Riu Bambu: Great resort

When we first got to the resort we though "wow those negative reviews were so wrong". Overall, our stay was good. The food was initially great but got very repetitive by the end of it. The restaurants were nothing special as most of the food there were also available in the main buffet. Everything was super cheesy/fatty so expect to gain a few pounds! We paid extra and upgraded our room, which is worth it! No issues with ants or bugs in the upgraded rooms and they were very clean. Overall, this resort is definitely worth what you pay for. I'm a little picky and would probably not go again, would like to try Macao or the Palace one day.

Riu Vallarta: Extremely helpful , friendly, Outgoing

Now understand I think it was very close to 100% First time I went there was people smoking in Disco & no problems were caused & this time people were asked to leave & the rule should be just no smoking or drinks on Dane Floor, My other suggestion is more quallity snack available for late evenings like fries or personal pizza. Now its only my opinion , I'm going back no matter what. And move Isreal from pool bar back to bar by theater , he had the ability to get people involved in fun and social [... read more]izing with others you did not know just laughs and fun. I will say I tip above the average tip but these people give 100% to try make you happy & comfortable.. I will there was a couple minor problems but I am the type that will bring it to their attention & they were rectifying immediatly.. Enjoy Just about pool, people using tables in the pool who smoke and fill up plastic cups with butts & leave them to be knocked into pool, try think of others & have some respect for people & staff.

Riu Guanacaste: Great resort, great service!

The hotel is big, clean, and has plenty to do. The staff is cordial and the service i good. The restaurants are good, especially if you're not into the typical hamburger/fries/pizzas (though they have some of that too for those uninterested in trying other things) but the best ones are the Italian and the buffet, though the food is not that different between the restaurants.

Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: VERY GOOD RESORT

ROOMS VERY GOOD IF YOU TIP. FOOD VERY GOOD. THE ONE THING THAT I DID NOT LIKE. THE NIGHT BEFORE WE LEFT I WENT BACK TO MY ROOM TO WATCH TV AND IT WAS TURNED OFF. THIS UPSET ME GREATLY! CHG. THIS AND I WILL BE BACK

Riu Flamingos: Thiefs in RIU PALACE

I originally booked for Riu Jalisco but when we went there they told us it is full of locals so they are going to upgrade us to Riu Palace. They sent us to Riu Palace and we had the worst time in there! To think that a 5 start hotel will be better than all of them but NO IT WASN'T. RIU PALACE stole from our Room twice. First they stole a pack of smokes which is not a big deal but than they stole my wife's Michael Kors purse!! A purse that you cant fit in the safe so we left it hidden and they we [... read more]nt through our stuff and stole it. That's a shame and it is so low for a 5 star hotel

Sol Turquesa Beach: Great Time

The resort was very clean no complaints about the room or staff. The room were big had a balcony and stocked with drinks as well as alcohol. The beach was great and also had a bar. The only downfall is the food, Cuba is not known for its food but Ive been to other resorts that have much more choice. There was not much entertainment but the staff was very friendly.

Riu Playa Blanca: Slightly disappointed

Although I had a great time in beautiful Panama, the Riu Playa Blanca resort did not meet my expectations. I have been told that the Riu resorts are the best; however, the only good service came from the activity people in red and white. Otherwise the service was inattentive and unorganized. I strongly believe this resort has yet to find a leader to direct the team successfully. The main concern was the smell of the room/pillows - when walking into the room it smelt moldy (in such humid weather  [... read more]I understand this) but the pillows also smelt like mild - very badly. Also the entertainment at night could benefit from being a bit longer (as advertised). Overall I enjoyed this experience and country but not necessarily the resort. Oh and the pools were quite disgusting

Riu Palace Peninsula: Beautiful REsort

Resort is beautiful. I don't like that the toilet is separate from the sink and that you have to walk out and open and closed door and get to the sink, I think it is not hygenic. Also that the whirlpool tub is beside your bed.

