Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Downhill

Grounds and room were good We. Stayed at the same hotel 2 years ago and they have cut down in all areas., food,staff, bar etc. There were 13 of my family on both trips and they all noticed this hotel has cheapened in every way. Also, the music on the beach was annoying every day. I would like to remain anonymous and not give my email address to anyone PS 11 of 13 of our group had upset stomachs for days.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Enjoyable

Grounds were very clean. We had a penthouse suite and were very happy with it. The snack bar food is limited and very cold. Bar service was good except on the beach. An hour late for the beach bar to open. Trolley service is fantastic. Buffet dinner is repetitive, but always something to chose from. Coffees were endless and delicious. It was an enjoyable holiday, but Couples Jamaica is our fist love.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Beautiful Place

Beautiful Property with many amenities. Staff kept busy keeping the property very clean. The property and shared properties are all very nice. Only negative was the hard beds which were only doubles and the room (ours anyway) while spotless (clean) was showing signs of wear. Food was very good. We were not advised that Punta Cana was one hour difference in time (they are ahead) so we missed the welcome briefing and the representatives for Air Transat Vacations seem never to be found on  [... read more]location during the hours stated. Not even a sign on departure date in the lobby, you have to look in a binder sitting on the counter in the basement of lobby. Took us most of the week to figure out where many things were. Very disappointed in Air Transat Vacations for this reason (they should have some type of welcome brochure with tips in it) but only with respect to local representatives not airline itself, we actually got home early on Christmas Day! Very memorable vacation. Certainly would travel there again if the opportunity arises.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Disappointed with this Bahia

We have stayed at all Bahia properties in the DR and the Sian Ka'an in the Mayan and can't even compare the service we received at the other properties as opposed to the non existent service at the Bahia in Jamaica. We are probably the least picky travellers you could come across and don't sweat the small stuff, however, am I disappointed....yes....did it ruin my holiday.....no....We learned to overlook the lack of attention over the 10 days we were there and just sat back and enjoyed our ti [... read more]me as a family. At the end of the day, the property itself compares well, we had no issues with towels, sun loungers (we are early risers), the food was good (when you could find a plate), the sun was hot and the beer was cold. Would we go back.....no Would I recommend this property....not likely Did we have fun despite the short comings......yes, it's all in what you make it

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Excellent Resort

Bahia Principe Esmeralda is an excellent family resort. Very quiet, clean, access to other resort within Don Pablo complex, very close to the beach and swimpools. The staff is very friendly and always willing to help you. The food is very good with lots of choices to choose.

Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Amazing family style resort

Everything was great, food was incredible, we stayed one week and we tried the Brazilian and Italian restaurantes, but sincerely, you will be amazed of the variety and quality of their buffet food, the beach was clean and had enough umbrellas for everyone, very clean and spacious rooms.

Bahia Principe Explore Legend: Good resort

Hotel grounds, food were good. Hotel more geared towards younger children. Entertainment could of been better instead of always dancing maybe have comedy and get people in audience to interact. Story time should hv a different story every night for 2 week period that way kids have a variety.

The Eurostars Grand Cayacoa: Very lush and well designed

Great food both in taste and options. Superb service in the buffet restaurant. Love the elevator to the beach. I loved the beach volleyball. The bartenders at the beach and pool and lounge were very nice and polite. BUT The bartender from the disco was a pervert and touched guests privates. This is when he was off shift and hung out at the disco. In addition The entire resort heard that one girl was actually raped in the bathroom.

