Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: Nice resort

My wife and I were looking to get away for a week together and this was a great place. We stayed on the resort the whole and we're able to decompress and relax. This is a very nice and small resort with beautiful grounds. The beach was great with lots of trees for shade and overall not too busy. Rooms were great and close to everything. The buffet was very good and we were very well taken care of the staff. The food at the a la carte was ok and it was disappointing that people could smoke at the [... read more]ir tables - big turn off and we did not go back to the a la cartes after the first time.

Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: FANTASTIC TIME

We visited in December 2013. When we arrived at the hotel we were greeted with friendly staff and we had no problems getting to our rooms, the front desk staff was very efficient. The rooms we received was to be ocean view but only had 1/4 view of water and 3/4 of side of the hotel looking to a road way. We called down to the front desk to see if we could have a full view of ocean for I wasn't well and had to spend most of my time in room and they were very accommodating. Our next room was full  [... read more]view of ocean on the upper floor we were amazed!! The buffet had a lot of variety no complaints and the services was top notch. The beach was lovely lots of white sand very clean. I'm more of a pool person and spent most of our time there, it was well maintained and clean. Service around the pool was good, we only had to get ourselves a drink a few times during the week. On departure our flight was cancelled due to weather and the travel adviser was not well informed at his job, this is my only complaint which has nothing to due with the hotel. We walked over to the Riu Jalisco to find out how they were handling there guest and after 3 hours of waiting we found out that we would not be flying home and their guest were already taken care of. Back to our Hotel we informed our travel adviser and immediately the hotel re booked us back into rooms. I will definitely go back to the Riu Palace, one of my best vacations.

Riu Merengue: We loved this resort

The grounds were outstanding. The food excellent. The employees very friendly. The beach was beautiful and is very long and roomy. We enjoyed the variety of excursions and the resort offered so many amenities. I would have loved to see more variety for the entertainment side, but the number of pools, bars and restaurants made up for that. I would recommend this resort.

Riu Palace Tropical Bay: Beautiful resort

This resort was very well maintained including the best beach and water for cleanliness(no grass or rocks in water).The restaurants were very clean but the system for booking is totally outdated(standing inline at 7:30 am for the next day??) the only thing they need to do is add some bathrooms at or near the beach as you have to walk all the way back to almost the front desk!

Riu Palace Aruba: Relaxing time

Beautiful place, lots of restaurants and bars. Freddie in the main lobby bar is a fantastic ambassador for the Riu brand. Outside the resort is very secure and safe to walk about. The islanders are very friendly, so it made for a very relaxing trip. The older side of the resort could us some upgrading to the rooms and this to me was the only downside of our stay.

Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: Good quality for the price

Second time visiting this resort. Grounds are nice, food is ok. Was better the year before although there is lots of choice and no one was ever hungry . For the price the value is good, it's very clean and the staff are very friendly. It's more like a 3.5-4 star.

Grand Memories Varadero: Awesome Staff

Unfortunately half of the resort was closed when we were there at the end of May. What was open, was kept clean and the staff was always very atentive. One thing that did bother us was the wheel chair access bathroom by the pool area. We complained that the door was locked and we required access, however it was never fixed for the entire week we were there. Access to the International restaurant was not wheel chair accessable either. These things would have made it much easier for us.

Riu Merengue: Excellent Staff

The staff were great and very efficient and super friendly! The food was amazing with so much to choose from! The resort was very clean and well kept. The Steakhouse was delicious. I would go back to the resort in a minute.

Grand Memories Varadero: Fantastic Resort

The hotel was fantastic. The rooms were very comfortable and the staff were very pleasant and there were no complaints there. There were plenty of activities to keep everyone busy. We did do day tours to Havana and Matanzas. I preferred the tour to Matanzas. The tour guide, Sergio, was fantastic - Good sense of humour and very knowledgeable. Spoke Russian, Spanish and English. The food was good, although at times there were no plates in the dining area - probably because of the volume of people [... read more]. Overall, our stay was great and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to go to Varadero.

