Riu Vallarta: Amazing Resort

This was my second time staying at a Riu was a little nervous since my first experience wasn't the best..This resort definitely made up for the first time..Great staff, Food was good always something to eat..Beach was clean..Best times at the pool!!! Definitely makes me want to return to Mexico

Grand Memories Varadero: Excellent resort

A very clean well maintained resort We found the food to be very good and the rooms to be well stocked night time entertainment was great people were very friendly bar tenders were very helpful and the resort was five star in my books we plan to go back this winter

Riu Flamingos: amazing

this is a first class resort. Rooms, dinning, customer service and beaches are second to none. Staff go over the top for you to make sure you are having a great time whether you want an active or relaxing holiday...The area hosts many different activities for all ages. This is my favorite resort as we have been there 3 times and just love it there. Ceasar always makes it special....Just wish they would have you bring back the rolling keg of beer......

Riu Tequila: Great resort

The staff were always helpful and constantly smiling. The food was always good and well varied. The lobby bar staff treated us like friends and paid attention to the details. It was sometimes hard to locate beach chairs. The grounds were always kept clean.

Riu Merengue: Simply Amazing!!!

We have been going to the RIU Mambo every year for the past 11 years. My husband and I loved it from the first time we arrived and because of that, we continue to come back. We loved the fact that the "Mambo" was quieter and more quaint than the Merengue and Batchata however loved the opportunity to visit the other two. All the employees from washroom duty to the animation team, to grounds keeper, to pool maintenance, to maid service, to the bartenders, to the chefs/servers, to front desk to Hot [... read more]el Manager etc. are absolutely wonderful!!! The hotel is kept very clean, the grounds are well manicured, and the food is delicious! Everyone is very friendly, helpful, polite and always smiling while still doing a fantastic job even in the extreme heat! Although it has been renamed to the "Merengue", it will always be the "Mambo" to me. Sadly, my husband passed away 2 years ago but I will always continue to go to the "Mambo" to visit with my Riu Mambo "Family" because he would want me to!!!

Riu Tequila: very nice clean resort with beautiful beach .

The beach is what stands out in my mind from first impressions upon arrival. Check in was very quick . Next stop to our room which was clean with 2 beds pushed together with a shower , no bathtub, flatscreen T.V. bathroom does not give privacy. No coffee maker in room. Buffet for the first night was excellent with many choices, clean, great Mexican atmosphere, good service. There is no buffet open for lunch, its by the pool. A disappointment. We did not go to the a la cartes, did not want to be  [... read more]tied down with times. There is only 3 to choose from. Most of the entertaintment was very good. When at the beach we went to get a drink and where told you can,t come here to have one you have to go over there. Lunch buffet at Yucatan are open to heat and food not that good. We had a later departure and they wanted 60 us dollars to keep our room for 3 hours. We declined and had to carry our money and passport around with us . I would go back if there was a great deal otherwise there are better resorts in the area for what they charge. . It was a nice trip but we are used to an air conditioned buffet for lunch, for what we paid that is to be expected. No room service, no pool or beach service.

Riu Merengue: RESORT OK

BEDS WERE HORRABLE, THERE IS NO BEACH AND THE BEACH THAT IS THERE FULL OF ROCKS AND SHORT, ITS TAKES A FEW MINUTES TO WALK THE BEACH BACK AND FORTH, I AM A BEACH PERSON AND I SPEND MORE TIME AT THE POOL THAN THE BEACH WHAT DOES THAT TELL YOU, FOOD NOT BAD

Riu Flamingos: Great Resort

This was a lovely resort, We stayed for two weeks in February and the weather was perfect every day! The rooms were clean and well maintained, but we missed the coffee maker. Dining room staff were helpful and provided take out carafes so we managed. We were a bit disappointed that not all of the restaurants were available each night, especially with the long line each AM to make reservations. Food was all inclusive OK, and the buffets lacked imagination, no fancy displays, cutbacks all around.

Riu Palace Macao: Great Adult Only Riu!

This was our 3rd trip to this resort, having been to Riu Palace Punta Cana. Riu Bambu and Riu Palace Macao, this is by far our favorite Riu! Affordable, very clean, great rooms, beds very comfortable, lovely shower, excellent food and choices, good entertainment & amazing friendly staff every where who go above and beyond to please you and welcome you to their country! Most speak some English and are happy when you try some Spanish. There are 2 pools, bar pool and larger one as well with lots of [... read more] loungers. We prefer the beach as sand is white, water is turquoise blue and usually nice breeze. sometime waves are a bit high but not always. Lots of Palm trees for shade and this too is one of the reasons we love the Riu Resorts, don't need Huts. Need to go before breakfast and get your loungers in shade, but usually no trouble finding chairs if not needing shade. Grounds are wonderful and Gardeners are always seen busy every day doing some trimming,planting etc. Staff all work very hard, long hours and many days, never expect tips but are very happy to receive even a $ as recognition of their work. We hope to return again next year as this resort has all we want and could ask for & 3 times now has never let us down!!

