Grand Palladium Jamaica: Amazing Resort

The Grand Palladium was an amazing experience. The resort is very large and there is so much to do. With many beaches and pools, and the great staff, you're sure to have a good time at the Grand Palladium.

Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton: Great Vacation

Good food, wonderful staff...always something to do or see at this resort. The activity staff at the pool and beach will help keep you entertained during the day but they'll leave you alone if that's what you want. Bring your own insulated cup/mug for drinks as the cups are rather small at the bar. We would generally order two drinks at a time each because one was not enough. If you sat at the bar the bartenders will serve you the next drink before you've finished your first so that's not an iss [... read more]ue but if you want to take your drinks away you may find yourself struggling to carry a bunch of drinks. Everyone seemed to have these cups so I'll be bringing them with me next time I go away. The beaches right in front of the main pool have quite a bit of coral in them. We avoided these beaches and went to sunset cove. This was a really nice beach. Not the best we've ever seen but all the amenities at this location made up for it. There is a restaurant right above the beach and the Jerk Hut is here. There's activity staff at this location and the non-motorized water sport equipment is at this location. There's tons of shade at this beach which was wonderful. Normally, it's hard to find a lounger that's in the shade but not at this beach. There was a show every night (some better than others) and a different band every night at the outdoor Infinity bar overlooking the pool. We liked to go to dinner, catch the show and than walk up to the Infinity Bar for drinks and dancing. If you get the munchies the all night snack bar is just below this bar so it's really convenient to grab something to eat and then go back up to the bar or to eat something before you go back to your room. Our room was in building 26 which was beside the main pool and in front of the beach. We had a second level unit so we had beautiful views of both the pool and the beach. The room was really nice and spacious but the bed and pillows were really hard. I think they must be protected in some type of plastic and that's why they're so hard...not the most comfortable bed but we got used to it. The mini fridge does not have a lot in it (two beers, two waters, one coke, one diet coke, one sprite, and one orange drink) but they stocked ours twice a day so we never ran out of drinks. There's a coffee maker in the room too so you can make yourself a coffee in the morning before you leave your room which I liked to do...just sit out on the balcony and people watch as I had my coffee. I would highly recommend this resort but only if you like a more isolated location. There were only the hotel guests and staff at this resort...I saw no locals and the closest town was not one I would go to. Overall, the staff at this resort were probably the best I've every seen. They were so friendly and genuinely helpful. They were always smiling and went out of their way to help you with anything that we needed. I never go to the same resort twice but I would go back to this resort in a heart beat!

Grand Muthu Runaway Bay Club Caribbean: Great time in Jamaica!!

Booked through Tripcentral. Package was by Air Canada vacations. At the Sangster (MBJ) airport the Air Can. rep was easy to spot after leaving customs. If they ask make sure you mention that you're staying in Runaway Bay as there is a Royal Decameron in Montego Bay as well and don't want to be shuttled there by mistake. Airport transfer bus was air conditioned. Transfer to the resort is approximately an hour. Got to the resort around 5pm. They had a drink for us when we got there. Check in was s [... read more]uper fast and friendly, Wifi only available in the lobby and you have to pay $5 for an hour at a time or they sell 24 hours of wifi for $20.00. You have to pay for a safe as well. The bungalows are different than your average hotel room which was nice. Feels like you have more privacy. However at night they have these birds that just don't stop making noise until sunrise. Kind of annoying for the wife but I didn't mind and slept well ;) Buffet was small but food was amazing. 8 main dishes, salad bar, dessert bar, grill station. The food was amazing. They also have an omelette station in the morning at the grilling station. They had two a la cartes which you could go to every night if you want, book at the front desk. Again the food and service there was excellent as well. People there are generally super friendly so we tipped as much as we could $1 or 2. And most people can get you "anything" you need LOL On the 4th day the manager came up to my wife and I and asked if we wanted to check out the other Royal Decameron resort at Montego Bay so we agreed. They called us a taxi the resort prepaid for and we were taken over there within a couple of hours.Overall a great experience at Royal Decameron Club Caribbean.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: great resort

We found it a bit loud and very busy. It is more for younger crowd. Disco was very loud the first night and kept us awake till it closed. Must of had complains as the rest of our time it was not as loud.

Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton: Relaxing

The hotel is beautiful, small beach areas, great food and drink, staff other than the front desk staff were great. Room was to be ready at 3pm and front desk staff kept telling us to come back in half an hour. 4:45 by the time we got our room and this was with the Imperial Club upgrade. Just be honest and we could have gotten our bathing suit out of our luggage and gone for a swim. Would we go back ? Yes

Grand Decameron Montego Beach: The worst Management ever

The food is amazing, the entertainment also.However, We left for an incursion on the wednesday, november 19,2014 and when we giot back, noticed that we had some clothes missing. We went to see the management it took two day , the day that we had to leave and the ended up paying the value of our clothes. Imagine going back home , in the -20 with no pants

Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: Outstanding Resort

I found the Resort, the Staff, and the overall frienliness was a major part in making this an outstanding week at the Iberostar, I certainly will be going back, but possibly for longer, maybe 10 days or 2 weeks, it was just fantastic

The Oasis at Sunset: Unreal!

