Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana: Beautiful Getaway

This is a beautiful resort, very clean with exceptionally attentive personnel. We were treated like VIP guests the whole time We have only one concern which needs to be mentioned. There are two buildings to this resort. Upon arrival we were nor aware that our rooms where across the road a short ride from the lobby. From this building to the beach is roughly a kilometer. Fortunately my mother and I were able to be relocated to the main complex as it would be impossible for my mother to go bac [... read more]k and forth. My brother however had to stay at the other site. This aside, the food was very good with unlimited access to the a la carte restaurants. I would definitely recommend this resort but insist on a room in the main complex

Ocean El Faro: Ocean el faro

This hotel was beautiful. Staff was amazing and good was delicious. Although it is still not complete you were not aware of the interruption. The landscape was beautiful. The casino was still not opened but the rest of the entertainment was.

Vista Sol Punta Cana: Resort is absolutely beautiful!!

This hotel is gorgeous!! You couldn’t ask for anything more. It is a perfect size, as it is not too large but certainly not small by any means. The pools are clean with ample room for everyone. Beach was STUNNING!! Very clean and tons of chairs for everyone. We were a large group and never had a problem finding space. Good was fantastic, especially the Mexican and Asian a la cartes!! My only complaint (and certainly didn’t hinder our vacation) our check in was a bit upside down unfort [... read more]unately and did not go smoothly but was eventually sorted out... otherwise I truly couldn’t say enough good things about the staff! Bartenders and entertainment were always great!

Riu Republica: RIU Republica

The hotel was very modern and clean. Pools were very nice and the beach very well kept. The restaurant were disappointing. Food was not what you would expect from a 5 star hotel. Most restaurant were buffets and the food was not very good.

Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Great vacation

I have stayed at many Grand Bahia hotels and was not as impressed with this one. Although the grounds were beautiful and the rooms were very nice, the service at the buffet was not great. We would literally sit there some mornings, eat our entire breakfast and yet had not been asked if we wanted coffee. We went down there to celebrate our friend's 30 anniversary and three times in the week, their room was not cleaned and we had to go to the front desk on three occasions to complain about issu [... read more]es. Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Almost a five star

My wife and I just got back from Ambar - stayed February 22 to March 1, 2019. We very much enjoyed our vacation there and really had no major issues come up during our stay. Room - we had room 69205 which faced the back of the Royalton next door...not much of a view and we should have asked for a better room but didn't and so can't complain about that. The room was very spacious and renovated in November. The bathroom area is pretty much open where the shower is so don't expect to greet anybo [... read more]dy if someone is having a shower...no big deal for a couple. Shower is huge and loved the rain showerhead. Toilet is in it's own water closet. Room has a safe..fridge was stocked daily. We found the bed hard and asked for a topper to be put on the mattress..it took all of about 5 minutes from when I asked for it until the maid brought it to our room...that was fast. The topper helped a bit. Too many light switches in the room, it seems there is a switch for every light and there are a lot throughout the room so you have to try several to shut off or turn on the light you want. A/C - the A/C was a bit of a pain..I had to keep the fan on high for it to cool the room...otherwise the temperature would climb. In the middle of the night, the A/C fan would switch to low automatically and so we would wake up being hot so we kept the ceiling fan on....the ceiling fan has one speed - FAST. That was another irritant, not having different speeds available on the ceiling fan. Food - we ate at 5 of the restaurants with Limbo and Mashua Nikkei being our favorites. Portofino and MEAT were also good. The food at El Olivo was not that good. The buffet at Palmyra is very good, we had breakfast there every morning. One irritant was the obligation to make reservations, not being able to eat where and when we wanted...we have stayed at other resorts where reservations are not required and that is so much easier and simple for the guests. Staff - most are friendly and happy to help although we did have a few that were not. Language is sometimes a barrier if you do not speak Spanish (or even French) but we managed in English and French. Thanks to Miguel at the omelette station for his great service and smile everyday!! The staff at Palmyra were especially friendly - Luis, Miguel, Altagracia, Emile and the greeters too! Maura at the beach buffet was also friendly as well as Jeffry serving drinks on the beach. There were others but those are the names that I noticed. Booze - drinks were good and we often asked for doubles to help things along ...no Crown Royal so that was a bit of a downer...we had drinks at the lobby bar before supper every night and enjoyed that spot. They have caesars (not bloody Marys) which was a treat and they were pretty good too. Beach - the beach here is beautiful and seems to stretch forever. The Ambar has a very clean stretch of beach with workers raking daily. Beach chairs are numerous as well as palapas. Ice cream cart comes in daily close to the beach bar...a cool treat much appreciated!! We stayed at the beach since it's so beautiful and with the breeze was not as hot as the pool area. Gym - I worked out at the gym every morning and it was a pretty nice gym. While it is not huge, it has a good selection of new equipment and weights, treadmills, ellipticals and cycles. There is a yoga room with daily classes. Spa - we enjoyed a couples massage one morning, with a hot tub in our massage room first then the massage which was great. After I used the sauna then the cool pool and finally relaxed on a water bed. Hadn't used a water bed in years but that was a nice touch. No separate men's or women's section in the spa except the change rooms. The whole Bahia Principe is huge with the different resorts spread out throughout. The grounds are beautiful and well kept, great landscaping with workers all over the place cleaning, pruning, fixing, etc. If I could give the Ambar a 4.5 I would but that is not an option and it's not quite a 5 for me for the irritants mentionned above..nothing major but a few tweeks could be done. Thanks to everyone at Ambar for a wonderful vacation.

