Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Vacation

I stayed at the Bahia Principe Luxury hotel in Montego Bay Jamaica. The hotel was super clean the people super nice treated me like I was one of there family members. Awsome food. There was an incident at my stay at this hotel that affected 2 buildings. No air conditioning. I know it wasn’t the staff’s fault but it could have been dealt differently. Until now there has been no compensation for 2 and half days sleeping in the heat which is very disappointing. I sent an email to higher manag [... read more]ement and still waiting for a response. Grand Decameron Cornwall Beach: Would not recommend

This hotel has a lot of issues. No hot water, food cold and aways had to ask to have plates replenished. Great location and all rooms face the ocean. I will not return. Staff okay, they did have some really good nightly entertainment.

Couples Negril: Best Vacation Ever

Couples did not disappoint. Location, location - The beach is stunning and the sunsets breathtaking. I can only echo all the great reviews posted. This resort is well managed and extremely clean. Staff are amazing, from the front desk to the servers to the entertainment team. This was our first visit and won’t be our last. The food was excellent at all restaurants and no issue getting beach chairs with some shade! We enjoyed the Catamaran cruise as well as some of the numerous activities offere [... read more]d throughout the day. You can do as little or as much as you want. It’s all there. We LOVED it.

Grand Muthu Runaway Bay Club Caribbean: Amazing resort!

I found it very nice. The beach was good. Staff was very nice and helpful. The food was amazing, every meal I was very satisfying, the restaurants on the resort were so good and some of the best food I have ever had! Really enjoyed the vacation!

Riu Palace Tropical Bay: Amazing Resort

The resort and our room was clean, food was great, beach was amazing, staff incredible and took care of anything we asked. A great destination for anyone. The daily jerk chicken hut is always a treat. Plenty of a la carte restaurants and the buffet has something for everyone.

Riu Ocho Rios: Awesome Vacation

We had a great time at Riu Ocho Rios. It was our first time staying at a Riu property and we would go back in a heartbeat. The staff was amazing ( Tamesha Sheryl and Silanthia) stood out to us for great service. Food, Beach, Staff, Entertainment, Cleanliness. This resort set the bar. Jewel Paradise Cove: Smaller, friendly, perfect

The staff at the Jewel is the selling point for this resort. You will always see a smile and get a hello everywhere you go. The Jewel is on the smaller side but with all the amenities of a large resort! The food at all of the restaurants, buffet, and beach side jerk hut is delicious. Make sure you try Janice’s ladder challenge (especially #5!) Terry-Ann is your go to lady on the beach and if you’re lucky you can catch some of her dance moves in the evening by the main bar. Riu Montego Bay: RIU Montego Bay Resort

Let me start by saying that my wife and I were very disappointed with the RIU Montego Bay resort. The food was not at all what we had expected most always it was cold and was not properly heated and when it sits there for a while it was not very desirable. The food did not have any flavor very bland and not appealing. We tried all the different restaurants and it was pretty much the same. In fact we ate off the hotel as much as we could. When you have some time I can tell you more about our experience. We ended up using someone other than Sunwing Tours because the lack of our customer experience.

Riu Montego Bay: Amazing getaway

Hotel and grounds are kept beautiful. It didn’t matter what time you got to the beach or pool, there were always enough chairs for everyone. The food was very plentiful and always a good variety at the buffet. We tried all the al a carts, and they were all very good with great service. The entertainment group were present all day long mingling with guests and were fun to be around. The evening shows were excellent including the Michael Jackson show where the choreography was second to none. Riu  [... read more]has a very nice set up including the water slide.

Like it a lot .good food . Service 200 characters to enter is to much for pearson whos inglish is broken I liked this place but i am not story writer What a stupid boy build this app??? But place is worth to come back

Ocean Coral Spring: Ocean coral springs

I wanted to love this hotel but unfortunatley I had a better time in Cuba then in Jamacia i can only speak on this resort as it seem like a morjority of the staff was cold and rude. swimming area had little to no shade. especially the children area which had no shade at all for a big resort, you would think they would have the amount of chairs and way more shade. some food was a hit and miss. best this about the resort is that they had room service which was really convient as my child got tired [... read more] from the day out in the sun. the beach was beautiful but i wish they allowed us further pass the water line as it was shallow out far. I would give this 4 star resort not a 5 few things they need to make better.

Riu Palace Tropical Bay: Resort & Food

We were there April 2nd to 9th, 2024 & enjoyed the many amenities offered! The grounds are very clean and our room was lovely, clean and quiet. The beach was amazing. The entertainment was very good and the programs during the day were a lot of fun. I did the aqua-fit numerous times and we participated in other events (kayak competition, which was a hoot, & karaoke, which was a lot of fun too). There were no cookies, not a muffin, not a piece of toast, no desserts at all (other than fruit which I eat every day at home), no jello, no gluten-free ice cream, no pasta, no banana bread, nothing in the vast massive dessert buffet at all!! It was really sad! The ONLY thing they had was a mcmuffin-type thing for an egg-mcmuffin, but I had to hunt them down daily, get it from someone, have it grilled and by then, the people I was with had finished eating. It was a disaster, and I was embarrassed & humiliated asking for my needs to be somewhat met. The head chef, who was there one of the days (day 6 for us, I think) had me in tears over his treatment and my nerve saying it was lacking in GF options and making excuses for himself. I'd rate the experience as a 1 overall because of this. All other resorts and cruises we have been on, cared, had many options and made me feel they were happy to take care of my needs and others with allergies, in exchange for the big money we paid to be there. Not the Riu tho.

