Melia Cayo Coco: A true gem!, clean & relaxing resort

Just got back and from the start to the end, this resort speaks all about friendliness, relaxation, beautiful beach, quiet, wonderful food, a true gem. Was so impressed with how well maintained the grounds, landscaping, pool, buffet, beach all well maintained. Adult only resort much older crowd 50s to 70s, no loud music, or loud animation. Occidental Arenas Blancas: Excellent resort

This is my second trip to this resort. I have returned because a lunch buffet with a good bathroom is right on the beach. The rooms are large and well supplied with balconies overlooking the pool. The grounds are well maintained with flowering hedges everywhere. Only a few steps from the hotel to The Varadero Boulevard and The Beatles Bar.

Melia Internacional: Did not disappoint.

This was our second visit to Malia international as we had visited it a few years ago. As with our first stay at the resort, we were very pleased. The facility itself is excellent. This is a relatively new resort and we found no indication of deferred maintenance in either our room or in the common areas. The staff were excellent, friendly and very efficient. We experienced no shortages in either food or drink. We have no hesitation in recommending.

Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Loved this resort

Even though the resort is dated and in need of some renovation, the employees make it up for it. Wonderful service, friendly and respectful people. Food was always available and good for Cuban resorts. We loved every minute of it, and the beach is our favourite place. I’m sure we’ll go back to the hotel in the future.

Occidental Arenas Blancas: Best beach/value

The rooms were terrible, but who cares about a room in sunny Veradero? The beach was incredible. And the food was actually pretty decent. For the price you literally can’t beat it. The staff were also very friendly, especially at the Seafood restaurant and the A La Cartes.

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Holguin: Beautiful resort

This was our 2nd stay at this resort. It is still very new and kept very clean . Has an easy access to the lovely beach . Gardens are beautiful , you see gardeners working on them all day . Rooms are specious and beds are very comfortable. Staff is wonderful and very attentive. They will do anything to make your stay more pleasant. So overall we are very pleased with our stay and would recommend to visit. The only thing negative there is hardly any entertainment. Was tired of disco music eve [... read more]ry night . Sanctuary at Grand Memories Holguin: Sanctuary at Grand Memories Holguin

We had a great time in Holguin. As usual in Cuba there are items that are not available but staff always aim to please and make things great. Overall, no complaints once we got to the resort. Our flight from Toronto was delayed for over 7 hours which made us miss the whole first day but the rest of the trip was good. Upgrading to premium was a bonus to ensure that we had access to a butler (Marlon and Yannel). We spend most of our time at the Sanctuary Pool which was never over-crowded. Melia Marina Varadero: Enjoyable Resort

Our stay was most enjoyable. Friendly staff. Good service. Good entertainment and a wide variety of food. The served meals in the International Room and Tex-Mex room were beautifully presented and very tasty. We plan to return!

Melia Cayo Coco: Highly Recommended

Melia Cayo Coco is a beautiful resort. The grounds are well-kept, the beach is free of seaweed and the rooms are cleaned daily. There are several bars and restaurants. There are plenty of lounge chairs at the pool and the beach. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Best Beach Resort!

Memories Caribe again was fun to spend time at and the beach just the best. Staff was able to accommodate my requests for my stay. Music at the piano bar was enjoyable. I do miss the Karaoke nights, please bring them back, they were fun and drew large audiences for the big stage area!

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Hotel should be closed

With a heavy heart I write this review. I am a repeat guest since opening and I will not be returning. I have proper expectations of food but I do not expect to be served spoiled meat on 2 separate occasions. The other protein choices were all fat and we were unable to eat them. There is one working cart so plan on taking all your bags to Your room on your own. The van for Coral guests drives so fast he knocked us off the road twice. All of the beach chairs on Ensenachos beach should be replac [... read more]ed. They are mouldy and broken.The pools used to be very clean, this trip they were moderate at best. The small pool with the hot tub was filthy and was definitely unsafe to swim in. Sadly the only positive is there is way less garbage littered around the beach and walkways. It is a real shame such a stunning property has been allowed to fall into ruins.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Beautiful Resort

Just completed my 15th trip to Memories Caribe since Nov 2022. The resort is smaller than most and easy to navigate. The rooms are very clean and the staff is amazing !! The food is plentiful and the variety and quality was good. The beach is a 10/10 and like a postcard !

Melia Cayo Coco: Good Time

This hotel is really good, everyone is very friendly and we did not go without anything the whole time we spent here. Food and drinks were good, people were awesome and the hotel is very clean. No complaints!!

Sanctuary White Sands: First time to sanctuary white sands, last time

I’ve been to Cuba about 16 times now. This was was my first time to sanctuary white sands, however I will never be a repeat guest. The good, rooms were clean, pool was clear, beach was beautiful. However I do believe, and experienced all the staff is not honest, I’ve never experienced theft in Cuba before, I’m in utter shock, and would never go back because of this.

Grand Memories Santa Maria: Not Great

We upgraded to an oceanview room, it was very run down. Shower barely worked, door frame kept falling apart and a lot of bugs (ants and cockroaches). We booked this hotel because it was for families because we brought our 11 year old. There was no activities for kids his age. Normally there is soccer of volleyball but there was nothing. Playa Cayo Santa Maria: Unforgettable

This resort has exceeded all our expectations coming in. From the staff to the food and beach front it had it all. Wonderful people and have made so many friends. Highly recommend this resort Thank you!

Memories Trinidad Del Mar: Memories is our resort of choice to return to; this being our sixth consecutive visit

We are a multi visit returner to this hotel. The property buildings and rooms are maintained on and on going basis year to year. Meaning they do not let it run down and then have a major renovation. The staff year to year is consistent in customer care. they are all welcoming and ready to take care of us and our needs. We year after year are welcomed back and to us its like returning to a close relatives home for a family reunion. We intend all things being equal to go back again next November.  [... read more]We also note there are a number of other Canadians we have come to know who also vacation in the same time period as us We keep in touch with many of them during the year and coordinate our vactation's with, a year in advance. yes there are minor issues at any hotel one visit's but compared to the great sea, beach, sun and hotel amenities they are minor and the staff do there best to resolve in as soon and possible. And yes we do recommend this hotel to our friends and are already planning tor nest year.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Our Favourite

We recently visited Memories Caribe in Cayo Coco for our twelfth time. Obviously, we really enjoy this resort. This time we stayed in a Premium Al Fresco room. Our flight arrived late in the evening, check-in was fast and since we are very familiar with the resort we were able to find out building very easily. Everything in our room was in working order. We also had returning guest dinner, Premium dinner, and Ambassador dinner so did not eat dinner in the buffet. The food in every a la carte restaurant was very good. We also had breakfast in the Premium restaurant which was nice. We absolutely love the beach at this resort and that is the main reason we return. Plenty of chairs under the shade and the chair guys are always speedy and helpful in getting you set up. Alain, Fidel and Yenelis at the beach bar are fabulous with their service. The snack bar and BBQ at the Premium area are very good and so convenient. The Premium beach area is fairly quiet and relaxing. We went to the Bites snackbar a couple of times and the food and drinks were great. The piano bar had music every night, but we found it too loud and crowded for our taste. Overall, we had a very nice vacation and will definitely return.