Riu Negril: EXCELLENT RESORTS

The hotels ground was beautiful kept, the food very very good, the service was excellent, the location was very good the pool was very clean and also the room . The staff at the hotel made you feel at home, they go out of their way to made your stay comfortable

Riu Playa Blanca: Good for price

The hotel is not a 5 star hotel but it is a nice hotel. Very nice view, helpful people and good food at the buffet and the restaurants. Lots for young kids and adults to do not as much for teens, other than hanging on the beach. Hotel staff should become more versed on the activities to do outside of the hotel. New airport 10 min from hotel makes check out very easy.

Sol Turquesa Beach: Loved the resort

Very clean rooms , good food, lots to choose from the buffets, enjoyed the very friendly staff .The evening entertainment should be more Cuban oriented. Liked the idea of the market being on the grounds

Grand Memories Varadero: Best Vacation Ever !!!

My husband and I arrived Aug 9th and were booked in a superior room, however were immediately upgraded to a Junior Suite in the Deluxe Adults only section...OMG it was wonderful, our room was just lovely, and the private pool, restaurant, and bar were great !!! We did venture to the main buffet and found the food to be very good there as well as the service. The resort is very clean, pools were clean, and service was spectacular !!! Would go back again in a heart beat !!!

Riu Palace Pacifico: Great resort

Very clean, quiet resort with a helpful staff. Good food in both the buffet and the a la carte restaurants. Short cab ride to town but still far enough away to be secluded. I would highly recommend this resort over the Riu Vallarta or Riu Jalisco. Well worth the extra $$$.

Riu Palace Costa Rica: beautiful resort - but a couple of issues

The resort was beautiful, well maintained and the food was great. The only downside was that there were no washrooms located around the pools. The closest washroom was in the restaurant by the last pool and had a sign do not use when wet (not that anyone listened). A pool bar and no bathroom grosses me out a bit. Also if you are planning to go to the disco, be aware that it is not all inclusive and expect to pay $7/drink.

Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: not a pleasant experience

The hotel ground is kept clean. However this resort may.have a serious big rats infestation. The large rodents jump freely in the main lobby during day time and hit my daughter leg. We have been @ this resort three times with no plans to ever return again.

Riu Palace Mexico: Second and last time around

Unbearably damp room. Ugly new color scheme and bad bathroom design. Cheep and bad table wine, even in the specialty restaurants. It is not the resort it use to be, even in the service and the visiting crowd. Stay away.

Grand Memories Varadero: Another day in paradise!

This was my first trip to Cuba, and my friend with whom I was travelling had stayed at this Riu the year before and loved it. Our arrival was seamless: we were greeted outside the airport and bussed to the resort. After being trollied to our deluxe section lobby, where we were served complimentary drinks, we were brought to our massive suite, with a view of the pool. I didn't really go to Cuba to travel, so the quiet disco was fine with me, I heard complaints that it wasn't feisty enough, but it is really easy to get to Varadero clubs from the resort. Pool games were hilarious, I didn't take part but enjoyed watching the crazy games from afar, daquiri-in-hand. The beach could get busy, but not unbearable, plus the view was terrific. All in all, an amazing place to stay!

Riu Flamingos: Good time at Riu Jalisco

We had a wonderful vacation at Riu Jalisco. The initial room did not have an pleasant view and we requested a ocean view room which was given to us in the next day. Very nice pools, grounds, beach ; good evening shows and movies on the beach. Very good customer service, food and drinks as well. This is our fourth vacation in PV,and I recommend this resort.

Riu Playa Blanca: amazing resort

Top quality service bad amazing view. Would definitely recommend it. The pools were spacious the staff was helpful and honest. The bartenders were enthusiast and the night life was to die for. My favorite restaurant on the resort was the steakhouse.

Riu Ocho Rios: Beautifull, amazing resort

Resort very clean, good service ,staff is amazing, it I afar from the airport but the bus ride is beautifull, I sure would go back. Went to Dunn falls river was fun and beautifull, beach is wide and lots of chairs available
