L hotel ete en condicion tres tres mal...la nurriture..ca ete degolas et en plus la clientèle..tres brouillant..pour prende la nurriture il faudra faire de long file..en resume je le conseille pas..je passe un semaine ..vraiment pas bonne

Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: The best!

First and foremost the staff are amazing and my wife and I have never experienced service from any of our previous vacations anywhere not just Cuba like they do at the Royalton! The main pool is huge and you also have two smaller pools with plenty of seating. The beach is one of the nicest we have ever seen. Crystal clear with hardly any vegetation or rocks and you can walk out far before it gets deep. Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Great Quick Getaway!

The hotel was terrific. It was on a beautiful beach and it was not too large so very easy to get around. The grounds and beach were very clean. Check in was a breeze. Make your dinner reservations as soon as you arrive, limited seating and double check your reservation ticket - we had a mix-up and they could not seat us one night in the a la carte. Rooms were comfortable but dated. The bathrooms need a serious refresh. Very friendly and helpful staff and fun shows nightly. Snack bar was 24 hours but very limited offerings. The beach is the draw.

Blau Varadero: Good resort

Lunch area not good,flies all over the food. Staff great.. Beach wonderful.No Canadian flag even after mentioning almost every day they dont care for Canadians, Excuses they use is well this is Cuba in order to get away with allot of things,in that case hotel is overpriced.

Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Okay, I Guess

First off, let me state that without exception, the staff was amazingly friendly and helpful. But... The resort is showing it's age. There are examples all over -- broken railings, missing eaves, empty 'hot tub', etc. For the most part, things are bing repaired, but I did notice this. I have heard that the resort was hit by a hurricane last year, so I assume that there is an ongoing repair effort underway. The food was... okay. From my point of view, however, when the resort kept with the traditional 'Cuban' food, it was really good -- for instance, the Cuban sandwiches served by the main pool were outstanding. It is when they attempt to provide another ethnic dish -- pasta, or the burgers. I went to Cuba, not Italy, so I'm okay with not getting any Italian food. Lastly, I would like to say that the bed was the most comfortable bed that either my wife or I have ever slept in. Fantastic.

Playa Vista Azul: Clean environment

The environment is quiet,clean and good services.Food at ala Carte specially in Marina is good,and fast service .Bluemoon ala carte is too slow . Buffet is good,lot of choices and very fresh and tasty shrimp. Lobster lunch is the best. Definitely the group will come back in this resort.

Iberostar Origin Bella Vista Varadero: PARADISE

The entire resort was breath taking from the views, to the rooms, the pools and the beach! The nightly entertainment was incredible and food was good! We are already discussing going back! The service was excellent and for the most part, everyone spoke good English!

Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Awesome Time!

Had a fantastic time at the Royalton Hicacos. It was a beautiful resort and the staff were awesome. I was there for a wedding and the hotel did a wonderful job of organizing. The wedding was beautiful and we all had a great time. I would definitely recommend this hotel and I will be back!

Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Happy resort poor communication

Hello, we were very excited to go away for my cousins wedding. I have been to the resort before we loved the resort the people were great. The problem we had was leading up to the trip Lisa couldn’t find my deposit and then I never received an itinerary at all until the Tuesday before the trip when I had to reach out to one of my cousins to get the group booking number to go to the Sunwing website and print it off myself. Thank goodness I’m a frequent traveller and I knew how to do this. I  [... read more]had emailed Lisa on the Tuesday before the trip to ask her where my itinerary was the only reply I got was you’ll get it within one week of the trip. My trip was in four days. Once I left the resort on day 7 we were delayed 14 hours with no communication from anybody from trip central from Sunwing or from the airport. My husband is a Toronto firefighter and he lost 12 hours of work because the flight was delayed without any communication it was very hard for him to describe to his chief why he missed 12 hours when there was no explanation from Sunwing or trip central. I will not book with trip central again.

Hotel was nice Here’s what happened on our departure from the resort I will never fly Sunwing Airlines again !!! 12-15 hour delay to get home from Veradero Cuba ( this Friday July 6th, 2018) Up to 5 delay times No Sunwing Rep to be found No explanations, No NOTHING !!!! Absolutely pathetic & disgusting !!! Left it up to the employees of the airport to deal with us Families with young children , people with medical conditions all stuck in an airport and NO EXPLANATION!!!! The [... read more] entire flight of passengers have come together , writing our names and email addresses down as we are going to bulldoze through as a group and demand FULL REFUNDS !!! Or legal action will be taken !!! This situation was handled poorly and very unethically and unprofessionally !!! These were the delay times 11:15 pm 11:55 pm 2:30 am 3:50 am 10:45 am Our original flight time was to be 10:35 pm They finally decided that they had to put all passengers up in a hotel only bc they had to close the airport so the employees could go home The kiosks had closed so that left us with no food or drinking water or drinks of any kind Bc the employees had left to go home we were left with filthy washrooms with no toilet paper or paper towels They decided to kick us out of the airport at 2 a.m. in the morning to shuttle us to two different hotels, no information on what hotels so we had no idea what rating the hotels would be that they were taking us to We all maybe got 1/2 hr to an hour of sleep That’s it !!! Pick up time from the hotels was 6:45 a.m. Saturday morning They had to send an empty Sunwing plane and flight crew to come get us The crew had no idea of our situation They learned of it once we were in flight The flight attendants were amazing and of course the pilots as well They gave us free meals and drinks including their own lunches Children were served first , than passengers with medical circumstances and the elderly They announced how they learned of this particular situation and went above and beyond to come to our rescue !!! But they still had no true idea what we were put through at the airport Not worth the savings !!!

