Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: Amazing Resort!

This is a beautiful resort, great location with a spectacular view! Management team, front desk, room service was all great, very helpful and efficient. A little disappointed with not having adequate access to the beach in front of the property due to the strong undertow current. Some of my concerns, was the noise level on the first and third floor; housekeeping carts, intoxicated guests kept on slamming their room doors in the night. I was on the third floor in a non-smoking room but the stron [... read more]g cigarette scent from the other rooms came right through the ventilation system into my room, which made it seems like I am in a smoker's room. It seems like this hotel keep promoting their sister hotel "Riu Sante Fe" for entertainment and less focus on this hotel for the weekend entertainment. Overall, it was a very nice vacation.

Secrets Aura Cozumel: Fantastic Stay!

We stayed at Secrets Aura Cozumel from June 14-June 28 and had a wonderful time! My hubby and I haven’t been away together in 12 years without kids. So we chose an adults only resort. There were a couple bumps and I want to get them out of the way first. We booked a swim up room that was behind and above the Manatee bar pool. We had a slide down into the pool that was great! Unfortunately it was turned off for 5 days during the first week. They also had a problem with Mustard Algae in the [... read more] pool that week too. We chose not to swim in the pool for 3 days because the algae was so bad. They worked hard on it and got the pool all clear in a few days. We still had 2 other pools to enjoy! We spoke to Carlos at the front desk about our issues and he upgraded us to an ocean view room that had a gorgeous view of the ocean and second pool! Now for all the good stuff! The rooms were clean and well kept. The air conditioning worked all the time. The bed was comfortable and the bar fridge was stocked daily The room service was great. Though it does take about 45 minutes to get your order. The grounds were being all trimmed up as it was spring and the plants we’re growing like crazy. It was quite beautiful to see all the flowers and greenery. The pools were very clean and the beach was fabulous! It is a coral beach so have water shoes for the rough sand. I snorkelled right on the beach and saw some very nice fish. The food was fantastic! We liked everything we ate at all the restaurants. We had a romantic dinner on the beach with our own private waitress. The waitress was perfect and meal was scrumptious. The view at sunset was breathtaking!!! All the staff were the best! Wilberth and Angel at the Manatee bar you rock! The hostesses Nataly(Oceana), Veronica(Market buffet), Rosanna(windows), Esmeralda(El Patio) were beautiful and greeted us and seated us quickly. Our waiters Miguel, Mario(Oceana), Julio, Jesus and Sergio(Market buffet), Juan(El Patio) we’re quick and friendly waiters. We always had something to drink and the food came quickly. Paulina from guest services came around the pool area a few times during our stay to make sure if everything was going well with our vacation. Ruben from Fantasy Travel Excursions helped us plan our day trips and arrange transportation to the airport because we extended our stay and has to get our own taxi. Everything was wonderful all in all. We were treated like family and welcomed back by everyone, and we will be back!! Thank you all for the best vacation we could have😍

TRS Yucatan: Perfect Honeymoon

What an amazing resort!! My wife and I stayed here for 10 days in June for our honeymoon and it was absolutely amazing. The staff is so friendly and professional and make you feel like royalty. The service in the restaurants is impeccable and the food was some of the best we have ever had, even the buffets were amazing with good variety and amazing quality. The mini fridge is restocked daily and if you need something the butler is a WhatsApp message away!! Quick room tip, if you want a private pool book villa 64 if possible, it seems to have the most privacy of all villas. The infinity pool is beautiful... it gets a little busy during the afternoon but there is still plenty of space. The beach is a little far from the TRS area but do yourself a favor, have breakfast at Helios, then go for a seaside walk on the beach, you'll need the exercise if you enjoy the food as much as we did. The TRS beach area is amazing!! Near the beach bar, not overcrowded and plenty of Bali beds. This area is not directly seaside, but with the background music, drinks, and palm trees you won't notice. One note on the beach, it does get a lot of seaweed and the it is quite rocky in some areas, but they do a great job of cleaning the seaweed daily. The resort is huge but there are carts to take you anywhere on the resort or go for a walk through the covered jungle trails. The only thing that is lacking at the resort is nightlife, with the exception of the Chic Cabaret. There are a few evening events, however the crowd is quite calm so don't expect a big party vibe. The Chic cabaret is definitely worth the $35 usd as the show is absolutely amazing. The food at the show is good, especially if you enjoy seafood. To sum it up, we would absolutely love to go back. If a quite, relaxing vacation is what you want look no further than TRS Yucatan.

Grand Sunset Princess: Beautiful resort

The resort was absolutely beautiful, the food was great and the people even better, couldn't have asked for a better honeymoon. Everyone when out of their way to make our time there the best possible. Would definitely go back again. Special thank you to a few people that were absolutely wonderful...Andrea concierge, Bernie driver, Ricardo Royal holiday host and Maria also works with royal holiday. Wonderful people, all the staff ty for making our holiday the best ever.

