Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Ok resort

The resort is very big . We did experience some difficulty in our room which was never resolvedid The pool was not the cleanest. Regards to the restaurant...well we week very disappointed in the Don Pablo food was not cooked properry. But stay in the blue section which is closet to the beach that was the best area.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Wonderful time at Bahia

This was an amazing resort. The food was delicious (especially Arlequin and Alux) and the beaches and pools were excellent. we liked the fact that you could snorkel as the waves were blocked by barriers. If you wanted waves, you could go further down the beach. the service was also top-notch. everyone was friendly and helpful. The wifi was free and relatively fast. We enjoyed a trip to Tulum, Playa del Carmen and Akumal for snorkelling with the turtles. We are already planning on gong ba [... read more]ck next year. We stayed in villa 66 which was right on the beach and was worth the extra money.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: A Good Resort For An All Inclusive Experience

Overall a good resort for an all inclusive experience. I would not recommend if your looking for a "boutique" or "luxury" hotel. Beautiful grounds, nice beach, friendly staff, clean rooms and an impressive operation. A few things to keep in mind: 1. All the alcoholic drinks are diluted. If you want to catch a decent buzz, stick to the top shelf tequila (from what we experienced this was the only thing that wasn't diluted). This includes beer - only option was watered down flat XX. We ended up [... read more] buying beer from the gift shop. 2. Be mindful of the quality of food, especially meat and fish. It won't register well if you over indulge. Stick to the local dishes and stay away from any American or "international" food. Tequila is the best restaurant. 3. If your looking for an adult experience (ie. Honeymoon / Couple Vaction) the only hotel in the complex (there are a total of five hotels) that is truly adult only is the Siann Ka'an. We stayed at Akumal which was advertised as Adult only but there were a lot of children around every day. 4. All the bars close at 11pm and most pools close at 8pm. Would of been nice to have a late night pool or bar. After 11 if you want drinks the only option is at the night club and sports bar which are ok. 5. I recommend getting out of the resort for a day or two and checking out the carribean sea side of Tulum. Great strip of restaurants, bars and cool shops. Only $25 (20 min) cab ride from hotel. This review isn't for everyone but if you are looking for a good time with your partner or group of friends and are into food/drink culture keep my points in mind! :)

Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Great stay!

The resort grounds were very clean and facilities were definitely enjoyable. Beach was great, water was warm and pleasant. Bar and drinks were great, but food was so-so. Our room was decent, could have been a bit better considering the resort itself was so nice.

Cayo Levantado Resort: Would definitely go back!

The resort was beautiful. The grounds were immaculate.The staff was outstanding. We were so impressed with how much fun they were, their positive attitude and their work ethic. I had to travel in a wheelchair because of an injury and they made sure that I was given assistance and transportation so that I could do everything the rest of the guests were doing. W [... read more]e had some leaks in the ceiling of our room so that is one area that needed improvement.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Good Time & Sunshine

The hotel was very big and spread out. It was always clean and well maintained. The food was good, lots of selection in the buffet. The cooking show was awesome at the Japanese restaurant. Friendly staff. The beach was not very close but you can take the trolley which takes 5 minutes. Overall we enjoyed the resort and won't be strangers!

Cayo Levantado Resort: Wonderful Vacation

There is no doubt that this is a luxury resort!! From the moment you step off the boat you are served with a smile and receive extra attention!! The food here is fabulous, unlike other Dominican resorts, everything at every restaurant is great. Don Pablo was absolutely delicious, the service was exceptional, the ambience was luxurious!! Cayo Levantado Resort: Wonderful time for all our group

This Hotel is a small piece of Paradise. Our time there was wonderful. When we visited it was the "Rainy Season" and so that meant that some evenings the outdoor entertainment came inside. The down side of this was the volume was still the same as outside and way to loud for us to enjoy. Other than that all was good. The staff are an amazing group of young men and women who are always there for you.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: This hotel is awesome

This hotel has a great beach. There are a lot of pools. It also has a great service and a big choice of food at the buffet. There are good restaurant whit fast service. Since the hotel is very big they offert transportation that brings you in a different part of the hotel . The transportation comes very often.

Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: absolutely one of best resorts and superb beaches

Staff were wonderful, the resort was spotless. The grounds were well kept and it felt like being in paradise. The food was plentiful with wide variety to suit all taste buds. The maid was great and kept our room fully stocked daily. Best bartender is "Juan" at lobby bar.

The Eurostars Grand Cayacoa: Definitely a 5 star

Grand Bahia is definitely a 5 star. Hotel is spotless staff are friendly and inviting always a smile on their faces. Entertainers are engaging and work very hard to get you involved. Food in all the restaurants are excellent. The buffet is by far one of the best we have been to. Pools are clean and beach also just the water is not. Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Excellent

Second time at the grand Bahia Principe tulum hotel. It was excelllent. Lots of renovations happening in the lobby.Perfect and safe location. Great food. Took a collectevo into playa del Carmen for the day 40 pesos per person.

Cayo Levantado Resort: Awesome resort

Just enjoy the bartenders and wait staff. do not waste your time with the people at reception or people offering to give you free gifts for being there. the island is beautiful and excursions aren't really necessary but can be done by taking the 10 minute boat ride back to samana

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Amazing value for your money!!

This was our 1st time to Bahia Principe Sian Ka'an and probably won't be our last! Food was incredible, all staff from our check in to check out were amazing and very friendly. We always received an "Hola" and a smile from every staff member. Pools were small yet never had an issue finding a chair. It is a short ride to the beach and we never waited more than 5min for a shuttle. Rooms were spotless and cleaned everyday. It was everything that we were looking for: awesome beach ( close by), nice comfy room, good food and excellent service. The resort is super clean and well organized, it made for a nice little holiday and we will definitely be going back. cheers....

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Great Couples Retreat

Nice resort with a modern design. We had a penthouse suite with rooftop terrace which was a nice escape from the goings-on resort. Excellent, friendly staff. It was only a short tram ride to the beach at the sister resort. Was great to snorkel with the many fish on that section of the reef.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Luxury Bahia Principe Akumal

Enjoyed a thoroughly relaxing week at the beach despite getting a sunburn (my fault). If you've never been to an all inclusive resort, try it at least once, then decide if you want to repeat the experience. The one thing I felt would have been nice is if regularly scheduled bus (public transportation) would have been available to nearby towns. No tour excursions. Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Perfect first time Family Mini Vacation

My husband and I vacation yearly at the Adult Only location of this resit the Sian Kaan. We took my parents, sister, her husband and their 2 boys on a 4 day family vacation to Coba in late October. The weather was perfect. Not to hot and pretty much no rain. The resort was not busy and this made things more relaxing. The rooms were clean, well kept and spacious. The attention that the servers gave to the kids was great. The kids loved the "kiddie area" at the buffet that allowed them easy access to the foods they were mostly likely to want. They could go and serve themselves. My favorite meal of the day was breakfast. The variety of food was awesome and I loved being able to have fresh eggs everyday made the way I liked them. It was my parents first time travelling anywhere and they had a great time. It more than met their expectations. They said they would definitely go back and do 7 days in the future. Even though the resort was not busy, the staff did not give less than 100%. We were entertained daily with fun things to do. Late October is a great time to visit this Resort if you don't like crowded.

Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Good resort

We stayed at this resort from nov 4-11. It rained almost everyday. The room was clean but the safe, which we had to pay $4 per day for didn't work. They fixed it once but then it broke again. The phone in the room didn't work properly. The crib was dirty. The food was good. The Garden grill was excellent, the Dominican a la cart wasn't great. The resort was very big so you would get around by trolly. The beach was excellent. The pool water seemed cloudy. All in all I would rate it a 3 [... read more].5 star and wouldn't return.