Cayo Levantado Resort: Cayo Levantado is a wonderful island resort

The Luxury Bahia Principe Cayo Levantado is a beautiful island resort. Both the public and private beaches are wonderful, with much more shade options on the resort private beach. For an Xmas week, the temperature averaged 28deg. C... and it rained at least once each day for approx. 1-2 min. of about 10mm, mostly in the evening or overnight... while daytime there was blue sky with fluffy clouds. There are a variety of accommodations which the website doesn't do a good job of giving you vi [... read more]sual or verbal comparisons, nor do they tell you where on the island those various accommodations are. Tripcentral needs to do a better job of finding those specifics out so they can better cater to their clients needs. We asked for a 'superior' room, with 2 beds, with an ocean view, and we had a picture from the website that showed what that was like (or so we thought). The room initially assigned to us when we got to the resort was in the Superior category, inland with no ocean view, and very visually different than the photo online. We complained to the resort management and for an additional reduced price, they upgraded us to a Junior room in a tower... which compared to what we saw originally in the photo. The resort's naming conventions for their rooms is very confusing.... and Tripcentral needs to get that clarified properly. The rooms with 2 double beds was ok for one person sleeping in a bed, but lousy for 2 adult people on one double bed... the mattress sagged in the middle and was uncomfortable. The resort needs to rethink its 2 double bed policy and convert at least one of those beds to a queen size. The meals were great... the buffets had lots of variety, and very tasty! We tried out 3 of the 4 a-la-carte restaurants (french, brazilian and mediteranean) and each was amazing... with excellent service and very scrumptious food. We also tried out room service... the food arrived in a timely basis, hot foods were hot and also very tasty. I'm not a sun-lover so I spent much of my time at the beach pool where the waiters were very attentive and there was a controllable amount of shade and sun. I spent some time on the beach and in the ocean, but the sun is strong.... so I continually sought out shelter. We were appreciative that this was an adults only resort, so no kids to distract us. We all had massages at the beach spa... and the masseuse's hands were great at relaxation... they don't offer deep massage, and that was fine. As an aside, the travel time from the airport by bus, and then by boat to the resort took approx. 2 hours... in each case, we stopped at another Bahia resort on the mainland in Samana to either drop off or pick up other guests. We had good Air Canada Vacations' reps meeting and guiding us at the airport, and again at the resort, so everything went smoothly. We would definitely go back again.

The Eurostars Grand Cayacoa: Disappointing Holiday

We just returned from a one week stay over the Christmas Holiday and I am sorry to say we would not return to this resort. The grounds and hotel were beautiful and the food fantastic. The hotel is located close to the town of Samana, at night the local residences party until 4:30am each night with the music reflecting off the Hotel. Basically our room vibrated all night to the music coming from town. I spoke to the front deck person (Henzi) who basically dismissed me and told me they didn't ha [... read more]ve any other rooms to move us to. I had just watched a bus of tourists leave the hotel for the airport?? I finally had to ask for the manager, and within minutes he accommodated us. I have never been treated in such a manner at an all inclusive resort. We also booked through Sunquest, we never met our rep the entire week. He didn't show up at the airport or the hotel. I finally had to get the Air Canada Rep to find out our pick up arrangements for us back to the airport.

Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: hôtel tres bien

L'hôtel est très bien. Très bien aménagé. Le personnel très serviable et souriant. La niurriture est assez bonne et variée, toutefois elle n'est pas très chaude. La plsge est très bien meme si le sable n'est pas très fin et n'est pas blanc, msis plutôt brun. Les chzmbres sont ordinaires mais très propres. On ne manque jamais de chaises ni de palapa. Je conseil cet hôtel même s' il est situé à au moins une heure et demie de l'aéroport

