Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Just Ok Resort

We arive there around12pm but we had to wait until 3pm to get the room. It is not a good fitst day to wait with 3 kids over 4 hours to get in to the room. Once we got room keys did not work.we had to walk to the main lobby twice. After a long time someone came and fix it. Room AC was so nosy. We never had a good sleep. On last day no one came to clean the room and did not fix the beds.phone system does not work if we need something we had to walk to the lobby. There are insects in the room such  [... read more]as small lizardd. Worker are great people we kind and suportive. Food is not good at all. There no proper labeling. List of food label is on the top of the counter. You would not know which food it is refering. Water pool is not clean at all. I do not think the plastic drinking cups are properly washed.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Peace in the sun

A beautiful peaceful place. It's an amazing place to spend a great time relaxing. The pool, the food, the service was incredible. The location is a bit far from the airport but it's worth all the drive.

Riu Flamingos: amazing resort

There was 5 different restaurants to eat from and they all were amazing. Everyone there, especially the workers, were all very polite and helpful. Resort was beautiful overall and kept much more clean than i had expected. Would definitely recommend to families and older couples but not sure about younger crowds who like to party as the night life is not great. Definitely more family oriented. Overall would definitely go again if traveling with family or kids.

Paradisus Playa del Carmen: Amazing Resort!

Great Resort this was our 2nd time going to this place. Food and Service was excellent loads of activities for kids and adults alike . Beach wasnt so great as they are having a seaweed issue . Rooms are well maintained and service is next level.

Secrets Mirabel Cancun Resort and Spa: Great and Excellent Resort!!

First of all thank you Trip Central for such a great deal. It was a fabulous vacation for us. We enjoyed a lot. Now Emerald is one of the greatest resort. Concierge, Room service and Security were outstanding. Plus the view and resort pool. Well budgeted. Only thing I would like to recommend is to improve the quality of food and options for vegetarians and vegans. Since We were a vegetarian couple on board, we didn’t have much options to explore. But the food quality was also par the basic.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Great Resort

Absolutely gorgeous, big well kept resort. Great food, and so much choices. The A la carts were so good and aging service at all four that I went to. Great staff, loved the coffee. Gorgeous pools. Lady who cleaned my room was great!! I can't wait to go back!!💖💖💖💖

Ocean Riviera Paradise: It was okay hotel

I went to this hotel with my wife and the baby to celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary. There was alot of mixed reviews but in general we personally did not like the hotel. The front desk staff are really rude and the way they look at you is that we are the workers and they are the customers. We did not feel very welcoming at all from them. The front desk ask if we are here on vacation or celebrating anything, so we did say we are celebrating our 5 year wedding anniversary and that was it.  [... read more]Once we went to the room and trying to make reservations for the restaurants but its showing our room is under someone else's name and not our name. we asked if they is any baby crib and they said they do have available and will bring to the room but never did. and every time I follow up on it they always give the same answer. But the staff at the restaurant's and the entertainment staff in the pool were really good. The food was really good also. It did not feel like a 5 star hotel really felt like a 3 star hotel. A lot of restrictions as where its all inclusive but you cannot get the drinks after a certain time and the food for room service is limited. This is our 2nd time in Mexico in playa del carmen but we stayed at a different hotel before and would go back to that hotel. The beach was very dirty was not able to go to the beach. But the rooms are nice and big, so i would not give 5 star.

Barcelo Maya Colonial: THIS IS AN AMAZING RESORT

ALL FACILITIES ARE WELL MAINTAINED WITH FRIENDLY STAFF THE POOLS ARE NICE AND WARM, THE BEACH IS NICE BUT ROCKY, FOOD IS GOOD AND THERE ARE MANY ACTIVITIES TO DO ON THE RESORT, YOU CAN ALSO BOOK MANY TRIPS FORM THE RESORT TO VISIT SITE OUTSIDE, THERE IS ALSO A MALL IN THE RESORT TO SHOP

Barcelo Maya Colonial: Amazing resort

Excellent place to spend time with your family, we loved everything about this hotel, the food was so good, the service at the restaurant was amazing. Every night they had a different kind of shows. The beach and pools were good too, my kids loved being threre, plus they had waterpark for smallers kids with slides. Overall we had an amazing experience at this resort plus we fell in love with Mexico 😉

Barcelo Maya Colonial: Amazing resort

Check in took a very long time very frustrating to wait after a long flight. The resort was very clean and staff was helpful. Food was excellent. The beach was very rocky. Calls for the bus was not very efficient had to wait 1 hour more for the scheduled bus time. We wanted to extend and the process was not easy nor cheap.

Royalton CHIC Cancun: Does not meet expectations.

Arrived at the resort at 12:00p.m. Was not greeted warmly, werent given a tour of the hotel, walked around until the room was ready at 3pm. We received a lower grade room than what we had requested. The hotel was clean, the staff were friendly except for the front desk. During our stay, the safe malfunctioned, the bed frame was so rusted it broke resulting in my husband falling and the hairdryer didnt work. The fridge in the room was not restocked unless we contacted them. The  [... read more]resort entertainment was ok. Music stopped at pool area at 3pm. The night time entertainment was geared towards the younger patrons. The beach area was kept very clean however hotel was short staffed and service was slow.

