Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Fabulous Resort!!!

This was our first time in Dominican Republic and we stayed at the Majestic Colonial Resort in Punta Cana. We loved it! We stayed in the Adult section Junior Jacuzzi with butler service and highly recommend this! Room service was great, we had BBQ chicken pizza late one night. It arrived on time and was hot, flavor truly memorable!!! The adult only pools were very clean and lots of lounge chairs. The grounds were beautiful and very well cared for. The reception area was impressive with a pia [... read more]no bar, a huge staircase, an elevator and lots of seating on both levels. The food was delicious and lots of choices at the Restaurant "Supreme" Buffet, with different themes some evenings. We particularly enjoyed the Restaurant Ma+suri' featuring oriental and Japanese food. The Steakhouse, seafood restaurants were also very good. The staff very friendly. The beach area and sand was absolutely lovely. I went into the ocean every day and enjoyed the waves as there was always a breeze, so it never felt too hot. There was a clinic on site with a Doctor available 24/7. Thankfully we did not need to use this service. There was lots of entertainment and you could dance all evening or sit in the spacious seating areas and enjoy a drink... The Pina Colada with spiced rum and a sprinkle of cinnamon was my favourite. The 'Majestica" and 'Dirty Monkey" were close seconds and hold great memories of a special vacation.

Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: Awesome

The resort was amazing, service was top notch. We had a luxury/standard room which was fine as we were hardly in it. Yes the shower leaked but a towel on the floor solved the issue. Pools and drinks were great. There was something for everyone. The burgers were the best ever. Some windy days there was above average seaweed but the tractor did its best to clean up. Iberostar Waves Punta Cana: Good 14 day stay

The resort was well thought out; with building locations, pathways, covered walk ways, landscaping and restaurant locations. The staff are great and the entertainment staff put a great deal of effort to entertaining their guests. The food was good; especially the variety of fish. The beach is class 1. Communication of daily activities was lacking. Most resorts have notice boards detailing each days activities or special events. Occidental Punta Cana: Second time at the resort

Grounds well kept, clean, service could use some improvements, room was large, but need some work (paint, cracks in the walls, bathroom shower not working properly, sink not draining small thing that needs to be address, fridge not filled every day had to call front desk everyday day having said that they did come and replenish the fridge and the front desk did the follow up witch was nice but why not fill the fridge at the first place and there would be no need to call and give the custom [... read more]er good feeling and satisfaction Front desk staff this time around was good and spoke English well enough to communicate with Food could use little improvement as well and variety not too many choices to pick from Overall it was a decent stay as it was our second stay at this resort we might consider other options next time

The Reserve at Paradisus Punta Cana: Peaceful, tranquil paradise

Beautiful hotel,grounds and beach. Plenty of options for dining Rooms are spacious and well appointed Excellent service Beach is clean and sandy, great for swimming Concierge service is efficient and great for making reservations

