Sol Turquesa Beach: Hotel experiance was very good.

A couple of issues. There were no lime at bars for Cuba Libre's or mint for mojito's . Bar tenders had to bring in there own. No potatoes for fries. Since it was low season plenty of room on beach with shade.

Riu Palace Paradise Island: Riu Palace

I traveled to the Riu in the first week on November 2014. I really enjoyed my stay the workers are extremely nice and polite! The nightly entertainment could be improved-not the best for a riu resort. Food was amazing and everything was clean!

Riu Ocho Rios: Wonderful Resort

Hotel adults only section was great, enjoyed the pool as it is much quieter in the adults only pool. Husband had a great time on the beach with snorkeling. Food was good at the Asian and the Steakhouse, average at the buffet .

Riu Tequila: Amazing resort !!!

This is the place that I will recommend to my friends too. We had some problems with the toilet and they fix it right away. The food was excellent , a big selection to choose.Great place ! I will go again!

Sol Turquesa Beach: title is not accurate

I would give it a 3 out of 10, rooms are clean and air conditioner works great. Too many stairs, swim up bar is missing pieces by where the tourist sit and it closed before 6pm each day. They played the same music everyday, the poolside games were the same games each day....bingo...1 session only...no dancing lessons as advertised, no other games as advertised. The disco was empty. Had a huge group of Canadian-Europeans who took over the half empty resort and threw other guests who not known to  [... read more]them in the pool. They had the beach bartender playing their European music on the speakers for everyone at the beach to hear. Shows were odd, more like school plays. Riu Playa Blanca: Great Resort

Over all this was a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The salt water pools were wonderful but was disappointed in the swim up bar pool. The washrooms were far from the pool areas and not convenient.The entertainment was good and the disco was one of the best I have seen in a while. The bartenders were very talented and friendly with some great choices of cocktails and premium mixes without extra charge. It was not a good time of year to enjoy the ocean due to the [... read more] weather but it was beautiful with its volcanic black sand. The food was fantastic! There were so many choices and with the sports bar open 24hrs you always had food to eat. I really enjoyed the coffee and hot doughnuts at the breakfast buffet. Reception was friendly and helpful and Omar the hospitality Director was one of the best I have seen. The stay was fun and relaxing and I would go back again.

Sol Turquesa Beach: Best vacation ever!

On October 14th 2014 I went to the Riu with my husband and 75 guests for our wedding. We got married on the beach and it was the most magical experience of our lives. The staff treated us all like gold

Riu Vallarta: Great vacation and good value for the money

Excellent resort, great value and good access to everything. Clean well ran resort and most accommodating. Staff very friendly (especially Isreal) always pleasant smiling. The staff really value tourists and make they trip worthwhile I would highly recommend this resort in a heartbeat. Great 11 day stay at Riu Vallarta

Riu Palace Aruba: Beautiful resort

The hotel was beautiful, everyone was really nice, the rooms were big and clean. The food was always good and different each day. Beach was gorgeous, the entertainment was always fun and interactive, overall best resort I've travelled too

Riu Playa Blanca: Trip was good

I enjoy the resort but a bit disappointed because the stuff does not speak English and also they cater more for the Spanish speaking guests I find the food very salty Room very spacious and clean but kind musty

We travelled with a fairly large group and a baby under the age of 1. Seeing that it's a brand new resort, the pools are loosing quite a few tiles. My room smelled like mold. Most of the employees do not speak English but we soon realized that Westerners are not their main target market. They cater to the Spanish speaking travellers coming in from surrounding areas, Columbia, Vanuzuela, Costa Rica etc. it made the trip feel authentic. Riu Palace Paradise Island: Great Stay

The staff are extremely friendly and prompt to answer requests and help whenever asked. The food is good, especially at the a la carte restaurants. Rooms are clean and comfortable, and the location is perfect. The beach and water is beautiful and a short walk to quieter beach areas.

