Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Royal service stay

We checked into the Royal Service and we’re not given wristbands as they had run out. This meant that there were several people coming from the other side to eat at the restaurant, swim at the pool and use the beach. It was crowded with quite a few loud and boisterous partiers. Definitely not worth the “Royal Service” -our side of the resort had no warm water and every day we were told “We are working on it.” They said they weren’t able to move us to the non-Royal side (with hot w [... read more]ater!) due to 100% occupancy(there’s no way that resort was fully occupied!) Food was ok for Cuba, wait staff were excellent. No COVID precautions or restrictions were in play. Many restrooms on the resort did not have soap and I didn’t see any hand sanitizer anywhere (except my own supply!)

Iberostar Origin Playa Alameda: Really good, really bad

The food was the best of 8 resorts I've stayed at in Cuba. Nice modern shower. Nice layout of the grounds. There was no hot water. Little bugs in the hotel room. I would stay there again. I don't care for swoop. Had to pay$70 each way for luggage each person.

Hotel Playa Coco: Good value!

Easy access to all amenities, 3 a la carte restaurants, gorgeous beach and friendly helpful staff. Only real downside is the very! loud constant boom boom music played by staff at the main pool, beach and late night shows. Volume down please management. We want to hear the ocean waves not blaring loud music 24/7

Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo: Truly Amazing Resort

Amazing week at this beautiful resort. Fourth time to Cuba but first resort I would actually want to return to. Was in building 9 with an amazing view. No complaints. Food and drinks were plentiful. Yes there were lines everywhere but when traveling during peak season it’s expected. Just like traffic at rush hour. Impressed with the language skills of the staff who all seemed to be fluent in Spanish, English and French. All the entertainment was in the 3 languages. If you’re on the fence about whether to choose this resort, don’t be. You’ll have a great time. Miss it already.

Playa Costa Verde: Great resort!

Extremely well kept grounds, rooms were kept clean but are showing signs of aging. Food ... not fabulous, pretty bland but there was always something to eat. Lots of chairs at the beach, but not at the pool 🤔

Iberostar Selection Holguin: FIRST CLASS RESORT!

Wonderful stay, very large rooms, excellent shuttle service to beach, restaurants, lobbby and to our room. Discovered excellent snorkeling which was NOT advertised. We discovered CORA Adults Only Resort and will experience that next time.

Paradisus Rio De Oro: Excellent resort!

We had a great vacation at Paradisus Rio de Oro. This is our first 5-star, adults-only experience in Cuba and found that this resort is very well managed and taken care of. The gardens, the beach, the pool, our room were beautiful and well kept. The food was great as well (we love Cuban cuisine!), so congrats to the amazing chefs! Grand Aston Cayo Paredon Beach Resort: Nice Resort

Very clean, but its new. It was only perhaps 40% full so some options were closed like the Tapas bar and entertainment was only in hotel lobby and not so good. The beach was cleaned every day but almost seemed man made where the chairs were. There was typical Cuba shortages like no coke all week. No vodka, no gin. No tomato juice. 2 out of 3 pasta dishes at Italian restaurant not available. Buffet well stocked food okay but no flavour almost like they had no spices in Cuba. Memories Trinidad Del Mar: Beautiful hotel!

Classic Cuban building design laid out like a mini-Trinidad! Visually stunning. Beautiful grounds. Gorgeous location. Great beach. Friendly, efficient staff. Yummy food. Good activities - special lunch on the beach on Fridays, volleyball, dance and Spanish lesson, house band...

Melia Buenavista: Quiet tranquil resort

The staff at the resort were lovely. The rooms were fine, we really enjoyed the outdoor shower. Found the food selection was very limited. Looks like it got a little run down during the last few years. We like sunset beach best out of the three different beaches at the resort.

Melia Cayo Coco: great resort

The hotel staff was amazing food was great and small resort allowed us to meet everyone , its like a small family setting I was impressed with activities and shows that Melia put on . thanks for having us

Aston Costa Verde Beach Resort: A touch of summer

We just got home after 2 restful weeks at Aston resort in Holguin the rooms are old and in need of updating but we’re generally clean Staff went out of their was to make sure your needs are all taken care of all our needs. Any issues we had for repairs in the room they immediately were there to help food choices were limited but they always created meals with what they had to serve

Gran Muthu Almirante Beach Resort: Great resort

beautiful resort. Very clean rooms . Nice activities, nice beach but not bery long if you like to walk. Food not great. The cubans people make you feel welcomed. Karaoke jight was rhe best activity. The theater shows were not good

Paradisus Los Cayos: Very new and beautiful resort

The resort is new with modern rooms and amenities. Beautiful beach with white sand and pristine water. Services were great and people very friendly. Entertainment with various shows and live cuban music offered every evening. We had a great time!

