Jewel Paradise Cove: Jewel Paradise Cove - a little piece of paradise

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. From the moment you arrive at the hotel entrance, the staff are very welcoming and most helpful. Rooms were lovely and well equipped. Our rooms were in a perfect location with all three couples travelling together in rooms adjacent to each other, main level with walk out to the quiet pool. Specialty coffee bar practically outside our door which was perfect for my morning cappuccino visit before breakfast. Food was good with plenty of variety. Grounds [... read more] very well kept. Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall: Well on it's way to a 5 Star Resort

This resort definitely had a bad start, but from first hand experience (Jan 23-31) can tell you that many of the issues people complained about in the first few weeks seemed to have been addressed. The grounds are lovely, staff amazing, best food I've ever had in a resort, pools are great. One more for pool activities and one for more relaxing which was a nice separation. The beach wa [... read more]s defintely not the best beach I've ever seen, however, I am learning this is less of a Hyatt issue and more a Montego Bay problem. Sounds like a lot of the hotels have variations of man made beaches. Wrong side of the island! Althought Montego Bay was extremly close to the Airport, it was very far away from all excursion and off resort activities. At least 2 hours one way for many things.

The Oasis at Sunset: Beautiful Resort

I do not have one single complaint about this resort! The food was amazing, the entertainment was great, very friendly staff and everything was so clean and well kept! My husband and I booked a very last minute trip (2days prior) just to get away for a little bit and it was perfect! The weather wasn't the greatest, however we enjoyed our vacation.

Catalonia Montego Bay: Great times at the Sunspree

Best budget vacation ever.. spent 7 nights from Jan 26-Feb 2, 2015 .. wanted to go to Negril but the price was not right. Could not turn down the deal at the Sunspree. Food was fantastic and always available. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Tipping the bartenders/servers a dollar or two really goes a long way for better service. Lots of room on the beach and plenty of chairs available. The man made island is awesome! Very relaxing environment. The ocean had a lot of seaweed in it and the  [... read more]reef was very close to the shore so if you like swimming in deep ocean water the Sunspree may not be the best place for you. Adults only area at the west end of the resort was always busy but was a good spot to get away from children. The craft market located off the resort near the AO beach provided you with anything you would ever need for your Jamacian vacation. Tonys shop had the best selection and deals, look for him in the bold black ADIDAS hat. Rooms were adequate as we did not spend much time there. Snorkelling is great along the pier and the east/west end of the manmade island.. bring your own snorkel gear as the resort will not provide them if they are under red flag (we had red flag 6 of 7 days, very windy week.) Many different species of all different sizes in waist deep water. The nightly entertainment was actually amazing, they hire outside acts to come in and perform - so you don't have to watch the pool boy dress up like the Phantom of the Opera. I was surprised how good it was as I'm not usually one who enjoys the nightly entertainment. Overall, great vacation at the right price. we booked last minute (6 days in advance)

Couples Sans Souci: Wonderful resort

All amenities provided were great....employes very friendly, always available, accommodation, services, endless amounts of food/ drinks,great entertainment especially the Magicians ..even televised Super Bowl with a party !!

Riu Montego Bay: Amazing Jerk

Great atmosphere, beach water was a bit grimey, Kayaking and watersports were terrific, wish the bed was a king instead of 2 doubles, pillows were very lumpy, Flight was on time, drinks were tasty, entertainment was fun. Food was delicious.

Riu Montego Bay: Nice Hotel, poor weather

Hotel was nice and clean, staff friendly, front desk/excursion people very helpful and knowledgeable. Condition of pool was a little run down, mainly because of the many missing tiles in the pool and on the water recliners. Ongoing painting was also being done, but on a small scale. Food in the Italian restaurant was nothing special, Oriental restaurant a bit better, Steak house terrible! The buffets and Jerk-on-the-Beach were the better ways to eat. The all inclusive drinks were very much water [... read more]ed down, but that did allow you to sip all day long and still walk the resort. Nightly entertainment was varied and on par with the rest of the resort. Beach area was on the smaller side, but still big enough that you didn't feel crowded. This could be also due to the overcast weather for 5 of the 7 days...better to visit Jamaica in February than January. All in all a solid mid-grade hotel, great for a family or people on a budget.

Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: Nice family vacation

The food is good, the resort is nice, but the security was not the best and lighting at night is very poor. The staff was great, helpful and extremely friendly! The on sight entertainment is expensive. 30 $ per person for bananboat, 85$ per person to parasail and a 1 hour training to sailboat at 45$ and only one 1 hour ride per day. The star friends are extremely good at engaging everyone and the nightly entertainment is good. Fire show is the best!!! Must go to the Cigar bar and see Kimone, the [... read more] best and most patient bartender! Ask for her special shot....worth the visit even if you don`t smoke!!! She was our groups favourite staff member by far! I have stayed at 3 star resorts to 5 star resorts and expected more from an Iberostar. The facilities did not live up to their reputation. Had electrical issues in all 3 rooms our group had to charge our electronics and had a lot of locals on beach trying to sell you stuff all the time.

