Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: 2nd time at this resort and loved it even more!

Last year we stayed in an older "house" and while it was quite nice with a canopy over the bed and terra cotta everywhere, this time around the newly renovated house (#10) closer to the beach was gorgeous. Spotless! Decor all in beige and cream with ratan lighting, minimalist decor, very tidy. Staff was great, the odd grump but most were so kind and so welcoming. Breakfast was our favourite, omelette guy and smoothie girl were our highlights to start the day. Omelette guy would sing to us with a beautiful voice and smoothie girl was just the sweetest. Pick of 3 restaurants, we did seafood restaurant and loved. Mediterranean was so-so and Japanese was not so good. this time around we discovered the Bavaro next door (via beach) has a lunch buffet that we could also go to and it was very good. Amazing view and a great hostess Elisabetha. Beach was beautiful. Some days alot of seeweed so we would walk up the shore to swim. some days no seeweed and gorgeous clear water. We would go early each morning (6:30ish) to put towels on our chaise lounge other wise you would not have a good spot come 9 a.m. I'm pretty sure some people leave their towels on the lounges over night! It was worth it to see the sunrise each morning! We are not pool people but the pool areas always look like a lot of fun. Check in both years have been extremely slow and you can see a lot of peoples getting frustrated checking in, so be prepared for that and all will be great. Your'e in paradise, enjoy!

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Lovely intimate resirt

We liked that the resort was smallish so everything was close by. The beach was beautiful and the water was great. The food was good. The bar was very poorly stocked and they were all very inconsistent in the way they made drinks. The service in the restaurants was really not up to snuff. We kept having to remind them of our order. There were no stage shows, just some mediocre music in the lobby area. I’d say this is more like a 4 star. T

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: The best holiday ever!

The grounds are well manicured and so green. I love watching the the little critters roaming around. Our room was clean and comfortable. When our fridge wasn’t working properly, staff quickly replaced it for a new one. When our toilet was plugged, staff came in right away to fix it. The food was so good and tasty. There were lots of shelter chairs to choose from. Staff are extremely friendly, and funny. Enjoyed the gym every morning. Loved the store at Coba where 1/3 of merchandise is 70% off. Such a great deal! I cannot say enough about this resort. I would highly recommend it!???The location is the only negative thing about it. It’s a 1 hr. and 45 minute drive from airport to resort.They have to drop off people along the way too.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Loved it!

The resort had everything I was looking for. The beach was long for walks. The swimming areas in the ocean were super. I snorkelled right off the shore. Very good food in the alacarte restaurants. Entertainment was wonderful. Would recommend this resort.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Great Family Vacation!

We had a great time at the Bahia Principe Grand Punta Cana! Our room was awesome for the 5 of us! A family with three daughters needs two bathrooms! The resort was clean and well kept. The food was pretty good. The Indian A la carte restaurant (Thali) was our favourite!!! The entire staff was friendly and the entertainment was excellent! A great time enjoyed by all!

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Beautiful resort

All areas of resort clean. Availability of transport from rooms to locations was excellent by very courteous staff. Of course restaurant staff where welcoming and efficient.The only issue I had was the abundance of the long tailed animals and racoons. I believe they are starting to overwhelm the resort.

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Nice fun resort

Enjoyed our stay at this resort. Buffet was outstanding. Ala carte restaurants were very difficult to book due to the fact there were only 14 restaurants to accommodate this massive chain of resorts. Other than that, rooms were very nice. Next visit will be the Ambar at Bahia principe. Right on the beach and best for activities and entertainment.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Amazing resort!

WE had a great time and actually liked this resort more than where we were last year - Fantasia. There was more to do, lots of choices for food and lots of pool space with 5 pools. Not having to get up early and save a space at the pool was amazing. The beach is always the best. We upgraded to the beach villas that were recently renovated. They were lovely. My son loved the surf pool but it is not covered in the price of the resort. Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: A nice little getaway

We were surprised with a large room & huge balcony with an ocean view, which is not what we paid for, so pretty sweet! Multiple beaches to choose from with decent chair availability. Harder to get chairs around the main pool since it was the only pool where the bar/swimup bar was open. The other pool bar was kept closed, so you had to walk much further for your drinks. Not a huge deal, just inconvenient. Now, the only real issue we had, was with the privileged areas. They were always empty, both [... read more] around the pools and beaches, and they had their own bars with bartenders. You couldn't sit there or order drinks there because you didn't have the right wristbands. Which sucked because there were no privileged guest around to even take advantage of them. So the staff had to stand around all day, shoo away those who weren't privileged, and barely have anyone to serve. And it was very hot around the pool. I felt bad for them. Some of them looked miserable just sitting or standing around. I can understand those that paid a little extra for the service, but the place was way under capacity, so just seemed like a waste. Other than that, the place was always clean, food was really good, the people were amazing! No actual complaints from us. It's a very large place, so be prepared to do some walking to get around. But they do have little shuttles if needed. There's always food available. Even at 11pm, they open another buffet style restaurant over by the pool and are open until 6am. We took advantage of the a la cartes all 3 times and had really good meals. Entertainment was really good. We loved the live bands and musicians that played next to the sports bar in the evenings. Great shopping at the Bahia Village. They do bargain and do give decent deals in both American and Jamaican dollars. Ended up doing most of our souvenir shopping there. Our favorite beaches were over to the left of the hotel when facing the ocean. The beach next to the nude beach had a well equipped beach bar and washrooms which was very convenient. Bring some snorkel gear and you can see a lot of fish just around the resort itself. That part was great! Overall, we had a great vacation and would recommend this resort.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Comfortable

The resort on first approuch was excellent, front end staffing was top end along with all services to our villa. Resturants were clean,friendly and had good value for a all inclusive. Buffet was well staffed however at best in 10 days table service was less than desired and hot food was at best warm unless you waited for fresh turns. staffing in this area need more training to reduce running back and forth for item such as coffeemate as in Mexico cream seem to be unavailable. Room was comfortabl [... read more]e ,clean with great maid service however needs to be update as far as furnishing go to provide better comfort exspecially to linen blankets and towels. enjoyed our trip even through it was a little expensive to what we recieved.

