Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: It's was the dream vacation amazing

Accommodation was excellent, the food was delicious and the service was great I would return at anytime and would also recommend it to anyone who is looking for a nice place to say with no hassle and great people. Activities thought out the day both a the pool and at the beach, the night life is good as well. There a saying in Jamaica no problems just situation well we feel that and was well taking care of the entire trip.

Grand Palladium Jamaica: Amazing Resort

The room was good but the bathroom could use some TLC. The beds need replacing but hey, you're only there to sleep. The service was excellent and we found the Mexican a la carte awesome. Jerk Hut was also amazing. Get to the pool early to get your beach towels. The only real negative I could say was that they were out of towels by 11 am usually and you had to hunt around to different locations to get them. The new waterpark looks pretty cool for the kids and should be completed soon.

Royalton Negril Resort And Spa: Fine resort

The resort was older but well maintained. The food and service were excellent. there was a secluded nude beach and an open beach which was very swimmable. Hobie cats, windsurfers and kayaks were available free of charge through the resort.

Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton: Great Resort

Pool was great - very large. Accomodations were nicely maintained. Although the Honeymoon Villas are a long walk to the centre of all of the action. They were very private - but a long walk. Food was excellent. Overall a great vacation spot.

Riu Montego Bay: awesome time

Everything you need within resort....entertainment plentiful...staff accomodating....very clean and lots of loungers for relaxing around pool and beach....variety of food and excellent presentation ...well stocked rooms with your own mini bar

Samsara Cliff Hotel: Samsara resort Jamaica

Room clean neat with a king bed...firm mattress with air con and ceiling fan. The bathroom clean, small everything worked, shower had a big water head. The view fantastic,we had a ocean front with balcony room with ocean and cliff view. Staff friendly, the grounds were being upgraded along with a few rooms

Secrets St James: Excellent with upgrade

For the most perfect holidays, select club privilege for an upgrade room. Everything is perfect at the St James resort but notice that room need renovations. The washroom running, shower titles, drape were to difficult to open and halls needs painting.

Grand Palladium Jamaica: Overpriced and overrated

Thanks for the follow up. Sadly this was probably the worst all inclusive vacation I have ever been on... The hotel and amenities were great but the service was horrendous; it seemed like everyone could care less about quick courteous service (except the maids who were great). The hotel was under major renovations so there were a number of closed a'la carte restaurants and those that were opened did not take reservations but only allowed walks in which had a waiting time of two hours. The genera [... read more]l store in the main lobby was the only place that anyone could buy snacks and they were only interested in gouging the guests at the resort. A bag of potato chips is $8 , bottles of water $4, candy bars $4 and that was at the cheaper of the two stores. Going off the resort into town was out of the question as the cab fair was $50 there and back so it would negate any savings. The beaches were absolutely horrible as the sea bed was either covered with weeds of sharp rocks and very shallow. The pool was great however there was a lack of good sunning areas and most of the deck chairs were old. There was not a lot of guest during our visit however on four occasions we were told they did not have any beach towels... Not sure how that was possible. If you want repeat customers you should warn everyone not to book at this resort. After speaking to some of the drivers they even said that the better area is Ocho Rios for beaches and people... Not sure if that would make me ever want to go back to Jamaica, but I know for sure I will never go to that resorts or any of their affiliates. I honestly don't know why this trip should cost me (or anyone) $1725.

Couples Swept Away: Nice resort

Great layout, very lush, amazing food, clean rooms, great patio, possibly best portion on 7 mile beach. Grounds clean but scrubby/not manicured, pools/hot tubs quite dirty, pools very small, lame nightly entertainment, some staff very gumpy.

Royalton Negril Resort And Spa: Well kept older resort

Nice clean resort with easy access to beach. Food was good and plentiful. Evening entertainment was great, better than expected. Mostly older couples (50's-60's), but lots of fun! Rooms were clean and inviting.

Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: "A" for Effort

We had a wonderful time. Beautiful resort, wonderful staff (with a special mention for Nadeen, Sandrine and Kimone.) Service was exceptional except for one breakfast and lunch at the buffet (same server both times. She was abysmal in comparison to everyone else). The only disappointments were the food and mini bar. Food was plentiful but mediocre (for the most part, as some local style dishes were a pleasant surprise) and rarely hot. Desserts were horrible. No redeeming qualities there. Would have been nice to have another diet Coke at some point. Aside from those couple of issues, everything was great. Oh, one thing...Now this isn't a complaint, honest, its simply an observation...Its quite a loud resort. The common rooms are cavernous and everything echoes. With no carpeting (of course) there is nothing to absorb the sound. Husband didn't notice but I like to read. Hey, if I needed silence I could have stayed home. Again, just an observation. The grounds were gorgeous and the view was amazing. The Japanese restaurant is a must do. The show was a lot of fun and the food was very good...and HOT. Pools and swim up bar were perfect (lots of bees, though, but that's to be expected with all the sweet liqueurs). Bartenders were very entertaining and fun. Again, great staff! We never had a problem finding loungers by the pool, which was greatly appreciated. In summary, two thumbs up! Small issues but certainly not deal breakers and, hey, perfection doesn't exist. A wonderful vacation, dont hesitate to stay here! You'll love it.

Hotel Four Seasons: Fair Resort

I thought long and hard when writing this review, and though I am not one to usually offer any negative comments in situations like this, this time I felt inclined to do so. The staff are real friendly but the standard of service (i.e. housekeeping in rooms) is horrible. One word to describe my room - moist!

