Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Amazing Resort and Beach

the beach was fantastic! the water so nice and clear and no seaweed, the long beach was nice for long walks, the resort was really nice and the food was great, the people who work at this resort were really nice and they really work hard to keep everything up and running. this was one of the best resorts weve been to.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Very nice resort good value

The staff work very hard to provide a good service. We traveled Cuba,DR,Mexico,and Jamaica the staff provided us with great service or better than some of the other areas.The beach wasn't the greatest a lot of coral. The food was good but no matter what country in the Caribbean the buffets all taste the same. The resort it self could be a bit more organized ie: in the buffet the food stations spread out a little more the bread and grill next to each other meant long line ups often meaning no eggs or bread for many. It was the first resort we had to drag our luggage to our room after waiting for five hours for our room to be ready . We didn't care about the wait but being up for sixteen hours and dragging our luggage to room was a little much. Also the construction around the pool and lobby bar took away things a bit. But the grounds were beautiful and well taken care of by the gardeners. We would only recommend this resort if the price was below 1100 . I would of rated this place a four but the seaweed on the beach,construction and check-in influenced my rating.

Muthu Colonial Hotel: Amazing Resort

Hotel Colonial, Cayo Coco is a WOnDERFUL resort. Great rooms, good entertainment, great food choices, fabulous customer relations, wonderful staff. Will go back again and again and again. You get hooked!. 15 minutes from the airport!! Very safe, even for women travelling alone.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Truly wonderful experience

The Staff are simply the best that I have encountered anywhere in my travels. The Resort has Character and the Grounds are simply immaculate. Everyone talks about the Food , but believe me you will never go hungry. The Buffet has an abundance of selection and great Cooks(namely Devon) one crazy cook Lol. The Beach is a beautiful Aqua color and yes there is some coral but it is great. The rooms are quite large airy. Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Such a great vacation!

This is a slightly older resort, and when we were there it was overcrowded and that lead to a lot of really crabby complainers...and while there were some minor inconveniences, none of it was as dramatic as some made it out to be. What really made this vacation special was the staff at memories. Everyone from the front desk, to the servers, the gardiners, bartenders and maids were so kind and caring. The beach was gorgeous, the pools were beautiful, perfect temp and height for different swimming levels...my youngest son loves kids club! The food surprised me...it was better than I expected! But if I return it will be because of the kind caring staff!

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Wonderful Resort and Exceptional Staff

The resort is well laid out and easy to navigate around not to mention well maintained and clean. The staff were always very friendly and helpful (especially Dahomey, David and Migdiel at the snack bar as well as Eddie the Lifeguard and the lady who works the booking of the Al a carte restaurants). The buffet was always good but my only recommendations would be to cook the bacon more thoroughly before putting it out. Wednesday nights the buffet had a special meal going on which you had to make r [... read more]eservations for (either 6 pm or 8 pm). This caused a lot of confusion among some guests that showed up for supper unaware of the required reservations. The al a carte restaurants we went to were the Asian which was wonderful and our server was great also. The Italian restaurant on the beach was not good at all. The appetizer was horrible, nothing on the menu was available so we got the Catalonia which was small sized but good. The dessert was like cardboard with chocolate sauce. Six tables didn't even show up for their reservations as I guess word got out about this restaurant. We did hear from people we met there that the Mediterranean restaurant was great as was the Cuba so 3 out of the 4 were good. The beach bar was great except for when they ran out of 7up and ice (there was ice at the snack bar but you had to run from the beach which was very inconvenient). The beach was wonderful! There were always available beach chairs and the gentlemen that help you with your chairs were great as well. We also saw staff raking up seaweed from the beach which was great! The entertainment staff did a wonderful job of keeping the guests occupied whether it be at the beach, the nightly shows, taking guests to the disco outside the resort or organizing activities around the pool or the snack bar when it was raining one day. Our room was very nice with a balcony and king sized bed. Flor was our maid and she always ensured we had clean towels, toilet paper and the bed made. My only complaint in this area would be that our room was never swept which meant that sand was a constant on our floor no matter how we tried not to bring it in. As well, I think she put our blanket on the floor when she made the bed as we always seemed to have sand in the bed. This was our third time visiting Cuba and our first time going to Cayo Coco, Cuba. We would definitely recommend this resort to anyone that is planning on going to Cayo Coco that wants to just relax at their resort for the week.

Hotel Vigia: Typical Cuban Hotel

Staff worked very hard keeping hotel and grounds very clean. Excellent job I have to say. Food was edible nothing special. Exactly the same buffet every day.Don't upgrade to a more expensive room. They are all the same. 60,s vintage. This trip did it for us. Last trip to Cuba. Not worth the money. We just booked a trip through West Jet to the Dominican in April

Hotel not as well maintained as it could be. very friendly people. great beach and pool would recommend to friends this is our second time at this hotel gardens are beautiful and well maintained location is great because it is close to airport.

