The Sens Cancun: Nice Place

We had a great time. I like the location of the hotel at the tip of the Cancun Hotel zone - not too loud. Lots of washrooms and bars spread around the resort. Hotel was kept very clean and the staff was excellent in all areas. It was nice to have access to the bussing system to travel off the resort reasonably and to be able to walk to the ferry to go to Isla Mujeres. Food was very good but not a lot of variety. I especially loved the Sushi Bar. The sports bar was great for the kids (pool table, [... read more] ping pong, air hockey and foosball). On a negative note: Wish it had a balcony, mini bar, warmer pool and 24 hour bar service. Beach was small, crowded and chairs were always reserved but could walk down to find some room and just use our towels.

The Sens Cancun: disappointing

The hotel room was very damp and smelt very musty. The floor was sticky. The pillows were sour, like the smell of laundry left in a washing machine for a week. The window leaked when it rained. The shower needed some renovations. The Beach was lovely but the sea gulls were extremely aggressive whenever anyone had food, so I got pooped on 3 times in 2 days. The pool was too cold to go in until mid day. There wasn't many places to go to get some quiet relaxation in. Food was good and the staff were all good and helpful.

Grand Oasis Riviera: fantastic staff all round

beautiful beach and very comfy beds!!the rooms were so so not what we would call amazing..sorry grand oasis..you are missing a clear direction and we were getting very mixed messages!! i know its supposed to be the ''calm resort'' but with absolutly no music in any out side areas but banging and construction in al the hallways and outside that was not calming, but sad!!we had many issues with this...food was basic as were the drinks..if you wanted premium you had to pay and we were in the grand  [... read more]section..humm not so grand! disapointing stay,we had booked a balcony and were given a room with only a window that did not open!! requested a room change and were given one the following day on first floor with a walk out to pool..much nicer but had a musty smell and the plumping traps in bathroom were not done properly so had the gasses coming into room at times from rooms above! we were also constantly harrased by the life styles staff to come on a ''tour'' for a free bottle of tequila..yep! thats why we spent the extra money hoping for a ''grand experiance'' NOT...also listening to every one we came in contact with complaning about their experaince was very sad//thank heaven we didnt stay on the reg oasis side..they were truely miserable there!!BUT on the upside we did have some wonderful experiances with the staff..all very hard working people true of heart and trying hard to make our visit a pleasant one..i would like to thank Noeli Gomez in the ''coffee and me'' shop for making us amazing coffee every morning[the stuff they call coffee in the buffet was gross] she was so pleasant and always had a smile and we always enjoyed going there..thanks for the laughs Noeli!!and the buffet staff were lovely and made our last night fun with some of our new and old friends with ''tequila boom booms''......also 3 of us ladies indulged in the best massages at the spa!! big thankyous go to Bruce in the SPA and i forget his name but the argentianan man with the pony tail...we must say gave us the best massages ever..i always request a female but couldnt this time BUT you made us all feel so comfortble and you made a convert out me! i will request a male next time thanks to this experiance!! we also did a mayan ritual on the resort with the argintenian man out side on the beach within the steam room ..i think is as called the ''tekelum''..very spirtual and i highly recommend it!!WOW..loved that part of this resort!! well thats it..good and bad..ps the front desk staff were very unfriendly and sour..proberly because of the constant complaints!..so sorry Grand Oasis i couldnt give you a better review..we are expected better and will definatly come back to tulum mexico but NOT to the oasis!

Oasis Tulum: Nice Beach, a bit rocky.

Great beach and the little coffee bar was the best. Service staff was great, management was not quite as good. Shows were pretty good. We got an old room and a long way from the beach. It took a long time to get to the airport when you add 3 extra stops.

Brisas Del Caribe: Nice Place

Nice pools, great beach. Good variety of bars open throughout the day. Friendly and grateful staff. Short walk to the bus into the city. Buffet hours seemed a little restricted as supper didn't open until 7 and there was always a huge line waiting to get in. 4 a la carte restaurants to choose from.

Brisas Del Caribe: Decent 3 star

Traveled Jan 29-Feb 5 2015. The resort grounds are very nice and well kept. Staff are seen often gardening, cleaning pools and helping to provide loungers and at times drinks on the beach. Our room was in the south section which is the older section of the resort but it is a great location as the 24 hr bar and snacks is close by and two very clean pools. It is about a 7 minute walk to the beach. The beach is amazing and you can always get a lounger and shade. To the right of the beach there is a [... read more] path which takes you to the beach bar and grill (2 minute walk) to the left on the beach you can easily access the north section pool bar and grill. The buffet as any resort gets repetitive; however, we had roast beef, pork, potatoes, rice etc. Breakfast was omelets, in-season fruit. We ate at snack bar often (pizza, hot dogs, hamburgers, sandwiches). The food is not the best but I have had worse in Cuba. The room was well maintained, extra blankets and pillows. Beds are older but we slept well. The only dowfall was not hot water for our first three days (solar heated and it had been cloudy the week before our week of sun). It certainly did not ruin our vacation.

Grand Oasis Palm: Great Resort - Overall good experience

Resort staff were great/helpful. Food was not the best I've had, but lots of choice made it easier. Location and rooms were great. five minute bus ride from heart of city and big spacious rooms. Beach was a tad crowded during the day and pool cold and shaded most days. Elevators and wifi were dreadful however. two tiny elevators for a big resort that were very slow. Overall, great experience

Grand Oasis Cancun: Vaca is what you make it to be

Small room buy we re arranged it to make it look like us. Great variety of food. Extra cheap liquor but the sale it for so cheap all over cancun. Dont buy anything on the beach which is marvelous by the way. All around a great vacation. Everyone was extra nice and courteous.

