Sol Turquesa Beach: enjoyable resort

Very big resort, if you enjoy walking this is perfect. I personnally enjoyed it very much there are a lot of flowers and beautiful trees to enjoy during the walk. the beach is not the most beautiful for Cuba. the food was very good, although repetitive.

Sol Turquesa Beach: Very good resort

The hotel is good, everything is working, the beach was not clean with hundreds of small plastic bags. Lots of nature around. This hotel is good for people who likes walking as the distance between cottages and beach can be sizeable.

Grand Memories Varadero: Very good resort

The rooms and grounds were perfect but the buffet had a few problems although the food was good. For example, no bowls for the soup or ice cream. Most of the problems were little ones that could have been easily fixed but enough to make a 5 star into a 4 star. But for what we paid, it was a great value.

Riu Caribe Cancun: Very satisfied with the resort

Riu resorts have a good standard and would recommend. The room, food, service, beach was all great. I had to wait much to long to be transported to the hotel because we had to wait for another not organizes couple

Riu Bambu: Very friendly,helpful people always happy

The grounds were well kept. Rooms were a good size. Maid was excellent . Entertainment staff were amazing. Resort was always looked after with nice little touches. Fresh flowers throughout.Bathrooms kept clean and stocked.

Riu Palace Paradise Island: Amazing!

Awesome resort! Great vacation! Steps away from the nightlife at Atlantis. Loved the food and everyone was so friendly and helpful!! We go once a year. We love it so much! Must leave the resort for a conch salad!! To die for!

Sol Turquesa Beach: Home away from home

The grounds were nice. Nice landscaping and beautiful gardens. The lobby was nice but I would add ceiling fans, it was very hot. The only disappointment I had was the public washrooms. More then a few times I had no toilet paper, or the toilets were out of order and just unclean. There were a lot of stairs. It wasn't a problem for our group. The weather was incredible, especially since we were told it was the end of their rainy season. The ocean was wonderful. Clear blue water, soft sand and lots of chairs. No need to park your towels early in the morning. The excursions offered by Sunwing were amazing. There was a lot to choose from. The guys did the deep sea fishing, they didn't catch anything but they had a good time, the best was the catamaran and dolphin cruise. I would recommend this to anyone! A fabulous experience. The lobster dinner and snorkling were also amazing. The farewell tour was a great cultural experience. Our rep was great and we enjoyed seeing real Cuba life. The Cuban lunch was the best we had all week and the shopping for all those last minute surveniours was great. Back to the resort... the best... THE STAFF! They are the happiest people ever who truly do their best to make you happy! Michael the activities director was always smiling and trying to get everyone involved, some of the activities had as in tears laughing! When we booked our A La Carte dinners we had a hard time getting the choices we wanted. One evening while at the Romantico, we were celebrating a friends birthday, This one woman, Feel terrible I can't remember her name, brought out a cake and the staff sang to us. She took such good care of our group giving us all kisses on the cheeks and saying she would see us the next evening at the grill. We told her we couldn't get a reservation for that night and she said she was going to talk to her boss. She came back and said we could come back the next night anytime we wanted! She was the best! The rooms were spacious and cool. Maids did a good job keeping them clean and plenty of hot water. The food was good...for Cuba. No matter what your taste there was always something to eat. There's always burgers, fries and hotdogs on the beach! Even now that we are back home, we still put sliced cucumbers on our burgers!! A great resort for the value :) Cheers! Debra Schilling

Riu Santa Fe: Great resort

We really enjoyed our stay at the Riu and were impressed with the friendliness of the staff and and the lovely grounds. There was a good selection/variety of different foods and it was nice to eat at the speciality restaurants. The only issues we had were that the beds were really hard and there could have been a better selection of red wine!

Sol Turquesa Beach: excellent for the money......value packed vacation

well I found this to be a very well kept resort,landscapeing was done daily, public washrooms were very well kept,the rooms were very spacious and kept very clean,dineing areas were very romantic......and the food was very good.....the free one hour a day internet came in handy....and the staff were very helpful and courteous...I will be going back asap......feb or mar.....JOHN D S

Grand Memories Varadero: Great time in Cuba!!

The Riu Varadero in Cuba was a really nice resort. Very clean, the grounds were always well kept and the people were absolutely amazing. You could not walk 10 feet without the employees stopping what they were doing in order to say good morning, or good afternoon to you. The entertainment at night was also very good. Not cheesy at all and they really got the audience involved. Loved it and attended every night. As for the food: there was always lots of food and the quality was good. The seafood A La Carte was great, but don't waste your time at the Italian one. (we had to stop at the buffet on our way back). Overall great resort, great entertainment and great people.

Riu Playa Blanca: Great place

excellent, good food, great weather, very hot, clean resort, friendly people, love the short distance with the new airport, nice rooms, the only down fall when my wife and I were there , the swim up pool was under construction and not open. Besides that had a wonderful vacation and we will go back. We are beach people but like going into the pool to cool off only.