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Beautiful Resort

Stayed at the Luxury Bahia Príncipe Don Pablo Collection December 2016 to celebrate my birthday. We were warmly greeted by the hotel receptionist and check in was smooth and seamless. Beautiful surprise when we arrived to our room. The housekeeping staff decorated it in honour of my birthday. Our room overlooked the pool with a nice view of the ocean. The grounds are beautifully manicured. The poolside is spotless. Plenty of lounge chairs but you need to arrive early to reserve a spot at the prime locations. The entertainment group worked endlessly to encourage the guests to participate in various poolside activities. The beach is shallow and small. I would have preferred if it was longer for nice walks and more waves. Plenty of food selection at the buffets. Food at times a little too salty for my taste. Would have been nice to have a wider variety of fruits. Would recommend that you book at the a la carte restaurant upon arrival because it is booked up quickly. The nightly entertainment was amazing. We loved that they showcased the local talents. We particularly enjoyed the steel band, synchronized swimming and the talent show by the hotel entertainment staff. Did not leave the hotel to go on any of the excursions. Found it to be expensive and besides there was plenty to do the the resort. The only drawback, lots of mosquitos. The housekeeping staff would open the balcony door when they cleaned thereby allowing the mosquitos in the room. We were bitten several times in the room. The housekeeping staff did spray the room in the evenings upon request. I wished the hotel fogged the premises with mosquitos repellent like they do other hotel chains. Overall very good vacation and would definitely recommend

The Eurostars Grand Cayacoa: Nice resort

Very impressive location, beaches not so great. Good food, little limited variety on breakfast and lunch. Dinners very good. Restaurants (3, by reservation) dinners not so great. 10 min. walk to the city (there is also shuttle bus from resort) and you can see real life on the island.

Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Overall great resort.

Xmas Buffet was a disaster avoid if at all possible. Very frustrating & confusing. Fighting for seats & food. Crazy!!! The staff & service was good. Check-in was great no line ups. Rainy weather but not to worry sun comes out quickly.

Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: grand bahia principe san juan

hotel was clean, grounds well kept, pools cleaned constantly, our room was done nicely everyday, foods were good, breakfast was super everyday, people working were very friendly, our stay here was fantastic, we all {4} will definitely come back.....and price was inexpensive compared to other resorts. beach was nice, hot water in shower everyday too ! our travel agent Nicole was very helpfull too !

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Wouldn't go again!

The room was nice and clean, staff were nice. Didn't like the fact that you had to make reservations everywhere when the restaurants were completely empty. Some restaurants they didn't allow reservations cuz it was "full" when you go to the door and see there were like 2 people dining!!! There was practically no beach! And the little man made beach they had no one would go in it! Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Great Family Vacation (Kids older than 12)

We were very tired when we arrived to the hotel but the staff immediately brought us desserts for the kids and drinks for the adults. We felt very welcomed and relaxed. This resort is very good for families with kids over the age of 12. Our cousins came to the Coba resort (because they had younger kids and there was a water park.) This was the first vacation that really brought the family together and we forgot about all the stress. We never had the time to enjoy a holiday to spend with the kid [... read more]s due to work and time but this vacation was really worth the wait! The food was amazing especially on Christmas Eve (lobster, lobster tails and lot's of seafood.) We also a great time on Christmas because they showed the true meaning of the Christian holiday and had lot's of decorations revealing the birth of Jesus Christ. Thank you for the amazing service, food, cleanliness and etc. Our kids and us (parents) will be coming back to visit, maybe next Christmas!

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Goog and not so good.

This was our first visit at Luxury Bahia Principe Ambar Green. We were always going to other Punta Cana Resort and decide to check something new. The resort is very nice maintained. Many trees and green bushes around. This resort is one of many Bahia Principe resorts, and there is no separation between them which did not make us comfortable. The food was good, but not enough staff, so we have to wait in line before each meal. When we get inside the table was clean but not really ready, missi [... read more]ng forks, napkins, no coffee in the morning, (after asking few times finely get one, which taste bad-so did not try anymore). Rooms are quite big. The balcony door did not lock, and because we stayed in the ground floor we really did not like it. After complaining, they fix it, but it was only close until we open it again, so we gave up. The hairdryer work few second and turn off, and again few second and turn off, so I had to spend long time drying my hair lackey short one. We are not going back to this resort for sure.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Excellent Resort

The service, security, food and overall place is just amazing. May be need to add more vegetarian choices in the food. A Le Carte Indian restaurant would be nice. I liked the pool, transportation to and from airport. Clean beaches and towel service