Barcelo Maya Colonial: First full family vacation

Overall we love the Barcelo (stayed at the other ones). This was out first stay at the colonial and it was overall great. The beds and noise were both awful though. Not one good sleep was had! We had asked for rooms close together and they had us at opposite ends of the resort. The first room at night was right by a stairwell and the noise at night from party goers was just awful. First two nights were not great and we asked to switch rooms due to the noise. The second room was a little b [... read more]it more quiet but the bed was nightmarish, sunken and lumpy (same with our first room). We also had a constant flow of ants on the TV cabinet. Overall the vacation was passable but we will not be going back. On top of the hotel, Air Transat was the worst. The reps knew nothing and gave us wrong information on two separate occasions. She even booked the wrong pickup area for an excusion!

Platinum Yucatan Princess: Exceptional

My trip was booked a little last minute and after reading some reviews, I was skeptical and didn't know what to expect. The transition from the airport to the transportation was smooth and the staff on the bus was comical and exceptional. Once I arrived at the hotel, the Bellmen were absolutely a pleasure. Riu Tequila: Great Resort

The grounds at this property are beautiful, and the staff that look after it do an amazing job. This is probably the cleanest resort I have ever been to. The public areas and washrooms are always clean and the cleaning staff do an amazing job. There were 4 ala carte restaurants and 1 buffet restaurant. The restaurants do not take reservations so some can get quite busy at the beginning of dinner time. The buffet restaurant was fantastic and offers a wide variety of different types of foods. I at [... read more]e at 3 of the ala carte restaurants and they were all good. We had a regular room in 3rd block which was conveniently located close to the main lobby as well as one of the pools. The room was quite spacious and very nice. Most nights the entertainment was pretty good. The entertainment team was fantastic and always friendly and happy to answer anything you had questions about. One day they had a foam party in the activity pool and it was quite fun. Everyone seemed to enjoy it. The beach was across the road and about a 5-7 minute walk through a pathway. The beach was quite large with lots of chairs to use, however not much shade only palm trees to keep the sun out. Even though I was aware of the seaweed problem in the Playa del Carmen area, I was disappointed to see that there was still quite a bit of seaweed there everyday that you had to wade through to get out into the water. The hotel did there best to keep it under control by cleaning it up everyday but it just kept coming back. All in all this was a fantastic resort for all age groups and I would definitely return and recommend it to anyone looking for an all round great time.

Le Blanc Spa Resort: Top Shelf

Amazing experience - hotel is spotless, service is impeccable, food is great, and free spa hydrotherapy a nice perk! Would definitely recommend this for a children free de-stress and romantic getaway for couples.

Riu Caribe Cancun: Not the best Riu Resort

The cleanliness of the resort wasn’t the best. This isn’t my first time in Mexico and I had high expectations considering my visits at other Riu resorts in the past. The food wasn’t good at all... and the pools were dirty. Someone was throwing up almost every day. and staff made no effort to clean up… people swam in the vomit. Most disappointed I have been at a Riu resort. Also the front desk staff are very rude and not helpful either. Will not recommend again to anyone!

NYX Hotel Cancun: Memorable Honeymoon

A very well needed vacation at NYX hotel which exceeded every one of our expectations! The hotel staff is what makes this place truly magical. Everyone from the front desk to staff by the restaurant are so pleasant and kind. Our room was on the 4th floor and because of my partner’s disability we asked to be moved somewhere more accessible. We got upgraded to a much bigger room in the main building. Had the pleasure of eating at the Italian and Umami restaurant. Both were excellent. Night Enter [... read more]tainment was pretty good, although It was a bit crammed at the lobby. Buffet breakfast was excellent. lunch is not buffet style and served by the staff. Dinner was the best part as it changed every night. Many Special thanks to all the staff specially Miguel and Ifran by the lobby, Chef Roberto from at umami restaurant(very humorous and funny), Estafan from the Italian restaurant, Ruben at the Deck, and many more which I can’t remember the names right now. Thank you NYX for these amazing memories and a perfect honeymoon!

Catalonia Riviera Maya: Mexico

The resort was good for its food in both speciality and buffets. The staff was very friendly, the beach is limited but very well kept, pools were great and the drinks were awesome. Room that I was in disappointed me but I was just here for the beach and weather.

Barcelo Maya Colonial: Great family resort!!

We just got back from a fabulous week with our grandkids! There is something to do for everyone! The rooms are spotless and cleaned daily. The pools are amazing and the water park for the kids was a favourite! We loved the fact that sailing and paddleboards were included! It was fabulous snorkeling off the beach! Grand Riviera Princess: Stayed here June 16-23 2022, family of 4 from Toronto

Before I booked this location, as always I poured over the reviews to see what others felt. My family are all adept and flexible travellers however we do expect a certain level of comfort and safety without compromise. Without a doubt, this vacation property met all the criteria and then some. It is not a five star and not advertised that way, probably a solid 4 star. It’s has something for all in the family, a good kids and teens club. The grounds are immaculate and well cared for. The rooms are spacious and well appointed, especially the bathrooms and storage area. One recommendation would be to add just one more chest of drawers in the family rooms, there is not enough drawers or shelves. Also, we did not enjoy the 4 ala carte restaurants we went to, we missed a few others because of excursions. We always seemed to prefer the Chill Out buffet anyway. A massive selection all day, every day and not one is the same as the previous. Also for you Sunwing clients, I found the excursion prices cheaper from Sunwing as apposed to onsite booking. All in all, when your wife and kids say they had a fantastic time then it is a job well done. I do not understand the two and three star ratings at all that some people rate this property at, it’s ridiculous !

