Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana: Great resort

This was a really nice resort. It was large enough to not feel cooped up but small enough that we could give our nine year old some freedom. The pool was lovely and well maintained. The beach was nice And staff brought you drinks regularly 😁. Food was great. The restaurants were lovely and we didn't have to ever wait. The staff were extremely friendly. We would recommend this resort!

Ocean Blue and Sand: Great Vacation!

Ocean Blue and Sand is a beautiful resort with beautiful staff. This is our second time visiting this resort. I do have to say that they are under staffed. When we arrived at the resort we were over an hour waiting in the check-in line. Also, they are under staffed in the restaurants. The staff work so hard and are running around to accommodate us but they just do not have enough staff to keep up with the people staying here. The food is absolutely amazing hats off to the chefs. There is a variety for everyone. Mike's cafe is another little treasure that is amazing, you can get a variety of teas, espresso, cappuccinos, lattes, fraps, etc.. The grounds are gorgeous and well groomed, the workers keep everything so nice and beautiful. The pool is awesome and very clean. The beach is also beautiful but they have put these big sand barriers to block the waves as it has eroded some of the beach. You can walk along the beach for hours both ways. The rooms are spacious but just another note to the owners of this hotel, it is time to start to renovate. That being said you spend so little time in your room. We had a great vacation and would return.

Impressive Premium Punta Cana: Impressive resort!

The staff at this resort proves to be hard working and most accommodating to all of its patrons.They are responsible for a most pleasant stay. The grounds and rooms are immaculate. All rooms are kept clean and supplies are never lacking. My concern for them is that the tourists are not tipping them for their hard work.

JOIA Bavaro by Iberostar: Totally Top Drawer Resort

The luxury of space, attention to detail, staff that could not do enough for you - what was not to like? Excellent resort golf course - Pete Dye - on of the great golf course designers of his era. Restaurants were great - sometimes a bit cool - but I guess better that than too warm. Fabulous entrees and imaginative appetizers. We had a fabulous room with an ocean view. Thank you “Boom Boom” for you attention and caring about our stay with you.

Riu Republica: Something for everyone!

We loved the pools, the bars and buffet. Food was great and the service was impeccable. On the downside was the beach... chairs were unorganized stacked and blocked the ocean view from the shade areas. Seas can be rough so if you want an ocean swim it may be too rough. But we had a blast this place is huge, all ages and tons of activities. Nightlife was fun too.

Barcelo Bavaro Palace: Great place BUT

My child contracted Hand-foot-and-mouth disease on the third day. This is a very contagious virus so it is obviously lurking all over this resort. We met other people whose kids got it too and found out after that there is an outbreak of this disease in Punta Cana, and has been for a few weeks already. We met people at the airport who stayed at different resorts whose kids were also infected. This REALLY spoils your vacation. And the worst part is - this is a known issue. Many children were seen [... read more] by a doctor and have confirmation notes of this disease. At the airport, the check-in agent knew right away what it was and told me to go straight to the doctor when I get home. We should have been notified prior to the trip of this outbreak especially given the young age of our children who are most at risk. For four out of seven days we stayed in our room watching movies because my daughter had a high fever and a painful, itchy rash. Huge waste of money for us. This resort is not cheap. Otherwise the place is pretty good and I would return. Great amenities. The food is ok. The rooms were not my favourite but that's probably because we stayed in ours so much that I had time to notice every little imperfection.

For the most part we had a pleasant week at the Ocean Blue and Sand. I would say its closer to a 3.5* than a 4 * resort - I thought the price was fair for the condition of the resort and the fact it was March break. PROS - very good food; I found the buffet very clean, food well prepared and tasty (breakfast was best, with a fresh juice bar, crepes, made to order omelets etc. We ate dinner at the Mexican and Italian (we preferred the buffet) In speaking with other guests, we heard the steak  [... read more]and Japanese restaurants were very good. - Mike's coffee house was fabulous; great espressos, cappuccino's, baked goods - I would prefer they opened at 6:30 am (vs 7:30 am) as a lot of the excursions leave early and it would be nice to get a coffee beforehand - outside of the resort, pool, gardens were very well maintained - beach was small but nice - staff , entertainment, dining and cleaning staff worked hard and were very nice. Check-in employees were quite rude and not very helpful, the resort definitely needs to address CONS - the rooms we stayed in the 7 block were quite dated and poorly maintained. We could see the bed linens were stained and requested the cleaning staff change. The air conditioning was not working properly and the cupboard doors on the dresser were falling off. Our daughters bathroom kept being flooded by the room above. After asking maintenance staff to fix it (3 days in a row) they finally moved us to block 9 rooms which were much better - Gym was terrible; one treadmill, one elliptical machine, looked very unkempt and not very clean - Towel game is played here - People were getting up at 5:30 - 6:00am to reserve chairs that sat empty for hours - this needs to be addressed by the resort staff - Resort allowed vendors into the main square 2 evenings during our stay to sell their trinkets, souvenirs. I found them quite aggressive and we would literally have to go out of our way to avoid them. - Hear there were issues from other guests on aggressive timeshare salespeople but we never encountered it Overall we had a pleasant stay - not sure I would stay here again as there are several other resorts that looked quite nice that we would like to try. I would recommend to friends and family with the warnings above to manage expectations.

