Grand Decameron Los Cabos: excellent

food and service were excellent. suggestion would be to have snacks in lobby bar/lounge as its much busier with adult only crowd.our first room the beds were too hard-had to move. overall we loved it again-3rd time- and are going back again.

Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: An Excellent resort

This has been our fourth visit, which reflects how much we enjoy it. Extremely well managed property with friendly staff and spotlessly clean and tidy. Excellent food with good variety and selection for all meals and in-between.

Royal Solaris: Members vs Non-members

The place was fine except for the way we were treated as non-members. There was a large push to make members feel extra special. What they didn't seem to realize is, that it made the rest of us feel ignored. There were big special breakfasts with trays of danishes and croissants and champagne for the members, but the same ol daily banana bread for the rest of us. Table servers were focusing all attention on the members in hopes of getting bigger tips. So we often couldn't get our plates cleared, or a coffee at the end of our meal. There were a few really good servers and bar staff who were the exception to this and treated us great, but it was inconsistent. Holiday Inn Resort Los Cabos: Clean, friendly, basic & nice 3+ resort

-very clean -staff all very friendly & helpful ( especially sweet Veronica at the front check-in desk) -small entertainment team tried very hard, but you could never really see them because the stage lights were behind them, annoyingly shining right into the audience's eyes, leaving only dark shadows as entertainers. There were also 2 small light sets off to the sides, but they were only LED & offered almost insignificant lighting. A small change to the lighting could be a huge boost to  [... read more]the entertainment because you would actually be able to see them. - other entertainment: none, no disco , no piano bar, or no evening musicians in the lobby - bikes: 4 mornings a week at 9:15 you can go on a guided 1 1/2 hour ride downtown (same tour each day). -Nice ride. Bikes are not accessible other than on these 4 rides with a guide. - internet: wifi accessible around resort from your own device, 2 guest computers available for use in the lobby as well , -all free - 4 pools were nice: A) main, with activities & really loud music B) small, adjacent to main, C) family, with little slide, and D) the wonderfully peaceful adult pool next to the bird sanctuary/estuary , - no hot tub - food: always fresh fruit available at the buffet, breakfast pretty good with a fresh omelet cook & fresh fruit smoothies @ the buffet bar. The buffet dinner however was somewhat like my microwaved leftovers at home. You never went hungry though because it was good enough. There was a menu restaurant by the beach, open a few days a week, that had tastier foods (& soft vanilla ice cream). - rooms: clean with comfy beds. main floor rooms all had a hammock & 2 chairs, 2nd floor had 2 loungers & 2 chairs/table, good size balcony, open on side with neighbour like main floor, & a secluded 3rd floor balcony ( never saw the size). We really recommend rooms in blocks 1 or 2 over looking the adult pool & estuary for peace & privacy for older folks. - beach: okay to walk on but never swim in. The sand was rough on you feet soles. You can walk for hours in either direction -Spectacular sunrises. -Turtles: research area in front of the hotel. In the autumn, the big turtles come ashore at night to lay about 100 eggs, sometimes 15 turtles come at night. Early in the morning researchers dig up the eggs & rebury them in the research area in front of the hotel to hatch in safety. Then they dig them up in the afternoon when the nests have hatched & then safely release the babies into the sea each evening in front of this or one of the nearby hotels. They let the guests help dig up the newly hatched baby turtle & then you can watch them release (about 1000 per night in early November ) into the sea. We are not sure which months, if any, have no turtles though. - Downtown square: about a 20 minute walk or hop on a bus for 12 pesos (about 18 pesos per $USD). There is a Thursday Art Walk with some liveliness about the area. We, fortunately had the Art Walk coinciding with Night of the Dead in Nov 2nd, 2018. The Night of the Dead was so interesting with decorated shrines, lots of good skeleton costumes & skeleton entertainment like dancers & costume competitions, & vendors. - horses: stable across from hotel, $40 USD / hour - bird sanctuary/estuary: - very nice walk, access by hotel & a few other spots along the walk to town - Cabo San Lucas: - is about a 45 minute rural bus ride from San Jose del Cabo for 38 pesos ($2 USD) on the Purple & Yellow bus, which you catch up by the commercial center, maybe 1/2 hour walk from hotel or access by frequent city bus. Cabo San Lucas is busy, with many vendors bugging you. You can catch a water taxi to see the famous rocks for really cheap, about 10 - 20 bucks, with vendors continually asking you along the waterfront. -We chose this resort because of a great deal. We had a great time.

