Melia Jardines del Rey: We enjoyed our vaccation

Resort is huge, you walk a long distance to beach. Rooms clean. Food and restaurants were very good. Lobby is a nice place to sit and have a drink - you can not see the beach from lobby. Lots of entertainments.

Paradisus Rio De Oro: Amazing

We have been to Cuba 7 times but this was by far the nicest place! The basic room was spacious and well appointed. We loved the pool- it felt like it was actually several pools. The swim up bar was a fun meeting place before dinner. The good was fabulous! It really was gourmet. We did not have one meal that wasn't thoroughly enjoyed. There were several entertainers every night. We really liked that they played American music as well as Cuban. Service was top notch. We had a coffee delivered to o [... read more]ur room at 6:00 with our wake up call and a picnic lunch to take with us since we would miss breakfast. (Ask for this if you have an early flight) We can't wait to return!!!

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Second visit!

Great service, great beach and wonderful location. We decided on this resort once more for the excellent value. The staff is amazing and friendly and we would definitely return once more in the coming years.

Melia Jardines del Rey: Beautiful resort

Overall a great place to stay. The room was clean, bright and spacious. Beautiful beach and pool. The food was mediocre but managed to find some good dishes while staying there for a week. My only complaint would be about some of the male staff harassing the single women with cat calls & propositions for hook ups.

Melia Jardines del Rey: Loved the entertainment and activities

We truly loved the entertainment crew and the pool activities that were offered. My daughter enjoyed the pools and I loved the beach. It was great to always find shelter in a shaded area whether we were at the beach or poolside. The restaurant at the beach was great and served a variety of foods. We enjoyed our stay!

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Beautiful spot

My husband and I had a great stay at this resort. The staff were great and the food was actually decent. The buffet had a great selection of fresh meats and seafood which they grilled while you waited, most nights they had a pasta bar and the desserts and breads were always fresh. The grounds were nice, always clean but require some maintenance in areas. The beach was great, lots of loungers( get there early though), great bar staff and lots of activities to participate in. The resort doesn't ha [... read more]ve a disco but there always seemed to be a nightly activity to keep you entertained. The only thing I actually complained about while there ( which is a silly thing) was the strength of the drinks....way to much alcohol for my liking. According to the bar tenders....alcohol is cheaper than mix!

Dreams Sapphire Resort and Spa: Now Sapphire- True Gem

All top notch. Except exorbitant prices at Pevonia Spa. Great location just far enough away from the touristy Cancun buzz. Staff and energy is perfect for all ages. Beach is fine for sports and very long walks! Enjoyed yoga, kids enjoyed the bike ride, water volleyball, archery and we all enjoyed water aerobics and salsa lessons. Food is excellent. Architecture is a true gem. Oh yeah 24hr. Room service is nice for early morning departures. All inclusive including 24hr. Coffee & sweet shop! Try t [... read more]o fit all this in!

Melia Las Americas: Beautiful Resort

Rooms were incredible! Loved the layout of the resort. Everything was very easy to access and close to the water. Food could have been better but all in all amazing trip! Would definitely recommend !!!

Melia Marina Varadero: Beautiful resirt

Beautiful pools, beach was amazing. Our room was clean and we had a great view of Marina. Staff are friendly food was ok nothing special. The weather was wonderful. We had lots of fun. I would recommend this resort

Paradisus Varadero: Good beach

The grounds were good . People were friendly the grounds were good and the staff was friendly for the most part . The room was bad!!!... No water pressure ; No hot water ; Pullow top on the bed was missing a big chunk ; some light bulbs were missing ... Not enough light ; problems with the electrical plugs ; Internet difficulties ; No hand towels... And the biggest problem was that after complaining to the various people , nobody offered any solution . Watch what you eat!... Melia Cayo Santa Maria: Great resort

Very clean. Great service all around except for the Buffet. Food was very good. No complaints. Very friendly staff. The grounds were always well kept. People had issues with replacing pool/beach towels but we didn't care we could only get them twice

