JOIA Rose Hall by Iberostar: The best all inclusive ever!

Exceptional service, and outstanding food including the buffet. Clean, tasteful and although a large resort - all three of the hotels were located on the beach so nobody had more than a 5 minute walk to the beach. A short ride from the airport with no planes buzzing overhead. Fitness classes were great and the gym and spa were also amazing. Can't say enough about it, look forward to returning!

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Wonderful time

The resort is clean and lush. The people are attentive and friendly. The food at eh buffet is tasty with good variety... all amazing. I preferred the beach even though it is more pebblier than sandy. Wonderful time and sun!

Sandals Ochi Beach Resort: No Hot Water!!!

Stayed on the beach side of the property between Dec.22-29, 2014. I travel 5-8 times a year and was just in Ochi on Dec.3/14. Room was fine, but by my first morning no hot water, complained by phone, complained by phone later and in person to front desk, still no hot water at bed time. Morning number two, no water at all, phoned and in person again. Water back on, still no hot wTer by late afternoon, finally had a tech come out...that's when I found out that the whole building has no hot water ( [... read more]was in #2055) and hasn't all week. So I was put into a room and put off knowing full well this was an issue all along! Finally had a sit down with a manager, she was skilled at resolving my issue after showing me 3 rooms (two also had no hot water, different buildings...wouldn't take the room w/out trying the taps first). The experience regarding service, quality of food, professionalism was at best mediocre and inconsistent. Things like towels in the gym 2 days out of 7, asking for fridge restocking ignored 4 days out of 7, bathing item restocking requested also mostly ignored, had to tip wait staff to get somewhat consistent service, breakfast items often out of stock, getting coffe/water refills at breakfast was cumbersome, pool towels often out of stock for large portions of the day, list is endless.

Catalonia Montego Bay: Great time!

I went dec 21-28 2014 with my boyfriend and had a great time. We loved the food especially the jerk hut and Italian restaurant. We went for a day trip to negril as well which was only 40$ and well worth the money. The resort is better suited for families but we still had a good time. Spent most time in the adult pool which is very small and shallow and infested with bees. Also, the beach was beautiful but very shallow so I'd recommend going off resort if you want to enjoy the ocean. Those would  [... read more]be my only complaints. Aside from that, service, grounds and food were great. Would go back for sure!

Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites: Remarkable!

Only compliments to give this resort. 1. The food and restaurants were amazing. My personal favourite was the steakhouse for lunch and dinner. 2. The staff were constantly cleaning so the grounds and pools were spotless. 3. The Junior Suite was plenty - huge king bed, spacious washroom, Internet throughout resort. 4. The staff were always friendly. 5. The beach had more than enough tikki huts for all. Some pebbles on the beach, but not in all areas. Amazing itinerary of activities for all if interested - childrens beach party with marshmallow bonfire, water games, dance party, table tennis, volleyball, water exercises... And so on. A very short drive from airport with great organization of shuttle buses and staff who make sure people get the right bus. I will return!!!!

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Wonderful trip

Spent Christmas 2004 there. They made a special evening of it. Great food, beach, activities, etc. clean and spacious rooms. Front desk staff need a little heater, but otherwise everyone was very helpful.

Sandals Ochi Beach Resort: Amazing trip to SGR

Just returned from Sandals Grand Riveria and we had a wonderful trip. Resort plantation is beyond anything we have ever seen on our vacations. Staff goes above and beyond to give you a wonderful stay. Food is awesome! Drinks are premium quality. We stayed by the ocean and loved it. We enjoy being by the water and the sounds of the ocean. The beach area is small but the rest makes up for it. We will definitely return to a Sandals resort :).

Grand Palladium Jamaica: Amazing!

The resort was beautiful, the staff were friendly and helpful and the GP had all the amenities anyone could want, no matter what kind of vacation you were looking to have! This is my 3rd trip to Jamaica and 1st to the GP... I will definitely return to GP!

Royalton Negril Resort And Spa: Great Vacation

We stayed at this hotel December 8 - 22, 2014 and had an excellent time. The Beach is stunning; the food was excellent; the rooms older; however very clean and pleasant; the staff were very friendly and helpful. Only issue that we had is that the hotel was over booked and we ended up with a cove room even though that was not where we booked. We found that there were several other couples that were in the cove rooms and had not booked on that side either. The hotel had the excuse that they were o [... read more]ver booked and that they could only accommodate us there - I feel that they should not have offered the room as a non- cove room if they were unable to supply. We were disappointed that we were on the cove side as that is not our taste; however we made the best of it and would definately return to this resort but would make it very clear that a cove room would not be acceptable.

Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton: lot's of different little spots on the resort

Overall it was a nice resort and nice little spots around the site. Service was not the best for the price you pay. Maybe because it was full capacity (NEW YEAR WEEK) Fyi if you bring your own wine and ask for nice big glasses, they will give you a hard time.We we're not impressed for this matter. Even thow it was at 100% capacity, we didn't feel like we we're stepping on each other sine it's a massive resort. Room were clean.If you want a sick view on the coral beach tey the get room 2921.

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Amazing Resort!

Staff was super friendly. They were very accommodating and the room was great. The food was great and the drinks were awesome. It was a lifestyle that I could get used to very quickly. Only two things were a little unusual. In the room, the bathroom had a gigantic transparent glass window that faced the main room. There was a curtain but it was still weird. Riu Ocho Rios: First Time in Jamaica

Our stay at the Riu Ocho Rios was good. In all our 20 years of travel, the food was great, good selection and quality. During our stay, it rained 4 out of 6 days. We still made the best of it, even swam in the rain, didn't want to waste time. As for the beach, not as nice as Punta Cana or Varadero. We would love to return to Jamaica overall but the airport experience was bad. Not enough airport staff to support the amount of tourists going in and out. Especially leaving Jamaica, worst experience [... read more] ever in all our travels, not enough security facilities to accommodate the volume of tourists. Travel from the airport to the hotel took 2 hours. Way too long after waiting in Toronto, then flying 3.5 hours and another 2 or more hours going through customs, etc at the Montego Bay airport, the whole day, 12 hours was travel time. Jamaica looked like a beautiful country and the people really friendly and respectful but for the reasons listed, we will not be returning.

Couples Tower Isle: superb service

We just got back from a wonderful 10 day stay. We loved the fact that it is a smaller resort, and that there was no tipping of the staff! The pools are small but adequate and clean. The beach is lovely and private to the resort. The cleanliness left a little to be desired, though. After a very windy day, a lot of seaweed came ashore..3 days later, they were still cleaning it. It was off to the side, so no great big deal. What really got us was that regular beach clean up involved raking and BURY [... read more]ING the piles of rubbish along the shoreline! No problem with the biodegradable stuff...but digging holes in the sand and tossing in plastic bottles and cigarette butts? There were three parrots on the property...in a very secluded/isolated area. It was almost a week before we realised that they were there! We think any pet lover, bird owner [particularly people familiar with parrots, and their needs] would be appalled by their lack of proper care. One of them needs medical attention ASAP.

Grand Palladium Jamaica: Very nice

The signature Palladium pool was very nice, the grounds were very clean and the beach was a huge disappointment on the resort. Even water shoes will not save you from the rocks and coral that are right on the beach. The resort is so spread out there is a lot of walking, be prepared!

Royalton Hideaway Blue Waters: Fantastic Resort

Amazing Resort! The hotel was very clean and the people were friendly. The grounds were beautiful and the food was very good. I would recommend this hotel to families with young children. Only negative thing about this property was that it did not have a large beach area.

Couples Sans Souci: Absolutely love this hotel.

We have visited Sans Souci for 4 years now, always for Christmas and New Year and although the rooms could do with a little refreshing, the staff are the best ever, the grounds are immaculate and the food is fabulous.

Royalton Negril Resort And Spa: staff at resort amazing

Staff make you feel special from front desk to cleaning and maintance people amazing music and shows view is excellent close to negril food great Beautiful gardens . Coconut trees all over grounds. Flowers everywhere. Hope they keep this adult only wont be same if not adults only kids add to much drama atbeach. .had kids and love them but not on vacation

Riu Montego Bay: Would not stay at Riu hotels again

I booked in September for six people to travel for Christmas , we requested same floor we were in different building .I was traveling with my kids. They changed it to same building all different floors. Only one buffet restaurant and could only book alacarte resturant two days at a time. I stood in line to book 30 minutes to book resturant. The food was great most staff was amazing. They are all underpaid... They only fill your room bar every other day with 2 or 4 beers. Could not sit at beach n [... read more]ot enough lawn chairs at beach or pool. To big to much walking no coffee maker in rooms. Sunwing planes are awfull,very small. They run out of food. Great weather!!!!!

the hotel was great! clean and people were very freindly And the food was excellent ... I travelled with a picky teenager who just loved everything The entertainmenet aws very professional . The beach was well organized and the lounging areas were great .We had a great time .

Catalonia Montego Bay: Great Family Resort

Great family resort. Public areas were kept spotless. Most of the resort had a no smoking policy. The nightly entertainment was excellent.! Beaches are awesome. Drinks fantastic.Plenty of drink bars(both alcoholic and non alcoholic) throughout the resort. Jerk chicken from the Jerk Shack was to die for.! Buffet had a good selection of Jamaican food daily.