Riu Santa Fe: more than amazing

We loved the place it was fabulous this was are 3rd time there this time we brought a friend with us he loved it the whole resort staff where amazing and the sunwing reps where always there for us maybe next time we can bring a few couples with us we have sent a lot of our friends there and they where very satisfied

Barcelo Gran Faro Los Cabos: good resort

good resort if you like small, The rooms are a little dated but clean. Grounds were spotless. They do not allow smoking on the resort which I liked how ever the designated smoking area was at the entrance to the beach and directly under the infinity pool. Every time I needed to use the restroom I had to walk through everyone's smoke, also found ourselves avoiding the infinity pool for that reason, (definitely ended up being a pool for the smokers). The food was good but found them running o [... read more]ut of hot items in the breakfast buffet. I was a little disappointed in the entertainment, most resorts offer a pre dinner piano or some other sort of music where people can dance a little and have a drink before dinner, there was no dancing that I saw the entire week and I love to dance. I really liked the location, we enjoyed walking through San Jose almost daily.

Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: Great Resort

The resort was more than what I expected. Very fancy, clean. Good food, lots of options at any time of the day. The rooms were clean. The view of the beach was nice and you can see it from almost anywhere in the resort for example; lobby, restaurants, room, pools. No complaints. Would go back to the same resort if the price is right.

Royal Solaris: Amazing staff

The hotel is very nice, however it’s the staff and exceptional service that makes it wonderful - the beach and location are also terrific! We returned for the third time this fall and plan to go back in the future! Very good value and nothing lacking

Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: some costly omissions by sunwing.

The grounds are immaculate and kept exceptionally clean. We had a suite with an ocean view and a patio....made us feel welcome every time we walked into our room. The public areas including the pools are 5 star and are maintained all day. Bar service and poolside service was the best we have had in a long time. Our room was kept nice but some days the cleaning service came very late to clean our room...after 5 pm two or three days. After being out all day it was not a treat waiting in the h [... read more]allway for the cleaning service to finish (After 5 ). When we purchased our tickets we were told we would get a voucher book with 440.usd worth of coupons to be used for various things at the hotel including excursions and spas etc. When we asked sunwing rep for our voucher book it was like talking to a wall. He knew nothing about it and did not even give is the courtesy of checking with other reps. Before we left for our trip we called tripcentral and asked especially about the coupon book and they told us we would get it when we checked in. Didn't happen. We paid extra for the elite plus category. It was suppose to include priority boarding. It was chaos at the airport when they announced the boarding so the priority boarding we paid for was lost. The elite plus package was a loss and will not buy it again.

Riu Santa Fe: Decent resort

Although the resort is pleasant, clean and plenty of pools to cool off, is a bit boring in the afternoon when everyone is looking for some sort of entertainment. Beside amassing pool parties happening every second day in not much else to do. People over 30,s are mostly intimidated to attend though due to the fact that those parties are design for young people with contemporary music and amassing light shows. Very impressed with room update, although having a room bar doesn't mean much. Replenishing the liquids that matter is not always happen. It didn't happen to me. Overall is a decent resort but I will not consider it in the future.

Holiday Inn Resort Los Cabos: Great Vacation

The grounds were beautiful! Staff was very helpful and friendly. Rooms were a great size but could use a bit of updating. Food was decent, we never left the table hungry. Highly recommend the a la carte. Even though the beach is not swimable, we enjoyed walking along in the sand. Overall great value for the cost!

Very clean and friendly resort, the rooms were very clean and staff was super friendly 👍I loved the pool and the location was perfect. The entertainment was beautiful and for being there for the first time I definitely would go back! Great experience 😎

Riu Santa Fe: Impressive Resort

Pools were exceptional, a very clean and well manicured resort. Most of the staff were friendly and accommodating, and worked very hard. Rooms and balconies were clean, well stocked each day and a very good size. Very fun atmosphere! I loved have internet available in my room! The only things that I would like to see improved upon are real juices replace the syrup and concentrates that are used, more premium drinks and beer, including Sambuca and Fireball to the list of spirits served.

