Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Great beach!

Great staff, beach and grounds but the rooms are very, very tired. The beds and furniture were very uncomfortable. The food was okay , we certainly never went hungry. We really enjoyed the Italian dinner on the beach.

Hotel Playa Paraiso: Beautiful Beach

The resort was small and not too much going on in lobby for entertainment most of the time, except for the nightly entertainment in the theatre. We did enjoy our long walks on the beach out to the many sandbars and the pool entertainment was awesome. Adia was amazing, always greeting us with a big smile and always remembered everyone's name.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Most beautiful beach I've ever seen

We enjoyed our stay here and more than likely will be back. The beach was the best part of this trip. The food was good and the staff were friendly. We did run into a few problems though. We went as a group of 7, my husband and I, Our two daughter, son-in-law and 2 grandkids (one year old and 3 year old). The first glitch was the suitcase with all of the baby items in it was last, medicine, food, etc.. Thank Goodness she was still breast feeding to smooth him. The stroller was stollen on day 2 of the trip at the beach so that another big issue. The hotel didn't put our rooms together as requested. We were oppposite sides of the hotel. They finally switched our rooms half way through trip. Overall we did enjoy ourselves-just a lot of inconveniences. a lot of the air conditioning wasn't working in some rooms as well as ours. I did. Hear many people complaining about that. My husband and I usually Lay go to smaller places in Cuba and tend to enjoy the, a bit more, but this beach was incredible. Amazing!

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Beautiful resort!

Beach was one of the best ones on this strip. Food was best food I've had in Cuba and staff were by far the friendliest and best service I've ever had a resort anywhere. Tip .. Never saw a towel exchange all week .. Bring your own towel When front desk runs out of pesos exchange with bartenders or staff on beach

Melia Jardines del Rey: We enjoyed our vaccation

Resort is huge, you walk a long distance to beach. Rooms clean. Food and restaurants were very good. Lobby is a nice place to sit and have a drink - you can not see the beach from lobby. Lots of entertainments.

Overall a great place to stay. The room was clean, bright and spacious. Beautiful beach and pool. The food was mediocre but managed to find some good dishes while staying there for a week. My only complaint would be about some of the male staff harassing the single women with cat calls & propositions for hook ups.

Melia Jardines del Rey: Loved the entertainment and activities

We truly loved the entertainment crew and the pool activities that were offered. My daughter enjoyed the pools and I loved the beach. It was great to always find shelter in a shaded area whether we were at the beach or poolside. The restaurant at the beach was great and served a variety of foods. We enjoyed our stay!

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Overall Great Experience

We had a wonderful family vacation. The rooms do need updating, but the food, beach and service surpassed our expectations. The Kids Club needs to be revamped, but there were lots of other activities for the kids to participate in. We would go back!

Hotel Playa Coco: ok

This is my 4th time to Cuba and my 5th time booking with Trip Central. As my departure neared, the reviews for this hotel seemed to be getting worse and worse. I tried to switch hotels the week prior however it was going to cost me another $600. So, with an open mind and very low expectations I went with this hotel. I booked with Air Transit and have no complaints with the flight. Now for the hotel. It is one of the oldest resorts on the island and you can tell. The lobby is quaint but had appro [... read more]ximately 10 tables to sit at. If you didn't get a table, there was no where to sit. There was little to no entertainment in the lobby and not a place where you could mingle and people watch. My room was in the yellow building with an oceanview which was gorgeous if you could look past the rubble from a demolition of an old building. The room appeared clean, however I have bad allergies and for some reason my allergies went into full blown itchy eyes, and congestion each night at bedtime. I asked the front desk for a new pillow thinking maybe this would help but I was told quickly that that was not going to happen. Also, my toilet did work as long as you didn't put toilet paper in the toilet. Yep, even when you went #2, paper went in the garbage! The food...I am not a big eater or a picky one. I have never had a problem with the food in Cuba but unfortunately I had a hard time at this resort. On the second evening there, I went to the buffet and sat by the window where there were tables for 2. I went up to the small buffet, filled my plate with some rice and cucumbers and sat down only to look at the floor around me covered in dead flies. Not a couple, more like 50-100 all along the floors and window sills. Needless to say, I did not eat at the buffet for the rest of the week, therefore no breakfast for me. I ate at the Beer Garden and the beach grill. Had lots of hamburgers, and ham and cheese sandwiches! One of the saddest things for me tho was the staff. After returning from Cuba I am always quick to say how wonderful the staff are at the hotels. I can't say that about this hotel. Most of the staff seemed bothered? I went up to the beach bar once a day, once! and seem to inconvenience them by asking for a drink. I have no problem tipping, but give me a smile or something. I did not feel welcome here and it is another reason why I would not return. To end my review, I will say that the weather and the beach saved my trip. There were always enough chairs and the beach on the left side was quiet and had no rocks. I walked all the way down to the Pestana and to the end of the tip. Took me 3 hours, but I have to say that the Pestana and the Playa Coco have the best beaches. I will never return to this hotel and sadly I was ready to come home.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Less than expected