Melia Jardines del Rey: Very disappointed

Although the grounds, buildings, and beach are nice, there are a number of things wrong with this resort. The food at the a la carte restaurants was not very good. This is the first time that I had better food at the buffet than at the restaurants. Also, the restaurants don't have any liquor or coffee, so you can't enjoy a post dinner drink. All they have is wine and beer. In general, the attention to service was lacking. Many times we had asked for a drink and it never arrived. This was most no [... read more]table in the buffet. There is a huge lack of communication. There are no postings for the daily activities so you had to just be in the right place at the right time. The only thing that they advertised was the evening show, and even then, the front desk didn't know what time they started. We had an issue with an ant infestation in our room, but this was quickly resolved by maintenance. Lastly, the grounds are huge, so be prepared for a lot of walking.

Muthu Colonial Hotel: Fantastic

They are working every day at keeping this beautiful Hotel to its original quality. All in all everything about this Hotel is wonderful. The beach is kept very clean. The Gardens are beautiful. All areas are looked after always. Friendly people make the resort and great food......

Overall, this resort was great. The staff was awesome. Rooms were clean, food was good and entertainment was a bonus. The only down fall, was the hot water situation, but this can happen at any resort..

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Amazing Beach, Great Resort, Excellent Trip!

First of all, the beach is absolutely stunning. Water extremely clear, can see everything in the ocean, including starfish, sand dollars, crabs, etc. You can walk for hours when you turn to the right... there are a few spots that are rocky, but we didn't need water shoes, just slipped on the flip flops for a minute until the rocks past. Food was very good for Cuba - I would not compare it to Mexico, but if you prefer excellent food over excellent beaches, go to Mexico (or stay home). Lunch had l [... read more]ots of varieties to choose from - poutine, pizza, fish, fried chicken, burgers, hotdogs, pasta, etc. A La Carts were excellent - Italian Mushroom Risotto was fantastic, Mediteranian was extremely good too. Service was great here, it was busy, but we never waited more than a minute at the bar. Entertainment staff here were amazing, we had a blast with them, including playing in a game of baseball with them out back. They really made our stay great! Rooms are large, and very simple, nothing to complain about there (beds a little hard). We were in bungalow 10, which is very far away. If you don't like walking, request a bungalow closer to the main lobby and pools (like bungalow 1, 2, 3, 4). We didn't mind the walking, so it was fine, but certainly it was pretty far. Mosquitoes get a bit bad at night, but this is to be expected, you will find that everywhere. Overall our week stay was great... we have traveled to many places (Antigua, St.Lucia, St. Maarten, Mexico, Bahamas, etc), and this beach was by far the Best we have ever seen.

Hotel is in excellent condition after having been neglected at the end of its Blau days. Magnificent beach, great pools. Best part is the location, just 15 minutes from the airport. Overall good trip, I would go back

Starfish Cayo Guillermo: Great resort.

Very friendly staff everywhere we went in the resort. Clean rooms and bathrooms. Nice beach, very good food. The resort is older, but well kept. Well worth the price. Not a good place for snorkeling, but perfect for kite surfing.

Hotel Playa Coco: Resort on the rise..

We have been to this resort before...They treated us wonderfully as returning guests, a little disappointed that the beach resuarent was destroyed in a storm but hey, Mother Nature is cruel sometimes. We were told that they are rebuilding and hope when we return they have it complete. Was also a little disappointed they took the disco out, we would have enjoyed an evening or two there. I have walked the entire beach and it is definitely the best section of beach. The staff is always nice and friendly and seem to enjoy working there. Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Cockroach hotel

This was the most disappointing trip to Cuba ever. The hotel was old, dirty and lacked any care. Rooms are full of cockroaches. I have been to Cuba 5 times now- this hotel may have prevented me from ever traveling there again. Don't believe positive reviews- the walls were climbing in bugs as you tried to sleep.

Hotel Vigia: Great week @ a good price.

Food was better than we expected & the beach is fabulous. Average room we booked was not acceptable; we changed the next day to an ocean-view & were very happy.The Cuban people are wonderful; friendly & helpful.

Hotel Playa Paraiso: Single in Cayo Coco

This was my first time in Cayo Coco and I traveled solo. My maid surprised me with a "Happy Birthday" banner, flowers and a bottle of rum on my birthday, so nice! :+) The activities staff made me feel comfortable and my stay enjoyable & fun. The rooms are nicely laid out. Having umbrellas available in your room is a nice touch. The food at the Cuban restaurant is amazing! The buffet has a wide selection and variety. Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Beautiful Resort!!

The beach at Memories Caribe is a beautiful stretch of white sand. The grounds are fantastic. The staff are very accommodating and kind. Lots of activities to do for people of all ages. I would go back to this resort again!

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: There was good with the bad

We loved the ground and the staff. The food was the best I have had in Cuba so far. Unfortunately the rooms are very unkempt and the cleaning staff not very good. We had roaches and broken toilets along with the staff taking soap we had out of our room. We were warned about rocky beaches - but they were great for kids who wanted to see sea life. Starfish, clams, sea urchins etc.
