Melia Cayo Coco: The Six Canadian Ladies

I strongly encourage all people wanting to go to Cuba to stay in Melia Cayo Coco as it has everything you want & more. Beautiful beaches, very clean & friendly staff, lots to do, a very large buffet of everything you can imagine with a main lounge & large entertainment bar beside. Lots of meat, fish, yummy desserts, fresh vegetables & fruit. They’re à la cart, restaurants International, a beach restaurant & Cuban. Bar on the beach, many games to take part in & dance classes if you want a little  [... read more]exercise. Also there’s a fitness Centre beautiful large pool. We went on one of the excursions as well & it gave us a new appreciation of the Cuban people. I will go every time to this wonderful place.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Amazing resort

The staff are so friendly and accommodating. The food, buffet and ala cartes, were excellent. The beach, the pool and the bars are all amazing. If I had to complain, it would only be the lack of hot water in the shower. First day was cold, but warm after that. It was doable

It was amazing,the staff are so friendly. The rooms are clean,no bugs.the pool was so beautiful and clean.the beach was totally beautiful. The entertainment was phenomenal. We didn't have bread for 2 days.but we had food the whole time

Sol Cayo Coco: Love this resort

Our room wasn't quite done yet. Everyone was friendly and polite. We were disappointed that the toaster was broke and not fixed with in our 2 week holiday. The upgraded areas were fantastic. The disco, the outside concert was covered and amazing. However the timing of our flight was very difficult for many people and may prevent us coming back which would break our hearts. Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Great vacation

We had a very good stay at Memories Flemenco. The staff are amazing and go out of their way to make sure everything is perfect for you. The beach was amazing. You can walk the beach for miles or lay on one of the many loungers on the beach. The grounds are very clean and well maintained. The food is very good and lots of it. We had a great vacation at Memories Flemenco.

Grand Aston Cayo Paredon Beach Resort: Beautiful Resort

The resort is beautiful and the layout was well designed. The beach was great and clean. The food was good for Cuba but the long line ups were frustrating. Some of the staff at the buffet were arrogant and rude. The drinks at the lobby bar were water down. Not enough waiters at the lobby bars at peak hours. Many times some drinks were not available due to some ingredients availability. Grand Aston Cayo Paredon Beach Resort: Amazing resort

Les chambres sont grandes et très propre. Pour le lobby bar très propre aussi mais j’ai trouvé le personnel du lobby pas très aimables. Lorsque l’on allait pour un drink souvent ils nous ignoraient et fesait passer d’autres clients devant nous c’était très frustrant. La plage est exceptionnelle et les piscines très belles. Pour la nourriture cela dépends des goûts comme nous ne sommes pas difficiles la nourriture pour nous était correct.

Iberostar Coral Esmeralda: First and last visit

I had an incident the first night I arrived at this hotel. Two men were pounding on my door and speaking in Spanish and I didn’t understand what they were saying. I had been lying in bed as it was 8:20 pm and walked to the door to hear the door lock open (I had the bolt on too). I met these two men as they were trying to enter my room and they asked me if my cable was working. The one man had two towels under his arm. I said there was nothing wrong with my cable and I closed the door. I immediat [... read more]ely called the desk and was told they would speak to the maintenance men. I then got dressed and headed over to the desk to speak to management. I met the two men standing and talking to a third man in the area just outside my room. As I passed the one man said ‘Can I talk to you? I said ‘no and stay out of my room’. When I got to the desk and spoke to the staff they told me that the manager wasn’t available. A minute later one of the ‘maintenance’ men appeared at the desk and I said that’s the guy who was just at my room. They guy at the desk said that he was the manager. I said tell him to stay out of my room. I was then told that he wasn’t able to tell him to stay out of my room as he was the manager and that he had the right to go into my room! I then proceeded to tell the man behind the desk that I didn’t feel safe and didn’t want anyone, including housekeeping to come into my room. I was uncomfortable as I was travelling alone to this resort. I was uneasy and slept with a table against my door that night. The next morning I spoke to the Air Transat representative for the hotel. She spoke to the manager and he claimed that there was a complaint previous to my visit about the cable. I told her that I didn’t want anyone including housekeeping to enter my room. There was evidence that someone was in my room as a piece of paper was left on the table and not under the door. Also I had a housekeeper enter my room when I was in the glass shower that is right by the door and if someone was passing by in the hallway I would have been in full view. I had said repeatedly not to enter as I was in the shower. I was lucky to meet four other women who were travelling together who befriended me and looked out for me that week, otherwise it would have been a very stressful vacation of trying to feel safe at this location. I posted on the Facebook page for this resort my experience and it was removed, as were other posts about incidents with young women. If you’re a single woman travelling alone I wouldn’t recommend this resort.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Amazing older resort

We are just back from a 11 day stay at this resort. Our stay was great eventhough it is in need of some upgrades the staff is fantastic. The owners are in prossess of spending lots of money renovating on many fronts. We did experience some shortages with food and some drinks but overall the food was not bad....we did'nt starve. The beach was fabulous!!

Iberostar Coral Esmeralda: Very Unique Resort

It was very well laid out with several pools to accommodate each building. The Cuban people were pleasant and helpful. The food was good but not great but they did their best. The weather was consistent and very windy for the first several days. Beautiful ocean colour! Worth it.