Just arrived home and happy to be back. The bed were like lying on a board and the pillows were flat, so did not get a lot of sleep. THe food was ok. At the beginning of our stay there were no condiments, so we ate sandwiches and burgers dry. By the end of the week the hotel stocked tomato paste (Ketchup) and mayo.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: All good!

Resort was nice, entertainment was amazing! Al a carte restaurants were fantasic! Bartenders were great! Buffet wasn't horrible. Wish there was a disco on site. Beach is very rocky but didn't ruin it for us

Melia Jardines del Rey: Fantastic TIme!

The hotel was clean and the ground were kept tidy, the staff were super friendly, the drinks were great and the food was great, we loved the grilled meat, salads and pizza!!Walked a lot but that's good!

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Wonderful place, awesome Staff!

Second visit to this beautiful resort. We will be returning. I have traveled many times to Cuba over the years. There is just something special at Memories Flamenco. Can't say enough about the awesome staff from the Diamond club reception area to the beach staff they were all wonderful to us. A special thanks to a very kind repair man that fixed my broken sandal. I enjoy the food selection at this resort the best out of all the resorts that I have been to. Hotel Playa Paraiso: Great resort.

Our stay at this resort a few week ago was amazing... The food was the best we've had in the many years we have been vacationing in Cuba... We people were very nice and attentive to everyone. The entertainment was super and the beach was the best, the only thing to be improved would be the shower in the room.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: beautiful resort customer service from mgmt needs

The grounds were well kept. It was good value for price. Great resort for families with young children. Mgmt not responsive to my needs when I became ill on the last day food was average. Rooms clean boardwalk was in need of maintenance and the area by the entrance to buffet with putrid odor needs attention. Entertainment was Fantastic. Beach is ok once you figure how to avoid rocks not the best resort but certainly not the worst

Sol Cayo Coco: Great Value

The Sol Cayo Coco has so many positives that they out weigh the few small negatives. The most important things, like the beach, the staff or service, the food, the pool and gardens, comfortable rooms are all excellent. The small negatives are things like old furniture, or rough walkways. The hotel is in the best location in cayo coco, with access to 2 beautiful and different beaches. The pool and snack bar area (and outdoor buffet area) are unique because you can be sitting in them and still see [... read more] the ocean. This is unusual for most hotels. The smaller size of the hotel makes many of its features special and unique. If you want a beautiful and more quiet hotel then this one is for you. If you want to party with crowds of people, then you might want to choose a larger resort.

Hotel Camino del Mar: Some changes

This was our third visit to this resort. Serving staff were great. Customer service staff not so much. It took an hour to check in. We all wondered "were they surprised we were here?" Then we went to the snack bar to get something to eat. One staff to serve everyone, and the cook could only cook one sandwich at a time. A sad introduction to the resort, and to Cuba. Other issues were that our terrace door did not lock. The food was a disappointment. Breakfast was good, lunch was OK, but by the time we got to dinner, it was difficult to find something at all appealing. The beach was no longer "raked", which meant it was difficult to walk along the beach. A lot of seaweed. However, it is still Cuba. The sky is blue, the palm trees are beautiful, the ocean is amazing, and the pool is wonderful. The servers were friendly, and helpful. The gardens are lovely.

Sol Cayo Coco: loved it!

It was our 7th time at this resort so we know what to expect. The staff are amazing as usual! They make you feel right at home! There are always a few hiccups: one being the lack of toilet paper in the washrooms but I came prepared! The beaches are great, the food is average but always something for everyone. Would go again in a heartbeat!

Hotel Camino del Mar: Amazing beach!

Third time at this hotel. The beach is stunning, ideal for families with children, the water is shallow and crystal clear, a true paradise .Everything is within walking distance, if you will forget something in your room you do not have to wait for the golf cart to take you there like in other huge resorts. the cooks needs to take classes in safe food handling . saw many time the same utencil was used for the raw meat as the cooked meat chicken was at the grills were served raw buffets need better organization the beach is amazing but bring water shoes