Everything met all and exceeded most of my expectations! Great service, clean, beautiful beach, and very comfortable as it also makes you feel at home. The terrace eating area was unreal because of the quality of the place and especially the food

Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton: Not the greatest for service

Food was good, room was good, but service was awful. Beaches were wonderful especially Coral beach, lots of great snorkeling. if you upgrade make sure you get and understand what is supposed to come with your package. Also apparently you have to fight to get towels...

Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites: Great time for a family!

Great food, grounds, people. Close to airport. Loved it. We travelled with a 10 month old. Staff were great. Hotel is very clean. Beach is a tad rocky but they work at cleaning it up daily. We will return.

Riu Negril: Awesome Week

The friendly staff made this a most enjoyable week. We were the oldest couple there. We loved the food and the activities the staff had to keep the young couples entertained. Walk the 2 miles of beautiful beach and take the sailboat out for a spin. cheers

Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: VERY GOOD RESORT

IT IS A GOOD RESPORT, FOOD IS GREAT, SERVICE IS GREAT (slow at a la cartes) VERY FRIENDLY PEOPLE, BEACH IS AWFUL, LOTS OF ROCKS, DECOR IS UP TO DATE, BUT NOT MUCH TO DO AT NIGHT, WE ARE SMOKERS, SO THE SITTING AREA OUSTISDE IS SOMEWHAT LIMITED FOR 13 PEOPLE. NOT MUCH ENTERTAINMENT AT NIGHT ( no steel band, live band, dancing etc..) BUT IF THE PRICE REMAINS AROUND $900.00 WE WOULD ALL GO BACK. NEEDS ACTION AT NIGHT.

Sandals Negril: Amazing Resort

The resort and beach were beautiful. From the simple grilled food at the beach Bistro to the fine dining restaurants, all the food was amazing. To top it all off, the staff was extremely friendly and will make sure your having the time of your life.

Riu Ocho Rios: "WOW" yea mon

Wow what a holiday, sun, sand, food and booze. I have some problem with my knee and was given a room very far from the lobby, restaurant, pool and beach, after talking to Richard at the front desk this situation was corrected the next day, when another room became available in the main building. We went on a trip to Dunn's and i was easily able to climb to the top on the walkway, while my wife walked up the Falls with her group holding hands (she recommend holding hands as the rocks were slipper [... read more]y). The trip was over in a very short time, just enough time to drink two beers on the trip back to take the bus from the falls to the Riu Ocho Rios. We also went to the Blue Hole, the only way to explain this is "WOW" our guide Lloyd Murray was fantastic, he took pictures with on hand while guiding my wife who walked up the falls and she swam, swung and dived into the Blue Hole. Thanks to our driver Mikey, who had a very hilarious laugh he also took us on a guided tour of "Ochos", we went to The Rainbow Shopping Center where we bought some outer wear. Rainbow Stores offered to us make more purchases and take it with us and they will collect payment at our hotel (are they Canadians? so trusting) later in cash or credit card. The next day i ordered a swim suit for my wife and had it delivered in the requested time. The only sore point was no services for the disabled ( there were a lot of senior citizens with varied disability) , i spoke to the Manager and she promised to make my observation known to the management team. (she offered for one of her staff member to wheel me around in a wheel chair LoL)

Riu Montego Bay: Good

People were nice, the beach had seaweed so much that a bulldozer was on the beach with us the first day but I guess it was from storm they had, the sand in the water was mushy so didn't go in the water there, the wine was undrinkable. The food was good and plentiful and the cocktails were good. The room was nice.

Riu Palace Jamaica: Beautiful Resort

The food and rooms were amazing. The staff was very friendly and the service was awesome. The resort was very clean and well laid out. Was nice and small, everything was close. Only reason I would not rate it a 5 star is the beach is man made and not very nice. It was very murky and lots of seaweed. The sand was rough, not soft. I would definitely return.

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: wonderful time!

This travel experience was impressive right from the start. The luxury option is worth it. Check in was smooth, quick and relaxed. Room service was a great feature as we had breakfast every morning on our private balcony. We received unlimited a la carte dinners - take advantage of the excellent chef's suggestions which were usually steak. The weather was fantastic - we went in late October. The only down side was the beach area. It was small and felt a little cramped. The ocean however was as I [... read more] like it. I could go far out and the water only came up to my chest. The service was prompt and top notch. As nothing is perfect - this came close.

Riu Negril: fantastic resort

the hotel is an excellent resort.The rooms were very clean and made up quickly every day and the room fridge restocked.The staff were very friendly and ready to help in any way.We had a problem with air conditioning and was resolved with a different room.The food was excellent.The beach was one the best we have been on.Calm water and great snorkeling.We went shopping and the prices were reasonable to very good.Its to bad the resort wasnt a little closer to the airport.I forgot to mention the ent [... read more]ertainment every night was good.Overall it was an excellent trip and would go back to this resort again.Thanks trip central.

Catalonia Montego Bay: Wonderful holiday for the price

On arrival we were disappointed to learn we were not in rooms easily accessible to amenities as requested. One in our party had mobility issues. We were placed at the extreme end of the resort. We had paid for supreme rooms and were not given these as well. However, the next day this was rectified. The food, rooms and staff were wonderful. Beach has a muddy bottom but travelled with noodle and spent lots of time floating. Really nice because of man made island no currents. Great snorkelling.