Sunset Beach Resort and Spa: Amazing Stay

We visited this resort on a recommendation from a friend for our sons wedding. I cannot say enough good about the resort. The rooms were clean and spacious. The staff were always friendly. The food on the daily buffet was amazing offering plenty of options of American/Cdn and authentic Jamaican choices. Three times during our stay there were special buffets for American Thanksgiving, one to showcase all of the a la carte restaurants, and then a pirate themed night. Riu Montego Bay: awesome last minute vacay

We had a wonderful time on our recent visit to Riu Montego Bay. Staff was helpful in any request we had, they are so amazing they will even climb the trees to get u a coconut!! (If they do- please don't forget to tip!!) There was not one issue while we were there. Everything was perfect from the time we got off the plane until we left the resort. We spent every day at the pool bar, the bartenders were amazing, always took such good care of us and sooooooo BEYOND ENTERTAINING!! The beach is not the best, but the jerk chicken hut on the beach is!!! We spent every lunch there, we didn't even try the lunch buffet as we enjoyed the jerk hut so much. As for dinner, we preferred the buffet over the a la cartes. I would recommend sticking to the buffet. We also had an amazing server there, if you go, try to sit in Kesrick's section. Rooms as well as entire resort were clean and maintained well throughout our entire trip. One recommendation : There is a glass bottom boat (Stingray Tours I think was the name) run by Captain Reba, he and Ryan will take you out on the ocean and bring you snorkeling for somewhere around $20/person (think it depends on size of your group). Most amazing experience! At the end you can swim under the boat and they will take a picture of you! Thanks so much guys!! We also did the Dunn's Falls climb, I would definitely recommend doing this, however try and find a company other than Cool runnings...they claim the excursion has a party boat cruise at the end, with drinks included...There was NO RUM IN THE DRINKS!!! Maybe they thought we wouldn't notice, but they claimed there was Wray and Nephew overproof rum in the "RUM punch", if you have ever drank it you would know that it has a smell and taste that is distinctive and no matter how little of an amount is in it, you would know! That really though, is my only complaint! The rest of the trip was awesome and I would go back - particularly for my pool bar staff!! Thanks again for the experience!!

Catalonia Montego Bay: Disappointed

The hotel is old. The grounds are well kept. The water is very shallow. The beach area on most days had seaweed that couldn't be kept cleaned because there was too much of it. There were backhoes digging on the beach areas to bury the seaweed as they were running out of places to put it. The weather is nice and the food was good.

Catalonia Montego Bay: Great resort

We loved everything about this resort, the people, the staff, the food was great. I'd give a higher rating but $70.00 Canadian funds were taken from my husband's wallet while it was in the night table due to a faulty safe. The safe was fixed the next day.

Grand Muthu Runaway Bay Club Caribbean: Not Bad

This resort is smaller than what we normally go to. Perfect place to sit back and relax not a lot of activities. The bus ride to the resort was slightly over an hour. We did not have a lot of choices on the food although the food was good and plenty of it. You had your breakfast choices, lunch and dinner buffet. The thing we did not like was that the resort allows smoking and there was no designated area. People were allowed to smoke where you were eating which turned us off. The beach was alway [... read more]s clean but could not snorkle in this area. The rooms were always kept clean. I would not go back to this resort only because of the size and the smoking issue.

Couples Swept Away: Amazing Vacation

The staff, rooms, grounds and food were all outstanding! The beach is endless soft, white sand. The sports centre is wonderful, and there are activities for everyone. You can do as much or as little as you like. The water sports staff are friendly and helpful and diving and snorkelling on the coral reefs was amazing . The sunset cruise and the little extra touches like fruit kabobs served on the beach, were all memorable This was our second trip and, we will return for a longer time next year.

Catalonia Montego Bay: Holiday Inn Sunspree Exceeded Our Expectations

The Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort in Montego Bay, Jamaica exceeded our expectations in all aspects. This was our first experience in Jamaica and we will come back (and bring other friends and family with us)! The accommodations, grounds, beach, and sports areas were clean, well maintained, and the staff friendly and helpful without exception. The tasty food in the main buffet had a variety of choices for all (breakfast, lunch, dinner) on a daily basis. And, the ala carte restaurant options and foo [... read more]d were excellent as well. We enjoyed the mini golf, snorkelling, kyaking, paddle wheelers, and catamaras, (which were all included n/c) (forgot to bring tennis shoes to take advantage of the tennis courts). The numerous beach areas always had plenty of chairs. The beach areas are broken into smaller coves along the resort which provides pleasant areas which are not congested. The location of the hotel was a short bus ride from the airport which was also a bonus in terms of time spent travelling. Overall, we had no complaints and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the resort. We would definately recommend it to others.

Sandals Dunn's River: Great, relaxing vacation

We booked the Jewel on the recommendation of a friend and were not disappointed. We were looking for a smaller resort with easy access and not many stairs due to limited mobility issues. Three stairs at the most as well as some ramps suited us fine. The only issue with stairs was getting up to the Spa but they were very accommodating and allowed us to arrange to have our massage elsewhere. Our room was nice, never any issues with hot water or the cleanliness. My only issue was a fair bit of nois [... read more]e from the restaurant vents. I would rather have heard the tree frogs but it wasn't bad enough to cause us any distress or to stop us from enjoying and evening on the balcony (which had a great ocean view). The entertainment staff were great fun and definitely entertaining, the dance moves are amazing to watch. The restaurant wait staff were excellent and very accommodating in seating us and attentive to our needs. The bar staff were fast, accurate and poured and blended some mighty fine drinks. The food was excellent and there was a good variety including many local dishes on the buffet. All the restaurants on site had great selections and we were never disappointed with a meal. Thanks Jewel for a relaxing birthday trip, we will not hesitate to recommend this location to our friends.