Riu Palace Tropical Bay: Very Nice Resort

Amazing Beaches and pools, The staff was great, The property is clean and well managed. The day time entertainment was engaged and lively, some of the evening shows could have been better. The food had a nice mix... but could have been more local.. Really enjoyed the Jerk Hut.... Yummy!!

Riu Negril: All you could want and more!

We stayed at the Club Riu Hotel in beautiful Negril, Jamaica. It was our 25th wedding anniversary and we were treated like royalty with an upgraded room. Food was excellent as well as the staff. There is a fish sanctuary on the resort where you can see fish in their natural habitat. I have stayed at the resort 4 times now and will be going back in February. Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: "Amazing getaway destination"

Outstanding Hotel service, food , grounds, entertainment, friendly and always accomodating staff. Riu Palace is my destination of choice because of these qualities of what they deliver to their guests. Riu Palace Costa Rica: Perfect holiday lication

A beautiful resort with great weather and wonderful people. Never better. Food was great drinks were well done and served continually. Trips to the cloud forest were long but beautiful. Love Costa Rica. We will defiantly go back to the palace

Riu Vallarta: Great resort!

Hotel is situated on a beautiful beach. Great for walking. Close to town for tours. While the hotel looks really huge, it is quite easy to get around. There are 2 pools, one for adults and one for children. At night the band plays in the centre and there is lots of dancing for all ages.

Riu Merengue: great spot to vacation

resort clean and well maintained.....beautiful gardens, clean beach, clean washrooms even on beach, good food and great service........this was our second time at this resort and we enjoyed just as much this time as the first

Riu Santa Fe: Beautiful Resort

Absolutely georgous resort. Beautiful scenery, with the mountains and ocean. Resort is located in a cove where the gulf of California meets the Pacific Ocean. Food was great on the resort! Buffett was delicious! Los Cabo was a great and fun city to walk around, try some authentic Mexican cuisine. Report was unreal will be hard to ever beat. Will be coming back to the Sante Fe for many years

Riu Negril: Older resort, amazing service

We were recommended this resort from a friend....well the location is awesome, the resort is older, smaller and purple!! Not our taste!! The room was small and well overdue for a renovation, and soon!! Everything worked and was comfortable and clean, but difficult to use hot water around 3-6pm daily. Not good when you're trying to ready yourself for dinner!! Mini bar in room was nice, vodka, rum, gin etc...and mix as well. Dinner reservation making was terrible, you had to go daily and hope they [... read more] had room, but if you did get reservations the food was fantastic and the service was impeccable. The entertainment crew was beyond amazing, they were friendly and funny, a really talented group of people!! The beach is not on the famed seven mile strip, it's in a bay and was very murky for most of the week....creepy, especially when it cleared the amount of stingrays would blow your mind!!! The beach was clean and lots of room....but no shade palapas, just trees in spots, so lots of no see ums....which bite, and are itchy!! Kids club we noticed was less than desirable, but the staff made the best of what they had....again it's the staff that make this place, always some kind of event or game or just fun to be had. Now the worst part was the pool...so small and people would eat and smoke and well hang in the pool by the bar all day....you know what that means....especially since there is only one bathroom in the lobby...even the restaurants had no bathrooms, you had to leave you dinner to go to the lobby to use the washroom!!!!! They had two small pools, one with a bar and one mostly for water sports, use the latter, it's much cleaner!! I wouldn't go back to this resort unless it was really cheap!!

Riu Vallarta: I loved this resort!

The grounds were always immaculate, the staff inside and outside were friendly and efficient, the buffet room was always well maintained, food always delicious and fresh. The room was very comfortable and always very clean.

Riu Cancun: excellent services

Very good enviroment with an excellent services. we enjoed entire our stay in the resort with a beutifull view. In the time we were there the hotel almost was full, but the service was so good that me and my wife all the time had filling that we are VIP in this hotel.

Riu Emerald Bay: Unreal Resort!

I thought this was by far the best resort I have ever stayed at. It was gorgeous, VERY clean, amazing pools (one adult only pool), and the food was spectacular. I am picky with food but it was amazing! The beach and service is also unreal, you will never have an empty drink in your hand. I would definitely recommend this resort!