Dhawa Cayo Santa Maria: Horrible

It was the worst experience ever. This hotel is filthy and very unsanitary, with no soap to wash hands, no toilet paper, despite asking over and over to supplie some. We are so disgusted. We came home with a horrible stomach virus. The food is so unsanitary, flies all over, they cross contaminate food, they wipe their hands on filty cloths and then touch the food. We will neverever go back to Cuba... we understand it's a poor country but, but then get vinegar or any type of cheap disinfected. [... read more] They just don't care, I am beyond disgusted. We just are getting over a major pandemic, seriously. I don't think we will ever do an all inclusive again...I have so much more to say but really what's the point. The food was horrid.

Vila Gale Cayo Santa Maria: Good time at the resort

Overall staying at this resort was good and Relaxing. Good weather, gorgeous beach (if you enjoy swimming in the ocean this is the place), food was OK, room was clean, staff was OK could be more helpful, entertainments were alright. Downsides: booking the a la carte was painful (waiting for a long time for the staff to show up and then learned most of the restaurants were fully booked. However they tried to squeeze you in for a 9pm reservation. No choice but to accept). Another downside was the  [... read more]food at the buffet was very inconsistent. For example the same soup can be good in one day, the next day it's so salty that you cannot consume. Most of the time the food was salty. They have good bread, butter, some good dishes, yummy yogurt and guava drinks.

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Wonderful resort

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful resort variety of foods was plentiful and the staff were very friendly, overall cleanliness was excellent we used the spa facilities and enjoyed first class massage. Entertainment of an evening was excellent I wouldn’t hesitate to vacation here again

Iberostar Origin Playa Alameda: Great time at the Iberostar Alameda!

Just returned from a 10-day stay at the Iberostar Alameda with a friend and we both travelled using the Solo Air Transat package, having our own rooms. Overall it was a great resort and we had a wonderful time. Accommodations: Nice rooms, we were on the 2nd and 3rd floor which they graciously assigned in #19 which was close to the beach, terrace and restaurants - thank you Wendy! The rooms are spacious, the bed comfortable, working safe and the bathroom was wonderful. Ladies, don't bother [... read more] bringing special hair dryers or flat/curling irons as there is only one plug in the washroom attached to their dryer which will only accommodate an electric shaver. The bedroom does not have any mirrors close to electrical outlets. My lights were out one night and the technicians came by instantly to fix the issue - this was amazing. The rooms need a thorough cleaning but all in all, the room was great. Beach: Beautiful beach and no issue getting chairs underneath a hut umbrella. There are some rocks further in the ocean but not harmful or sharp. Entertainment: Fantastic. Every evening on the terrace there is a band and a show or disco following. This was excellent! Entertainment at the pool during the day as well however, we are beach people. There were activities on the beach as well if you wish to participate. Food: No complaints - the food was great and plentiful. Breakfast had a wide variety, with eggs, omelets, pancakes, yogurt, cereal, fruit, cheese/cold cuts and the pastries were very good. Lunch equally as good and included veggies, salad, rice (of course) fish, porchetta and hamburgers. Dinner at the restaurants served good food, particularly the Italian. Staff: This is the best part - the staff are absolutely fantastic. Everyone made an effort to accommodate us in every way. From bartenders, to entertainment staff, the hotel reception, maids and waitresses who made our stay extra special. Grounds: The grounds are beautiful and the gardeners do a great job of keeping it well maintained. The buildings on the most part look okay however, the stairs in our building were loose and not stable or secured properly to the floor, and the outdoor stairwell walls could use a paint job. This resort has lots of potential and hopefully, it can be restored. Overall: I would return and recommend this hotel and will give it a 4 star because of cleanliness in the rooms and maintenance required. A great trip overall. Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo: Beautiful Resort but lacks staff

We have been to Cuba many many times, however it’s our 1st time post Covid. This is one of the more modern resorts we’ve stayed in … in Cuba. The grounds & scenery are beautiful. The rooms are spacious. We had oceanview rooms and they were very damp. Bedding & clothes felt damp. The beach is great and you can walk for miles. But… there’s a lack of staff, making for huge lineups. Understandably, post Covid, the resort still has shortages with some food items as well as liquors. 24 hour  [... read more]snack bar has only ham & cheese & tuna sandwiches. We pretty much drank rum all week. 4 days in before we saw beer. There is no stocking of the room mini-fridges at all. We were given 1 bottle of water a day. Had water issues in the room that did not get addressed the entire week we were there. I feel that the workers here are being overworked which makes for unhappy employees. Not the pleasant Cuban staff we are used to.

hotel looking a liitle tired. Rooms comfortable but needing updating. lots of outdoor areas to sit but lots of smokers use the common areas. Food in one word was terrible.Plates dirty most of time. Bar selection very limited.Staff overall were pleasant but not overly so. Front desk reception- male worker, sorry didn't get name (no name tags) Not friendly.Left poor impression upon arrival
