Melia Jardines del Rey: Resort was spotless clean at all times

We found the staff to be very friendly the hotel and grounds was well kept, out room was very nice and well maintained by the staff surprisingly for Cuba the food was good at this hotel all in all lovely hotel and will recommend

Sol Cayo Coco: Great smaller Resort

Sol Cayo Coco is a very nice smaller resort! A little older and the rooms need some updating, are very clean. The resort is easy to get around, with 2 beach areas available the pool is good,but cold. The food is the best we have ever had in Cuba! Fresh fish, shrimp and meats available at grill daily in main buffet. All the usual buffet items. We even had 1/2 a large lobster available. Tryp Cayo Coco: Tired and understaffed

I love Cuba and enjoyed this resort. The staff are very friendly, however, VERY overworked. We found that there was always a wait for a table - wandering around a half empty dining room with no tables ready ..... The beach was beautiful and the pool areas great. Most rooms were very old and tired, but; you're in Cuba. They have an issue with mold though, which is not acceptable.

Melia Jardines del Rey: Great resort grounds and beach

The resort grounds and buildings were great. You could walk for a very long time on the beach, and there was lots of wildlife (starfish, crabs, birds, the donkey!). Some people complained about the coral, but if you just walk a minute to the right or left of the main entrance of the beach it is sandy to walk in. The pools were good for days when it was very windy at the beach. The room was clean and had a nice layout, I'd bring your own pillow though. There were mosquitos every evening between 5 [... read more]-7, seemed to be worse by the 24 hour snack bar. The staff was very friendly! Food was typical for Cuba, not amazing but we didn't go hungry. Service was friendly, however very slow in the buffet (to get a coffee for example). The only other issue was line ups in the buffet, it would get very busy, and if you wanted anything they were making on the spot (omelette, pancakes, meat) you would be waiting in line for about 10 minutes.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Nice Rrsort.

I like the resort grounds and lay out of the property. The beach was nice, a little rocky but still good, beach is long so you could go for long walks. I found the food good and I found the staff amazing. Never had great staff like at this resort. Always joking with you and giving you good service.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Will definitely return

Took Diamond Club and it was worth it. We were met at Cuban airport by Sunwing representative with our bands, room numbers and check in was a breeze. Resort grounds were well kept, room was junior suite which we will choose again. Staff excellent. Good assortment of food. Loved the special effects (bubbles in pool) and the entertainment. Pools were clean and well kept. We have been to Cuba a number of times and this resort in our price range is well worth the money. Excellent sand beach.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: So So Resort

I didn't really care for my stay at memories flamenco , The rooms were very clean but the grounds were not maintained like a 4.5 star resort should be. The water in the pool was very cold. The resort staff was plesant and the beaches here were absolutely beautiful. I also didn't particular enjoy the food so much .

Hotel Mojito: Slight disappointment

The Iberostar name has gone downhill it used to be one of the premiere resort names in the Caribbean. This resort is a low cost recent buy for them and no immediate need for renovations, the food choices are limited but you can eat well. The trip to the beach is quite a hike but since most of the beach has shrunk when the tide is in you have to be careful you may get washed away with the waves.

Hotel Vigia: Never going back again.

Its our 12th time in Cuba, 4th in Cayo Coco and first time at the hotel Sol Cayo Guillermo. Negative points : there is NO customer service, there is no manager (the manager lied and said he was a taxi driver at first, then he didnt new anything about the schedules the hours of operations etc. nothing was well organized NOTHING. We didn't have clean shower towels for 3days in a row, had to call for water bottles everyday, service is extremely slow, they had no beach towels after 1pm, there was mo [... read more]re clients than fourniture, some rooms didnt have beds, tv's, blowdryers etc. The buffet was too small for the amount of clients, food was bad, 95% of the workers didnt seem to want to be there, always looking for tips, anyways nothing to make us valuable, welcomed, appreciated. Positive points : beach is amazing. So if you want a nice beach with no customer service no room comfort no good food no happy workers its a good choice. I think it was our last trip to cuba or next time well try a new "5 star" hotel. We only went there because all the reviews i red were 4 and 5*, a lot of people were disapointed and had the same opinion as us. Just trying to make you save money and invest it in a better trip.

