Hotel Los Cactus: Beautiful Beach!

We stayed at Breezes Varadero in July of 2015. The rooms at this resort are in need of upgrading, however, they are clean and well maintained. More importantly, air conditioning in Cuba in July is a must, and our air conditioner in our room always provided us the needed break from the heat. Our sons' bought baseball gloves and there was ample room on the beach to throw the ball without getting in anyones way. The Food - this was my first trip to Cuba and I read several reviews about the food at the resorts not being very good, I hate to tell you this, but it is true. At the resort's the food is not very good, however, if you book a reservation at one of their a lacarte restaurants, the food is much better. Also, Breezes is only a few kms from the town of Varadero, and the food at the local restaurant's is quite good.....well worth the trip. There is a nightclub called The Beatles. The club is outdoors and has live music. The band we saw was really good, we had a lot of fun. My husband and I travelled with our two sons, 21 and 24 years of age, and we really enjoyed ourselves. The WestJet staff was very helpful setting up our tours. A trip to Havana is a must, it was well worth booking the overnight tour. Some people at the resort negotiated a day rate with the taxi drivers, this is something we will do next time we go.

Nice areas , beautiful vegetation and views, clean , nice attention . Food poor quality except for the fruits. Exceptional beaches and everybody so friendly. Excellent attention from the plain as well and all really well organized. No mayor complains at all.

Breezes Bahamas: Great value

This hotel was a great value , the beach was great, the staff was wonderful, the grounds where beautiful. The rooms need some update. The first room the safe did not work and there was no shower Handel. We brought it to the hotel staff and they upgraded us right away. Great time and a inexpensive way to go to the Bahamas

Jewel Runaway Bay Resort: Great Family Resort!!!

Great family friendly resort, well maintained, with the nicest staff!!! For a smaller resort the food was fantastic!! Japanese Restaurant was fun and interactive and was the only a la carte that required a reservation and no restrictions on how many times you can dine at any a la carte. Most restaurants were open air with a beautiful view of the ocean. The waterpark was a blast for all ages and there is an infinity pool with swim up bar with either view of ocean or mountains. Another pool is adj [... read more]acent to the buffet which is deeper (lots of pool noodles available to float around with!!) Snorkelling is great off the beach....lots of fish and coral to look at! Rooms were modern and decent size and wifi throughout the resort. Activities going on constantly for either kids or adults. Had a blast!

Hotel - Really nice Beach - Very nice - beautiful Coral reefs and Fish right at your access Pool - Very Nice Groove - VERY QUIET Staff - Very helpful and friendly Food - REALLY TERRIBLE!!!! Really too bad- thats the major reason that I would not return

Memories Jibacoa: Memories

Nice, small and silent resort, with acceptable accommodation, friendly staff, good sport activities – even for “crocodiles” and nice entertainments. For us food and service were excellent. Beach is sandy and shadowed by trees with stones in entrance in water but with nice spots for snorkeling, no motor boat activities. Summary, excellent place for snorkeling and relax, only care when you exchange money.

Memories Jibacoa: Lovein'it as always!

This is our 4th time visit Jibacoa. The BEST thing about Jibacoa, aside from the 4.5 stars facility and environment (best snorkeling location), is friendly staff. Friendly and warm smiles are the main reasons that attract me to keep returning this little paradise, Jabacoa. I sincerely look forward for my next visit in 2016.

The resort is currently in transition from one owner to another. However every effort is being made to maintain the high standards that customers have come to expect. Those high standards are still being maintained.I will be back next year.

Hotel Los Cactus: The Beach Was Awesome

The hotel and resort itself was very nice, clean and well kept. The room was beautiful the air condition worked well. We stayed in a suite but it was well worth it, very spacious. I am a female and I was very happy with my room lol. As a young couple it was pretty quiet, there wasn't much nightly entertainment. Nobody attended the disco at night and the entertainment was not that good. Hotel Los Cactus: Resort Nice But Starved - Do not go to this resort

Resort was well maintained and nice. Beds where uncomfortable but most important the food was disgusting, unpalatable and unhygienic. We starved and had to go out via taxi there and back to eat every meal but one. As such this cost us another $100.00 a day for two people. Thought that with a 4.5 star hotel the food would be tolerable

Hotel Bella Costa: Amazing resort

The hotel is actually beyond our expectations, we read all the reviews about the hotel and other hotels, most of them complaining about hotel room condition and food, but after we arrived, we are quiet surprised the cleaness of the room and variety of food, the hotel staffs are very friendly, the beach is definitely nowhere to compare, enjoyed the whole stay.

I had a great time at Breezes Varadero. This was my first trip to Cuba and I was not disappointed overall. The check in process was smootly, I did not like the bag person because since we did not have luggage he wasnt corteous to us and wouldn't assist in where the rooms were located. I went alone and met fantastic people on the resort and even on the bus ride to the resort. My room was great I had room 638 and it was magnificent. Overall, I had a fantastic trip and I am glad I ventured into Cuba alone, next time I will go into Havana.

We loved everything about this place. The place itself; rooms were awesome, restaurants are great, bars (what a blast!) and the beaches. Who could not forget what they saw on the beach... Really, really awesome place!

Enjoyed the beach. Rooms a little dated. Restaurants nice buffet so so. Friendly staff. Pool show best. Piano bar a highlight. Havana a must see and also the jeep ride was fun. Overall what we were expecting.

Rooms were good furniture was ok the dresser was very old but it's ok I wish I had coffee in my room every day but the ladies that took care of my room they made it up at the end. The only thing about the restaurant was too hot couldn't stay too long even to watch the shows it was too hot Amazing shows.

Sunscape Curacao Resort: Good resort

This resort is nicely located a short bus ride from down town Willemstad. The bus ride is $1.50 while a cab ride is $15- and takes just as long. The rooms were large and clean although the cleaning during the week was not as thorough as we would have liked. The beach was small but safe and clean while the break wall makes for easy swimming and or snorkeling right in front of the hotel. Memories Jibacoa: Great Resort and Beach!

This was a great resort! The rooms are very nice and the grounds were kept immaculate. They had very nice entertainment and poolside activities like salsa dancing lessons, etc. It tends to be mostly couples although there was a small percentage of singles.The staff are friendly and pleasant. I found it to be a great value and had a wonderful time.

Hotel Los Cactus: Amazing beach, great holiday, great resort

The beach is like no other beach in Varadero. The resort is great too but the only negative side is that the lobby and the buffet room are not air conditioned. It is very easy to see black birds picking on food or standing on food. Or flies on food. We would go again to this awesome resort but maybe not in June, because June is their rain season and rain brought the mosquitos out and was their breeding time. We loved our stay, our room was gorgeous with great ocean view, two bathrooms and living room. The ladies at the reception were great, also Miguel was very helpful by the reception. Thanks Trip Central for providing us with a great site to be able to narrow down our choices and find the resort and price and information we needed. Food also was great, we had fresh caught fish every day. I think the food was awesome for healthy eating, lots of veggie choices and their mangos are to die for.. We will go to Breezes Varadero again for sure.

Hotel Los Cactus: Hotel with a Beautiful Beach

The hotel is clean, with a nice pool and a beautiful beach. Staff are generally curtious with good manner. Landscaping is great with lots of shades under the bright sunlight. Lots of fresh fruits available at the buffet restaurant and free drinks can be obtined around the pool, near the beach and in many locations along the paths around the hotel. I love the coffee at the coffee bar.
