Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Great stay overall!
Resort is well kept and the hotel was much the same, food was good at the buffet and some of the a la carte restaurants were on point. Would definitely step off the resort to experience some of the beautiful culture. The staff was very welcoming and accomodating. Overall a wonderful experience.
Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Excellent stay
Beautiful resort, friendly helpful staff. The staff have the rooms and grounds very clean. Great variety of food. The only thing that I would change is to get a pool or resort view. We had a garden view and it was overlooking the bus depot/maintenance building that were picking up the resort workers. They were honking the horns of the busses even though the night. I would most definitely return to the Aquamarine but have a better placement of our room.
Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Not up to the Bahia Principe usual standards
The room we were in was tired, shower did not drain, safe did not work,. There is a huge mosquito problem in the lobby areas We rarely had cutlery on our table at the buffet and the staff did not seem to care
Bahia Principe Escape Samana: Nothing to do here
If you're a solo traveller, stay away! This is a couples resort, even though it's not advertised as such. I use the term "resort loosely, as it's mostly just a hotel with a buffet, not much else. There is no entertainment, no nightlife, no activities. Even the seniors visiting were complaining about this! I unfortunately got locked in and couldn't cancel, so I had no choice but to stay here... thank goodness for excursions, or I would have died of boredom. If you're a couple who wants to do [... read more]
Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Amazing resort
Loved everything about it !! Nice place , friendly staff, very well organized and super clean. Loved the entertainment. The beach was beautiful.Highly underrated this resort. Love the food truck !!!!!
Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: 100/10
This isn’t a fake review, everything was perfect. The staff and service was all friendly and funny… the beach, pools, and walkways were as clean and colourful as the pictures… and the food was better than average. Do not listen to the people complaining.
Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: OK resort
I love resort and facilities, however, we wanted room to have view to the sea. Receptionist told me that we were already upgrade to a better, bigger room. Which I believed it was true. This room had no a bad view, but we faced other problems we didn’t expected to find on our vacation. First, room had a door to communicate with another room and noise coming from guests in that room was not pleasant, specially at 1:00 to 3:00 am. Not knowing policies about noise in those premises I didn’t file a c [... read more]

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: An excellent adults-only resort in a great resort complex
Staying at Sian Ka'an provided a great experience, allowing me to enjoy all the advantages of this adult-only resort, as well as all the facilities, restaurants etc within the larger Bahia Principe complex of four resorts. Good pool areas with ample chairs and bar/snack bar service. Dining ranged from very good to excellent. The buffet restaurant offered great breakfast and lunch options ( as well as dinner, which I didn't try). I enjoyed dinner in the a la carte restaurants ( 2 in Sian Ka'an- [... read more]
Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Greatvresort let down by details
The Bahia group of resorts have really nice facilities. Reception, public areas, pools are all great. Unfortunately the rooms at Akumel are very old and tired, and not at all 5 star. Also a la carte restaurants are great, IF you can get a reservation. It is almost impossible to get reservations at reasonable times. I personally I'd chose Sian Kaan if you don't have kids, but it's a 10 min shuttle ride to the beach.
Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Great hotels
Debbie was deported from PUJ airport to Ottawa Canada because she couldn't find her passport so we got traumatised. Finally she got back but it ruined our vacation. The hotel got our room wrong at 1st. Once everything got straight we loved our room. The hotel and entire resort is beautiful we just had such a horrible start.
Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Not bad but not great
The beach extremely far and full of seaweed. It’s really far from the airport so get ready for 2 hour drive. The food was good but you can book only 3 restaurants per a week stay and it’s very hard to book. The entertainment team was great in the pool and there is lots of shows in the evening. This hotel is really nice if you have kids with you as they for sure will find friends to play with. It’s a 3.5 star resort as it’s not that expensive it’s worth the price
Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Beautiful Resort and Friendly Staff
My stay was very relaxing experience, which was the total purpose of it all. The front desk customer relations representative, Miguel AKA Mike, was very helpful from the moment I checked in. Requested for a room upgrade, in front of the pool, and he was able to do it for me right then and there. Throughout my stay, if I needed something OR I had any questions/requests, he was the person I went to. Overall, my stay was awesome!
Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Good and can be even better
Very nice grounds, clean rooms, great food and friendly helpful staff. It’s not for the beach lovers. Water murky and with sea grass. There is a need for major upgrades to the water sports equipment.
Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Very nice resort
Our room was near the pool so amazing views. Riom was dated but we still liked it. The sliding doors had little gaps so we had to stuff toilet paper in as there were alot of mosquitoes. Our group of 6 had alot of bites, and beach had alot of sand pleas. Meals were disappointing actually, best was Japanese.
Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Top Notch Resort!
Bahia Principe Resorts never ceases to amaze and this one didn't either. Food was fantastic, snorkeling right on the beach with tons of fish to see, endless entertainment for the kids and so much to walk around and see! Aside from the rooms needing an update the rest of the resort was amazing! Would highly recommend!!
Bahia Principe Escape Samana: Perfect for escape!
It’s an amazing hotel if you are romantic personality and admire the view. The beach is very private, you can read your book without anyone trying to sell you sombrero; it’s quiet around the pool, just lounge or instrumental music (thank you), the food was ok, I could find something tasty for each meal and the rooms obviously need more care, especially in the bathroom. But who cares when you are among all these beauty? I’ve visited spa as well and it was pretty decent.
Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Exceeded expectations!
I recently stayed at this exceptional resort, and I can confidently say that the experience far exceeded my expectations. The photos on the website simply don’t do it justice! From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this place is committed to quality and service. The food was of the highest standard, and what impressed me most was how it was always available. Whether it was a quick snack or a full meal, there was never a shortage of options. The staff was always visible and working tire [... read more]
Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Great week
Hotel was really clean and the staff was awesome and the food was great. kids waterpark the pool and the ocean was all excellent. The entertainment at night was excellent. Weather for the week 28 deg and sun every day
Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: March 2025 - had a lovely time!
We were the last to get off our airport shuttle bus, making for a long day of travel (numerous drop-off stops along the way). Thankful at least for the 11pm-7am Truck restaurant, as we came in late and hungry! Check-in was relatively painless, as we were the only people coming in at that time. Front desk staff was cordial, although things sometimes took a while to get resolved. We were given a room with two double beds and asked to be switched to one with a king-size bed. After a soft sel [... read more]
