Paradisus Playa del Carmen: Fantastic resort for adults or families!

I've had the opportunity to experience a number of different all inclusive brands in different locations and nothing really comes close to Paradisus La Esmeralda. Everything from the rooms to the service to the food and entertainment were all first class and unique to anything I had previously seen at an all inclusive resort. Bana and Mole were certainly our favourites but there was something for everyone and the decor and service were second to none. Beach The beach certainly isn't what you come to this resort for - there are definitely issues with seaweed and the accompanying smell. However, the service on the beach was fantastic. Our chairs were always set up to our liking and food and drink delivered directly to our seats. Pools Pretty standard fare. We spent most of our time at the La Perla adults only pool but the pool bar was adequate for our needs, there were always plenty of seats and the food from the pool grill was surprisingly good Rooms The rooms at this resort could be compared against any major chain or even boutique hotel in a major city. The amenities were fantastic and the room service was out of this world Entertainment Rather than the standard bandshell entertainment, there were a lot of live bands and other events taking place that felt unique to the resort. Live band karaoke, the Frankie Valli cover band, and casino nights were definitely highlights YHI Spa The spa is amazing. Get there early to make use of the hydromassage pools. The deep tissue massage was one of the best massages I've ever received Decor The entire resort feels like a New York City hotel dropped in a tropical paradise. The decor was tasteful and eye catching. Everything has been carefully considered, right down to the lighting near the pools in the evening I cannot recommend this hotel enough. I can guarantee you it's an experience you will not soon forget and will make going to any other resort very difficult after setting the bar that high.

The Reserve at Paradisus Punta Cana: Beautiful Resort but a little too big

Grounds: the property was beautiful! Huge trees, tons of flowers and greenery, clean, perfectly manicured walkways, ponds and flamingos everywhere. One of the nicest resort properties i've ever visited. Rooms: We had upgraded to the Reserve which is a private area with massive suites on the resort. This area has it's own pool, buffet etc. HOWEVER it is the furthest area from the beach and the main restaurants so you have to wait for a golf cart anytime you want to go basically anywhere. A [... read more]lso, crazy that you pay so much extra for an upgrade assuming you have ocean view but its not. Better off booking something smaller but with ocean view at the front of the resort. Dining: Food was meh. Buffet was not great, they had like 3 small buffets scattered bc resort was big with the same thing offered at each. Would have preferred a larger buffet with more food options. the selection didnt change much and the taste was meh. We never went for seconds or overly indulged ever. Drinks: there were lots of bars and areas to get a drink, never had to go too far which was really nice. lots of drink options and quick service. They were friendly to the teens too and didnt give them a hard time either. The restaurants we booked were surprising all meh in taste as well. was super disappointed with the food. It wasnt as bad as Cuba but it was close. Pools: pools were big, clean and surrounded by beautiful trees/flowers and pool chairs. Almost all the chairs were reserved by 9am every morning so you basically had to pay the pool staff to get you one. Once you figured out thats how it worked, it was fine. Beach: Gorgeous white sand beach, long strip so you could walk forever. We had a windy week so I cant comment on the water bc it was probably a bit less calm than usual but was still nice. Lots of seating on the beach, nice little bar as well for drinks.

Paradisus Playa del Carmen: Paradise!

This was our second visit to Paradisus Esmeralda - and this time we decided for extend our trip to 9 nights! Our kids regularly asked to go to the kids club because of the programming, the new water park was an awesome surprise! (Bring life jackets if your kids aren’t strong swimmers - it’s deep!) The food was amazing as always! Only negative...the beach, while beautiful soft sand, does stink of seaweed and there is coral in the swimming area.

Melia Braco Village: Intimate resort

We returned to Melia Braco for our 2nd time. This is a smaller intimate resort great for kicking back and relaxing, although there is still much to do. The beach area has been improved 100%+ lots of sand has been added easy to walk barefoot. Great food and staff. Felt like going home.

The Reserve at Paradisus Punta Cana: Beautiful Resort

Had a wonderful time at the Reserve Punta Cana. The resort grounds are gorgeous and the beach amazing. Our room was nice with a comfy bed. Food at the buffet was good, flavorful and plenty of choices. Fruits was my favorite. Restaurants were OK. Loved the entertainment staff at night as they showed us how to dance the DR way in the main lobby. Did not see any shows so can't comment on them. Would definitely love to return one day.

Paradisus La Perla Adults Only Riviera Maya: Beautiful resort

Beautiful resort ,clean , food is amazing,staff is very friendly and attentive.The was negative thing was the beach , very small and lots of sea weads.We upgraded to swim up room and it was amazing.Food in the restaurants was good especially the lapalapa I highly recommend , my husband had stake and I had an octopus it was amazing.

