Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Amazing vacation spit

The amenities and services were outstanding. Excellent food, great service, friendly staff. The sea is coral in spots, so water shoes are helpful. Bring snorkel gear, children will be amazed at the fish in the water. The sea is calmed for erosion purposes, which does not give a clear, unobstructed view, but otherwise, it was lively. We have chosen this resort in Mexico, close to major attractions, so once you arrive, it's not far to see other major sites. Our Dominican experience was equally satisfying. We'll come again.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Great time!!

The grounds are beautiful! There were always trams to get around the resort. Everyone was pleasant and happy to assist. Coba beach was small but nice not as rocky as Talums. Taking a tram to the beach was not a hassel at all, I was expecting it to be. Entertainment was okay of what we did see. At the Hacienda the band was great wish it could've been longer for those who do go to the night club. During the Fiesta Mexicana there was nothing for those who didn't go. But the time slot we got was WAY TOO LATE! 1030PM We went with a group of 10 and all enjoyed and said we would go back.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Great resort!

Clean, well kept grounds and rooms. Staff was extremely friendly everywhere. The hacienda don Isabel had nightly entertainment and a Mexican themed party you could buy tickets for. The beach was a short trolley ride away with kayaks and SUPs you could use.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Best resort so far

Stayed at the Luxury Esmerelda and loved it!! The beach was beautiful! We went out every morning at 6 a.m. to watch the sunrise and every morning the beach had already been raked up of any debris! We walked along the beach both ways and not one resort was even close to as well maintained as our resort. Although the water was a little rough that week the water was clear and warm! We had waiter service on the beach and a waiter came around with sandwiches and pop as well. We chose a different A'la carte dinner every night which gave us lots of variety and all were delicious although our favorite was defiantly the Don Pablo. Our room was beautiful, large and had a great view. There were lots of extras we didn't use like the butler service, bell boys, scented pillows, and room service but they were available. The maids did a great job and although its not something I require there were little extra touches like flower petals on the bed or in the bathroom each day. The fridge being restocked daily was nice as well. Premium drinks at the bar was a big deal for us as well. I am also not one for the shows at night but here was cirque like show and a Michael Jackson show (which I usually find so tacky) that were both amazing. I think the only thing I would recommend because there are quite a few resorts all in one is for there to be something maybe in the Esmerelda lobby maybe a TV or something that shows what is going on in each resort in the evening!! We had a beach party the first night that was amazing and had we not stumbled upon it we would not have known. This is a small resort with access to several other resorts so you have the best of both worlds. Only Luxury resort patrons can use the Luxury resort facilities so its nice quiet and not to hard to get a seat at the pool or the beach but because you have access to the other resorts lots of shopping restaurants and the disco This was our 3rd time to the DR and this was by far our best vacation!!! I'm not one to return to the same place twice but I think we may with this one

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Owesome vacation

Hotel room is good, foods not bad, servicing staff very friendly, like restaurent...bar...front desk.....shuttle bus driver..... Greenly in the garden, beautiful grass, wonderful beach......actually very comforable trip.

This resort is fantastic. Everything was great:ground,room,food and especially the service. Everyone works very hard and they very professional. We had amazing time in Esmeralda. Love this resort!!!! We really recommend this resort. This resort has everything what you need. If you go ther you will live in paradise

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Great resort

Friendly staff, beautiful resort, nice beach with a little walking, but well worth it. Food was ok, with the large assortment everyone will find something they enjoy. It was an hour long drive from the airport to the resort so you got a chance to see a bit of Jamaica.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Resort is beautiful, but service was lousy

We generally had a great time. The resort was beautiful and clean. However, no matter whether you tip or not, you get rather poor service. It happened a few times that we were completely ignored by waiters, where we didn't even receive water with our lunch. We were also expecting to be served drinks while on the beach but that did not happen. None of the beach bars were actually open. The ride from the Sian Kaan to the beach was about 10 mins via trolley. Next time we will try another resort.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Grand Bahia Principe Tulum

1. There are couple of places in the hotel is under renovation including lobby and the area where people meet for tea, coffee and chit-chat 2. We arrived at the hotel past 1 pm. Check-In was slow and out of the 6 rooms, only 1 room is available, the rest waited till 3 pm. 3. The room in general is fine except in my room, the toilet bowl seat is shifting, the bath tub not draining effectively. Water accumulate to above ankle when finished shower but subside gradually afterward. Told housekeepin [... read more]g but not fix. 4. Mattress is kind of old resulted middle of the bed sink 5. It's ridiculous for requiring to pay US$5 per day for using safe deposit box in the room. 6. Housekeeping service not stable. I get to know 2 or 3 of our 6 rooms were not clean till found at past 2 pm and called. And worst is that repeated twice or thrice during our one week stay. 7. The beach is not as beautiful as in the picture shown above. In reality, there are lots of HUGE rock along the beach. You can only go till the depth upto your waist or abdomen. 8. Services from staff are good in general. 9. Foods and drinks in general are also fine except too salty, especially the soup, and too sweet in drinks and desserts. And from restaurant Pescador, both foods and drinks is below expectation. Soup is only warm and foods are overcooked. At Le Gourmet, my medium rare fillet mignon arrived with 90% cooked. I told the waiter who told me will tell the chef but didn't offer to replace it or change to other dish. I didn't request either. All these matters restrict me to give "fair" in average though there are areas that are good. Example, services at buffet, services at customer relations, some at front desk, shuttle and porter inside resort.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Fantastic resort... if you'er not a beach fan

It was a pleasant stay at GBP Tulum. We are a group of 12 people in 6 rooms. We all enjoyed the resort and the people that work there, from front desk to housekeeping maids. Rooms are recently renovated and look great. Although the on-going renovation of the lobby gave us some inconvenience, we were all impressed with the hotel management with the temporary arrangements. Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Fantastic!