Krystal Grand Los Cabos: Interesting Stay

October 4th to 9th We are seasoned travelers, Upon arrival we were asked to sit down for the resorts amenities,this was nothing but a time share pitch. Avoid at all costs !, We said we were tired and just wanted to go to our room,the lady was visibly annoyed. One morning at breakfast the ceiling fell down in the buffet,what a scare thankfully no injuries. We stayed in the garden view swim out suite ,bed was comfortable. Grand Decameron Los Cabos: Friendly Staff

Good value for the money. Nice pools, but water was a bit too warm. Beach was beautiful, but not swimmable. Preferred the buffet to the alacarte restaurant. Food quality was inconsistent in the alacarte. We had a room on the east wing of the hotel. LOTS of stairs and walking to get to different parts of the resort, even though it is a small resort. If you have any mobility challenges at all, you will need to request a room on the ground floor on the west side of the building. Our travel companio [... read more]ns moved because one of them found the stairs and long hallways too challenging. Once moved, it was quite manageable for them. Loved the friendly and helpful staff. Bus service to Jose de Cabo was quick and easy. All in all, we had a very pleasant vacation staying at the Decameron.

Posada Real Los Cabos: Fantastic hotel very Mexican

This was one of the best resorts we've stayed the reason we enjoyed it so much was it's Mexican charm and amazing staff ..weve stayed in Cancun in larger all inclusive resorts and although maybe you had more food choices...staff were always unhappy and you needed a golf cart to go from place to place in these bigger concrete resorts....everything was easy walking from your room which had a beauty view of the beach to the buffet and lobby ..food was authentic and yummy and each night they had a d [... read more]ifferent theme night prime rib night to Italian...the cook always welcoming and smiling..i really can't say enough positive things about hotel and the staff ...loved it all Thanks Posadareal !!

Hyatt Place Los Cabos: Amazing Service and Hospitality

This hotel is very clean, good AC, a great breakfast buffet and has a good size pool. We like the location as it is near many good restaurants, a children public park, two huge supermarkets and public transportation as the 5 minute beach nearby is not swimmable; big waves for surfing. We enjoy using public transportation (coach bus with AC) to go to Cabo San Lucas and public beaches (swimmable and snorkling) as well as the other bus (old, hot and sometimes smelly) to go to San Jose del Cabo to  [... read more]have dinner because this old city is authentic and very charming. The best part of this place is the courtesy and amazing service from the staff. I'd like to mention the professionalism & enthousiasm of Jesus Celso and Diana. They took time to answer our questions and allowed us to learn a few simple sentences in Spanish. These two employees were certainly the best and beyond our expectations!

Secrets Puerto Los Cabos Golf & Spa Resort: Very nice resort!

Secrets Puerto Los Cabos was a beautiful clean resort! The maids cleaned every day and turned down the beds in the evenings. Room was a surprise as we had a partial ocean view which was not expected as we did not book an ocean view room so that was very nice! You do not have to book the al la carte restaurants but I suggest you go early because we did have a bit of a hard time finding seating room between 6:00pm to 8:00pm by this time most restaurants were completely booked up! All the food was  [... read more]cooked very well and was to our liking. My husband ordered the octopus from Oceans restaurant and he didn't like it but I think its just preference. You can walk to the beach but you cannot swim in the ocean near the hotel as the water is way way to rough, we were advised by the front desk not to go into the ocean and they were definitely right! The pool area was very clean as well and all drinks from the bar are served in plastic fancy glasses which is really nice so you don't have to worry about stepping on any broken glass around the pool. The towels were readily available even during the day if you felt like throwing in a wet towel into the bin you could and just go grab a fresh dry one no problem. Like at every resort you have people saving seats when they shouldn't be and they leave their towels on the pool chairs and don't show up till 4:00 in the afternoon so we did have a bit of a hard time finding seats as there were 6 of us that were vacationing together! Never had a problem with any of the staff they were all very helpful and willing to please everyone! The waiters and waitresses were very thankful when you tipped them but it wasn't expected but at the same time you were better waited on when you gave a tip! There were lots of activities like poker games, wine and tequila tastings, pellet shooting, archery and painting to keep people busy if they were looking for something else to do other than laze around the pool and drink all day. All and all I would give this trip an 8 out of 10 everything was well organized and I would put this resort among my top 5 that I have visited over the past 20 years! Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos: Awesome resort.

The resort was perfect. Very clean. The hotel staff were some of the friendliest people we have met. They were very polite, professional and accommodating. The food was excellent and the waiting staff were very attentive. There are three pools to choose from, the common very large pool, the children's pool and the adult pool. Drinks and food were served at your lounge chairs. Room service was also included and available 24 hours. Riu Santa Fe: Large, clean, family friendly resort, amazing location!

We had a wonderful time travelling with two small kids. The staff were very helpful and responsive, and the food was very good (stick with the tacos). The resort is big enough that you can be near the drunken party action if that is your thing, or avoid it and be in a relatively quiet room. The beach is not swimmable because of a strong undertow.