Paradisus Punta Cana: VERY NICE HOTEL

HOTEL VERY WELL KEPT. GROUNDS CLEAN AND ROOMS VERY WELL SERVICES. FOOD GENERALLY FINE BUT COULD USE A LITTLE IMPROVING. DRINKS EXCELLENT AND PLENTIFUL 2 SHOWS WE SAW WERE EXCELLENT. bUTLER SERVICE WAS NOT A BIG DEAL THE REST OF ROYAL SERVICE WAS GOOD AND THE LOUNGE WAS EXCELLENT.

Zel Cozumel: First time in Cozumel

This year we decided to go away for my birthday. I have to say it was a very last minute decision. We wanted to go back to Cuba and then as I was talking to my trip central agent, we found this deal for Cozumel. Our flight was on time and no problems. Upon our arrival to Cozumel, once passing security, my husband and I were greeted by this lady telling us to go to this specific counter. We were up since 4 AM and could not wait to get to our final destination. Once at that counter, what we th [... read more]ought was a deal for an excursion, turned out to be ( which we found out the next day) a tentative to sell us time share for vacation. BE AWARE !! These people have nothing to do with the resort nor whoever you purchased your vacation with. Beside that little hiccup, we had an AMAZING time. Would we go back?? For sure.

Zel Cozumel: Lovely

Very friendly staff ! lots of variety food too bad there was no fruit bar. Grounds were nice . check in was acceptable. Very safe , really good staff. Beach was nice when first arrive a lot of seaweed but they cleaned it up .Irma has done a lot of damage to the Caribbean I must say but the water is still blue. Good entertainment shows and the entertainment team was wonderful Carlos and lena were very involved.

Melia Nassau Beach Resort: Nice Place

Staff were very friendly however we were always seated late at the restaurants even with reservations. Rooms and the resort was very clean. limited selection for food both at the restaurants and buffet. Overall, nice place to relax

Melia Braco Village: Beautiful Resort

Kevin from Tripcentral was amazing and very helpful throughout the booking. We had an amazing time and awesome view from our room, the service was great. We had fresh towels and housekeeping in our room every day, bar fridge re-stocked on a daily basis. Grounds are very well maintained and food was awesome. Plenty of room to sit at the pool and the beach with plenty of beach towels every day. Hoping to return one day.

Paradisus Punta Cana: Ups and downs at Paradisus

We had a great time but would not return to this resort and here’s why: Upon arriving, the front desk clerk immediately tried to sell us a 700$ upgrade for ‘royal service’. We were told that without this upgrade we would not be allowed to use one of the two pools, part of the beach, several bars and restaurants, the second lobby or have nicer quality rooms. This excluded literally half of what the resort had to offfer. And when you pay for an all inclusive you don’t expect to be bombard [... read more]ed with things you won’t have unless you pay more. When we declined, the tone of service changed. We then waited 3 hours for our room which surpassed checkin time. We were told we’d have a king and we got two doubles (one more uncomfortable than the next) The food was alright (fresh produce), the beach was breathtaking (one of the most beautiful) and the facilities were clean. Many of the staff were friendly and many were not, and looked unhappy (which made me feel a bit guilty for being there) Overall, we had a lovely time and overlooked the negative but would go elsewhere next time. While most resorts have that type of ‘royal’ upgrade, this place takes it to a whole new level. I’ve never taken the paid upgrades and it never mattered before but at Paradisus, if you don’t take it, you see the division in quality and service.

Melia Nassau Beach Resort: Great weekend away!

We did a quick Friday-Monday trip. The hotel was exactly as expected. There is construction going on but it by no means has a negative impact on your stay. The beach was gorgeous, daily entertainment was great! We went into downtown one day (very expensive). The bus is super cheap to get you there. The food is decent, you definitely won’t starve. Only thing we would change...wish we we had of booked a longer stay!

Paradisus Punta Cana: Loved every minute!

I traveled here solo with my 2 year old and we had a wonderful time. Everything was excellent, including staff, food and service. Beautiful grounds set in nature and a great place for families but also has a separate kid-free area.

