Riu Merengue: Amazing Vacation!!

1 week, with the plan of relaxing and drinking. Success! The staff are very friendly, and I loved the swim up bar. Access to sister resorts beside Merengue was great! Not the best beach, but what I expected. Loved having access to free wifi 90min/day in the lobby to check in with friends and family. Great resort to meet other guest and make new friends :)

Riu Emerald Bay: Great Resort

LOVED the resort......needs work on the food...food not five star food. Needs more ala carts and better food at the ala carts. The two ala carts are buffet style again. As far as going to the Italian restaurant. ...same as having the pasta at the buffet.

Riu Flamingos: Awesome!

Everything was great. Will go back. Lisa was awesome, everything she said came true. The room was great, had an interior view of the court yard. Food at the buffet was great, a huge selection, really have no complaints.

Riu Palace Paradise Island: Amazing resort!

The Riu Paradise Island was all we expected and more. The food as amazing, the beach was beautiful, and the service was friendly. Being able to walk next door to check out the Paradise Island Atlantis resort was cool too. We saw Michael Douglas at the marina there!

Riu Negril: Nice resort but rooms need updating

Dining and food was good. Rooms not so great. Beach very nice. Liked that it was close to rooms and had lots of loungers. We didn't use the pools so can' review them. We had a long delay leaving Toronto due to weather and when we finally arrived couldn't get a drink as all bars were closed. Think there should be more bars with entertainment and open longer as older people don't want to go to disco. We were not happy with Sunwing as we should have been told there would be a delay but when we chec [... read more]ked we were told everything was on time. Think we had a 6 hour delay.

Riu Palace Paradise Island: Great Resort

The food in the Bahamas was the best we've ever had including this resort. Everything was great except the beach had an undertone so probably shouldn't use....pool was nice but not overly large....Overall, not a bad resort but next time would maybe go to Cable beach area to stay because we do like to go into the ocean.

Grand Memories Varadero: Great Resort.....but too big for Cuba!

The grounds were very well kept, people were fabulous, rooms were very nice, beach was very nice, the guy who sold fresh piña colodas on the beach was amazing....and the pool was one of the nicest I have been to!! The problem was that they kept running out of things....like Vodka..?...and Ice for drinks...?.....and food...?..... I don't think Cuba is capable of running a resort of this size.....especially in Veradero.....this is the second time this has happened to us in Veradero.....so, we pro [... read more]bably won't return to Veradero again.

Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: Fabulous resort

This is our second time at this resort in Puerto Plata! The food was wonderful - lots of selection. Pool and grounds were very well maintained. The staff was extraordinary (trust me - I'm a tough critic). Upgraded our room to ocean view - well worth it. The only complaint we had was with the air conditioning in our room. Although the staff was attentive to the problem, it would appear that the air conditioning in general in the resort should be serviced or changed. 

Grand Memories Varadero: Great resort for families and singles.

Riu Varadero was a great resort. The grounds are maintained beautifully, the resort is clean, the entertainment is exceptional, the beach is great with areas of sun and shade and the pools are perfect for everyone young and old. I did experience some issues with the air conditioner and plumbing in my room but the staff's response was prompt and courteous. After a quick look by a mechanic, they determined they could not fix the problem and quickly changed our room. I was travelling with my 1 year [... read more] old and they provided porters to help us move into the new room (which included having to move the crib that they provided for my son). The food was your typical Cuban food. With the exception of the gourmet a la carte, I would recommend staying at the buffet. Overall I was happy with the resort and I think it provided good value for money. It's also a huge resort which means they have options for families, singles, young and old.

Sol Turquesa Beach: Love Playa Turquesa

This is our 4th trip back to Playa Turquesa. This hotel is very large and there is a lot of walking. Which is good after a lot of sitting. It's very well kept, and very clean. The rooms are large and well kept. We love it here. It's the people that work her that make this resort so amazing. If there is anything that you need just ask and they will do there best to accomadate. We have made some great friends and will return again. The beach is beautiful and the food it great. Riu Emerald Bay: Great Vacation

We booked an all inclusive vacation at Rui emerald Bay in Mazatland Mexico through Trip Central. We went in March for a much needed break and booked through Trip Central.ca. Very accurate description of hotel and resort and honest reviews and pictures. It was a very nice hotel and resort, and for the price was well worth it. Did some off resort excursions which were fun, well organized and affordable. It was a nice beach and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The agents at Trip Central were helpful and made booking this fun trip easy and comfortable.

Riu Vallarta: Good place

A very good all inclusive spot. The best part about it was the staff, but everything else was great. The shows, restaurants, scenery.... it's the total package. I highly recommend this place to anyone going to Vallarta.

Riu Santa Fe: Great Resort

Overall a good resort. The grounds were clean, rooms & dining areas clean. Friendly staff. Food was good, however my husband did get food poisining. So because of this we were not able to enjoy the trip as much as we wanted. Enjoyed the Baja coast

Sol Turquesa Beach: Perfect vacation! (we had perfect weather too!)

Beautiful grounds (gardens and pools!!) & beach. The staff are super happy, friendly and helpful. Always something good to eat (remember their selection is limited and they're catering to different cultures). Highlights were having the person on the beach take us out on a catamaran and drop off us off at a nice snorkeling spot (close enough to swim back) - we took a paddle boat out to the same spot again later in the week and taking the scooter (cheap rentals right at the resort) into the market [... read more] in Guatalavarta (sp?) - countryside is BEAUTIFUL (mountains, farms ...) - get out & about for at least a day! Our shady balcony way a great rest spot after a day on the beach before dinner. Ask for the 400 block.

Riu Palace Peninsula: Stunning Resort!

Everything was top notch. The food at all of the restaurants was awesome. We stayed in the adults only section and it was a fabulous upgrade with a nice private pool and drink service at the pool. We will definitely stay here again.

Riu Santa Fe: Awesome resort

Completely different from anywhere we have ever been. Something for everyone at this place. If you can't find something to do here you should have probably stayed home. Huge resort with beautiful grounds and lots of amenities. great food and drinks. Friendly helpful staff. Clean updated rooms. A great place to stay. Would love to go back with a bigger group for a second visit. Recommend going on the whale watching expedition in the Zodiac boat for the thrill of a lifetime! Riu Caribe Cancun: Awesome resort and excellent service!!!!

I love staying at RIU hotels and RIU Caribe met my standards! The jospitLity was impeccable and the staff was sooooo accommodating . The food had plentiful choices , the day and nightly entertainment was super fun and the hotel was extremely clean!!! Highly recommend this hotel!!

Riu Yucatan: FIRST RIULAND EXPERIENCE!!!

Flawless vacation top notch entertainment and accommodation......Food fabulous not only in taste but in presentation as well. Staff remarkable everything positive....newly upgraded with bright cheery colours.....would definitely come back here.....

Riu Palace Jamaica: amazing resort

Loved everything about it...would definitely stay at a riu again and recommend it to all my friends and familie.....can't wait to return ...friendly staff and always helpful. .and can't forget how great all the food and drinks were...

Riu Bambu: This was truly an amazing resort!!!!!!

Had an amazing first time trip to the Dominican Republic! The Resort, facilities and food were amazing. The staff were all very friendly. Had a great time and will return again! We got an amazing price from Trip Central as well!