Starfish Varadero: dissappointing

The resort is ok, but the a/c in all bungalows need to be checked. When we checked in our first day, we were in building 6. Only 1 room was ready so we decided to keep all our bags in that room and go eat. When we entered the room there was a foul smell, and a/c wasn't working properly because the room wasn't really cool. We couldn't increase the temperature since the knob was broken. Anyway we were there for probably just 1/2 day and then decided to change to a bungalow since we couldn't b [... read more]ear the smell. Anyway they gave us the key to a bungalow to go check it out and off-course those were bigger and closer to the beach so we decided to take that. But when we checked in there again the A/C in all do not work properly. One room was really cool, the second was ok and the third was warm. They don't even have fans. We actually stayed in those rooms for 1 night, but on the second day we couldn't take it and had to request a change. They changed 2 rooms, but off course the A/c in one of them was not really good but was bearable. They gave us a deal pay for 2 rooms get 1 free. It sounded good at the time but not sure if it was actually good since they charged us in US dollars, we only found that out after we got back to Canada. It was $50 for 3 people per day for 7 days. Anyway besides the incident with our rooms the resort is pretty good but I wouldn't really recommend it to anyone since they are many resorts where you would pay less and receive much more. People are pleasant, especially everyone at the Cabana snack bar, near the pool. They were amazing. Most days we enjoyed just having a snack or even lunch out there. I cannot praise them enough, service was exceptional. I don't think I would return to this resort unless they upgrade.

Valentin El Patriarca Varadero: Amazing resort

1- Telephone did not work for a week I was there they said due to Storm, but I am handicap and how to call the bell boy to drive me , non of the places except the front desk. 1- Tons of MOSQUITOS did not spay by the lobby 1- Buffet lots of COCKROACHES on the chairs and VERY VERY HOT no AC or Fans 1- BESIDES THE RESORT IS AMAZING AND ALSO THE EMPLOYEES WHERE VERY NICE TO US AND ALSO OUR HOUSE KEEPERS WAS AMAZING # 5113

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Varadero: Grand Memories

Resort was huge and physically looks great. Food was above average. Guests were allowed to drink, smoke & eat IN THE POOL was negative aspect. Some guests very loud, rude vulgar language not acceptable. Staff was great except for not enforcing rules around pool area. Entertainment was average.

Memories Jibacoa: Very nice place for vacation

On June 26, we first arrived in Memoris. Friends told us about the reef near which the hotel is located. And we got what we wanted - a great place for snorkelling. In addition, this is a very quiet hotel with clean, well-air-conditioned rooms. Evening shows are very pleasant. The hotel staff is friendly and professional. Another advantage of this place - a close location from Havana, and we had the opportunity to visit an interesting excursion. Buffet is common for Cuba. To reliance, the room without air conditioning. Conclusion - we just returned from an interesting vacation. This hotel we are happy to recommend to all lovers of the Cuban holiday.

Occidental Arenas Blancas: Occidental Arenas Blancas

I've been to Cuba many times - never to Varadero though. No all inclusive is "perfect" - each has its pluses and minuses. Still a good deal through Sunwing - compared to other holiday destinations. Re this hotel - close to town - which we liked - our upgraded ocean view room was nice - big, comfortable bed, great pillows, nice balcony with view etc. One bank of elevators out of commission to get to our floor however, meaning we had a longer wait each time. Common areas - bit run down. Pool was  [... read more]out of commission for part of the week! Beach was fine. However - no place to get a drink on or immediately adjacent to the beach. Food at the hotel was horrible for the most part (there were a few exceptions here and there). Other resorts have had BBQ areas and beach front restaurants that are open all day with fairly decent food - not this place. there was a beach front restaurant - with an absolutely disgusting mystery meat "buffet" served for a couple of hours each day. There was also an "after-hours" eatery - with boiled hotdogs and hamburgers - that made us sick one evening. Other restaurants could only be booked between 2 and 4 pm daily - a weird time! Hotel sponsored entertainment - given the size of the complex - wasn't very good - seen much better at lesser star hotels! No on-site dance club. All in all we'd rate the hotel as average - except for the room. We wouldn't return to this particular hotel. No reflection on the travel agent - he was very pleasant and helpful to deal with and we'd book through him again.

Playa Vista Azul: Amazing Resort

My husband and I visited Ocean Vista Azul. Ocean Vista Azul is a beautiful property on a cliff looking over the ocean. The everyone on the resort are super nice. We met wonderful people and enjoyed our time.The food was not bad as well. It was my first time in Cuba and we will definitely be back!

Hotel Bella Costa: Amazing time!

The hotel is just okay because it is one of the oldest. Renovation won’t certainly hurts but beside this the beach is amazing! The food is average like anywhere else in other resort with 3 to 4 stars, we haven’t expected much. We were just pleased with the beach and the friendly staffs. However, there are a lot of people at lunch and dinner time and people are jumping into foods lack of manners can I say. The cafeteria is mostly overcrowded.

Sol Palmeras: Beautiful Resort!

The hotel is clean, the staff is friendly, the grounds are well maintained and very clean. The room are cleaned very well. The buffet has a wide variety of cold and hot food. The entertainment is great every night! This was our second time at Sol Palmeras and we will go back next year.