Riu Negril: Wonderful escape

We had a lovely week of sunshine and relaxation. Our wonderful agent must have somehow pulled strings to have gotten us the accomodations that we ended up with. We were able to get right into our room and the location was superb. Due to medical issues, I could not go into the ocean nor walk on the beach which we love doing both. The only complaint was the walking in the extreme heat with no motorized assistance. Dangerous for older people. If you couldnt walk, you couldnt eat. Riu Ocho Rios: Amazing Beach

This was our 3rd stay at this resort, first since the renovations. The food, the beach, the pools, the drinks were all excellent. Great snorkeling right there at the resort. The difference between now 2024 and then 2013 prior to the renovations for us was a noticable decline in client services. The hotel changes their staff on a daily basis, thus impossible to create a liaison with a server or bartender to know what and how you like your drinks or table. The staff never said hello and 70% of the [... read more] time did not respond to just a friendly hello. They never looked at guests in the eyes and the animation staff never collaborated with guests much unless they were of their age, and sorry to say I think color. They were polite but not forthcoming and overly friendly. You had to tip to get okay service. Many attempts to get service over and above like a wash of our travel cup, premium drinks etc. did not happen, did not click like we had at Theis resort in 2013, and other resorts in Jamaica including RIU Negril. This time it was really portrayed as guests visit and spend your money, no thank you. 6 bucks US for a disposable lighter is clearly taking advantage of patrons. No positive Jamaican vibes here for whities anyway, unless you tip large and probably younger crowd. I would not recommend this to someone 50 and over. The entertainment at night seemed to be scripted and did not hold and personal experiences with guests. Our 3rd stay here and unless the price is right probably our last. Nothing here to get over excited to make a guest feel special. The snorkeling at the resort in in matched and one of the best. I would recommend this resort to a friend but I would also recommend many others that provided us with a warm welcome and a great Jamaican atmosphere. It's okay nothing more. It is not what it used to be. The RIU app saved the day. Room service was great, housekeeping acceptable. Something to note. Sandra the Sunwing rep remembered us after 10 years after our visit which we found truly amazing! The beach and pools were clean The grounds were clean, however a few coconuts fell from the trees which could had seriously injured someone. Staff not very friendly and seemed cold except for a few. Service and food presentation at a la carte restaurants need much improvements. To be pointed to your table is unacceptable, and all your food thrown on a plate like a stew even worse. 2 weeks stay with only finding 2 bartenders that made your drinks very good. Cranberry and sprit on ice is not a complicated drink but not many got it right. Sorry to say. The resort is nice but the friendly welcoming atmosphere is not present.

Jewel Paradise Cove: Lovely resort

The relative small size of the resort was very attractive to us . Yet it has everything we could have wished for . Nice rooms , great buffet and restaurants and very friendly people ! The grounds are beautiful and very well maintained. Swimming in the ocean not great but nice enough. Snorkeling in small area at one end of the resort is enjoyable with lots of fish . Loved the place !

Royalton Hideaway Blue Waters: Hideaway Blue waters Jamaica

Stayed in presidential diamond club suite. Beautiful clean room. Came with diamond club service. This was non existent. Other than having someone book your restaurants for you - there wasn't any other perks noted. it certainly is not what is advertised. So to answer your question is it worth the upgrade, my experience is that it is absolutely not. And yes I have booked diamond club in other countries/resorts. The beach is beautiful and grounds are gorgeous. The music the week we were there st [... read more]arted at 10 am until 5 pm around the pool and then most days started up across from our particular room around 6pm for wedding or gathering that was hosted for a specific group at that time. Then after the evening shows the sports bar would play music until 2am. I love music, however after 6 days of listening to music very loudly for basically all day and night - with the base up much higher than the music itself (which I think was the worst part of it) it was way too much. The music I felt was much louder than all other places I have gone to. There needs to be down time for some of us and I could not escape it as where my room was located. I could even hear the base when in bed in the night from the sports bar, with all doors closed. So if you are looking for any relaxation and quite time - this is not the place to go. I found that the service was very poor. It was very difficult to get service at just about any of the bars - and not because they were busy, there were issues with service with just about anywhere on the resort. I also found there to be rudeness. Honestly I have travelled to many countries and the lack of interest to serve someone I had not experienced before. It may be just the people during my visit that I ran into, as others have commented on excellent service. I felt that they just didn't care or seem to even want to be there. Overall I would not recommend this resort, yes it is beautiful and the accommodations were lovely however because of the service and value I feel that for the price paid $6200, I would certainly try somewhere different. Again this was just my experience, I don't consider myself to have high expectations

Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton: Huge resort

Hotel is very large, we averaged about 5-8km of walking per day. Going through immigration was painless and quick at the time we arrived. However, once past immigration trying to secure our shuttle to the resort was chaotic and unorganized. Check in at the resort was fast, accommodation was great (suite, garden view). Food in general was good, beaches are nice but quite compact and small and watch for sand fleas, my legs received lots of bites. My only complaint was that some staff at this  [... read more]resort clearly do not want to work there. Some staff were unapproachable and rude and some completely unhelpful. Biggest let down was our check out and the consistent expectation of a gratuity. We did not receive our email telling us what time our shuttle was leaving for the airport. We couldn’t find a rep all week to confirm and once checked out the front staff was completely unhelpful. I rate the resort a 7/10.

Ocean Coral Spring: Great Resort

Overall the resort was amazing. The only thing we would change is that the resort should have more outdoor umbrellas to provide shade, even in the children's area there were only two umbrellas. The food was great especially the Italian restaurant. Staff were friendly.