Every aspect of this resort is A plus! Beautiful, clean, fun, friendly, and relaxing! Great country and location! Off site excursions also amazing! I will for sure recommend this resort to friends and family! Hope to return on a regular basis!

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: A great getaway!

We visited from Oct. 13-20, 2016. Sian Ka'an is a beautiful resort; the grounds are well maintained and the immediate surroundings are jungle-like. Our Junior Suite was very nice though it could have used a floor or table lamp to brighten things up. And the lighting in the spacious bathroom was inadequate. The resort itself is not that large so pool areas, bars and restaurants were never crowded. And there were no children! The beach itself was great and with the adjoining Akumal and Tulum properties, there was plenty of beach to walk. There are several gyms but all are very small; even the largest (at Tulum) has only two treadmills and two recumbents plus other equipment. And you have to rely on the shuttles which don't start operating until 7 a.m. Since that is the same time the fitness centres open, the treadmills, etc. are usually taken by the time you arrive via the shuttle. Food at the buffet was quite good but theme nights were a bit disappointing; the only thing Canadian on Canada night was the flag, nothing in the area of cuisine! There was more appropriate cuisine of Asian night, but there were Asian dishes every night. We visited one of the on-site ala cartes and the beef was very good. The other ala carte we tried (at Tulum) turned out to be closed, which was disappointing. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. We would consider going back in the future.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Relax in paradise

The rooms were beautiful and accommodating, the staff were friendly and very helpful for all and any needs. The food and all around atmosphere was fantastic. We plan on booking this hotel again next year for the third time.

Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Grand Bahia Principi El Portillo

Very clean well run resort loved the pool and the food was delicious !, Staff was excellent and rooms were comfortable , more english stations on Telly would have been nice watched the Bluejays with a Spanish announcer !

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Excellent resort

The hotel was very good. Dining room and A la Carte food was good as well, lot of variety and both red and white wines. Wi-fi was available 24 hours. The beach truly beautiful and had good facilities. The hotel staff was very friendly and always helpful. The room was always kept clean.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Amazing Resort!

This was our 2nd stay at the Luxury Bahia Principe Akumal. We where there last year at the same time frame. We where even able to get the same building with ocean-view room again. This resort has everything your looking for and more! Water is ,well what can I say but great. Fish all around you while your swimming.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Couples Vacation

We just returned from Bahia Principe Punta Cana where we upgraded to the Golden section. The room was clean and comfortable but the mattress wasn't new thus not the most comfortable. We had a leak in our room during a rainy storm but the staff quickly cleaned it up and checked to make sure it wouldn't happen again. The cleaning staff was thoughtful and restocked our fridge daily with our choice of drinks which we wrote on a notepad for them. They weren't over the top impressive and frankly we preferred the buffet which had plenty of choices. The beach is nice and there's plenty of chairs. With so many pools we always found places to relax. The night shows were great!

Cayo Levantado Resort: Amazing Honeymoon destination!

We selected this resort as our honeymoon destination and we couldn't have been happier with our choice!! The grounds are so lush and well kept and the staff are amazing - they go out of their way to make your stay so enjoyable. The food was delicious. We ate at all of the a la carte restaurants and the Don Pablo was our favourite. The 2 beaches were great for swimming and you can alternate between them easily. We also spent a couple of days at the public beach which was very nice. We s [... read more]pent most of our time between the hotel beaches and the beach pool which included drink service and also enjoyed some afternoons in the Jacuzzi pool - a little used pool with it's own bar. A great little hideaway space! Would definitely recommend this hotel to friends!

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: It was OKAY but I would not come back

Hotel Chain: This is the 3rd and last time I’ll stay at a resort with the Grand Bahia Principle Hotel Chains, they are notorious for two things worst coffee service/quality ever and aggressive time share high-pressure salespeople. This chain of hotel offers cheap quality coffee from machines that is more than half the time broken. The bartenders are unwilling to make coffee or cappuccinos from the actual machines because apparently it’s broken or my favorite “coffee service is over use [... read more] machines” (this is the same excuse at all three resorts I have been too). On top of that it’s the cheap Nescafe instant coffee served with processed milk that comes from a box that does not need to be refrigerated. Thus if you are a coffee fan don’t go to any of the Grand Bahia Principe Chains its all the same. Second the Time Share sells people who wants you to upgrade your quality of vacation by purchasing a time share of 30 weeks to the Don Pablo black wrist bands luxury service for $20k at any Grand Bahia Principe resorts. On top of that you have to purchase flights and transportation to the resort and if its not the Grand Bahia Principle you have to pay an extra $317 + taxes for each week you stay. You are also excluded from countries like Cuba etc. If you really take the time to break it down and call their helpline to ask for cost of flights and transportation, you will find its not any cheaper to book yourself but instead this forces you to only travel to their allowed resorts for the next 30 years and get the luxury services of an upgraded room and better bar shelf. Coba Resort itself: Coba resort good, lots of iguanas and raccoon like creatures strolling around. The food and buffets are good, a lot better than the Jamaica Grand Bahia Resort. Service is always good if you hold a tip in your hand. The Snack bar is no service basically whether you have a tip or not just miserable people there. The beach is further away and you have to wait for a trolley to come and drop you off. If you want walking distance to the beach like every other resort move to the Tulum side of the resort. Beaches all have major rocks in them so bring water shoes. Definitely not a 5 star as advertised on their signs. Air Transat: Nothing special, same service as Sunwing and other travel agencies. They just want you to book tours and excursions through them.
