Grand Palladium Select White Sand: A most stunning and palacial destination

this hotel was not only beautiful, but spotless, lavish, updated, and the staff went out of their way to accommodate you...every staff member always said hello and was quick to help. The food and beverages was FANTASTIC.

Iberostar Waves Quetzal: Paradise!!!!

This was definitely worth the money. Absolutely beautiful surroundings with nature at its best. Hotel was very clean and the food was excellent. Location is 30 minutes to playa on foot. Didn’t seem crowded by the pool.

Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun: Incredible beach! Resort area is beautiful!

The food was less than adequate in all the restaurants. The best meals we had were at the buffet. The beds were very hard and made for an uncomfortable nights sleep. The service was excellent in all areas with the exception of the Japanese restaurant where the server literally rushed us out the door. The beach area was amazing and the resort grounds were beautiful and kept very clean.

Grand Palladium Colonial: Great trip

The resort was very nice, well kept and clean. I was not expecting it to be so big. The three resorts are very close together so it feels like you are a one giant place. There are shuttles the take you from lobby to lobby but had a hard time finding any to take. Looked like there were more parked then out driving people around. Lots of options for food. The entertainment was just okay, it was the same dancers every night and it was obvious some of them didn’t know the dances well at all. Overall it was an awesome trip and would recommend to a family or group who are looking for lots of activities around the resort.

Breathless Riviera Cancun: Breathless Punta Cana much better

I have travelled all over the carribean and have twice visited Breathless Punta Cana so I thought I would give the Cancun Riviera a try. I would not give it as glaring a review. The property has great staff and they work hard to make you feel welcome. That can not be said about the management who are rude and abrupt. I was charged for extra cleaning of my room because of a cut I had that stained sheets and a pillow. The Mexican and the Buffet were very bad. I am not a food complainer either. Bartenders were amazing and top shelf liquor was available. Property very nice. There are two accessible pools for those that don't stay at Xhale club. One pool was so high volume techno beat with same music everyday you got a headache. The other pool was very crowded with very drunk people. I am a guy who likes to have a good time and let loose but this place was almost like spring break. I really love the Mexican people and the workers at this resort. The management who are stubborn don't listen not so much!

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Fun trip

Everything was what we had hoped it would be. Good service, food and very clean. Thank you for a great time. Our transportation was always on time. Rooms cleaned every day. We would of like a closer beach...but the pools were amazing. We are planning on another trip.

Catalonia Royal Tulum: Awesome all-inclusive

I am a 70-year-old sophisticated traveller who has been in 93 countries over my 55 years of travel. The reviews I read were so exceptional that I was skeptical. This resort was even better than the reviews. It's the best all-inclusive resort I have ever seen, anywhere, at any price range. Very laid back. Sophisticated Canadian, European and South American adults only clientele. Exceptionally well managed in every way. No queues. No reservations for anything. Simply walk in to any of the many the [... read more]med restaurants or buffets. No queues for bars or front desk. Very good food. Numerous cuisines. Large suites. Beach of about two miles, mostly fringed by jungle, rather than high rises. This is the only resort of any size on the beach, though it itself is not large. It is carved out of mangrove swamp and rainforest that provides an ecological area through which guests walk on a boardwalk. The birds and mammals are plentiful. The oriental restaurant in particular is stunning, open air in the rainforest next to a large fish pond. There is nothing negative to be said about this resort.

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Wonderful Holiday

This was the second time my husband and I visited this hotel. The food is plentiful and fantastic. The restaurant service is very friendly and staff are very knowledgeable. We were fortunate to receive a room upgrade to a suite over looking the ocean. This upgrade definitely enhanced our stay. Every morning we would take pictures of the sun rise and the beach view. Prior to the room upgrade, our view consisted of the jungle. A bit disappointing.

Very nice hotel Beach was good Food in restaurants was amazing but buffet was only ok Royalton push their time share sales pitch too much, gets annoying Rooms are amazing Entertainment was very good Staff was ok not the quickest for example at the buffet we would usually be done our first plate before we got any water or drinks to the table Maid staff was amazing not sure if it was just because we were Diamond club though

Breathless Riviera Cancun: Spectacular resort

The hotel, staff and service was exceptional. Very clean and friendly.....Food was fantastic and great entertainment for all......Loved it and would do it again anytime..... Highly recommended.......great resort for singles aged 25-70

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Maya Suites: Paraiso Maya is perfect for us!

