The rooms were clean, maid came in daily to clean.. We enjoyed the adult only pool in block 5. It was difficult getting into a la cart for dinner. Good experience when we could book. Most Evening shows were interesting. Mostly in Spanish though

We love the Royal Decameron, Puerto Vallarta. This has been our 6th time at this resort and each time we are met with friendly staff, great food and just a relaxing, enjoyable week. It’s our home away from home 😊 We are never disappointed! I would highly recommend you give it a try.

Enjoyed our recent stay at this resort very much. Have stayed here twice before but found this time that the food was quite improved. Grounds and roooms have always been beautifully maintained and cared for. Staff is always friendly and helpful.

Decameron Los Cocos Guayabitos Ramada: Amazing time!

This was our first time to this resort. Staff were amazing! They were friendly and always available to help even if their English was not so good. We went on a TranSat tour of a little coffee plantation, a leather factory, a OLD Catholic church while in Compostela. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Drove thru the mountains, stopped at a fruit stand, and ice cream shop and ate at a mexican restaurant in Compostela. We went on the resort's catamaran, rented a seadoo [... read more] from someone on the beach ($40US or 700 pesos), swam in the ocean, enjoyed the buffet meals, walked a lot exploring the little town of Rincon de Guayabitos and all its little shops. Enjoyed the true Mexican town while staying at a resort, much better than going to a large resort where everything is totally cement, manmade, and 'perfect'. The market in Guayabitos takes place each Monday. Prices are often up to double for the same item that you will find at a little shop on the street. Vendors at the little shops will often lower their prices that day. When buying vanilla go to the grocery store (145 pesos for a 1 litre) rather than buying at the market (300 pesos) or buying at the airport (double that yet or more!) The resort was very clean, weather was perfect, ocean was warm for swimming, and the food was good!

The resort is beautiful, very busy at the pools by the beach, but there is an adult pool up the hill that was great. No problem with only one room key (but you can get another one for a $15.00 deposit, and refund if you keep your receipt apparently) Lobby 3 was for (gold) people but anyone could go there and listen to the music in the evenings, but if you were not gold you had to have a plastic glass compared to a glass one (sort of silly, because you could have a glass one in the other lobby)  [... read more]Lobby 2, should have more places to sit, no music or anything there, but would be nice to sit and play a game or something. Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Good and bad

Did not get building we requested, after being there 5 times, wanted one by the beach and got the one farthest away from the beach. Food was okay, never hot, and no more meat carving stations. There were more loungers so didn't need to get up super early to reserve although many people still did. Lots of activities. Had a medical problem day we were leaving and was treated well by dr, the nurse was very caring, and the Transat staff helped my husband and went above and beyond, wish I got his [... read more] name but I was not doing well.

Grand Decameron Panama: Good to great resort

The resort is nice and big. Lots of places to walk without going off resort. Lots of steps and hills so not good for people with mobility issues. Food is good. Wine is drinkable but not great. Rooms are plain and simple. No pop or beer in fridge. We did get bottled water everyday. In lobbie 3, unless you are gold , the drinks come in plastic glasses which l thought was different. Grand Decameron Los Cabos: Small resort packs a punch !

Royal Decameron has a unique vide ! Very friendly , something always happening , the social directors Mayo & Rudolph work endlessly to keep you busy & entertained. If you so choose. The front desk staff Serafin & Bruno kept me informed with all their local knowledge. José in the pool side restaurant is a consummate profession server , and Erik at the buffet was on top of every whim. Joselin the lifeguard kept us safe 🤪 Omar kept us hydrated. 🍹& happy ! Grand Decameron Montego Beach: Good Resort

The staff were great, food was good and the location of the hotel was amazing. The biggest issue was the room would run out of hot water and the water would shut off for up to 20 mins while showering.

Decameron Los Cocos Guayabitos Ramada: Wonderful time

We were pleasantly surprised of this resort..quaint smaller town..beautiful beaches...gorgeous bay for full time ocean swimming...never too windy...more than enough things to do The resort itself was extremely clean..had entertainment every nite as well as different intervals during each day...staff were wonderful...helpful and just beautiful people We're looking to return for a longer time next year

Grand Decameron Panama: Did a round two at this resort

My husband and I came back again this year. There were new owners this year. Pretty much the same as last year. Except now they've created a plus service and limited pool use Lobby use and bar use which is not very clearly identified and made for confusion. Overall a pleasant stay, clean and the food was still good as usual. Improvement could be made on entertainment but was good. Big Resort lots of walking. Overall stay was great.

Overall this resort was great . The beach was good , pools great , cleanliness excellent , staff ...beyond amazing .The resort ,as reported on many sites , has many stairs/hills to climb . These after a week became a burden . The restaurants for the most part were ok . We upgraded to the gold bracelet giving us access to the Kontiki restaurant and nearby buffet restaurant .The food at both was excellent as was the service (Viviene?). Now to the best part of the resort .The staff were AMAZING!!! We incurred an injury to 1 member of our group early on in the week .The staff couldn't have done more to help .From a rushed trip to the hospital with 2 accompanying staff (medical aid (life guard ,name unknown and translator (Roberto)) to a van driver (name unknown)the next day going above and beyond driving us to hell and back to get medical supplies , to staff assisting with all our needs the rest of the week . Our side trips were a hit and miss . The Anton Valley trip is a "skip it " as is the "snorkeling/fishing " trip . Parasailing was fun . The trip ,which for me as a nature enthusiast was A#1 don't miss was the aerial tram and monkey island trip ; Would I suggest this resort .Yes with a few added cautionary notes

Grand Decameron Panama: Nice resort

This hotel had very nice grounds, pools, dining areas. The room was spacious, clean, and the bathroom was very good. We were glad to have been recommended the ocean view plus (gold bracelet) room in a quiet part of the resort because we like a quiet, relaxing holiday. The other areas of the resort seemed more congested and busier.