Riu Negril: Great place

The food was fantastic, not bland like cuba. The beaches and country are beautiful! I would recommend this place to everyone. On my birthday, I got a cake and a banner on my door. Mostly older couples at the resort.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Great Vacation!

My husband and I travelled to Jamaica last week. We had an amazing time, very relaxing and enjoyable. The staff were extremely friendly and very hospitable. The grounds were well kept by the terrific staff working on it everyday. The food was very good especially the Jerk Chicken at the Jerk Centre. The a la cartes were fine as well.

Royalton Negril Resort And Spa: Loved Loved Loved it!

Just returned from this wonderful resort where we stayed my husband and I (alone for the first time in over 7 years). First time to Jamaica too. We were more than satisfied. This place exceeded our expectations. We loved our room situated on the Cove where we could hear the ocean less than 50 feet away. The staff is the most amazing staff I have ever had in a resort. Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton: Amazing trip

Thanks tripcentral for this wonderful trip. Amazing hotel, I'd definetly recommend it. Hotel is isolated from the village, and taxi to Montego Bay costs 100$ us, everything is expensive in the hotel (a pack of Marlboro is 20$ canadian) and a bag of chips (medium size) around 10$.

Royalton Negril Resort And Spa: Grand Lido

Hotel is dated which means the restaurants are dated and cruise ship like. All are inside with no dining outside except one very basic restaurant with local food that is in the garden. Rooms nice! Beach excellent! Totally being renovated this year though.. Will be a 5 star then.

Royalton Negril Resort And Spa: Super Fabulous Place!

This hotel was just fabulous! I would go again in a heartbeat! It's not big, so you get personal attention, and quick access to every area. No line ups for anything. Some of the decor is dated, but still lovely and very clean and comfortable. The food was really delicious,with a wide variety. The drinks were just great too! They even had Clamato juice for Bloody Ceasars! How great! The piano bar after dinner was entertaining. The disco was fun! The beach was wonderful and beautiful...white sand, [... read more] turquoise water...The water was so clear, it was incredible. A section on the side of the beach had rocks, just perfect for snorkeling, lots of fish to see. The beach chairs had thick cushions you could use, so it was super comfy. The floating beds for the ocean were so fun! The hot tubs after a day at the beach were just wonderful too. They had such nice personal touches for Canadians... It was great!

Dreams Rose Hall: Amazing family friendly resort!

Had a great experience here with my 1 year old son and mother. Amazing staff, beautiful hotel, beach was nice for 3 of the 4 days we were there. When they have a storm it brings up a lot of seaweed which covers the beach and the first several feet of water, but the staff tries to clear it up as quickly as possible. Awesome pool and nice waterpark. Food was amazing, lots to chose from especially at the buffets! Close to airport. Only complaint was that dinner started at 6pm at the buffet and all  [... read more]a la carts and my son usually eats earlier than that so snacks were a necessity.

Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites: GREAT VACATION!!!! worth every penny

We booked at the iberostar suites but to our pleasant surprise, we were upgraded to the GRAND!!! This by far was the best resort experience. The customer service was amazing... The food was AMAZING...the decor and cleanliness was perfect.....the pools, the beach and the spa were beautiful! I enjoyed everything about iberostar grand rose hall...I will refer it to everyone I know and plan on returning to this luxury life!! Special thanks to the staff and to our amazing butlers Tafari and Donovan!

Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton: Just average

Most important get the imperial club. you do not get reservations without it and the restaurants are good. Buffet was very poor. Food was often cold. The beaches are great if you snorkel but they are small.Check in was very fast and the honeymoon bungalows are beautiful. Staff was very good.

Sandals Dunn's River: Nice resort

Clean, friendly but wasn't fond of food. Friendliest resort ever visited. Rooms are clean but not 5 star and bathrooms very small. Entertainment staff were great. Breakfast was the only meal I found anywhere close to 5 star

Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton: Amazing resort

My husband and I just got back from an amazing week at the GP Lady Hamilton. We were hard pressed to find fault. The staff are are so friendly and want to make your stay as great as possible. If you needed anything, you just had to ask. The food was plentiful and tasty. We liked the steakhouse the best, but did try the Italian, the buffets and the Sports Bar. They are very generious when poring drinks. We did the Catamaran cruise, with snorkeling and a trip to Ricks Cafe. This was a highlight of [... read more] our trip and we would recommend it for sure. Seeing the dolphins was a bonus. We thought that Jamaica was a beautiful island and will definitely visit again in a few years.

Sunset Beach Resort and Spa: The resort is great, the beach a bit dissapointing

Travelled with a party of 8 which included 3 children under 8 and 5 adults. love the property and the water park. Food was good and so were the drinks. People are friendly and very helpful. Downside was the beach as it has too many rocks instead of the sand. The Hotel needs to pay more attention to maintaining the shore as it is hard to walk bare feet. The same applies to the water, there are lots of weeds and rocks in the water.
