Riu Republica: Disappointed

We booked our first time 14 days and was expecting to be in a 5 star. The food was not a 5 star and the resort is too big for the amount of staff. They are understaffed. The cleanliness is not the greatest but must say our room was always done and cleaned. Our room was too far from the beach and no trolleys on site.

Riu Republica: Great hotel

Really enjoyed our girls’ week at the RIU República. Our room was in a building very close to the main pools and restaurants, so it was very easy to get around. The property is well maintained, the staff excellent, and the food very good. Can’t say I like the system used to get into an a la cart restaurant, but most resorts seem to struggle with this. Barcelo Bavaro Palace: Very large resort

Our vacation was great but we wouldn’t go back to this resort. Our room had a number of issues (leaking ceiling, broken mirror, cockroaches) the resort is very large and has something for everyone. I think we just had bad luck with our specific room. No bar on the beach which was different compared to other resorts we’ve been to.

Sensatori Resort Punta Cana: Perfection

So clean. Well kept. Amazing food and ample choices. Staff very helpful and friendly. Up to date decor and very upscale. Our stay was very relaxing. Comfortable and lots of fun. Will go again and recommend to others!

Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Great resort

The grounds were beautiful. The hotel is a great well maintained facility. Food, service and staff were excellent both in the buffet and a la carte restaurants. Couple of minor issues we had were dealt with promptly. It is a large resort with a lot of choices. Getting around the resort is no problem with the frequent (every few minutes) trolley service. This was our second visit to the Grand Bahia Principe.

Grand Memories Punta Cana: Awesome resort

Hotel was very clean, staff were excellent -- friendly, helpful and quick to respond to any concerns. Beach was very nice but waves quite large most of our week which deterred some people from going in the ocean. Very family/child oriented resort. Lots of activities for children. What I appreciated most was that there was rarely waiting times -- didn't seem overcrowded and there was always lounge chairs, etc. available.

Riu Republica: Amazing resort

Just returned from 7day stay. Awesome Holliday excellent accommodation,food and services enjoyed every minute. Staff was very curtious and unimposing. Grounds are big and well kept from pools to gardens, there is something for everyone.Would definitely go again.

Royalton Splash Punta Cana: Fantastic stay !!

This was the best all inclusive stay we have ever had. The kids had the time of their lives and my wife and I actually did as well (even with a 3 and 5 year old :). ) The water slide park is a absolutely great time and super fun. I am a chef and I thought the food was very good. Especially the buffets. Michael Jackson show was really well done and the room quality was better than expected. Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Not worth the money

The staff were super friendly... the food was always cold at the buffets and at the a la cartes except at the Rio and the Grazie the rooms were not taken care of properly we were always lacking toilet paper etc. Rooms and service for them were not consistent with one other our friends got better service some days and then we would other days it was strange. The travel smart people were rude and very pushy... I had to get up an walk away after them not wanting to take no thank you for an answer and wasting 3 and a half hours of my day... that was the biggest annoyance on the trip and they kept trying to insinuate that we must be poor!!! Pissed me right off!!! I might go back to the DR but never to that resort and probably try to avoid Sunwing as they were not keeping up to date with the flight delays at the resort and they started to bus us to the airport even after I told them it was a major delay and they then brought us back to the resort. The entertainment was very lacking and not up to par... the only good show was the Queen tribute anywhere else I’ve been has had far better shows etc so for a 5 star we were disappointed as far as our group was concerned the whole trip was a let down

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Unbelievable!

This the best word I ca.n think of to describe this fabulous resort. It was our first trip to the Dominican Republic so we were somewhat apprehensive as to what to expect. Well, the Grand Bahia Principe in Punta Cana far exceeded what we expected. The beaches and many pools were incredible! I have never seen beaches so beautiful Yes, there were lots of people on the beaches but there was also tons of room for everyone. And the food!! Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Very Nice Resort

We stayed in the Presidential one bedroom with overview, it was very nice. Two fully stocked Mini bars, massive balcony, massive bathroom. The one issue was the pushy sales guys promoting time share and dangling a free gazebo on beach for the time waste. We opted out as soon as it took 20 minutes for them to just just get organized. Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Great Resort

Initially put in a well below average room that had several issues, after talking to the hotels front desk staff, they changed our room and redeemed themselves. Overall a great stay. Will be back to book with Trip Central for the fourth time!!

Caribe Deluxe Princess: Great Atmosphere!

My friends and I just got back to the bitter cold but we were grateful for the week at the Caribe Club Princess :) They did a great job of making us forget the cold! Loved the beaches the people and the sun!

Occidental Punta Cana: Nice resort

The hotel was nice the grounds were nice and clean and tidy the staff are very friendly the beach is amazing the food was good also breakfast was amazing ala carte were okay The only problem I thought was that the front lobby bar close too early should stay open a little bit later 11 is too early

Excellence Punta Cana: Truly Excellent Resort

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Excellence Punta Cana. While the room was great and the food good, the staff were the best - very attentive and a real joy to be around. The beach is nice but the water is not calm and there is an undertow. We enjoyed playing in the waves but some may not. The entertainment is better than most we have seen and the entertainment team were engaging but not pushy. Caribe Deluxe Princess: FANTASTIC RESORT !

Sensatori Resort Punta Cana: Great Resort for Families!

SENSATORI and Nickelodeon share a property, although there are sufficient “Adult Only” restaurants, bars and pools, the resort is primarily geared towards kids and families-that being said, what a fantastic job they do at catering to families. All in all, we would return. The only downside was there is a distinguished hierarchy or guests; Sensatori, Nickelodeon, Premium and Prestige are all treated a tad differently, but we weren’t too fussed. Blau Natura Park Resort: Relaxing resort!

Beautiful pool area, tranquil setting with numerous walkways and foot bridges surrounding you with ponds and birds. Plentiful buffets of high quality foods. Good hospitality from servers. Disappointed with activities and most nightly shows were all in Spanish and ended too soon. No night life to speak of or dancing opportunities. Perfect resort to relax and unwind. Some people complained about their rooms with air conditioners leaking, fridges and TVs not working or funky smelling rooms.  [... read more]Weather was great for beach with water activities offered for free such as sailing, paddle boats, etc.

Barcelo Bavaro Palace: Awesome resort

Rooms awesome, food great, pools amazing, view amazing. We were a group and had great time in the resortz. Loved the disco, Food, Room cleanliness, Public areas cleanliness, Beds, bathrooms. We would highly recommend this

Riu Republica: really good resort great for adults

very clean rooms, beautiful grounds & beach areas, friendly staff. Food not outstanding but acceptable. Entertainment such as pools parties, etc bar service really good. no shortage of things to do both on site and other riu location
