El Dorado Maroma: Outstanding food

Great resort! The service, the spa, the beach, the rooms, all top notch. The clientele was a little older then most resorts. The hotel is situated between to government reserve lands, so the beach isn’t busy but there is a public dock with water sports close by, so you do get a few kids wandering onto the hotels beach.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Amazing staff

Thanks to Mishel Romero and his staff for a wonderful stay. They were more than happy to see to all of our needs. There is a shuttle that brings you to all the other restaurants and the beach every 15 minutes.

Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach: Amazing Resort

The entertainment team was fabulous and all the staff were kind and genuine people. Amazing stay and service. The location was beautiful, even though it was windy. My family and i had a great stay. Would like to go again!:)

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Great resort

Blue Bay is a big reset with about 1,000 rooms. Despite its size the rooms are well kept, the grounds were impeccable and service was excellent. We were able to book dinners at the specialty restaurants every night, no restrictions. Would probably go back in the next couple of years.

Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach: Wonderful Multi-Generation Resort

Located between Puerto Morales and Playa del Carmen, Paraiso Beach is an enjoyable resort with a family orientated emphasis. It has all of the amenities that are contained within beautiful grounds and is staffed by attentive and hard-working folks. There are a variety of restaurants, bars and a plethora of daily activities featured in addition to, evening shows that range from high end amateur musical theatre to off the strip professional performers. We travelled with three teenagers (with [... read more]out cell phones) for 12 days who were on the go from 8 – 11 p.m.; lovin’ every minute of it. (The kids club received rave reviews from both parents and kids.) If you have mobility issues, you should alert the front desk, as it is a large complex. Additionally, it is difficult to acquire a family meal times (5-7 p.m.) from the a la carte restaurants. However, there are many alternative options of extensive buffets, tacos, burgers and the little-known Star Rock Café which serves excellent food without a reservation. For our family of five this was a good value for money, all inclusive resort and it is fittingly well- recommended.

Hotel Xcaret Mexico: Outstanding resort

Hotel Xcaret is an amazing resort, the staff, the grounds, the food, drinks and the parks are all outstanding. Everyone goes above and beyond to make sure you are enjoying your stay. I can’t think of visiting anywhere else. We upgraded to feugo adult only and it was absolutely amazing !!

Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: Valentin

It certainly wasn’t what we experienced two years ago. The service wasn’t as good and you can tell there have been cutbacks at the restaurants. It disappoints me that the wind blows constantly and that the beach and watersports are not really available and the red flags seem to be constantly up.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Great resort

Best all inclusive place I have been, and I have been to many over the years. Food was excellent, place was super clean, grounds are kept very neat and the staff as very friendly and helpful, especially since I was traveling with a walker.

Selection Riviera Cancun: One of our Favourites!

This is a smaller, walk-able resort. Easy to get around the beautiful grounds and to the wonderful restaurants. All the staff are friendly, helpful and seem proud of their jobs, which we find very refreshing. It is a family resort and it was nice to hear the children playing and having a good time. When you walk into the front entrance, the aroma coming from the spa is immediately relaxing. The wind was blowing in lots of kelp to the beach but the resort works tirelessly to keep it managea [... read more]ble. We spent all our time in the pools anyway and the staff keep them very clean. We would recommend that the young party people remember there are children about during the day and might perhaps chose an adult only resort if they have a day/night party focus. Again, thanks to the staff for keeping it enjoyable for everyone.

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: Lindo never fails

This is our 5th stay at Lindo and it will not be our last. We have been to many other resorts in the Mayan Riviera and while most of the others were nice we have never returned to them. Lindo is part of the Iberostar Paraiso Resort Complex, there are five resorts in the complex, and Lindo is the middle of the five. We feel that Lindo gives you the most bang for our buck. The resort is a very safe place so there is no worry about walking around at night or early in the morning. Also there are not people on the beach driving you crazy trying to sell you their local wares. Unlike most resort chains Iberostar does not have people harassing you to buy time shares or join clubs, these are offered but only if you show an interest. The only thing that I can say at all negative is about the evening shows. These shows have not changed in the past five years. While the rock show is great this is mainly because of the guitarist who is the real star of the show. I would like to see all of the other shows given an update. I would love to be given the job to select new music for all the shows. If you have never been here before you will enjoy the shows but if you are a returning guest it becomes a little boring. The entertainment team has completely changed this year, and they are very energetic. Also the resort has been doing some renovations which are great, the beach bar and snack bar are both redone, and there is now a 24/7 coffee bar in the lobby area. I can't say enough good things about Lindo and I am looking forward to going back

Ocean Coral and Turquesa: Bring the little kids!