The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: Amazing Hotel!

I would give this hotel 5 star rating!! Beautiful clean rooms, great views, food was really good and staff was super helpful and very friendly . The roof top was amazing. We will definitely go back to this hotel

Krystal Grand Los Cabos: Great time at the Krystal Grand

My husband and I just returned from a one week trip to Cabo and our stay at Krystal Grand was great. We stayed on the 2nd floor of the Altitude tower in a very nice room that included a jacuzzi on our deck! The ocean views were spectacular and the bed was very comfortable. We had no issues with anything in the room. We did hear of others that had some problems in other buildings so I would suggest the Altitude tower rooms when booking. A big thank you to Roberto- our concierge. He assisted quick [... read more]ly and efficiently with anything we needed and helped make our stay more enjoyable. Navidad and Jose at VIP services were also very helpful and friendly and the lobster dinner arranged for us was fantastic. The pools were always clean and seats were easy to find as we were up early each day. The beach is amazing. Beautiful walks every morning and the crashing waves of the ocean were so relaxing. At times it was even calm enough to venture in a little. We saw lots of fish jumping and some dancing stingrays in the evening. The food was good each day, although not 5 star,there was always something we liked. All covid protocols were being followed by all staff which was much appreciated. All in all we have a beautiful vacation that was much needed!

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Wow, beautiful!

I thoroughly enjoyed the design. The resort is clean and comfortable. The staff is helpful and accomodating. The food is well prepared and consistently good in the buffet restaurants. We enjoyed the Peruvian / Japanese restaurant as well. Thoughtfully prepared meal. The pools are clean. We enjoyed the ocean only a little because the seaweed and surf were rough but that is just nature. The resort had crews doing their best to contend with the seaweed!

Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: Great resort for kids

We came here with a 18 month old and she loved it! The kids area was amazing, staff were nice. Only downside was the check-in process. Waited an hour to check in, and then was told it would take another hour for the room to be ready. After we finally got our room, there was no explanation of where anything was.. the beach is not the greatest, seaweed everywhere (maybe this is seasonal) but we never went into the ocean water.

Riu Palace Costa Mujeres: Huge Resort

The hotel in general is very clean and very large, takes time to get to restaurants and bars etc,All the staff wore masks and there was hand sanitizers everywhere. I found that because there were so many guests at the hotel that the quality of food was compromised, usually cold and overcooked, and there were several nights that we went to bed hungry. Steak house had the best service but the worse food. Italian restaurant had the worse service and the food was very salty. Barcelo Maya Tropical: Disappointed

We usually go at least twice a year to Mexico. For the last few years we stayed at the Bahia Principe Sian Ka‘an. Loved it and got spoiled. After staying home for two years due to Covid, we decided to try the Barcelo Tropical. Westjet was amazing. Trouble started with check-in at the hotel. They did not have our reservations and customer service took my phone and started texting himself. I never ever experienced something like this and still worried about charges on my phone since he took it  [... read more]off airplane mode which I only realized a few days later. And of course no welcome drink, no welcome wet towel etc. Room was great, bed and bedding were amazing. Everything worked except the fan in the bathroom. But we did not bother to call customer service as we wanted to avoid the hassle of arguing and losing valuable vacation time. Food was at times inedible, literally ice cold and the beef as chewy as shoe soles. Most of the times we only ate breakfast. In 15 days we had 5 lunches. We did not bother to get reservations to the restaurants as we were afraid we end up with the same inedible food and wasted a whole evening as at the buffet. Service from anyone in the resort was none existing. After 7 days we still did not get one decent drink so I finally went to customer service. They take the tip, take the bottle from the shelf but switch it to the fake staff when pouring. Customer service heard it all before so they look at you with that look that you bother them. Then our safe could not be opened. I called customer service, someone will be coming. I asked how long, 10-20 minutes. Don’t leave the room as you must be present when the repairman comes. 11/2 hours later we are still waiting. We were there 15 days and always left tips for cleaning and I asked for extra coffee in the room so that we can sit on the balcony and have at least two cups each. Only if I wrote a note did we get extra coffee. We never drank the pop so the coffee would have not cost anything extra to the hotel. Twice the room was not cleaned and we had to use the towels from the floor and coffee was not refilled. So also on our last day. Instead of enjoying our last couple of hours on our balcony all I was looking forward to was the taxi to pick us up. So for what we paid we got 15 nights of good sleep but not one decent drink and tasteless, cold food. Beach was good, beach and pools very clean.