Melia Jardines del Rey: Amazing Resort with Amazing Staff

This is our 2nd trip to the Melia and it didn’t disappoint. The staff here are beyond amazing and always go above and beyond to make your trip the best it can be. The resort grounds are always well kept and beautiful. Our room was spacious and clean, yes the toilets would be my only complaint here, but that is what it is and expected. It does seem to be the same food over and over yes but this is Cuba and none of us starved. There are a-lot of rude people unfortunately that will grab all the bacon and all the bread etc, I often wonder if they eat all that bacon and bread at home in one sitting or they just assume this is all inclusive and free for all and who cares about everyone else. Can’t let those kinds of people ruin your vacation. If you want specific food I would recommend just bringing it with you and problem solved. IE. bagels, snacks, cereal bars, ketchup, spices, hot sauce etc. The beach was definitely more rocky this time but if you walk a few feet down to the right, there is a beautiful sandy part that you can walk way out and it’s stunning. The entertainment staff are Phenomenal here and will always get you as involved as you want, the pool bar staff again absolutely amazing. The pizza snack bar delicious!! The 24 HR snack bar does its job. Great staff there as well. Your vacation will be what you make of it and yes Cuba suffers with getting items delivered on a regular basis and odds are you will run of out something but I am pretty sure it will not be life or death and you will survive. You’re on vacation and away from the crappy weather and hustle and bustle of everyday life so just enjoy it !! You will never visit a country more welcoming than Cuba or with more friendly people. I have travelled to different countries and never get the same love as you do in Cuba. I see so many bad reviews and I want to shake these people and tell them how entitled they actually sound but it’s a waste of time and energy. Trust me if you go to this resort you will have one of the best vacations and meet some really amazing people that make this resort what it is. Lastly, I want to give a huge shout out to our travel agent Louise Enden who is absolutely the best. She will answer all your questions, she will give you the best advice on what is best for you. She will be with you from the moment you book till the moment you are home. She is always a phone call away if you need her for anything while on vacation. I have booked with Louise many times and she never disappoints. Thank you Louise for always being the best travel agent to us.

Valentin Cayo Cruz: A friendly and welcoming atmosphere to rest and relax on the beach or by the pool!

This was my third time visiting the Valentin Cayo Cruz. I go back because the resort is located in such a beautiful area. The beach is remarkable with crystal turquoise waters and white sand. The staff work diligently to keep it clean. We walked 3.5 km down the beach. The pool area is also a lovely spot with three separate pools depending on what you want to do. The food was really stepped up this year and we see the work they are doing to make best with the little they have. There was variety and quality to the food. The grounds are beautiful and clean and the staff are working all the time to keep it that way. I can't say enough about the wonderful staff. From the cleaners, to the entertainment staff, to the desk staff, to the waiters/waitresses, to the general manager (who took the time to stop and talk to us). We felt like VIPs. I feel safe at this resort. I will be back in 2026!

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Not horrible

Troubles with hot water in bungalows, heard from others they had similar issues. Food was good like any Cuban food. Staff were amazing. Beach is small but very nice. Rooms are a bit out of date and could use some work.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Just wow!

This was an amazingly clean resort with extremely friendly and helpful staff. Food was not like the typical Cuban fare you would expect, it was like being at a high class Toronto resort. Tons of seafood, tons of everything! My room was immaculate. The toilet didn’t work a couple of times, but was fixed so quickly each time I notified the customer service people. Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Great price - beach incredible

If you are looking for a beautiful vacay for a decent cost this is a great resort but do the upgrade!! The beach is incredible, the resort food is decent, lots of amenities coffee bar, piano bar and sports bar snack bar never closes. The beach bbq is amazing and too shelf alcohol is a plus. Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Friendly Staff

I've stayed at this resort twice, the first time was 5 years ago and it was your typical Cuba experience, basic (but good) food, beautiful beach, friendly staff, the best coffee and barista you will find. I had the same guy both visits, you will probably find him behind the counter if you go there. Tell him "Americano and latte" say hi! Toilet paper was hit or miss, you had it in your room but the public washrooms only sometimes. We knew this and brought our own but didn't need to. The resort itself is dated but clean and they certainly do the best with what they have. My only real issue was the sand fleas, they were not an issue on my first visit but definitely on the second. Oh, and nothing to do with the resort but a shout out to the smokers, can you just not in public places...including beaches? Nasty habit that affects everyone around you, it's just rude.

It was a wonderful getaway. The resort itself is beautiful, featuring a long beach ideal for leisurely walks along the shoreline. However, it is worth noting that the resort is somewhat isolated from local towns, making it a bit of a trek to reach various excursion points. The jeep excursion that navigated through small towns, providing insight into the daily lives of the Cuban people. This journey really began at a farm where we learned about cultural practices related to the harvesting of fruits, honey, and coffee. I highly recommend this experience. The catamaran excursion was equally enjoyable. We truly enjoyed our time at Grand Aston Paredon and appreciate the efforts made by the staff to create a memorable experience for all guests.

The grounds and resort were beautiful and well kept. The staff were super friendly. Our "waitress" housekeeper was so helpful in language translation and helping us with a little trouble we had. We had dinner at the Italian and Brazilian restaurants and made my birthday very special. The Air Transat liaison was so informative and helpful. We stayed by the pool as the beach was windy. We really enjoyed our stay. The resort was clean, the food was good, and the staff is truly typical of the Cubans: welcoming and friendly. The performers in the evening shows were just amazing. Some of the best shows I’ve seen in all inclusive resorts.

Grand Aston Cayo Paredon Beach Resort: Resort was fabulous and the staff

We never had any issues what so ever .. we did do the Jeep Safari excursion and I really recommend it to everyone it was a great experience and learning. You will enjoy every day that you are there i know we did from the beach to the pool and the entertainment at night. There was a fair amount of children but it is family oriented so be prepared as just a couple ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