Barcelo Bavaro Beach: PUJ BARCELO Bavaro Beach Resort

Our Vacation at the Barcel Bavaro Beach Resort was amazingly Awesome. Adults only. Rooms were spacious with one heck of a Super size King plus bed. Lots of storage space to unpack like you were at home. Our maid service was Fantastic We were greeted everyday with a beautiful smile, Beer, pop, juice, Water, chips, snacks were topped up daily. Guest Service was absolutely on top of all your needs/concerns. There were info boards, computers. Internet you had to buy The Gift Shop was Small. But the Market on the Beach is Humungous. Easy to bargain. Water Sports was HUGE. OCEAN FRONT WAS CLEAN. ENTERTAINMENT WAS ALL DAY LONG. THE NIGHT ENTERTAINMENT SHOWS WERE VERY COLORFUL. VERY TALLENTED People WALKING THE GARDENS I CAME ACROSS PEACOCKS. THE YARD WORKER GAVE ME PEANUTS THE BIRDS ATE OUT IF MY HAND. THERE WAS A TRAIN THAT RAN EVERY 10 MUNUTES FROM MORNING TILL 3am. The Buffet was huge with a great variety. I sampled foods I thought I’d never eat. Cooked to perfection. The pools were very spacious and well maintained. I cannot comment on the excursions. I focused on much needed relaxation at the Beach and Pools The Palace Hotel next door was Humongous... with so many stores. A Casino, AMAZINGLY BIG. THE BEACH HOTEL NEXT TO THE PALACE HAD A LOT OF ACTIVITIES FOR YOUNG CHILDREN. A PIRATE WATER PARK. IF YOU WANT TO TRY ANY OF THE CULTURAL RESTAURANTS IN THE PALACE YOU COULD BUT HAD TO PAY IF YOU WERE NOT STAYING THERE. WHICH IS UNDERSTANDABLE THEY ALSO HAVE A CASINO OPENED 24 HOURS. BUS RIDE FROM AIRPORT 17 MINUTES AWESOMENESS AIRCONDITIONING WORKED WELL I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS RESORT IN PUNTA CANA IT WAS PEACEFUL AND NOT SO BUSY AS THE OTHERS WERE. THE STAFF WORK SO HARD

Royalton Hideaway Punta Cana: The Perfect Hideaway

My husband and I plan to return to the Royalton Hideaway after spending a wonderful week at this resort..We loved that everything was easily assessable and close by to the beach,swimming pool and restaurants.The rooms although not huge were clean,and efficient with very comfortable beds.Bathrooms on the small side. The restaurants were excellent with terrific service.The grounds were beautiful and above all the people working at the Royalton Hideaway were friendly,helpful and caring. The only downside to the resort like all others is the fact that we had to get up at a ridiculous hour to save a beach palapa for the day.There needs to be more availablility or a different and fair system.

Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana: Excellent Resort

The resort exceeded all expectations. Staff were wonderful, very pleasant and attentive. Rooms and grounds were very well kept. Food was excellent. Beach was beautiful. Entertainment crew was amazing. Wonderful resort to visit.

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Beautiful Resort

This was our 5th time to the Majestic resorts in Punta Cana. We had an amazing time and Loved every minute. They have an incredible staff who really make sure that your vacation is the best. Don't think about it, just go.

Nickelodeon Hotel Punta Cana: Leaves somethings to be desired.

First of all, let me list the positives of this resort. It’s beautifully maintained with wonderfully modern features. The pool was close to the ocean and provided lots of fun times for the kids. The staff were amazing. Kind and happy, couldn’t ask for more there. The Nickelodeon theme wasn’t over the top in your face either which is nice HOWEVER 1. The food was mediocre at best. My husband and friend got incredibly sick (like projectile vomiting for 6+ hours) after eating a pasta meat sauce that had been sitting for who knows how long. My husband had to go on antibiotics when we got home. On the last day we talked to multiple other people who got sick too. 3. The childcare is closed from 5-7pm - which is dinner time. my husband and I would of liked to have dinner alone 1 or 2 times. It’s open from 7-9 which is bedtime for many kids. Very strange. 4. The beds were uncomfortable and the sheets scratchy, which is pretty minor in the end. If my husband hadn’t been SO sick I would recommend this resort.

Grand Memories Punta Cana: Had a great time!

We took our 9 year old daughter with us and she absolutely loved the place. Newly renovated hotel, water park was awesome! Shows were pretty good, food was good and rooms were clean. Lots of entertainment during the day for kids as well. We were right beside janitors room so it was pretty loud in am, lots of banging around. All in all we enjoyed ourselves and we would go back!

Melia Caribe Beach Resort: Melia Caribe Beach Resort

The resort is very well maintained, probably on of the nicest resorts I've ever been too. The rooms were nice and service was good. Beach and pool was nice also. Food was pretty good , no complaints.if there was any downfall was the lack of entertainment at the beach and pool. Pretty laid back. They had shows every night, i would have liked to see more live music. Overall it was a very very nice resort. You also can use the facilities of the Melia punta cana beach resort, which is nice.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Fantastic service!

