This is a great resort! Excellent service, very clean, nice beach, pools, grounds, bars & restaurants! The food was great for every meal! Totally satisfied ! Thank You ! What more do you want me to say?

Windjammer Landing: great resort!

Super friendly staff. Great service. Good beach. Amazing food a drinks! Would go back fo sure.amazin island. Recommend getti out of exploring. We did the Land and Sea exscursion and it was worth it. If you like Jerk or Cajun anything than St Lucia is the place to go!

Bay Gardens Hotel: We would definatly return...

My wife and I are seasoned travelers having stayed at everything from the Ritz Carlton down to simple B&B's. The Bay Gardens Hotel was everything that we were hoping for. A small property in the heart of Rodney Bay , yet still a quiet and tranquil retreat. Several small buildings nestled around three separate pools with nicely manicured grounds. There is only one restaurant but it is very open and nice situated next to the main pool/ bar and center courtyard gardens. Thursday night was the Manag [... read more]er's cocktail party with complimentary drinks and snacks. A nice touch to meet and interact with all the staff. This is a small resort but very comfortable. Lots of dining options or grocery stores within a ten minute walk of the Hotel. The beach is an easy 10-15 minute walk or 15-20 minute walk to the Bay Gardens Resort were you can use the chairs, order drinks ect and charge it back to your room . There is also an hourly free shuttle if you ordered one too many of those drinks. There is also a water taxi next to the resort if you want to go over to Pigeon Point / Island or the local bus gets you pretty close as well. Staff is friendly, helpful, polite and courteous. In summary if we return to Rodney Bay we will stay here again>

Secrets St. Lucia Resort and Spa: Beautiful resort

We loved this resort... from the stunning vistas, consistently excellent food in both buffet and a la carte restaurants to all inclusive water sports, it was all top notch and definitely a resort we would like to return to! We also enjoyed a fantastic excursion on the hotel's catamaran to the Pitons and mud bath. A little piece of paradise!

Staff was amazing. Food was exceptional. Rooms were clean. Best vacation to date. The only resort I would ever return to. It's a must for anyone that's looking to vacation in the carribean. The people make the resort!

Rex St Lucian: Nice Resort

The Rex is a nice small hotel. The staff are pleasant, rooms are clean and the food is good. The location is fantastic. Our kids enjoyed the beach and the pool. The resort has a cottage feel which we appreciate.

Rex St Lucian: GOOD FOR PRICE

Room was spacious with a big balcony, but bathroom requires a facelift. Hotel was clean and the personnel was nice. Sea has almost no waves and you can swim like in a pool. Some nights there was too much noise until 2 am from outside the resort. Once there was no water for a few hours and once there was no power for an hour or two.

I read reviews about how willing and polite the staff were....never believed it would be so true! This is a lovely location. The views are stunning. Staff beyond accomodating. Did not want to leave! They work hard at correcting anything that folks might complain about. They, while we were there changed the dinner reservation system due to complaints and you can now book a week at a time instead of just 3 days. Windjammer Landing: Worth a look!

The rooms were clean, but ours was basic. The only complaint about the room was they promised adjacent for my adult children but did not deliver. Food was generally very good, but signing for everything was a pain. Water sports excellent. Beach ok. A bit too quiet for a younger crowd.

Secrets St. Lucia Resort and Spa: Great time at St. James Club Morgan Bay!

In 23 winters of heading south this is only the second time we've returned to a resort. Our first visit was as a couple. This time it was as a party of seven ranging in age from 9 to 79. Five top things about St. James Club Morgan Bay: 1. The food. It was a tossup between the top two. But with seven different travellers all raving about the food, it had to rank first. We ate at the buffet and all of the a la carte restaurants and were always delighted by the variety and quality of the food on [... read more] offer. It's great that they have so many authentic St. Lucian foods on the menus as well. 2. The service/staff. Virtually tied for first, would be the wonderful staff and the service they provide. Polite, friendly and fun, they all seemed to genuinely want us to enjoy our time on their island and at their resort. There are too many standout staff to even begin naming them individually. 3. The gym. Wow, what an improvement over 17 months ago. They closed it for renovations the week we first visited. The new gym is more than twice the size of the old one and shows a real commitment to helping people keep in shape during their stay. 4. Water Sports. They have invested in more new equipment since our last visit, and they still have wonderful staff who seem to want you to make the most of your stay. We enjoyed paddle boarding, catamaran trips, snorkeling and several banana boat rides. All the staff were great, but Johnny was a standout. 5. The coffee shop. Combines the great food and service all in one spot. They serve a nice selection of hot and cold beverages along with some sweet treats and a few hot ones (if they have beef patties that day try them - they're amazing!). It's a great spot to relax for a few minutes in your day. The not so good... Really the biggest complaint has to be the method for booking restaurants. You seem to need to line up for an hour at 8 in the morning if you have any hope of getting the time you want in the a la carte restaurant of your choice. I did it a couple of mornings but then gave up after that. As others were heard to say in the line "no food is worth this kind if lineup." And I agreed with them. One very tiny complaint involves the setup in one bedroom suites. If the sofa bed is pulled out, then you can't get into the fridge. If the fridge was moved to the opposite end of the commode it is in, then you could access it more easily. Overall, it was another great stay at St. James Club Morgan Bay.

