Riu Emerald Bay: good deal

good deal...get a room on the lower floors and take the stairs. otherwise the elevator waits can be annoying. The food and service is very good. Beach is nice, beautiful rocks and a sunset second to none.

Riu Guanacaste: Great relaxing resort

Great hotel! Staff and Ticos are amazing people! Very friendly and accommodating. I like the location for being a little remote, only 2 resorts on beach. Peaceful, exotic, and beautiful location. Very clean and well kept full of natural beauty!

Sol Turquesa Beach: Breathtakiing!

Hotel was well maintained. Staff were friendly and eager to assist. Lots of daytime and nighttime activities. Entertainment staff weren't pushy. Always greeted with a friendly face or a smile. Great place for friends and families.

My experience with the Riu as a first time trip is WOW. From the arrival to the resort the experience was excellent.You are greeted by the staff who are friendly and knowledgeable with a welcoming drink. From check in to check out you have no worries as someone is there to assist. The resort is beautiful, the grounds with flowers, trees are well maintained, The pool area is large and you are able to relax and enjoy. The restaurants and bars are also very good. With four restaurants to choose fro [... read more]m you do not have to go hungry. Rooms are comfortable and clean. The amenities on the resort provide additional things to do. The gym, spa disco and casino are there for your use. All in all the stay was excellent. I would recommend the Rui to any one.

Riu Bambu: Wonderful Vacation!!!

The very first trip South we did my husband and I was at this resort 9 years ago. It was a dream come true and it's still as marvelous as it was then. When we went in Feb of 2013 again, we knew that we were going to be in good hands. We like the Riu chain. All of our expectations were delivered. The sand is like white flour and the water is always clean and beautiful. I can't say enough how much we enjoyed our stay. I would go back in a heart beat.

Riu Yucatan: sunshine galore

Rooms were good, resort was always clean and landscape was well laid out and well taken care of. Restaurants were fine the Italian restaurant was a favourite. The nightly entertainment could use some work.

Riu Ocho Rios: Great time at a great resort!

The layout of the hotel was great - we ate almost every meal with a view of the ocean. The grounds and facilities were also great! The beach was perfect and we never had trouble finding chairs on the beach. The food was amazing and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Riu Caribe Cancun: Travel Virgin

I bought this as a gift for my son and his girlfriend. She has travelled the world and this was his first trip outside of Canada or the U.S.A....they had a great time. The resort was clean with lots of food options. The staff was all very nice and helpful with information for off the resort. It was such a good experience that they can't wait to start planning their next trip.

Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: perfect again!!!

the short version: Third time there, food was awesome the staff was polite and efficient, the entertainment was fantastic, the grounds and beach were clean and well maintained, and the drinks were not watered down. I will be going again and again.

Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: great place to stay

i have bee going to the RIU Bachata for 2 years now and i would not stay any where else.The place is great right from the food to the hotel staff. they are all very friendly. the pool is great with 2 pools,its very clean. the beds are comfortable. i would recommend the RIU Bachata to anyone.

Riu Merengue: Loved this resort

Loved everything about this resort, food was great, staff amazing beaches. The only thing that was not up to my liking was the beds and pillows. That would be my only complaint. Loved how close everything was .

Sol Turquesa Beach: Riu Turquesa

Beautiful resort, lots to do. Great for runners, lots of hills and stairs. Great for kids, animal rides, catamarans, pedal boats, snorkel gear all included. Not good for strollers and very small kids. Close to airport.

Riu Flamingos: Beautiful resort, food has something to be desired

The resort was beautiful. Staff was amazing. Food was very bland. I had some chicken that wasn't completely done. 1st peice was really good, 2nd piece was half cooked. They had a good variety of fish but I don't like fish. More meat selection would be great. Loved the bread section, was amazing. A la carte restaurants were really good. Wonderful staff Cuban people are awesome. Toke some tours of Veradero & Havana. Jeep safari tour was awesome. Got to see some real Cuban living. Gorgeous old cars. Took a ride in a 1929 ford. Riu Santa Fe: This resort is slipping

This used to be one of our favorite places in Mexico but now like other Riu resorts they are dumping their room cheap to locals but of course there were very few locals in the Los Cabos area so they found the American University crowd, who's only ambition seems to be to get drunk and have a good time at no matter what the cost to anyone else! Sadly when the students arrive the quality of everything departs food becomes very poor drinks get weaker noise levels go through the roof and the pools un [... read more]tenable, sad to say we will not likely return, a shame, this is not to blame the students rather the Riu chains not being able to understand the needs of their various clients.

Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: Everything you could want!

Beautiful property with all the amenities. The tour guides were awesome, very helpful and always available. Really good cleaning staff at work to keep the common areas well kept. Good food, good drink, good staff .... what more could you ask?

Riu Palace Peninsula: Impressive Hotel, First rate Food, Fun, Friendly..

Impressive Hotel, First rate Food, Fun, Friendly guests from around the world are all impressed with the unique architecture of this magnificent building... Amazing view of the peninsula. Most people would have no problem returning to this paradise in Cancun.

Grand Memories Varadero: The resort, over all was really good.

The over view was excellent. The location good security, the land scape was very was amazing. Really enjoyed the second pool where it is designed like it is among rocky cliffs with a nice setting and very good service Bar.

Riu Santa Fe: Great place!

Food offerings were great. I liked the buffet better than all the a la carts. Lots of pools and bars to choose from depending on your mood. Didn't have a problem finding lounge chairs most days. Staff were friendly and helpful. Nice walk along to beach to town.

Grand Memories Varadero: Great time !

The staff were amazing. There was always something to find to eat. The pool bar was so much fun and the adult section is very relaxing. The beach was like no other!!!! We met life long friends from all over Canada as well :)

Sol Turquesa Beach: Paradise!

Favorite place in the world! Staff treat you like family. Beautiful property and views. Lots of stairs but also easy to use paths without stairs or call for cart service. I'm very picky eater and I never go hungry. Can't wait to go back again :)