Melia Buenavista: Great Beach

We got off to a bad start with no transportation to the resort from the airport. When we did arrive, we found a beautiful small resort with 3 amazing beaches that presented some of the best snorkelling you could ask for. Our first disappointment occurred when we visited the buffet restaurant. The food was terrible and this was true of the a la carte we dined at that evening. The room was very nice; liked the outdoor shower and the proximity to the beach. The maid service was top notch but there  [... read more]were issues with the door locks and the safe. We found the front desk staff to be unfriendly and the butler assigned to us was surly and not very helpful. On checkout day, our room service breakfast didn't arrive and our bags weren't picked up. We had to take them to the lobby and no one offered to help us when the bus arrived. Over all, most of the staff was very friendly and efficient and we enjoyed our stay with the exception being the food. Some of these things were easy to overlook, but this is a 5 star resort and we paid top dollar expecting a certain level of experience that we've had at other 5 star resorts.

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Definately not a five star!

Our experience was average - not five star. Our room was not clean when we were permitted to check in. The chambermaid mopped the floors but our feet always got dirty just from walking on the floors. I don't think the mop and water had been cleaned. On two days we didn't get any water in our room. One evening they ran out of drinking water at the resort. They resorted to sparkling water which was all they had. One day there was no beer left in our fridge. When we came back to our room at the 5pm [... read more], we had called and requested that they bring a beer, they brought a warm one. The food was below average, but I understand they have limited resources. They do try hard with what they have. The a la cartes were better than the buffet, but marginally. The Spanish white wine was disgusting. The Chilean was decent but hard to get. Even when I asked for Chilean, they served me Spanish. The Buckanero beer was good. The beach was amazing! The drinks were not very good. I only had one Mojito that I would call good. The others were really inconsistent. The beach towels were ragged and soiled. The entertainment at the restaurants was very good and the night shows were very good! On our last day there we had to check out of our room at noon, but our bus didn`t go to the airport until 5:15pm. So we were able to reserve a time to shower at the spa after spending the afternoon at the beach. We had reserved 4pm. They didn`t have availability when we arrived for our shower, so we waited until 4:20 when they sent us to a suite in the building we had been staying in. It was their barrier-free suite which had been used by many people and was dirty. We had to shower with soap and shampoo that had been used by others and there were no towels. My husband tracked down a chambermaid who was able to give us one towel which we shared. Overall our experience was disappointing. I would give the resort a 3.5 star rating.

Melia Peninsula Varadero: Melia peninsula Varadro

Had a great time at this resort. First trip to Cuba and wasn't disappointed. Hotel and staff were great. My room which was right by the pool was plenty of big, clean and a nice view. Food was good, although I don't recommend the Cuban for the a-la-carte. The beach .......beautiful. I would deffently go back to this resort. And if you go to Havana go see Tropicana. Amazing show

Melia Las Antillas: Met All Our Expectations

Lovely small resort on the best beach. It is a little dated, but you can see the efforts to restore. Food was fine, room clean. Will return. Sixth trip to Cuba, rate this as our #2 Resort, Hicacos being #1.

Melia Jardines del Rey: Fantastic TIme!

The hotel was clean and the ground were kept tidy, the staff were super friendly, the drinks were great and the food was great, we loved the grilled meat, salads and pizza!!Walked a lot but that's good!

Paradisus Varadero: A wonderful trip!

Lobby, pool, beach exceptional. Good variety of food/rest. options (altho difficult to book reservation). Entertainment crew & eve shows excellent. Front desk is slow and difficult to get resort info from. Rooms basic. Travelled with teens. Would return.

Melia Las Dunas: Very nice resort

Grounds are kept very clean so was are room. Very pleasant staff. A la Carte dining was very good, buffet could offer more variation. Resort is well kept but will soon be in needs of upgrades. Beach is awesome.

Melia Las Americas: Melia Las Amazing !

Melia Las Americas is a great place to stay! Food is top notch ! Drinks, staff all excellent. If your playing golf in Varadero MLA is the place to stay ......1 minute walk to the pro shop, they'll have your bags on the cart when you get there . Rooms are good, great views ocean or golf course. There is no down side to MLA.

Melia Marina Varadero: Best in Cuba

Well travelled and regulars in Cuba, this is the best in Varadero and the Best value. Try the Level, you cant go wrong!! The marina is beautiful and the staff accommodating and friendly. Price is out, you wont be disappointed