The resort as whole, the grounds, pools, beach, eating areas etc, were the cleanest I have ever seen at a resort. The service was also the best I have ever seen. We had a great time and would definitely recommend this resort to others. I believe that the excellent staff, everyone from the bar to the grounds keepers to the cooks, deserve to be commended for their hard work and dedication.

the hotel and grounds are still wonderful.......this was our 3rd time going to this resort.......but this time we were a little let down.......we return to this resort because we remembered how friendly and jovial the staff were.........this time was different.....the waiters and waitresses were to busy interacting with each other and being on their cell phones......in 2 weeks less than 5 employees approached us to ask how our stay was.......the resort in my opinion has grown too big too fast an [... read more]d they took all their well trained staff off the older resorts and put them in the new ones.......it was very difficult the get the attention of waitresses in buffet restaurants and lobby bar and when you did manage to get their attention it was difficult to communicate with them because most of them only spoke spanish and did not understand any french or english........another big thing that made it less than enjoyable was the day we got there we had to wait until 5 pm for our room to be ready......once in the room the a/c was not working and was dripping on floor, wrong instructions to the safe deposit box were given to us and we only had one broken plastic chair on the patio.....these problems were rectified within an hour but it was still and inconvenience.......when we got there they invited us to go eat at the buffet (around 3 pm) the cold foods were warm and wilted and the hot foods were cold and dry..........quite a few times in 2 weeks our room was not done by 4:30 pm forcing us to tell maid not to bother since we were getting ready for dinner (our chamber maid was fantastic though)........we had to defrost our own mini fridge since it was only keeping thing barely cooler than room temperature (we asked but no one understood our request)

Occidental Punta Cana: Good resort!

Very clean resort; from the grounds, to the rooms and pool areas. Food and service was decent. Staff were friendly enough, but communication was difficult due to language barrier. Beach was also very clean ans staff were in top of cleaning up empty cups etc

Impressive Punta Cana: An ok resort

The resort is beautiful. The landscape is amazing but the beach was disgusting and smelly with lots of see weeds. The food is not that great! It wasn’t labeled properly. No consideration for people with allergy or vegetarians.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Huge, busy resort

This was our second time at this resort. We stayed in Turquesa section 2 years ago. The rooms are basic but spacious. The resort has 7 hotels combined into one huge complex, divided by luxury level. The food is great and the grounds well kept. This time we struggled for beach chairs and found it frustrating. We stayed in the Punta Cana block, with Air Transat's Royal Golden option, so our block was building 20, closest to beach. No private beach area with chair service! Be careful booking excur [... read more]sions with Air Transat at resort. I would avoid Lucien as he screwed up our booking. I have a disability which I told him about but he booked us on an adventure tour which we did not want, nor could I do elements of.

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Great resort

Really happy with this resort as a whole. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the two issues I had (2 beds for just me instead of 1 bed and a sink drain problem) were addressed right away. The pools and beach were great, and there were different entertaining events every day in the afternoon and evening. I would absolutely go back and I'm recommending this resort to my friends looking for a vacation abroad.

Bahia Principe Explore Legend: Fantisia For some

This resort is set up for children. There is plenty of luxury for the adult crow also. The shows at night were lively and full of colourful costumes. However the songs are mostly in Spanish (was understandable)but my grandsons lost interest pretty quick. Was a bit disappointed in the bathrooms as only one had a urinal at kids height. Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Awesome Trip

The hotel was very nice. The food was excellent. Lots of it. You certainly don't starve. People were friendly and very helpful. Although the hotel was huge, it was easy to get around with the help of trolleys taking you to your destination. We had easy access to the beach which was awesome. The lobby was huge and beautifully decorated. Only drawback was that it closed around 11:00. Entertainment is excellent. A fun way to end your evening.