Riu Palace Tropical Bay: Great vacation, strongest asset is the staff

Transportation with Sunwing - forget about paying extra for Elite plus status, all you get is the option to board the plane first and a separate desk to check-in and a little more leg room and baggage allowance. Unlike other airlines, you do not get special drinks or meals. Check-in at the hotel: 5/5 - courteous staff, quick, efficient and very helpful. The staff at the main desk were always available to assist Restaurants: 3/5 - you could only chose two sittings 6:30 and 9:00, the first is too  [... read more]early and the last sitting is way too late. The food was excellent in the specialty restaurants, the service was a little slow but well done, the decor in the restaurant was appealing and the staff were very professional. The buffet had ample choices (something for everyone) and the staff were positive and very attentive to their customers' needs. Bars: Great choices, Tangueray gin, baileys, champagne, excellent martinis and a variety of tropical drinks - the staff were very professional and appreciative of any tip they received Beach: no palapas so need to set-up by trees to get some shade, no need to rush in the morning to reserve chairs as there were plenty for everyone. Loved that the aquasize was offered in the am in the ocean but the session was way too long (one hour). Great beach to walk, take time to visit the vendors between the two Riu hotels, they have competitive prices and cool offerings! Pool: no quiet pool, the only pool available was a pool with a swim up bar. Best to use the pool in the morning before it gets cloudy!! Guests settle at the bar in the water and don't move for hours - you figure it out :) Beach vendors and entertainers - love them, they are respectful and never pushy Animation Team - young flamboyant and energetic team, they add a lot to the vacation experience Lobby bar (24 hour) - was closed for renos for most of our stay but by far the best drinks Grounds - well maintained Towel Service - very efficient and pleasant attendants Size and location of hotel - perfect, don't like big resorts and this one was perfect Rooms - very nice, fridge stocked daily, cleaning staff outstanding and decent deck Gym - equipment in good working order, open 24/7

Sol Turquesa Beach: I liked it!

The place was beautiful and well-kept. Very clean spacious rooms. Great friendly service. Food was all right. I am not going to write a dissertation. I liked the place. The beach was kept impeccably clean. The staff all seem genuinely pleased to greet you. The lobby and bar were a great place to hang out on a rainy day.

Riu Palace Paradise Island: Amazing place!

The rooms r cleaning, the stuffs r so friendly, the food r so good! Has the access to public beach, love it! Over all, we loved it! We'll go back again! And we will recommend this hotel to all our friends!

Grand Memories Varadero: Not Riu material, or a Cuban 5 star

This hotel has potential, yet you can tell it is being prepped for sale. There was limited service, they didn't have a lot of hi-end product, and everything had inventory stickers on them. I liked the lay out and beach, the staff were friendly, and the food was Cuba acceptable. It took us 2 days to get beach towels, and one day our placemats said 'Blau hotels' on them....that is just the start of things I could list off, yet am choosing to be nice as I still enjoyed the trip.

Riu Palace Antillas: Aruba Vacation

We are a couple of seniors whom had never been to Aruba, we totally enjoyed our stay from November 24 to December 1,2014, here is our review: Room - we stayed in room 637, the room had not been renovated and I am led to believe that for the time being no rooms are being renovated, the carpeting in the corridors had been replaced, our room was fine, the bed was comfortable, the A/C worked fine and the hot water was plentiful, what more do you need, the room was fine. Snack bar was good Staff - We never met any employees who exhibited anything but being pleasant, Daphne at the lobby bar was exceptionally pleasant. Bars - there was never any waiting for service and the drinks dispensed were exceptional. We only went to the steakhouse restaurant, we went twice, it was exceptional, the Caesar salad was excellent. My only critisms were, the lack of seating space in the lobby/lobby bar area and the nightly entertainment was not very good. Would I go back to this resort, absolutely, have no concerns go and have a great time

Riu Bambu: wonderful time

I want to start by saying this is my second time at the rui bambu an I just love it there it has everything you would want in an al inclusive resort.It has free 45 min of wifi a day exellent al cartes an the pool is right by the ocean so you can have the best of both worlds if you want.The buffet has everything you could ask for pasta pizza steak pork an fish an a huge salad bar it has a self serve drink coffee pop water so there never line ups.If your looking for a real quiet resort the palace  [... read more]is next door.

Riu Palace Jamaica: Great resort

Clean, amazing food, great service, would go back in a heart beat. The staff was super friendly, the food was way better than I ever expected. The fact that you get this resort as well as the amenities at the Riu Montego Bay next door is a great added value.

Riu Guanacaste: Amazing Vacation

The hotel was beautiful and close to the airport. The food there was delicious and drinks were great. The service at the hotel was wonderful and everyone was very friendly. I would definitely go back again!

WE WERE A GROUP OF 8 PEOPLE TRAVELING TOGETHER JOINING ANOTHER 40 FOR A FAMILY WEDDING, WE HAD AN AMAZING TIME. STAFF WAS VERY ACCOMODATING, FOOD WAS GOOD, BEACH AMAZING. ALL OF US WOULD TRAVEL TO THIS RESORT AGAIN