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Lovely Stay

My trip was Dec 29-Jan 5/25, along with my two nieces. The complex is huge but there are always golf carts to take you to wherever you want on resort grounds. Food was great, whether it was buffet or a la carte. My niece has fish allergies but she was her own advocate and had a Spanish note to provide each food manager - each manager was prepared and on the ball! We helped ourselves to clean towels from the linen room on our floor. The beach walks were the best! Our resort had a postage stamp area allocated for loungers. Not that wide but deep. It was quite crammed which isn't my style but hey, the weather was great and the beer was cold so it was all good! Catamaran excursion is definitely worth it and an afternoon visit to Chez Nicole is a must!

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Bahiz Principe Luxury Akumal Wedding Experience

The property is stunning. Entering through an avenue of beautiful foliage, to an impressive entry and spacious lobby, check-in was efficient and friendly. The room was clean, attractive and well-serviced. The villa area was quiet and beautifully landscaped, with lots of birds and wildlife.Buffet and réassurants were excellent, with good variety and quality of meals offered. Entertainment was excellent, if rather loud. The beach areas were clean, with plentiful shade areas. The beaches the [... read more]mselves tend to be rocky, requiring water shoes, but one particular lagoon had spectacular snorkelling. There could be more towel stations, as I was only aware of one. Pools are beautiful and refreshing, i enjoyed the quiet pool and Adult area. Staff were consistently friendly, pleasant and efficient. Room service was excellent, although food sélection and quality were only moderate. The wedding was beautiful and appeared perfect (I was not involved in the planning) The resort is huge, requiring .a lot of transport on small trolleys, which were comfortable and frequent. Even so, there is considerable walking Activities and the staff were excellent, with a wide variety, and great animators. In all, and excellent property, and I look forward to my next visit!

Bahia Principe Escape Samana: Decent resort

Grounds are nice and well maintained. Staf is caring and welcoming. Rooms are running down, need facelift. In our room on 4th floor 425 we woke up in the middle of the night from strong strikes of damaged roof during strong wind. When we changed the room to 419, we found out that bath tub there is leaking.

Bahia Principe Explore La Romana: Non-stop noise

This was our first time staying at a resort, usually we explore a country independently. Trip central was super helpful and organized. The resort Bahia Precipe has beautiful buildins, gardens and pools, is well run and safe. The staff are professional, friendly, pleasant and helpful, the hotel's best asset. However, I am allergic to most of the food that was served and the resort did not seem able to accommodate food differences such as lactose intolerance and vegetarian diets. There was a lot o [... read more]f cross contamination between for example pork and other foods. There was entertainment every night. It was loud and mostly USA music, commercial and not authentic to the Dominican . We would have loved to attend a workshop in the first few days presenting Dominican culture, history, geography, economy and politics... We went on 2 off resort excursions where some of this information was presented by very knowledgeable guides (but with too much focus on Columbus and stops at cheap souvenir shops). Our main concern is the level of noise on the resort. It's almost impossible to get away from the noise. Loud music is constantly blasted from multiple locations simultaneously. Although a beautiful resort, the noise is why we will probably not visit this resort again.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Great experience again

Second time in just under a year. We had another great trip for 10 days. Food, service, drinks, room and Grounds were just as before. There was a small amount of construction but the impact was kept to a minimum.

Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Great place to go

We really enjoyed staying at this resort. Everything was central. There was transport around the resort which is very important to us. The beach was very calm so easy to get in and out of. Food was good. Needed more bartenders. Certainly would recommend this resort to everyone and we will be returning.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Spacious Resort

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 week stay at Bahía Principe Grand Coba. The staff handled our problems with broken fridge promptly. The central buffet was wonderful. We travelled to other Bahía Principe Akumul and Tulum which were close by. The small golf style buses made getting around the expansive properties easy. We did however encounter some challenges getting our transfer transportation to the resort on arrival. We recommend you look for Nexus personnel in orange when you arrive and tell the [... read more]m where you are going. They will take you to the correct area to wait for your bus. tripcentral.ca were very easy to interact with and provided tour information prior to our departure.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Amazing!

A most enjoyable location and atmosphere. The staff are all terrific. I often noticed how clean and well-maintained the grounds are. Huge, beautiful vegetation everywhere. Food is terrific, lots of choices. Beaches are beautiful (except for a few rocky spots). I would encourage anyone to visit this resort.

Bahia Principe Escape Samana: Wonderful quiet resort

The resort was very peaceful to start with. The rooms were large and spacious. To bad that the outdoor bar by the front lobby was closed it would have been a great place for an evening drink in the cool of the night. The food was really good, could have used more than two reservations for the week. All in all it was a good experience in Samana at the Bahia Principe Grand Samana

This is a wonderful resort to stay at. The all the staff was friendly and helpful, excellent food and very clean. I was very happy we were at this chain of resorts again. Thanks for the wonderful week