Just returned from a week there with my grown kids and grandkids! We were so impressed with the cleanliness of the entire resort, and the friendliness of the staff, particularly at the Daisy Club for little ones. While we opted not to use their childcare services, the staff still befriended each of my grandchildren and spoke to them by name throughout the week! Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: It was ok.

The grounds were beautiful and the staff were friendly. The festival buffet was good. I didn't think the other buffet and snack bar had as much variety. The bed was very comfortable and we had very good sleep. Over all it was a pleasant stay but I personally wouldn't go again because the beach is almost non existant, room service is NOT included, you need to make reservations for the restaurants and they were almost always booked! Even if you show up at 730am. So we basically ate at the b [... read more]uffet everyday. The Mexican and Italian restaurants were available but they sucked (you're better off at the buffet). We have stayed at better. Also its in a swap and full of mosquitos which they fumigate for regularly in the middle of the day so we breathed in quite a bit of that! So did our 2 year old son which I was really upset about because they don't warm you ahead of time so you can't avoid going out when they do that. When you do complain about something...like inhaling fumigation chemicals or not being able to get into the nicer restaurants despite waking up early like they told you to, they don't seem to care. The attitude seems to be "well that's how it is".So yeah all in all would not go back because I know there are better places out there

This resort is over 10 years old. I booked a Junior suite for my family vacation and got a good deal around black Friday. The room is spacious but the furniture is kind old. The washroom sink was always clogged due to poor design. The washroom has a shower and a bath tube. The water temperature of the shower is not stable. So, we switched to the bath tube but there is no curtain to prevent water from spilling. So, we couldn't avoid making the floor wet and ended up calling room service. I am [... read more] quite impressed by the good services offered by waiters and waitresses in the restaurants. Make sure you bring enough US$1 bills for tipping as you pretty much need to tip everywhere you receive a service including getting some ice cream. This time of the year, the beach is filled with seaweeds, so the water is not clean enough. At the lobby, there are staff trying to sell you membership on the second day of your arrival. I would say "avoid it"! Make sure you also avoid the people trying to sell you timeshare at the airport. Overall, I am still happy with the stay and had a good time there.

Barcelo Maya Grand Resort: One of the best resort out there

I think it was the best week I’ve ever had in my entire life the food was amazing the rooms were awesome with the most beautiful view you can ever had and best of all the people so amazing with you by doing what ever they can to help and make as comfortable as you can be... by far one of the best resorts I’ve ever been to

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: nice and cozy resort

beautiful landscaping. Animals everywhere. I didn't like that you are treated like a 3 star resort customer unless your participate in their secluded customers and then they will treat you like a 5 star. Rooms are outdated but charming. short staff at all bar location, lucky that I don't drink alcohol. Staff are very nice a friendly. I will go again because I know what to expect and I believe the price is reasonable.

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Great stay

Really enjoyed our time at blue bay. Friendly staff, good food. Unfortunately water wansnt the tourquoise blue of past years but I suspect the seaweed bloom had a lot to do with it. Lots of workers on the beach daily raking and taking away to make it as nice as possible for the visitors. Tours were easy to book and well priced. Shuttle bus into town was convenamd safe.

Grand Sunset Princess: Amazing Service, Well-Maintained, Beautiful Resort

Wonderful resort! The grounds were lush and immaculately maintained. Service was spot on - never waited in any lines. Party if you want to party, chill if you want to chill. Entertainment staff not pushy.

Grand Sirenis Mayan Beach: Absolutely wonderful

This resort was wonderful. Lots to do, very friendly and helpful staff, awesome and spacious room. The lazy river and dolphin show was wonderful. Quite enjoyed our stay. The a la cartes were absolutely amazing. Did not want to come home. Thank you.

Barcelo Maya Caribe: Amazing Resort

Very clean and well maintained resort. Food was excellent and you never had to wait for anything as there was plenty of staff working to make sure all food trays were always full. Large selection to choose from. We had breakfast at the buffet daily and found so much variety. Something for everyone. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Plenty of beach and pool chairs. We highly recommend it and will be returning. I travelled with my husband and another couple for 1 wk at the beginning of February.

Hotel was very nice. Rooms spacious and clean. Grounds very well maintained. Great staff. Friendly always with a greeting. Beach unfortunately was suffering from the sea weed this year but resort made valiant efforts to keep it under control. Would recommend