Catalonia Riviera Maya: good value

We were lucky to get a recently overhauled room and it was excellent. Food was what can be expected, ala carte were good but try to figure out the following. They ask you dress nicely but don't enforce it whatsoever. In most restaurants where they are trying to be upscale they would ask you to turn off your phone. Here they only have one or two actual menus and want to to download the menu to your phone, so what you have is people in t shirts and grubby shorts looking at their phones and you [... read more] wonder why did I bother to bring nice clothes? Staff are generally pleasant. Biggest problem is the isolation. If you want to go to Playacar for a shopping trip or meal away first you have to spend $90.00 US on a cab ride to get there. Add the Canadian conversion and it becomes a major expense.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: BP Sian Ka'an de-stressing

It has been 3 years since our last visit to Sian Ka'an due to covid. Our return in early September was met with all the de-stressing measures still in place. Very little has changed. The staff are key to this and any hotel vacation. From the front desk check-in, to buffet servers, to cleaning staff, to beach servers, to entertainment team, to shuttle drivers and to a la carte services; everything is running smoothly as it was before the pandemic. Our rating is how did our overall vacation meet our pre vacation needs, and Sian Ka'an does this very well for us. Were the minor issues taken care of, did it matter that the furnishings in the room are not ultra modern - to us these could be bonuses but not prerequisites to enjoying our vacation time. For value in a Mexican AI, Sian Kaan is still hard to beat. Yes Grand Velas, Secrets, Excellence have better this & that, but you pay dearly for it. I will take my 2nd or third vacation for the same money.

Royal Hideaway Playacar: Luxurious resort

Very satisfied with the hotel and service there. We were pleasantly surprised by the beach - though there was algae, we were still able to swim and the water, once past that initial width of algae, was beautiful and clear. Not having been able to travel because of COVID, the vacation was wonderful. Thank you.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Great first vacation!

The overall look and feel was just unbelievable! From the amazing service, to the accommodating staff, great look at feel, cleanliness and so forth, I definitely recommend. The food and drinks were also consistently great, just wish things like the pool and bars were open later.

Akumal Bay Beach and Spa Resort: Excellent Resort

The resort is a home away from home. Perfect blend of rainforest and the beach. Cozy cottage and beach decor. Amazing staff that goes out of their way to make their customers happy. Taster food, clean beach not so crowded and the wellness programs and activities were awesome. Special thanks to Irem, our Yoga teacher, Lizbeth the PR manager( she made us feel extremely special and comfortable) and Alexandro who was the activities Center employee. Grand Riviera Princess: Ok Resort

The experience was "ok" all around. Not as good as resorts I've stayed at, or as bad. Unfortunately the hospitality was lacking, as was the general cleanliness. The entertainment staff were wonderful all around, and kept the day active and fun. There are many pools to try out, each with a unique vibe, depending on the mood your in. Seaweed was awful (and an awful smell - don't get a room close to the beach! Food was overall really good - but if you have dietary restrictions this isn't the place for you - again, just not willing to accommodate.

Ocean Riviera Paradise: ORP - Privilege Junior Suite Swim Up - All Inclusive

I was extremely happy with my experience with Sunwing and Ocean Riviera Paradise - I had a Privilege Swim up Suite Room 3115 King size bed Sofa bed Personalised check-in and check-out Bathrobe and slippers ​24hr room service Balcony with private jacuzzi Concierge Services were very helpful - We texted via Whatsapp and met up where required. - Booking my diner reservations each morning before I got up, helped me reserve sunbed at the Privilege beachfront as well. Made change [... read more]s as I needed them and helped me with a car rental for a day trip out of the resort. I went in June for 11 days - across Canada Day and 4th of July - Both holidays were celebrated in some fashion at the resort. My room was great, no issues with humidity as some have described, but being tropical region, everything smells slightly damp. Pools and areas very clean, and never a long wait at any of the bars ( Beso and Privilege) I didn't really go anywhere else. I am flexitarian, and I found the restaurant menus really hit or miss. Some nights/dishes were awesome, others not. I really liked the atmosphere and service at the Italian and Blue Moon, Privilege Restaurants. Pez Villa - During lunch and at dinner was really disappointing, - only the view at a sunset time tinner was lovely. The Steakhouse was far too noisy, Mexican Resto waitstaff /service was excellent, I did not do Route66 and even though the japanese is super popular, and entertaining , I was really disappointed at the fool Activity coordinators work very hard, and are super helpful Everything is easily walkable, but it can be nice to use the trollys too. I do think upgrading at purchase for Privilege rooms and services is worth the additional cost. Sometimes guests are offered upgrades at arrival, but in my opinion they did not get the best choice of room. I would recommend this Resort. I have been to a few in the Mayan Riviera, and even after the effects of a hurricane 4 years ago ( Privilege chill lounge is closed ) , the hotel is working hard to keep guests happy

The Pyramid Cancun: Good value great staff

Pros: 1. Nice and friendly staff 2. Food in most restaurants is amazing (especially Sakura and benezuza) 3. Good if you are looking to party 4. LOADS of options to eat and drink. Over 20 restaurants Cons: 1. Rooms are little old 2. Alcohol feels diluted 3. Beach had sea weed (to be fair it's not their fault and it was everywhere else as well) 4. No one picks up the phone if you call from your room
