Riu Guanacaste: Great place

Everyone at the resort are great. The resort is going under renovations , so some times the elevators would break down. I must say that the nexus staff underestimated the times to get to our tours and the endurance needed to complete them. We feel that Sunwing should have a sign in the lobby stating info about flight status. Riu activity staff should also have a sign telling us what are the night activities and shows.

Riu Guanacaste: Great resort

Everything was wonderful great resort, great food, amazing service the stuff was wonderful especially at the bars, very clean rooms also clean resort all around I would recommend it to everyone for a wonderful vacation

Riu Reggae: Amazing Resort!!

Our second time around and Riu did not disappoint! Rooms were always cleaned, minibars always stocked, food buffet or ala carte always delish! Jerk Hut was amazing! Special shout out to our bartenders! Romaine, Akeem, Michelle and Sharon always a smile and never a wait :) will be back again! One Love JA

Riu Bambu: Do not book

Worst resort I’ve been to! Food was terrible, artificial and processed. Omelet and scrambled eggs made with the artificial container eggs. Got food poisoning the first night off the bruschetta. Spoke to another couple and same happened to them off the same food. Resort not kept clean. Found female staff hiding in the washrooms, on their phones. Not a 5 star resort, 3 1/2 at best. Pool floors were always dirty, no one walking around to pick up cups or clean up. The only good thing was the rooms [... read more] were cleaned properly. However such a big resort, they put the families in the far back about 15 min walk from the main area and the beach. Beware of this resort. Will not be visiting Riu ever again.

Riu Bambu: Amazing beach

Beach is unbelievable, best I've ever seen. Otherwise the hotel is definitely not 5 stars. 4 at most. A La Carte is not really worth the time, at all. Pretty much the same food all around except for the steakhouse. Rooms are ran down. We had a big party of 20 people across 5 rooms. All rooms were ran down. With that being said, they were NOT a disaster. Acceptable by our standards. Service was statsifactory with us, all issuess adressed in a tmely manner.

Riu Palace Antillas: Beach and ocean incredible

Review of Riu Antillas Adult only(February 3 – February 11, 2025) I recently spent a week at the Riu Antillas adult Aruba, and overall, it was a very enjoyable stay with some standout positives and a few areas that could use improvement. Here’s a breakdown of my experience: Food & Dining Experience: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ The buffet was impressive, offering a great selection of food that exceeded the standard for most all-inclusive resorts I’ve been to. However, the à la carte restaurants were a hassle. They operated on a first-come, first-serve basis, meaning long wait times and the possibility of standing in line for an hour just to get a reservation. We found this frustrating and ultimately chose to stick with the buffet, which turned out to be a solid choice. Hotel & Grounds: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ The hotel itself has a bit of wear and tear, but nothing that significantly impacted our stay. While I tend to be detail-oriented and noticed small deficiencies here and there, the staff was incredibly attentive and worked hard to maintain the property. The grounds were spotless, which speaks to their dedication. Beach & Pool Area: ⭐⭐⭐☆☆ The beach is one of the biggest draws of the resort, and while the ocean was beautiful, the beach itself was very crowded. If you wanted a palapa (shade hut), you had to wake up at 5:30 AM to reserve one, which was frustrating. Unfortunately, beach cleanliness wasn’t great, not due to staff negligence but simply because of how busy the area was. The staff was constantly working hard to maintain things, but with the high volume of guests, keeping the beach pristine was a challenge. Service & Staff: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ If there’s one thing that truly stood out, it was the service. The staff was exceptionally hardworking and attentive. From housekeeping to the restaurant staff, everyone went above and beyond to ensure guests were comfortable and well taken care of. Overall Experience: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ Would I return? Possibly, but I would mentally prepare for the beach crowding and the restaurant reservation challenges. The food, service, and cleanliness were all positives, while the crowded beach and dated areas of the hotel were the main drawbacks. Final Verdict: If you’re looking for a good all-inclusive with great food, excellent service, and a prime location in Aruba, this is a solid option. Just be ready to wake up early for a palapa and stick to the buffet unless you’re willing to wait for à la carte dining.

Riu Palace Aruba: Food Top Notch

Check in was short but confusing. Room was stocked well and clean. Beach was close, beautiful sand and warm waters. Staff was most helpful and pleasant. Can not say enough about the restaurants, staff and quality of food. Entertainment was pleasantly exciting.

Riu Emerald Bay: Riu,amazing resort

Riu resort was a fantastic trip,grounds in resort are well maintained. Food was great in all the different restaurants,lots of choices. Staff was excellant,friendly and always helpful. Superior rooms in newer section were excellent. Entertainment at night time was always a fun time.

Riu Emerald Bay: Great resort

Stayed in a superior room in the new section of the hotel. It was very spacious. Loved the little decorative touches the maid left everyday! The resort is very well laid out. Lots of pools and loungers. Found that there was lots of choices available at the Tres Isla buffet for dinner. Had breakfast everyday at the Malecon. Our favourite restaurant was the Bamboo. Enjoyed the ABBA tribute show. The guitar player and singer that played before and after were fantastic. We would definitely return to [... read more] the Riu.