The Level at Melia Caribe: Absolutely beautiful resort

The Level at Melia was amazingly beautiful. The pools were gorgeous. I love the breathtaking views from the dining area of the beach. Staying at the Level adults only was very nice to have as many towels as you want at the pool or on the beach with no towel card and being able to get driven around by a golf cart wherever you wanted to go instead of waiting for a train. We were always being greeted and offered a coconut every time you walked on the path by the gardeners. But no one ever offered us any kind of drink like a samosa with breakfast for example. And the service was very slow at the restraints. The food was not very good. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t good either. I lost 5 pounds because I barely ate anything. The only thing I enjoyed was the bacon in the morning at breakfast and the bananas were very fresh and delicious. I basically lived on banana mamas the whole week. A delicious drink. The omelets in the morning were ok but never cooked enough. And there weren’t many options for dinner. We ended up eating at the steak house almost every night and there wasn’t much on the menu to choose from so we ended up eating the same thing every night. I thought the indoor buffet was the best over at the main lobby. The phone in our room rang constantly which was annoying. They were calling to see if everything was ok. We also got a phone call the first day asking us to come to a complimentary breakfast at a resort next door. They want you to sign up for a timeshare. Also annoying because they should not be calling your room. Some of the shows were pretty good but the theatre was small so we made sure we got there early to sit in the front row every night. The Queen show was the best. It was a live band. And the Michael Jackson show was good as always. The resort was under construction when we were there and I think they were building a new bigger and better theatre. The beach was so beautiful. It was not crowded at all and it was huge. But it was wavy and there was quite a bit of seaweed. I couldn’t swim in the waves. They were too strong and pulled me under. But we walked way down the beach and it was much calmer and more swimmable. And there is a great shopping market of souvenirs on the beach if you walk about 15 minutes to the right facing the ocean. Our room was very beautiful but I’m afraid there were cockroaches which was horrible because I’ve never seen one before. It was a little black bug that ran fast as hell in my bathroom at night. So we slept with the lights on in the bathroom and hallway. One more thing. As soon as you walk to the water you have people harassing you to buy things. Just don’t look at them and don’t even say hola. The beach and pools and gardens are so stunningly beautiful though that it made up for anything else. We had a wonderful vacation.

Paradisus Cancun: Beautiful Paradise

It was a perfect choice to stay in Paradisus Cancun. We got an excellent service, all the staff members were kind and helpful. The environment was clean and the food at all restaurants was amazing. We had a wonderful time at the beach and would definitely recommend this place.

Melia Nassau Beach Resort: Great Resort!

Overall this hotel was okay. The room was clean and nice looking. Most of the workers were friendly and helpful. I’ve been to other places and I find that the entertainment at this resort needs some upgrading. This resort lacked in the entertainment department. The food was good but I was a little worried when it came to the lady making the chicken and how she would use the same tongs for the uncooked chicken, cooked chicken and pasta. the management and services of the resort is not according to stars ratings just an average , I give them only 3 stars, the place punta cana is amazing next time if I travelling there I will try another resort.

Melia Braco Village: It's a wonderful paradise!!!

It's a wonderful paradise!!! We were family of five adults that stayed at Melia Braco Village for a week. We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation without any regrets. This hotel is located approximately 50 minutes away from the Montego Bay airport. We arrived around 10 pm at the resort and ordered room service for dinner. Although there were some flaws in our order, the service and the rest of the meal was great. The entire staff members were well trained and know how to treat their guests properly. Starting off with the coconut man "Kermar" we found that he was a very polite and friendly. Dean Paul who served us at the Prime restaurant or Sharone (she always had a beautiful smile all the time) at Rasta Pasta restaurant and all the servers and bartenders at all the restaurants and bars...all were amazing!! Now, lets talk about food. The buffet had enough variety and amble food every day. Not a single day we missed fish. There were different varieties of fish, chicken, pork and beef and rice, veggies pasta and omelet stations, fruits and desserts. We thoroughly enjoyed the papayas. Very fresh and juicy. As we enjoy spicy food, the menus were little bland for us. However, to compensate that they had pepper oil ( extremely spicy) and jerk sauce. So we could make any dish spicy. Out of 4 a-la-carte restaurants, the Rasta pasta was our favorite. The drinks and cocktails at the Bar were amazing! The resort is absolutely situated in a perfect spot. The grounds were nicely landscaped and filled with beautiful matured trees and tropical plants. The beach....breath taking!!! The big waves were calmed down by the barrier and created "pool like" water for swimming and snorkeling. Out of 7 days, 5 days we went for snorkeling and saw more than nine varieties of fish. And don't miss out the activities. Marlon was really helpful and friendly at zip lining. Finally " the out of the resort experience". We took a cab from the hotel and his name was "Johnny P". He was very nice and friendly and took us two trips: one to see Montego Bay town and Blue Hole water falls. We thoroughly enjoyed the water fall and its surroundings. If you are buying any booze, buy at the airport. Much cheaper than anywhere else. We got ripped off at the shopping centre. Pros: mentioned all already😄 Cons: Wished the hotel property allowed us to walk along the shore not limited to their property. Overall we had the perfect vacation!!! Melia Nassau Beach Resort: Awesome Resort!!

It was our first all inclusive experience and it turned out to be fantastic!. We were bit worried about having infant during our stay but our every needs were met and we will definately go back here! Also I liked the fact that there was no hassle at getting excursion planned out on the spot as the system established here is pretty straight forward and tour agent was always on site at resort as well