Iberostar Waves Punta Cana: Amazing time!

We had an absolutely great time, the staff were friendly and helpful, the resort, beach and pools were beautiful and well maintained, the food was good and as plentiful as the drinks, the nightly entertainment was fun and the only time we had an issue (room wasn't cleaned when we returned one day) the staff was quick to rectify.

Breathless Punta Cana Resort: Great resort!

Very clean, beautiful property, long beach, friendly staff! Only caution is if you use the medical/doctor on call ask for the fee upfront! They tell you after the fact that there is a charge and the charges were extremely high ($495 for 15 min)

Bahia Principe Explore Legend: Excellent!

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: I had such a nice vacation

Beautiful, well kept, clean, amazing beach and pools, convenient shuttle, great food. Only complaint was that becsuse there are so many activities going on, it is pretty loud in common areas such as beach, pools, buffet, lounge/lobby. Room was very quiet.

Caribe Deluxe Princess: Great time!

We had an amazing time, resort was very clean, staff were polite and good food! No one got sick from the food. Furniture in room a bit outdated but you only sleep in there. Cleaners were always on time and room fridge always stocked

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Fantastic

Clean and comfy room with pool view. Cleaned beach daily and pool . Food was great and service as well .we stayed for a week could of stayed for two more weeks!night life was entirely entertaining and everyone joined in with dancing and singing! And plenty of pussy around to take of any rodents! The gardens and grounds were very neatly maintained

Riu Palace Macao: Nice place for people fifty plus.

We liked everything about the hotel complex but the room. That was our fault. We booked standard room and got a postage stamp room with a small double bed and the room was at the farthest corner of the resort from everything. I should have gone for upgraded room.

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Beautiful and Clean

The grounds very well kept, clean and beautiful. The workers were not as friendly as in Cuba as per our experience, but we would certainly go back to this resort. We stayed at the adult resort Aquamarine. I will look for adults only for future resorts that we book. The pool was large with lots of places to swim and sit with good music. Shopping was great, didn't even haft to leave the resort. This was our first time in Dominican. We had to upgrade our room because the garden view was of a road a [... read more]nd a building in behind a fence that was very noisy. We were in front of the pool area that was nice, if we wanted to stay on our patio at night we could listen to the music in the lobby. Most nights we went to the bar and did a lost of dancing. Meant people and made new friends. The only negative we have are the bug bits that we had all over our bodies, mostly at night in the lobby and as we walked around the grounds.We had to spray our bed and sheets with off because when we got up in the morning we had been biting as we slept.

Punta Cana Princess: Ok resort!

Found resort to be well taken care of but showing it's age and needing some TLC! Check in was quick which is much appreciated late in eve. But only a point in direction of room was offered suitcases arrived sometime later on trolley that could have brought us too. Room was clean but not functional with no door on bathroom and poor lighting. Wasted space with a jacuzzi and no where to put clothes. Service was depending on how many Yankee dollars you gave out and the drinks poor quality if you di [... read more]dn't pass out enough ....no surprise there! Location and beach beautiful and workers tried to keep seaweed removed. Not a great place for early risers as security would take your stuff while you were outwalking, even shoes!!! Food was average.

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Fantastic Resort

Very clean, great staff. Good selection of food. Beach was beautiful. A place where you can be as busy or relaxed as you like! Aquamarine is an adults only resort. The Bahia Principe is a large resort which has many things for all ages. Can't wait to go back!

Vista Sol Punta Cana: Perfect Resort!

I really enjoyed our time there I even tried to stay longer! The food, entertainment, rooms, pools, beach and hotel staff were amazing! I would highly recommend this resort! Loved it! Next time I will stay longer as 7 days was too short. The fact you can also walk to everything was a big selling feature for us! Keep up the great service we will be back again!

Impressive Punta Cana: Beautiful resort

I was a little iffy about this resort. My sister was going for 10 days and wanted me to join her. I said no at first but then decided to surprise her, In the long run we had a good time. The resort was very clean and beautiful. The beach was very beautiful. They were constantly removing any weeds that came in. I loved the nightly show where we could dance and then there was the nightly entertainment which was great. Animators were very friendly and anxious to please. The food was n [... read more]ot the best I've had in Punta Cana but there was a good selection. Always PLENTY OF TOWELS and never had any problem finding any chairs at either the beach or the pools. I liked the fact that we didn't have to reserve for the restaurants and could go as often as we wanted.

Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Punta Cana: Unbelievable resort

Hands down the most beautiful resort we’ve ever been to. Clean, staff were so pleasent, food was incredible, beach was a two minute walk and multiple pools some quiet and relaxed and some were non stop parties. This was all inclusive to the nines. Will be hard to top this resort. We will definitely be back.