Riu Bambu: Riu Bambo Punta Cana

Had a good time at this resort Had a nice room very clean great shower always hot water my maid was lovely I was in building 09212 The grounds were very nice The Buffet was good Good selections of foods and breads and fruits like the Mexican E LACARTE THE BEST steak house was always hard to get into you no longer book for dinners anymore you have to line up first come first bases I GUESS it works better then they will not have NO SHOWS all the staff was very friendly At breakfast are waiters  [... read more]were AMAZING JESUS. Riu Ocho Rios: Ocho Rios Vacation

The activities, the grounds, the rooms were all kept clean. I had an amazing experience. The food was great and the others attending the resort were so friendly. I wasn't extremely happy with the friendliness of the staff at the resort in comparison to everyone I had meet in Jamaica off the resort. I had one issue with the room were the bathroom door knob was broken and would lock you inside. Luckily my roommate was able to get me out and we proceeded to not full close the door to the bathroom.  [... read more]This should be fixed so that other travelers do not also have the same problem.

Riu Palace Mexico: Our RIU Palace Mexico review

To start, we always stay at RIU's, in different countries. This stay at RIU Palace Mexico we booked the Superior Junior Suites and was worth the bit of extra money for the great view. The room was so clean and spacious. These rooms are like an open concept where you can view the bathroom from the bed which isn't ideal for privacy but our particular room had a curtain divider (which you can tell had been later added). That was nice. Time from airport to resort: From the time the plane land [... read more]ed, collected luggage/customs, waited for the bus/van and arrived at the resort was 2.5 hours. The drive from the airport to the resort is a little over an hour. tip: Make sure you take a washroom break at the airport before you go outside to wait for the bus/van. Things we liked: bottled/can beer and pop in all the restaurants and bars. The grounds were spotless, staff friendly, our room was very clean, bed comfortable, balcony was a great place to relax and with a nice view. Food was plentiful and many choices even for a non-meat eater like myself. We were up and out by 6:30am to get beach chairs saved if we wanted a particular spot. The staff everywhere at this resort were wonderful! The beach was clean other than the seaweed days. The red flag was up the whole week so very large waves. We walked to a wee small market outside one day which is 5 minutes from the resort, the normal souviner stuff. Things that we were not so happy about. The nighttime entertainment was just "ok", nothing great but it passed the time. There was a piano player in the lobby most nights but he was way too loud and same old music each night. The resort bathrooms were awful, not always clean and well they stunk as it's quite humid maybe leaving the doors opened would help. There is only one bathroom for all people at the beach and the pools so there is always a lineup. The pools were just ok so spent our time at the beach instead. We attended the Neon party one night at the RIU Tequila (across the street) but there were so many people there we couldn't get into the theatre. Would we return to the RIU Palace Mexico again? Probably not, but nothing against the resort we just like trying different RIU's in different countries.

Riu Guanacaste: Fun resort

All and all a very nice hotel. Food was very good with a lot of variety. The Japanese was excellent although not being able to make reservations was a bit of a pain. The grounds were lush and well maintained. Beautifully landscaped. The pool is huge with tons of chairs and lots of places to sit in the pool bar. The rooms were comfortable and the ac worked great. Riu Guanacaste: Not a 5*

I was excited to return to this resort after a great trip several years ago but sadly have to agree with other visitors that this resort has gone downhill. Definitely not up to 5 star standards. The newly built section is nice. I stayed in the older section. Rooms and hotel in general are outdated and in definite need of repair and revamp. The food was a let down. Very repetitive and bland. The music at both pools was pounding loud all day. Great for those looking to party, not for those looking to relax. The pool bar in the older section smelled like it had not been cleaned in months. The beach is nice, but public, with many vendors crowding the beach to sell excursions and souvenirs. None of them were pushy but still not what you want to walk through every-time you want to be visit the beach. The nearest bar to the beach is up at the pool, a long way to walk to refresh your drink. Can't comment on the entertainment as we did not attend any of the shows. All this being said, every staff member I encountered (and there are many at all times) was friendly and hard working. I would rate the staff 5/5.

Riu Bambu: RIU MAMBO

Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: Beautiful resort

The hotel as usual was beautiful, we had a great room with a beautiful ocean view. The grounds were very nicely done with beautiful flowers and very clean. Entertainment was very good and put on wonderful shows. Dining at the buffet could use some improvement as the food was always the same, not a lot of variety, some of the people cooking need more training as some of the food was not cooked properly, like chicken needs to be cooked thoroughly and some were raw inside the same as with the lo [... read more]bsters they were raw, the grill where the food was being cooked were never cleaned so whatever they were cooking on it would be all black on the outside but raw inside. Actually one of the managers the night before we left came to talk to us at our table and asked us how they could improve and we told her the same things I just mentioned, hopefully she will convey the message and improve as she said she would

Riu Bambu: Good resort

Could use pool renos broken tiles in the pools someone could cut their feet and ruin there vacations.staff was very good and friendly tour operators were informative. Place was clean restaurants were always full.Riu party was amazing.

Riu Palace Antillas: Awesome Time!

We had an awesome two weeks time!!!! Saw and did everything, plus had LOTS of time to relax. VERY clean and GREAT a la carts. Would we go back, no. We have other places to explore, but this is another check off our bucket list.

Riu Santa Fe: Great resort

Very clean, food was great. Grounds are well groomed. Staff is friendly. Riu parties are lots of fun. Great resort to just relax or if you want to party there are parties. Very safe place to go. There are Excursions and plenty of activities to do if you wish to do so.

Riu Palace Paradise Island: RIU Palace — amazing food!!

Love this Hotel. Food never disappoints, so much selection!! Service excellent. Grounds and beach beautiful!! Drinks were the best!! Amazing 24 hour bar and disco!!! So much fun!!will be retuning very soon.