Starfish Cayo Guillermo: Not returning to Sortel club Guillermo

The hotel is run down, the beach is not good, but all the staff was so nice and helpful. This resort have a lot of potential, the new owner will have a lots of things to change. It is a nice place if it was taking care of, its a small resort, nice for a family with children.

Hotel Camino del Mar: Lovely resort but very outdated

Our recent vacation to this resort is with mixed feelings. The resort is in desperate need of being updated, it must have been amazing 15 years ago but time has really taken it's toll. The service and food are great and it is wonderful that it is small and very easy to get around. It has the most beautiful beach but unfortunately it has a huge problem with sand flees. My husband didn't get any bites but even with spraying I have tons of them. The other problem was the wind. Hotel Camino del Mar: Great for the price!

The beach is one the nicest I've seen, although because of the winds there was a huge amount of kelp swept in from the ocean. I had not seen this in previous years there. Our experience with the staff was totally positive. Our two complaints with the room were immediately corrected the next morning. The dining room staff were incredible. The mattresses were not the best but ok. The early evening entertainment was very good and they had an incredible guitarist, Daniel. Food was ok. There was lots [... read more]. The dishes did not vary very much from day to day. They had a lot of seafood. They warned us that there may be some biting insects that would be attracted to certain individuals and not others. The last 2 days of our stay I got several very itchy bites. I never saw what it was that was doing the biting. On the whole, we had a wonderful week.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Great vacation

We enjoyed the resort. Staff were fantastic. Julius (Junior) was an especially great bar tender on the beach. The beach was wonderful. They could have had more chairs at beach. The oriental restaurant was very good

Melia Jardines del Rey: New resort which needs to work out many kinks

Nice complex but food areas not to par for 2,000 plus guests as follows: 1) long waits at breakfast, buffet rooms too small, raw bacon 2) nice people but they need more staff 3) 24 hour snack bar waits way too long & not always open 4) awful rocky/coral beach but nice clear water 5) quite a few mosquitos; they need to spray the area to get rid of them 6) bad odor going to beach bar 7) good water pressure shower with hot water

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Not much to complain about

For Cuban standards this hotel was great ..yes sometimes all amenities are not available but hey are we born with a golden spoon?Food was good room was excellent the beach was a little rocky but 2 minutes on each side you get a beautiful beach.Enjoy the staff the Cuban people they were all wonderfull Thanks for the great holiday Memories flamenco

Hotel Playa Paraiso: The Friendly Resort

The staff was great. Great food with great service. The beach was clean and the water was warm. My room was relaxing. The weather was great. Always something to do. You'll enjoy the live entertainment, s nice variety of shows.

Hotel Playa Paraiso: Fantastic beach!

The beach is fantastic. Lots of lounge chairs with sun or shade locations...your choice. Great beach for long walks in the surf. The pool area had too little shade for our liking. The food was good especially at the buffet. We tried each specialty restaurant but preferred the buffet, in particular, the fish & meat grilling areas. The main lobby is the only gathering area in the evening & was too noisy to be enjoyable. The staff was very friendly & helpful. Melia Jardines del Rey: Beautiful resort

Beautiful resort but we found it to big. Gave to walk far to get to any area. There are golf carts driven by employees that will pick you up but good luck. The wait is long. Several areas / things we never found due to size. Pools are excellent lots of lounges and lots of room. Food needs improvement . Larger buffet area needed as two times we were there doors were closed as too many people

Hotel Vigia: Disappointed by the resort.

The rooms. Very old but expected. I did not expect the aweful smell in the room. Very musty and moldy and the smell did not go away. Shower was like a pressure washer, no shower head. Patio doors would not lock. They moved us after 3 days to another room, much better. Staff very nice. Food not so much. Beach amazing, best thing I can say about the trip. Sunwing rep needs to be replaced, very rude and not helpful at all.

Melia Jardines del Rey: Be careful at this resort

Raw sewage smell at #20 building where we stayed. Also # 19 building. We could NOT sit outside of our room due to this terrible smell. Killed mosquitoes in our room every day during our stay for 11 days. We reported it to front desk but nothing was done to correct the problem. The food was OK but nothing exciting. Food was scarce if you did not get in the dining area early. I rate this resort at 3.5 star NOT a 4 or 5 star as reported