Secrets St. Lucia Resort and Spa: Lot's to Like

Stayed for a week. Had an oceanfront room and the sunsets and the sound of the surf at night was terrific. Room was nice and clean (staff kept it that way) but the shower a little wonky. The resort was quite busy but wait times in main restaurant were reasonable. Booking the a la carte restaurants was difficult and we could not get decent reservation times. Food at all restaurants was very good. Staff was very fun and accommodating but move at a little slower Caribbean pace. Pools were great but [... read more] beach wasn't the clear blue water that we expected. Great sports and fitness facilities. Day excursion on the Calypso Cat was a highlight as was the Wednesday Beach Party (not to be missed). Ride from the airport is an adventure - best to just close your eyes. We would return to this resort.

Rex Papillon: great time

The hotel,rooms, food , and resort in general were fantastic. Small and easy to get around. The people working there were great! St Lucia is beautiful and you can walk down the street outside the resort with no problem.

Rex St Lucian: Wonderful resort

The hotel is just the right size if you're going for relaxation. The food was a single buffet but that's all you needed. The food was great. The food was always covered, which I really appreciated. No one touching it with their dirty hands or sneezing on things. The beach was great. We walked it every day. Oh and the pool was nice and warm from the sun, but the hot tub was ICE cold because it was in the shade:)...The entertainment was fun, especially country singer and the people that stuck flam [... read more]es in their mouth...OMG...I have nothing but praise for the hotel.

Bay Gardens Hotel: Great small hotel with a large presence

The Bay Gardens Hotel was an excellent choice for our last minute winter getaway. Aside from the very reasonable cost of our trip, we were totally amazed at how beautifully maintained the grounds were. Although the rooms are somewhat dated, they were very clean. The staff are the best I have ever encountered anywhere - the fact that there was no language barrier probably helped. The breakfast that was included was better than we expected. Always fresh fruit available and eggs cooked to order. The restaurant was very good and not overly pricey. We did save some money by walking 5 minutes to one of 2 grocery stores. The one near the Royal Bank is better. We only stayed one week and will definitely be back.

Secrets St. Lucia Resort and Spa: A Little Disappointed

After a long flight and long bus ride to be greeted by a less than friendly staff member who was to check us in things didn't get off to s good start. She handed me a form to fill out requesting a credit card number be written down. First off this is the first all inclusive resort I've been to that has asked for a credit card so I was a little taken a back and for it to be written down I think not. I told them I would swipe my card and only do a 100.00 pre authorization not the $372.00 US they w [... read more]anted. We were travelling with a group of 10 and they felt the same was sufficient. Upon arriving in our room we unpacked and looked around the room. The fridge was empty no ice bucket or info on how to get your fridge stocked with water or pop. One call to the front desk told us that they don't provide any beverages in the rooms. Is that not part of all inclusive? The property is lovely but should be noted it's not for people with mobility issues there's a lot of steep walkways and stairs. The restaurant situation is interesting you have to line up at 8:00 am to choose you restaurant for 3 dinners with the exception of one the Tree Top was worth doing do for. The Morgan's Pier which was supposed to be seafood was disappointing. The Bamboo al la carte was nothing special. I didn't go on vacation to spend time lining up for dinner reservations. Getting drinks from some staff members was almost an inconvenience. I asked for a slice of lime for a Sprite and with a big bag of both limes and lemons on the bar was told he couldn't find a knife. I will give a mention that Kevin at the bar makes a great BBC so order one if you get the chance. There a few things that they could do to improve things. They should have snacks or pizza slices available during the day and something in the evening. A lot of people were looking for munchies and were forced to by things from the Gift Shop and weren't impressed.

Rex St Lucian: Great location

Situated on a lovely beach ,walking distance to shops , Banks & restaurants . We had beach front room which was spacious and clean. Lovely balcony view! Food was ok . Plenty of variety during our 7 day stay .Plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables. Great place for non smokers . Easy to take local bus to Castries for market . Also close to pigeon island, gros islet friday night street party and rainforest adventures .

Clean resort, friendly employees, great activities and watersports. All the food at the restaurants were very good. Great for couples or family. We all enjoyed everything this hotel offers young or old.

Nice little paradise nestled just on the outside of Castries with a great view. Amazing service! Great Food! Most relaxing vacation ever with plenty to do. We would certainly return! Can't wait until our next trip to this wonderful Island.

I can honestly say that this was a wonderful resort to stay at. The restaurant service was extremely efficient and the food very good. The al-a-carte restaurants were very good. Most of the staff was wonderful. The Wednesday beach party and entertainment was a lot of fun, and as everyone at the resort seemed to enjoy dancing to the DJ more than the bands, would maybe recommend having the bands play earlier followed by a DJ who plays a mix of old, new and island music. The Sunset lounge where the [... read more] bands play, could also use a couple of ceiling fans. I can't imagine how hot it mus be during the summer, and they make a huge difference in the restaurants. Our Oceanfront room was fantastic and the room so clean with everything being white. Joy Cruises booked on the beach was a lot of fun too! Also did ladies special at the Spa and it was fabulous. The gym is completely new and did morning stretching which was very relaxing. In case you haven't guessed by now, I really loved this resort and would recommend to couples between the ages of 40-60 or anyone not looking for a crazy party time.
