Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Small, cozy and really nice reasort ! Relaxing

$5 minutes from the airport. Love the fact that it was a small resort. Everything was not to far. Renovated with ocean view room were beautiful, clean and comfortable. The people were amazing. The beach was shallow and really beautiful. Kite boarding (surfing) spot ! (But not too windy to be on the beach and relax...) Food was really good for a Cuban resort, we were impressed. We went to Pilar beach, it was an amazing beach (take a 5 pesos bus, 15 minutes ride) and worth the ride.

Tryp Cayo Coco: Just OK

Great beach - beach huts could use some work. Rooms are tired. Hot water is hit and miss. Restaurants are good; buffet is so so. Staff do their best with what they have to work with. Sat next to a coffee stain in the lobby for 5 days.

Hotel Mojito: Great resort,but wouldn't book with HolaSun again

Resort is great., been there twice now...as always great people,service,beach..hmmm good. Flight however wasn't enjoyed...plane & crew ✈ didn't show up.thanks god we were not traveling with kids and infants. Still waiting for monetary reimbursement for one lost day. Rather than that would book this trip again....Viva Cuba...small but independent

Hotel Mojito: Excellent vacation!!

The grounds are beautiful the grounds keepers do a wonderful job. We were in building 18 ground floor, the rooms do need updating but they are comfortable, housekeeping do an amazing job they keep the rooms spotless and always have a smile. Food is good, there's a good variety, at the buffet there's choices of pasta, grilled chicken, beef and fish. There's a snack bar by the pool that makes excellent pizzas and at the beach they offer burgers,hot dogs and fries. The beach is a 5min. walk from th [... read more]e main area of the resort but well worth it. There are plenty of beach cabanas and chairs and the men that work on the beach are very helpful. The beach is beautiful, it's one of the reason we keep going back along with the people who work at this resort, they are so friendly and appreciative. A special thank you to Arquimides who is very attentive to everyone's needs and does an excellent job.

Hotel Playa Coco: Excellent vacation.

The hotel is very nice. The beach and surrounding buildings were perfect. The staff was very professionnal and nice. I really appreciated all the friendliness. They were always available to help us. We room was very clean and the food was great.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Best food in Cuba

This is one of the best resorts we've been to in Cuba. It certainly had the best food, especially at the a la cartes. The staff were friendly and had many activities for the guests. The downside was the beach - lots of coral/rock but if you can climb over it you get to nice sandy shallow waters.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Amazing value for Cuba

We loved this resort and would return! Beach awesome, pool bar, entertainment ! Food even better! Pleasantly surprised !!you have worries going to Cuba but not here, service wonderful, clean , rooms extra clean, no worries for towels or loungers !!!

Muthu Colonial Hotel: Awesome resort!

We have been to this resort 5 times and love it! The best beach, awesome pools, the resort workers are bar none. Small resort but you can walk the beach for hours. If your going for the food....stay home. What they do have is great! The grounds are suburb,resort is 15 minutes from the airport.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Amazing resort!

First time in Cuba and everything was just amazing. Food was great, the room was nice and the people and the service was amazing, I couldn't ask for more. If you visit this resort make sure to try Oscar's Mojitos by the pool and not the pool bar. Highly recommended resort!

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Never will return to this resort

This resort should not be rated a 4 star! When we arrived we had no air conditioning, the hair dryer did not work, the toilet would not stop running, the patio doors were hard to open and close, the screens on the doors were torn, and It took them 4 days before we were transferred into a different room. The room we were transferred into had no hot water. For the amount of money that I had spent on this vacation was not worth it at all. This resort only had 1 show per night at 9 o'clock every nig [... read more]ht, it was the same thing over and over, just music and dancers. The 24 hour bar only had a TV as there entertainment. I WOULD NOT RECOMEND THIS RESORT TO ANYONE AT ALL.

Melia Jardines del Rey: Nice resort

Accommodations were modern and very clean. Food was excellent but lineups at buffet grills were slow. The beach was disappointing if you enjoy walking in the water but the pools made up for it. Staff are very friendly.

Hotel Playa Paraiso: Fantastic vacation at Pestana Cayo Coco

Loved the hotel, grounds, staff and food. The only complaint would be the wait time at the beach grill for pizza and fish. The snack bar staff were the best, especially Mara. No entertainment past 11:00 pm but there's always the option of going to the disco which is 5 minutes outside the resort, however you do have to pay extra for this.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Awesome Resort

Everything about this resort is perfect. The service, the lobby is amazing, the beach is so good after going to Pilar beach one day, i decided Iberostar Daiquiri's beach was just as good. The Air Canada Rep was very helpful at the resort, the trip to and from the hotel were great with knowledgeable staff.