Riu Palace Bavaro: Amazing resort

I have been to many RIU resorts and this one is the best, the new standards for the palaces. Food was amazing, presentation and variety, the service, the rooms, everything was excellent. I have been recommending to anyone looking for a resort in DR.

Riu Negril: Riu Negril is a awesome resort

My family had a great vacation at the Riu Negril in April 2014. The grounds are beautiful with one of the nicest beaches in the world and perfect for long walks. Everything was clean and the restaurants and food were excellent. The Jamaican people are the happiest and friendliest in the world. Ricks Cafe is a must see for all tourists

Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: Fantastic hotel best yet!!!!

Hotel and grounds immacuately cared for, restaurants excellent, pool chairs plentiful, waiters and bar tenders go out of there way to make to make your stay unfortgettable, check in quick and without hassle.

Riu Tequila: Excellent resort

This resort was excellent the grounds, beach, food and hospitality was exceptional. The staff very friendly. The only small negative would be the dimly lit entrance way to your rooms in the daytime. Overall we will return to this resort.

Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: Vacation in the land of the sun

Resort was great, staff wonderful, beach was great for snorkelling although surf was rough and had a strong current. I would have liked to have seen lifeguards. Do not forget bug repellent as there were lots of Mosquitos and Sandfleas, I received some nasty bites which required a trip to the resort doctor. I guess the question ,"Would I return to this resort?", my answer.... In a heart beat! We had an awesome vacation, my complaint would be, even though it was 2 weeks, not long enough!

Riu Flamingos: Excellent Resort!

I really think this hotel served out purpose top to bottom. Well organized and a good place to stay with the family. This being my first time in Mexico gave us great joy to want to come again and spend such quality in Mexico with the same hotel and flight arrangement. We enjoyed from the hotel rooms to the food, to drinks to environment and pleasant service from everybody involved. Highly recommended!

Grand Memories Varadero: Great Service Great Value!

We had a fabulous week at this resort. There were a variety of food choices and the service was friendly and efficient. The grounds were well kept and the pools pristine. We upgraded to the Adults only section which was well worth it. The private restaurant was amazing and it was great to have the private section of beach which was not busy. Recommend the upgrade for the beach access alone!! Amazing vacation and would definitely stay with RIU again.

Grand Memories Varadero: It was not Nice

Unfortunately we weren't happy with the resort. I don't want to be negative but we had issues with our room not being cleaned and our towels not being changed. In the Second day I fell by the pool was badly bruised and when I went to report to somebody to get that piece fixed they patched it up before I witnessed 2 other people getting hurt. Sorry will not be returning. We flew with Sunwing and we were delayed 24 hrs on our way home. We were rail road out of the resort to wait at another hotel a [... read more]nd it was covered with bugs ! Seriously is this how you treat customers!

Sol Turquesa Beach: Wonderful time!

The hotel and the room we stayed in were lovely. I absolutely loved the views from the pools on the upper level - just gorgeous seeing the turquoise blue ocean! We loved swimming at the beach with our masks on. And it was great having all the different pools to choose from. There are lots of stairs at this resort, but we liked the exercise. Riu Santa Fe: Fun resort!

I really enjoyed my stay at the Riu Santa Fe. The grounds were beautiful, great staff and a fun atmosphere. The room was great, but might've been nice to be in building 7 with a view. It's a short walk to the beach - if you can't get an oceanview room, I recommend staying at one of the buildings closest to the walkway, not by the disco.

Sol Turquesa Beach: Riu doing a excellent job!

This was our 6th trip to Holguin, Cuba and to the (Riu) Playa Turquesa Resort. Riu took over the running of the resort 2 yrs ago and we just happened to be there at that time. They are certainly showing their commitment to running the resort with the upgrades that were very noticeably to us. The new head chef has overhauled the menu's and the food was delicious. Plus the daily excursions ($ extra), are worth taking. Cuba is worth seeing. It has amazing culture. And, I personally recommend Riu Playa Turquesa as a wonderful place to stay.
