Riu Vallarta: A great place to stay

This resort has everything you need. The food is amazing, service could not be better, housekeeping, you need it phone to main desk and you will have it. There are many things to do as the entertainment always is doing something to entertain. The bars, I feel could be a little better as there are only two open during the day. I think the other two could open to serve their guest at better times. They will try very, very hard to make sure to accommodate you. Now on the downside, if you ar [... read more]e elderly and like quiet then this is not for you. We are OLD and the noise gets very intense during the entire day. An all inclusive adult only, would suit one better. We would never go back there only because of that reason. A huge shout out to Edgar Meja (public relations) he goes above and beyond. Another shout out is to Richard Velar captain at the steak house. They are the worlds best.

Crown Paradise Golden: HELPFUL STAFF AND ALWAYS WITH A SMILE!

When we first arrived at the Crown Paradise Golden, we were a little disappointed. Our oceanfront room was in an older complex of the hotel. Although the view was great, the room itself wasn't what we expected. It was tired, the air conditioning wasn't working properly, and the tv was very snowy, also there were only 2 English stations, CNN and a movie station, that played the worst films ever! The following morning, my husband went to take a shower and the water was cold. He immediately we [... read more]nt to complain to the manager, Roman. Roman was fantastic! He showed us 2 modern rooms in a newer building and said we had our pick. These rooms were ocean view, not oceanfront, but we were very pleased with the room and we didn't plan on spending our day on our balcony anyway, so it wasn't a big deal for us. Roman also made restaurant reservations for us in each of the 6 restaurants at the resort. We still only had 2 tv stations, but the picture was clear and, most importantly, we had a huge shower with hot water. A couple of the restaurants were mediocre, but a couple of them were very good. Our favourites were Paradise resto (Mediterranean), and the French resto Sans Soucy. The Mexican and Japanese restos were pretty good but we didn't try the Italian Piazzo resto so we can't say anything about that one. Our first evening we had dinner at Salvador's resto, which was very bright, like someone's kitchen, and the steak we ordered was terrible. I left most of food on the plate and we never returned. I'm sure if you order chicken or fish it may be ok, but we were not impressed with this restaurant. Breakfast was always good at the buffet restaurant, lots of variety and fresh food, and the staff were great, always with a smile and continuously taking care of the guests. Francisco was my favourite at the buffet restaurant. He was a hard worker, always smiling and always there if you needed anything! He was great! The beach is long but a little hilly, so not the greatest if you like to take long walks on the beach. Some of the areas had quite big waves, but other parts were a little more calm. Most days at the beach were sunny and 30/31 degrees celcius, so it was very hot and humid. There are lots of vendors on the beach, but as soon as you say "no gracias", they move along and don't pressure. We all have to make a living and this is their way of supporting their families, so I really didn't mind this at all. As a matter of fact, we made friends with a few of them and they'd pass by everyday just to say hello and we always had a laugh with them. On a final note, I have to say I love the Mexican people in Puerto Vallarta! Most are warm, friendly and very helpful! There are so many beautiful places to visit in this world, but I would return to Puerto Vallarta some day! Flamingo Vallarta: FLAMINGO VALLARTA MARINA

A little gem. Although the restaurant only has a buffet, taste and quality was great. Location in the Marina area also offers pubs and restaurants for variety. The Thursday night travelling market throughout the Marina (2km or more of vendors) offers a great selection of items which are unique to the standard items found in the Malecón markets.

Riu Flamingos: great resort

This is my third stay at Riu Jalisco and it remains consistently good. I do think the rooms are starting to show their age a bit and would benefit from some updating. A la carte restaurants are not truly a la carte but rather a hybrid between buffet and a la carte. Pool areas are great. Beach is great.