Riu Playa Blanca: Great Value New Latin resort

The grounds are new and well maintained. For swimming - 4+ large pools (which includes a fun kids pool + another enclosed play area/splash pool) and the warm waters of the Pacific Ocean. The beach is a mix of light and dark sand - which makes for an interesting walk along the water and easy to find seashells. The Resort is a 10 minute ride from the new airport in RioHato with efficient staff processing so you can start enjoying the resort shortly after landing. The rooms are modern and spacious, with double sink, generous tub/shower and separate toilet area. Most rooms have a good view from the balcony area. Our room had a bit of a new wet concrete smell which will disappear soon once the resort experiences the dry season to fully remove the moisture. The room was clean. The area is still relatively undeveloped, so it has a quieter relaxed feel. Don't count on walking off the resort to mega shopping centers at this time. The resort has two shops - both stocked with essentials at decent prices. The food is varied and excellent (albeit some dishes a bit salty). Staff are attentive. This resort caters to a large percentage of Spanish speaking guests so be prepared that English is the minority and many staff have rudimentary english at this time. Overall I enjoyed this resort - I relaxed, enjoyed the sun, heat and water and came home

Riu Palace Pacifico: Fabulousoooo!!!!

Walking in the resort we knew we had made the right decision!!! It is immaculate clean and beautiful. The rooms are a nice size and the Food is fantastic!! I have been to many Riu Resorts and this one is Top of my list. They can not do enough for you we were treated like Princesses for one whole week (hard to come home after that)lol. The pool and pool bar are fun and if you just want to relax you have the option of the beautiful beach area or one side of the pool. This is the FIRST RESORT I hav [... read more]e been to where the Manager is hands on always walking around interacting and making sure the guest are taken care of (not hiding in the back in some office) and because of this it shows a big difference in the way you are taken care of. We had the best time ever it was our GIRLS yearly vacation away and we all agreed we would go back in a heartbeat !!!! I can not say enough good things about this resort. We went into Puerto Vallarta a couple times and felt very very safe the people always Thanked us for visiting PV and even the security at the Airport Thanked us for visiting..... Riu Ocho Rios: Good Hotel

The hotel was beautiful, the food was great, but, repetitive. Pool side entertainment was bland and inconsistent. The staff members all round were fantastic, couldn't ask for better! The bar's were all in the same area, it would have made more sense to spread them out around the property! Sol Turquesa Beach: We had a great time

The resort was beautiful and most of the staff were fantastic. I have no compliants about the food it was typical buffet selections. Was always able to find something to eat. The hotel was going through renovations which is great as ot shows they want to improve. The first night was disappointing as we go there late and the 24 hour grill was packed with only one bartender and food took a long time. The nightly shows need to be updated but for the most part were ok. The water ballet show was just [... read more] bizarre! As it was low season there didn't seem to be much organized activites as the last time one of ladies I travelled with was there. If you want a relaxing place to stay this is your place if you want to party not so much. I certainly could have done without the locals getting into fights at the pool bar and the loud obnoxious Russians at every turn. They even were kicked off our plane.

Riu Vallarta: Opulent

Everything was absolutely beautiful. It could not have been better. We had a great time at this resort. The food was great and the beach is wonderful. All the staff were responsive to our questions and spoke well in English. All was good but many renovations on at this time. Will be fantastic when the new dining area opens!

Riu Palace Las Americas: Amazing resort

The rooms were spacious the hotel is beautiful, but the staff is really what makes this place! Been here for seven days and they have made this place feel like home! Shout out to fortunado! Viva la Mexico!

Grand Memories Varadero: Great Resort

Having travelled to Cuba a bunch of times this resort has to be the best one I have stayed at so far. Upon arriving we were upgraded to the deluxe section at no extra charge. This resort is kept very clean. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Although tips are appreciated when given they were never asked for at this resort. The food at the buffet and snack bar were very good for Cuban standards as well as the selection of drinks available at all the bars.