Grand Oasis Sens: 3.5* not a 4.5/5

I just came back from the Oasis Sens a week ago. I've been to Cancun many times and I do have to say, compare to the other resorts, this is definitely my least favorite. Room was ok, clean but dark...they should have a lamp beside your bed. We did not have a safe in our room, we did ask for one but never got one. The food... breakfast buffet is good, no buffet for lunch. They really should have one because, huge line ups to the sushi bar, hamburger/hot dog place, italian, mexican and chicken res [... read more]to. If your not in line by 12:00 noon, then good luck. For breakfast make sure you do try the Benazuza (reservations needed), it was excellent and the two waiters we had Alfonso and the other one were excellent. As for dinner, buffet, Italian, Mexican are ok. Japanese was really not good. Instead of serving us whatever they served us, they should do stir fry. Then we tried the Black Hole. You have to try it for the experience but the food was not the best. They have a coffee shop, don't know why they don't open it at 7:00 am instead of 9:00 am Hotel and pools are clean. Just beware at night if you walk around the pool because there is two pathway which are not lite.. yes there is yellow cones to make you aware but they should have a railing or something because we saw somebody fall and he could have gotten really hurt. Would I return, not sure.. maybe if the price was right.

Was great I will do it again good food good servicse clean room nice view great hospitality I loved the beach and most importantly the 24 hour bar is awesome the staff is great and very helpful I felt like home

Brisas Del Caribe: Amazing experience

I went with my family and are highly satisfied with our stay in Brisas del Caribe: It was clean, drinks and food were good in general, I specially loved their pastry. The resort made sure there was always something to do, and the best of all was their staff: amazing people. Of course there were minor issues but not worth a complain. I highly recommend this resort and the plan offered by Tripcentral.

Grand Oasis Sens: Average Resort

Oasis Sens is ok if you are not looking for amazing food. Did not have a safe in our room so after 2 days of asking for a safe and not getting anywhere, we shared with our sister who was staying in another room. Beware of staff at reception, they charged us more for the internet and even after telling them, they did not reimbursed us. They made copies of our receipt and said they would deal with the employee directly - beware of Rashid at reception, he's a thief. Elizabeth the manager, did not w [... read more]ant to give us our money back until the next day once she spoke with Rashid. Too late we were leaving!!! But overall, it's ok. The pools are beautiful and just like any other places, some bartenders are nice and others are jerks. Anyway it's better then shoveling snow and staying in the cold. Depending what you are looking for, I may or may not recommend this hotel. If I was go book this hotel under $1000 including taxes I would go, but would not pay more.

Oasis Tulum: Makes the Maya Riviera look bad.

Do not go there.The food was mediocre at best. Too many stew like dishes. I expected better Mexican food. There were more employees than guests walking around doing nothing. The public washrooms were small and stinky. The beach towels were a hit and a miss, one day they were there, the next day they weren t.There were people bothering you to buy time shares or something. The beach was very small and not enough chairs. Condo owners on the same beach that were irate towards the hotel guests(probab [... read more]ly a dispute between the condo owners and the hotel owners)which put the guests in an awkward position. Unnecessary noise everywhere. No change at the cashier. No air conditioning in main restaurant.

Hotel Blau Las Morlas Varadero Beach: I wil definitely being returningl

Anyone who has flown out of hamilton know its the only way to travel. Sunwing flight was very good. Las morlas is the resort i have been looking for years. Its smaller so not a lot of walking to get anywhere on the grounds. The staff are pleasant, friendly, helpful and they all speak English. The food was very good ,nice pool and pool bar,nice beach bar ,and pleasant grounds all around. I am a single traveller but it didnt feel like it for sure. Brisas Del Caribe: lovely beaches

basic rooms but very clean, nice beaches, great coffee, fantastic baked goods at the buffet (both breads and desserts). the staff were absolutely lovely especially with the children (it was a family vacation - 9 adults, 7 little ones). i wish it was closer to havana, but overall, it was a good experience.

Grounds were amazing. Well kept. Food was very enjoyable. Great NYE food gala. Amazing entertainment most nights. Not the best Casino! Not the best towel service for a big chain hotel. Staff was somewhat uninformed.

Be Live Turquesa: A complete disappointment !

I echo my companion's comments....m.cole. This was my first trip to Cuba and was looking forward to my trip. Unfortunately, this resort certainly was not a four-star, given the price we had paid. In addition to my friend's comments, I would like to add ..at new year's they ran out if champagne; ran out of real glasses to serve drinks, etc. I did enjoy my massage and some of staff. The only thing great about this resort was the Staff...particular the maids, the mechanical staff and Alphonso Castro...stay away from the food, does not look appetizing and will make you sick! Go to another hotel!

everything was good except foul food in Mexican restaurant. Animators doing their job great . Beach chairs was broken around 90%, so they should do something about it. i love the people on front desk, they can speak on few languages . nice clean room and service.

The Sens Cancun: Great family resort

Good restaurants, nice pool and beach area, and very friendly staff. I enjoyed the shuttle service supplied by Sunwing to and from the airport. The resort itself is very clean, and spacious. Kids enjoyed the pool and the kids club too.
