Brisas Sierra Mar: Loved it

My husband and I visited this resort from Dec 17 to 24th. We had a great time - the grounds are lovely, the food was quite good with enough variety to satisfy. Staff were friendly and helpful and the entertainment in the lobby and at the beach restaurant was great.

Brisas Guardalavaca: Relaxing vacation

Cubana airlines a definite improvement over Canadian airlines. Hola tours can be recommended , especially for the catamaran side trip included with thier package. Hotel checkin was quite slow, but otherwise service was prompt. Maid service was very good, we left gifts and tips most days. Fridge was nice in the room, but only stocked with one bottle of water on arrival, would be nice to have refilled and have beer and soft dricks as well. Stayed in the hotel section which had us close to everythi [... read more]ng, the villas section would have meant a lot of walking to where ever we wanted to go. The villa pool being shallower was quite busy with children, the hotel pool was deeper, great for swimming. The swimup bar were great but was also the closest to the beach, the beach not having a bar. There were several times on the beach we were served drinks by the "beach bartender" A couple of the bars do have "international drinks" if you get tired of the local rum and cervesa. Minor problems with our room regarding the air conditioner and a leaky fridge but these were fixed within an hour. Beach was beautiful, very clean water and low waves even on a windy day. Always able to find a lounge chair on the beach, and plenty available around the pool. The food was good but not up to standards of other resorts we have been to. Beef and pork was always chewy, not much of a menu change from day to day, but no need to go hungry, enough of a variity to staisfy most people. The fruit was not ripe enough, might be out of season. In total we would recommend this resort for the value. To get 5 star rating you have to pay a 5 star price. John and Valerie

Brisas Sierra Mar: This is a very friendly resort.

Love the location of the resort with the mountains and the ocean. The view is fantastic even if you are on the pool or on the beach. The gardens are beautiful and well kept. and the staff is amazing and very friendly.

Brisas Santa Lucia: Beautiful vacation!

Apart from the accommodations, which are in need of an update/renovation, everything else was beautiful...we had an amazing time. I have to acknowledge also the entertainment team and also the Rancho King excursion (the tour guide Vicente is very professional and totally amazing person). Will be back!

Brisas Santa Lucia: A great kitesurfing vacation

This was my first time in Cuba. I was there mainly to kitesurf and the conditions we wonderful. A beautiful sandy beach, nice flat, clear water and steady wind. The hotel was nice especially considering the price. My room was clean and well maintained. The food was also pretty good, lots of variety. The flight and transport to the hotel also went perfectly smoothly.

Amazing value for money. Food was plentiful and excellent. Service friendly and professional. Our room overlooked the ocean and was very clean and large. Staff went out of their way to make everyone feel at home very warm and thiughtful.

Brisas Sierra Mar: great resort for relaxing vacation

very clean, friendly staff,one of the best place's i been to in cuba. and i have done a lot. it's better for older folks but lot's of stair's and elevators old and breakdown quite often. not much for kids to do. set in mountains so views are exelant. could offer more in ways of day trips but would be expensive because of where it's placed but over all a great resort.

Brisas Sierra Mar: Awesome Resort!!!!!!!!

I luved the resort, it had everythg any one would want. Shopping and the food was so good I gained weight I hate to admit. I even watched them roast a pig and Im not a ham eater but it tasted just like chicken was so amazing. I even had a mud bath and felt like a new person after did my arthritics good too. The mountain view is speechless and the pools and beach so relaxing. The staff and workers were so helpful I needed extra pillows were in my room before could get back after going to front de [... read more]sk. They gave us shampoo and soap and even toothbrushes in case we forgot somethg. They had entertainment every nite even a magician who was just like David Copperfield that good. Well I tell you a resort worth going to twice.

Brisas Sierra Mar: Amazing Time!

Staff and guests made this a great trip! Resort was quiet which meant no line ups at the buffet and no need to worry about securing your favorite chaise at the pool! There is a a place to eat great food across the street from the resort called Oceano... Wait staff are extremely hospitable and the good is great!

Memories Trinidad Del Mar: Quiet and comfortable.

This hotel is one of three on the Ancon Peninsula. It is a twenty minute bus ride to Trinidad. The hotel is very accommodating in every way. From time time to time there was no hot water pressure but the cold water was fine for showering. Trinidad is a must see for the music at Casa de Musica. If you are a resort whiner, just stay home. I was very happy with this resort. Great for seniors. Make sure to fly into Cenfuegos not Santa Clara which is too far away.

Memories Trinidad Del Mar: Had a great time as always

Love Cuba, it's people and the culture. This resort is on my list as a must travel to, the staff are friendly and always willing to help ensure you have a great time. Osmany (PR Manager) is one of the best PRs I've known and ensures you have a vacation to remember.

Brisas Sierra Mar: Beautiful natural setting :brisas sierra mar

nature setting -mountains and sea is truly fantastic, staff very friendly, food good, a bit repetitive, weather perfect every day. Beach small with rugged entry, but perfect swimming after 30m. All kayaks damaged and useless

Brisas Guardalavaca: Best bang for the buck!

Great value from this beautiful venue, The service was great across the board. I did find that tipping was acknowledged and appreciated, although not expected. Lots of activities to entertain yourself without paying for any excursions. Great for all ages. Young or old there is something for everyone. For the money, you can't beat this place. Many other guests told me they have vacationed here for twenty to thirty times. I can see why! I travelled with a group the last week of October. The resort [... read more] was not busy at all during this time period. I would be curious to see if the service would be diluted when they operate at full capacity. It might be worth my while returning just to find this out!

Brisas Sierra Mar: okay resort

beautiful surroundings, staff were very good, food was not good with same bland foods served every day. (told that it would improve in high season), recreation staff were very good, entertainment was very good in piano bar.

Resort was good clean and friendly. Food was good but could be repetitive at times. Not a resort for people with limited mobility. Resort has lots of stairs and a elevator that will work off and on. However its always entertaining. I will definitely return here again in the future and would recommend it to most people.

Brisas Guardalavaca: Fabulous!

Awesome place. They are improving on their maintenance. The Cuban people are kind generous and helpful. The ala carte restaurants were excellent. Many little bars, tea area, cappuccino area hidden within the resort. As a always check your change because they can try to give regular pesos. Get a receipt and have your calculator at hand when exchanging money because it is not always accurate. They will take USD but it costs them 20 cents on the dollar to exchange so they prefer CUCs.

Brisas Guardalavaca: Wonderful...as always!

September/October 2015 I recently returned to a long time favourite and again, did not disappoint. Enjoyed wonderful meals at the buffet and a la carte restaurants. Great room in the Villa section which gave us quick access to the pool, hotel and beach. My only issue during the week was with Guest Services...little tiring when you have to constantly remind you are a 'repeat' guest....this trip was probably my 15th/16th return although even after my conversation with Guest Services and providing  [... read more]past travel dates (again!!) nothing was done other than to agree to a late checkout !!!! All in all terrific week and definitely will be returning in the near future.