Occidental Nuevo Vallarta: Very Good Resort

Firstly, This was my wife and my selfs 29th time to PV and have been to about 15 different all inclusives there, as well as about 10 other carribean destination all inclusives. We were there 2 weeks ,Dec 6 to 20th. Not a very busy time in my opinion ( just before the xmas rush) Things were just starting to get busier when we left. Great Resort if your not a terribly picky person! Buffets were very good ( as good as a buffet can be at an all inclusive ). . Rooms all getting a little rough around [... read more] the edges. Very disappointed in the fact that most rooms dont have balconies and that the rooms are a little small, but on the plus side it forced us to get up and get out of the room early and enjoy the day more. Also allowed us to get a lounger by being out early(7-8am) if it wasnt for that your wandering around aimlessly looking for a place to sit down. I complained to the concierge and she said it has always been a problem!! I told her that there is two very simple solutions... 1. GET MORE CHAIRS! There is plenty of room on the pool deck and beach to place more chairs. I cant imagine the situation in high season! 2. - enforce their own rules for not saving the chairs for so long. I saw no staff ever take a towel off a chair even after chairs sitting all day ( 8hrs) with no one using them and other people with no place to sit. The buffet in the morning was a little slow getting a server to bring you coffee or water but not a huge deal. Coffee station in the lobby was a huge plus for us! Those were my only complaints. Everything else was great! Great service. The bartenders are very friendly and quick to get you a drink. At every bar! Servers are very attentive , especially being there 2 weeks, they would bring us our "usual " without even asking. Canned beer everywhere and not draft was a huge bonus , and surprise , for me. Doesnt matter how good the draft is when its served in those detergent smelling plastic cups. Also bottled water was always available every where. My wife only drinks champagne and red wine and both were very pleasing to her and she is kind of fussy! But the highlight of our stay was the Italian A la carte restaurant. Amazing meals!!!! Our server Juan was probably the best waiter we have ever had at any restaurant in our lives!! We were fortunate enough to get in 3 times and each meal was better than the last. Cant say enough good things. I would definitely recommend this resort.

Riu Flamingos: Good resort

Garden and beach location is nice.Had a good time on beach. Foam party in pool was amazing so much fun.Nightly entertainment was really good. Variety of entertainment program.Al carte needs improvement. It is not Al carte it is buffet style. Same menu each day .Really disappointed.

Flamingo Vallarta: Average

Rooms need maintenance! Chamber maid wasn’t the best.We went in after she was done. We were greeted by a clump of hair(not mine) also in the bathroom wasn’t clean.I would check in on your chambermaids.I have worked in this field. Keep them on their toes. The kitchen staff plus bar staff. They were amazing! It made our visit memorable.

Armony Marival Resort and Spa Punta de Mita: One of the best resorts I've been to

We have been travelling to Puerto Vallarta for over ten years, and this is one of the top resorts we have stayed at. While check in and the room is a bit underwhelming, the rest of our stay was amazing. Food was great overall, most staff were very friendly and helpful and the wellness activities were unique and worthwhile. The resort has a beautiful beach and several pools with plenty of deck space to enjoy the sunrise and sunset.

Dreams Vallarta Bay Resort and Spa: Small Pool

Actually were upgraded to the Secrets side which is the adult side and in the shade all day the swim up rooms. The pool areas were quite small for a resort of this size and were crowded. No shuttle back to the airport was provided.

Canto Del Sol: LH_,DE

We were very pleased with everything st Canta Del Sol. Was everything perfect no, but food was great, a la Cartes. awesome pools great, sun was nice and warm, staff awesome, food places open at night, bar service on beach and by pool. There was entertainment nightly. No complaints as some hotels closed at 6 no food no bar

Krystal Grand Puerto Vallarta: Great Resort

We stayed at The Krystal Vallarta Hacienda from Dec 3-10th 2023. It is one of the best resorts we have stayed . The rooms are spectacular , well maintained and totally updated. The staff is all really hard working and very friendly. The food was really good , with a great variety,from sushi to steak .The breakfast bar was amazing with omelettes, fruit, pastries, and a variety of breakfast and mexican foods. Decameron La Marina: Just lovely