Ocean Blue and Sand: Would DEFINITELY return to this resort!!

We just got back from this resort and have nothing but great things to say! The grounds were beautiful and always clean, friendly helpful staff, never had to wait for ANYTHING, food was awesome, rooms were great and cleaned and stocked everyday. We never had a problem finding a place to lay Oceanside or poolside. The party pool was great for entertainment through the day and the quiet pool was very relaxed. The night shows were entertaining and got the audience involved whir is always fun. They had a great live classic rock cover band one night and a lobby dance party another night. It was a tonne of fun. I unfortunately had to visit the medic on site who was amazing and helpful and kind. He made sure i got to the local hospital safely and was taken well care of. Overall, I would absolutely return here and recommend anyone to go here as well.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Amazing resort !

Wow is all I can really say. It was beautiful with a great location. Staff amazing, pools amazing, beach amazing. Very clean resort. Whenever we had an issue (self inflicted) they came right away! I would recommend this resort to anyone! Amazing for families , couples or group of friends. Things for all ages to do.

Secrets Royal Beach: AmaZing staff, clean resort, beautiful

The hotel itself was very clean, high end and modern rooms. The staff in my opinion was beyond amazing. Best customer service ever! Starting with Rudy (tamarindo), Juana (housekeeping) and Jorge (Buffet). These people gives the word “Customer Service” a new definition. Amazing people. The hotel invests so much in cleaning the pools, rooms, garden etc. The food is amazing, my wife and I didn’t get sick. It was quality food.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Large but Fabulous Resort with lots of action

Overall a great resort and I will return and recommend this resort to anyone who listens to me. We (my girlfriend and I) stayed at Grand Bahia Principe Punta Cana for 7 days starting Feb 23rd 2019. In short... we had a great time and we definitely will return to this resort. Positives - location was great and only 35 minutes from the airport ; beaches were beautiful and no seaweed on beaches; climate was 28 degrees Celsius everyday with a breeze off the water; drinks were flowing; food [... read more] was good and specialty restaurants were even better ... especially the steak place "On the Grill" ; pools were busy with lots of action and fun; entertainment was good; golf cart service to take you around this large resort if you don't want to walk; grounds were picturesque and immaculate; many ammenities such as gift shops, stores, gym, disco, casino, etc; felt like you were living in a tiny village; several public squares to sit and enjoy drinks/coffee/entertainment; just a great place to spend a vacation. Negatives - had to wait for a room at check in time ... waited approx 1.5 hrs ...they did a poor job communicating with us while we were waiting ...don't know the reason why we waited ... they did not give us options to go get a drink or enjoy the facility while we waited for our room. I think we had some mosquitos in our room ... my legs got bit quite a bit. Other than these small issues ... I can't say enough good things about this resort ... if you want to stay at a very busy resort with lots of people and tons of action ... this is the place to be !!!!

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Great resort

My wife and I had wonderful vacations in the Aquamarine Bahia principe hotels and resort. Staff is very nice the beach is clean . We have enjoyed every moment there. Food is good and the service is perfect

Dreams Onyx Resort and Spa: Best Resort!