Tryp Cayo Coco: Great resort, just needs a little tlc

I would like to first start off with noting that I did enjoy my stay here and would most definitely come back again! Hopefully with a few small improvements (such as the ones I list below) this place can be great once again and function at it's full potential. It's not that far off from doing so either. Now on to my observations which I have also posted on Trip Advisor (along with photos): Room: The room had everything we basically needed. The beds were also fine, a bit firm for our taste, but [... read more] did the job. (Note to management: They should be replaced soon for what it’s worth). The room was also kept clean by our maid and she always made sure to give us a bottle of water each day along with fresh towels and sheets. We greatly appreciated this! Rooms also have a fridge which we kept our water in and any drinks we bought, but for management’s sake I think it would be nice to consider filling these fridges up with at least a soda or two and put the bottle of waters in them. Just a thought. My only pet peeve with the room would come down to the bathroom. The bathtub in our room easily needs to be replaced as there were some rust spots, and something needs to be done about the hot water. It always seemed like between 5 pm – 7 pm that there was basically no hot water. Now I’m a realist and I understand that this is the time many (if not all people) take a shower to get ready for dinner so I didn’t complain, but I just want management to be aware that something needs to be done about making sure hot water is constantly being provided to all the rooms. Food: Overall when it came to the food me and my partner found more than enough items to snack on and not go hungry during our stay. At breakfast you can find items such as eggs, French toast, crepes and omelets. There also plenty of fruit and juices to eat and drink. You can also have espresso or a cappuccino, but I preferred to get these either at the hotel lobby bar or the 24 hour snack bar (both very close to the buffet). For lunch and dinner you can also try grilled meats (chicken, pork, beef, fish, squid, crab etc.), as well as fried rice made with egg, pasta and pizza. Overall the food was more than enough for the two of us, but this is not the place for someone who wants more then what I described above. If you want a greater selection of food and condiments then you need to go somewhere more Americanized (i.e. Mexico or Dominican Republic). That’s the reality folks. But if you enjoy fresh food and fruits, and can do without the condiments (or don’t mind bringing your own), then you’ll be fine. I always say Cuba is one of the few places still where their food is fresh, gmo free and all that jazz. Might as well enjoy it while it lasts before it changes in my opinion. Beach: Without a doubt the beach in front of the hotel was amazing, and I spent most of my days here with my partner. I couldn’t have asked for more. There are also coral reefs in front of the hotel (about 15 meters away) so if you have your own snorkeling gear then be sure to bring it. You’ll get to see some neat fishes (especially if you bring some chum with you). Pool Areas: There are 2 main pool areas. One basically sits in front of the main building facing towards to the beach (this one has a swim up pool bar), and the second one is off the right side which is known as the quiet pool. I personally didn’t spend any time at the quiet pool, but it looked like a nice area to be in if you would want some peace and relaxation. Entertainment: As previous reviewers have mentioned each night there was a children's program that starts at 8:30 pm. usually some kind of dancing competition. This was then followed by a show for the adults which would start at 9 pm. Out of all the shows we had seen the Michael Jackson one was the best! Definitely make sure to be there when that shows on for that day, you won’t regret it!

Hotel Playa Paraiso: Second Time to the amazing resort

My wife and I just got back from this beautiful resort, it was one of the best weeks that we have had down in Cayo Coco. I am not going to name staff members, as there is too many to name, but everyone there was great, from the maid, to the people behind the bar, and the people in the restaurants. We especially liked being invited to a special dinner for returning guests, it was amazing. We had a amazing room overlooking the pool, entertainment was great as usual The was only one thing, but  [... read more]no control of it, people going down early in the morning, and putting their towels on chairs, so they can claim them for the whole day, they did this at t he pool and on the beach. But again, we had a great time, and we will try to get down there again next year, and hopefully with other people, I will spread the word to my friends about your great resort.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: A Solid Three Star Resort ***

Overall this is a solid three star resort. The price for this vacation reflects a three star and that is what a traveller should expect and does receive. Diamond Club is low cost and is beneficial (Lobster Dinner, reserved spot at buffet and beach, reservations at a la carte restaurants provided, late check out, and more). Beach is fantastic, weather superb, rooms clean, food is three star for sure (no lettuce at all, long lines at food preparation stations, always pork available, and generally  [... read more]more or less cafeteria quality). Do not eat at the Diamond Club a la carte breakfast restaurant - very disappointing. Service is very good. Entertainment is okay for something to do. Building 3 is excellent. Starfish Cayo Guillermo: Very good resort

It is a 3 star resort so one must adjust expectations but we loved it. we had a nice quiet bungalow and that is JUST what we wanted. We very much enjoyed our trip and would totally go back. The staff were really nice and the beachside accomadations were the best.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Well Worth the Money

I have traveled quite often over the past 10 years and this resort was ideal for many reasons. Although this resort was small, it was very compact and everything was close to each other. The hotel was very clean, the food was decent and the wait staff everywhere on the resort was exceptional. Also, the cost was very reasonable. This was the cheapest that I have ever paid for a trip in 10 years and this resort was well worth every penny I spent.

This resort stood up to its stars. The gardens were beautiful, the people were absolutely friendly. The room was so clean, I always hear bottom floor horror stories but we didn't have any issues. The pool was great, very well kept and clean. The food was good (I'm prefer to Cuban food though) and the entertainment during the day was fun and night was great. It was quieter and less coral. You only had to find your way over a couple of feet of it but it wasn't sharp just bumpy. Once you got past that it was heaven. There's an excursion called Break at Pilar, I highly recommend. Yes you are paying to go to another beach but it's one of those places you go and never want to leave. This was truly an amazing resort and I would definitely go back.

Melia Jardines del Rey: Terrible food

Hotel was OK for cuba ,not worn out ,no water in the hotel for a while day. Staff was rude ,not friendly at all . people bathjng in the pool because of no water . entertainment was also terrible, last time I go to Cuba :(