Really sweet staff, wonderful Mexican family oriented beach,,, lots of happy children , moms and dads. The food was fresh and tasty! Not noisy after 10:00 pm,,, the rooms were clean and comfy… the view breathtaking:)

Decameron Los Cocos Guayabitos Ramada: Great resort

I have been going here for 10 years I absolutely love this place the staff is amazing a lot have become friends…I know it’s an old resort but was always kept spotless these past few years it has really gone downhill …I wish they would address these issues as you have a great staff ….it makes it hard for them when upper management doesn’t seem to care .. the rooms in building 1 could use some upgrades the curtains didn’t even cover the window and had big holes in it ….the shower heads haven’t bee [... read more]n replaced in 30 years I’m sure. All small things to do but nobody’s bothered….even these few small things would make a difference

Friendly Fun Vallarta: Nice resort

We really like this resort. Food is good with excellent selection and quality. Rooms are spacious and clean. Beds are typically hard Mexican quality. Tennis court is in good shape with afternoon shade.

Riu Flamingos: Very nice resort

Hotel is very clean and beautiful. The service is excellent. Plenty of food and it is taste. We had nice room and ocean view. Entertainment and shows are great. The only downside for people who wants to swim in the ocean is , sometime, appearance of crocodile in the area. We lost two days waiting permission from authorities to swim in the ocean.

Iberostar Selection Playa Mita: Unfortunate experience

Experienced cash and jewelry theft from my room. Only received mediocre lip service in regards to the "investigation". Quite disappointing as the resort was clean and beautiful and the food was great. Hoped for a better outcome.

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Average resort a little old

Grounds kept nice short of help though room kept nice wifi was terrible only get in two places not in your room.trying to book a reservation is almost impossible two couples went down but couldn’t book for more than two dumb

Fiesta Americana Riviera Nayarit: Disappointed

I don't normally write reviews because everyone has different expectations and experiences. I do read the reviews but try to weigh the good with the bad and hope for the best. So here goes, our experience was very underwhelming. The pluses were, the pools, grounds, the beach and most of the staff. The biggest disappointment was the food. I have been to 8 other all inclusive resorts in Mexico and can say this was honestly the absolute worst for food. I know we can't expect the same quality as w [... read more]e would at home but really, this was bad! The resort is generally in need of a good spruce-up. Stupid little things like, the closest doors wouldn't stay closed and we had to put a shoe in front of them. We couldn't get hot water in the bathtub after 10:00 PM, it also leaked and ran under the bed. The sink taps barely ran enough flow to wash your hands. Chairs at the buffet were missing slats on their backs, tables had napkins under the legs to keep them level. Lights down by the pools had broken glass surrounds. Some of the loungers down by the beach were broken. I think the staff for the most part does a good job with what they have to work with. But this is not a 4.5 or 4 star resort. I'm sure it was in it's day but now, no. As far as the Trip Central experience goes that was good. The only mix-up we had was with the airport transfers. I wasn't looking for WestJet vacation transfers (thinking it was Trip Central). No big deal we got it figured out and had no real issues getting to and from the hotel.

Riu Flamingos: Very Lovely Stay

Overall, this was a great place to stay on vacation! The food was very good, and the staff was (overall) very friendly. Our only negative experience with the staff was on our first full day on the resort, we had a bird poop on one of our towels and when we asked for a clean one, we got a flat out "no" from the girl working at the towel bar. We explained that a bird literally just pooped on it and she was adamant "one towel per day" and we could exchange it tomorrow. My husband explained it wa [... read more]sn't usable and after some eye-rolling and grumbling, she handed a new towel. I understand some people may overuse the towel exchange, but this felt legitimate for a towel exchange and the attitude dampened our moods. Other than that, the staff was phenomenal. Jackie and Maya at the Italian restaurant were FANTASTIC and an absolute joy. The only room complaint was that our shower water was lukewarm. The resort is well-kept and very clean. The staff are very friendly, and the beach view is outstanding. Sunsets are well worth the wait. Also, the coffee at the sports bar was a lovely surprise.