We just returned from our vacation and during our time My mom had some health issues - the resort and its staff went above and beyond to accommodate her physical needs. All members of the staff were friendly helpful and accommodating. This is a huge resort and isn’t an easy place to navigate if you have mobility issues. Grand Decameron Montego Beach: absolutely loved this resort

I pretty much loved everything about this resort and can't wait to go back. The staff are so friendly and fun. Food was delicious (could work on keeping food in the trays hot would be my only complaint). The hip strip has so much going on and is right there. I never once felt unsafe. Loved this place.

Grand Decameron Panama: Not your typical quiet getaway resort

This hotel did many things right...beach, pools, food, etc. BUT, every night the disco blasted out very loud music from 11 pm to 3 am. Everyone complained, got the same answer...we have to have it because we advertise it. Despite the fact that there was no one there. Definitely a consideration if you like quiet and enjoy your sleep.

Grand Decameron Cornwall Beach: What a gem

Love the location and all oceanfront rooms. Food was delicious, resort was clean and staff friendly. Rooms were modern with flat screen tv, bathroom was large with rain head shower and maid did an excellent job. So convenient being right on the hip strip.

1 - No Bathroom towels on many days. 2 - Rooms cleaned one day by 11am and then for several days not until late in the afternoon. One day we came back to the room at 4:30pm, the room was not done so at 5:30pm my wife made the beds and tidy up. The maid came in 10 minutes later saw the beds made and left. 3 - Numerous days they had no clean beach towels. 4 - Very disappointed to find out we were sold a vacation package telling us of all the areas we could use only to find out when we arrived t [... read more]hat we could not use the complete facility as one area had been delegated for person with silver, gold or platinum wrist bands. 5 - One pool was used every day for a group of vacationer's from France. 6 - Staff who do not speak the English language. If Air Transat wants to bring more people from Canada, then the staff need to at least speak some English. 7 - My wife is allergic to Garlic and wears a medic alert bracelet. We took the time before going to have her allergies translated to Spanish as we have done on numerous vacations in the past only to be told by staff at the buffet's when handed the piece on paper with the translation, NO. End of conversation. At the a la cartes, was even better. In our group was a couple who have been going to this resort fro 10 years and one of the spoke Spanish well enough for the staff to understand. They still could not get one meal for my correct. The most incompetent people I have ever come across. 8 - If this resort only wishes to cater to Colombians then so be it but if yourselves and Air Transat are going to offer and push this resort then the resort's management needs to seriously bring the level of service much higher. This resort is not even a 2 in my mind. 9 - On 2 different days there was no hot water from before 7am and 5:30pm 10 - Our friends were very embarrassed as they have talked up this place for years and to have this service they were also not pleased. Especially since they spend 6 weeks there in the winter. I know for a fact that the 3 couples we were with were not happy with the resort, the food and the service especially with what happen everyday with my wife. We would never recommend this resort to anyone and have been telling our friends who have asked. For the amount we paid, it certainly was not worth it

Grand Decameron Montego Beach: Our home away from home

We are repeat guests at Royal Decameron Montego Beach. We love the staff and we love the location. The resort provides a great variety of entertainment and nightly shows ... love that!!! We have been vacationing in Montego Bay for over 11 years now and it took some time but we believe we have found our home away from home at Royal Decameron Montego Beach. As we noted in our comments when leaving the resort, we plan on coming back time and time again. The few suggestions that we made were  [... read more]that they need to keep up on their maintenance around the resort as it has slipped a bit, keep it up and keep it beautiful. Better wine selection as the white house wine was not very good at all. Also if repairs are being done and water needs to be shut off temporarily the hotel should let the guests know so that they do not come back to their rooms and find out at the last minute that the toilet will not flush and their is no water for a shower. We also wanted to mention that it was disappointing that so many Cornwall Guest took over so many of the beach chairs beside the Grill Restaurant, it made it very difficult for Montego Beach Guests to get a chair and relax in the smaller main beach area they are provided with, especially since the Cornwall side has such a big beach area and several chairs available to them on the Cornwall side. I understand they have full use of both sides and that we have use of their beach area but as I said it was very difficult to get a chair unless up at 6:30 am and we were their for 15 days and had this issue every day. Just a few little call outs but overall we love this place. We look forward to going back to Royal Decameron Montego Beach again next year and many more years to come. Grand Decameron Los Cabos: Royal Decameron San Jose Del Cabo

Had a great time at this hotel.enjoyed the smallness of the hotel,proximity to San Jose,shopping across the street and wonderful beach.Food was excellent with a good variety.Went on the Plus Program and were very happy with our room,the fact that we could have breakfast on the beach everyday and didn’t require reservations to the A La Carte supper.The staff was excellent in all areas of the hotel.It fit all our needs.