My mother and I loved the Now Onyx Punta Cana. The facilities and the beach were beautiful, the staff were exceptional and so friendly. We both found the food delicious, especially the a la carte restaurants. Very relaxing trip. We would definitely go back to this hotel! 10/10

Impressive Punta Cana: Beautiful resort

Very nice resort. The room was clean. Nice size room and bathroom. Nice balcony. The fridge was stocked daily. The grounds were kept up. Someone always cleaning the walkways and grass areas. The staff were pleasant. Especially the entertainment people. There's always something going on around the pool during the day. Nightly entertainment also. Would go back!!

Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana: nice place

Overall we found this resort very clean and staff was exellent. Food and drinks was great as was the entertaiment. Beach area was clean and not crowded. Didn't like being blindsided by the sales pitch from Unlimited Vacation Club.

Ocean Blue and Sand: Awesome resort

We were impressed by the high quality of the food, best we had ever had while travelling south. The whole resort was clean and impeccable, housekeepers were friendly and efficient. All staff were really pleasant and helpful. The beach was great. We upgraded to "Privilege" and it was worth every penny. The only part we disliked was the pressure tactics by the H10 Sales group; they are to be avoided. We would go back there for sure.

Occidental Caribe: beautiful resort

Overall had a great time. Went with daughter and son-in-law, 2 ladies in sixties, another couple and my other half. The grounds are beautiful and you could walk the beach forever in either direction on white sand. The water was warm but had some big waves. All right if you are comfortable in the water. The food was hit or miss but not bad. Sometimes hard to find something to eat at buffet. The a la cartes need to lay off their salt especially the italian which would have been delicious i [... read more]f not for the saltiness. The teppaniki was great and food delicious. Enjoyed the fish and meat a la carte. Ordered the steak and it was delicious and others ordered shrimp which they enjoyed. The mexican restaurant was only available at lunch but I hear it was good. We upgraded to oceanfront by the kiddy pool which I am glad we did as it was noisy by the bar pool especially in early mornings. The resort is a bit tired needing an update but rooms were clean and once figured out toilet workings all good. For the money not bad but will not be going back.

Catalonia Bavaro Resort: Breathtaking Views

The resort was spacious and nice for morning walks, the beach was beautiful and the view was amazing. The a la carte restaurants were wonderful! Our room was clean and nicely laid out, and the double shower was quite nice! The pool was very large and had a great layout! I have no complaints about this resort and would be happy to return again! We met many people who were all return guests to the hotel.

Grand Memories Punta Cana: Fantastic vacation

Beautiful grounds-well kept. Food was delicious and staff all friendly and helpful. Water Park wonderful and so much fun. Rooms clean. Loved the balcony ! Very impressed with the ability to order room service 24/7 and to be able to do so from the TV. Never disappointed. A La Cart restaurants excellent. Not over crowded . Beach was beautiful-didn't have to fight for chairs or shade. Loved the ability to use the other hotel and have the transportation to the beach, Never had to wait very long [... read more]. Night entertainment excellent for children an adults. Will certainly return.

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Very Clean Resort

Hello, The resort was very clean and food was amazing. The staff were terrific. I was disappointed with regards to the pool closing each day at 6:00 PM and the fact that it was almost impossible to find a beach chair without having to get up each day at 5:30 AM. The sports bar was not able to get Hockey, which for a resort with 99% of the visitors being Canadian should be taken into consideration. The beds were very hard. Although very lovely we will not be returning.

Nickelodeon Hotel Punta Cana: Wonderful family vacation

My husband and our two children (aged 6 months and 2 years) stayed at the Nickelodeon resort from Feb 22/19 - Mar 1/19. I had emailed ahead to request a crib for our room. The crib was not in our room upon arrival but came within 10 minutes. We had a flat swim-up suite, which was amazing due to how often the children napped. We never got to try many of the restaurants because the kids go to bed early. The main buffet was good for breakfast and supper. We often went to the lighthouse for lunch (o [... read more]n the sensatori side). It had a small selection of food and delicious home made icecream! We went to Fresco for lunch some too. The food there was okay. We tried room service a couple of times out of convenience but we were not impressed with the food. The coffee shop Doppio was fantastic! The always had fresh cookies, donuts, fruit, yogurt and delicious cakes!! This is the first resort I’ve been to that had really good deserts. The staff were all very friendly and really tried to make the children happy. The beach has big waves but is stunning! The characters make frequent appearances at Aqua Nick so we didn’t bother with the character breakfast. All in all a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend!!