Just returned from our 48th visit. Yes, 48 times. Not a typo. It has everything we want. Not too far from the airport, a very long beach for walking, warm temperatures even during a polar vortex, exceptionally friendly staff, great food, very nice & clean rooms, golf, a new gym with very nice equipment & knowledgeable trainers, a variety of TV choices, free WIFI and always plenty of other nice people to spend time with, many of whom have also been there lots of times before. Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Nice Vacation

We stayed at Sandos from January 23 - January 30. As with every place you go to, there is the good, the bad and the ugly. This was my 6th time in Playa Del Carmen, as we absolutely love it here. We always go to different resorts because we enjoy having new areas to explore. The good: This resort is huge, huge, huge. Just when you think you have seen it all, you find a new trail that takes you somewhere new to explore. The setting is absolutely beautiful, set right in the jungle amids [... read more]t mangroves, cenotes, waterfalls, and tons of foliage with numerous animals. With that being said, yes there are mosquito's....its to be expected. We brought bug spray with us, however there are numerous dispensers around the resort with bug lotion as well. The animals everywhere was so awesome! The rescue farm animals were so cute, coatis everywhere, many types of birds, mexican hairless dogs....so many animals! The monkeys were hilarious. But people need to remember these are very smart animals....keep your patio doors shut if you are not in your room (not just the screen) We watched 3 monkeys open a screen door, enter a room, play on the bed, steal their food and tip over their table before they left in a hurry lol. We were told by some staff that monkeys have enter rooms and taken magazines, sun glasses and even cell phones. We upgraded to the Adult only section and felt it was worth the extra money. Our room was absolutely beautiful and huge with a Jacuzzi on our balcony. We had zero issues with our room at all. The in room water cooler was a nice bonus. I recommend bringing a water bottle with you, just so you don't have to get a cup every time you want water. With the adult only upgrade we also had access to a nice quiet restaurant for breakfast & lunch. This was great because the first morning we went to the main buffet and it was super busy, and the people in there acted like this was the only food they would be getting for the rest of the week.....very rude, pushy and obnoxious! Its a buffet people, calm down....there will be more food! We also had access to the clubhouse by the beach which was awesome. They make the best drinks down there!! And mid afternoon there was lots of snacks to munch on (chicken wings, sandwiches, salads etc) pooltable and books upstairs as well. I recommend the upgrade if you aren't travelling with children. The staff everywhere we went were all great. We never ran into anyone who wasn't happy and polite. The bad: If you are looking for a nice sandy beach to swim in, this isn't it. There is lots of rocks in the water until you get out farther. We did read all the reviews and came prepared with water shoes so this didn't bother us at all. And because the water edge is so natural you can actually see all the tropical fish right at the edge of the water. We also got to see Sea Urchins when the tide went out! So cool. If you walk a few mins down the beach either way there is lots of easier areas to get in a swim. Also the amount of times we were asked if we wanted a massage both from the resort staff, and the other people who offered massages just beside the resort was verging on ridiculous! I get they are trying to drum up business.....but anyone laying on the beach or swimming isn't interested in a massage right then. And asking 7, 8, 9 times isn't going to change that! The ugly: We had zero complaints with any of the food from the restaurants, however half way through our stay my husband came down with what we believe was food poisoning (violent throwing up and diaherra that lasted for 3 days). We drank all the same drinks, and basically ate the same food. We narrowed down his sickness to coming from the Italian restaurant from dinner, where we didn't eat the same. I ordered chicken parm off the menu (which was good) but my husband just ate the pizzas off the buffet. It was definitely not a good experience and we lost a lot of time out of our holiday because he was sick. We've never experienced this before anywhere else. My only other complaint was about the room service. The first night we arrived we didn't get to the room til almost 11pm. We decided to order room service around 1am. My husband got a burger, and I got fajitas. Both were very, very good. So after my husband was sick for 2 days, he was starting to get hungry because he hadn't eaten ....so we ordered room service around 6pm. He got the club sandwich, and I ordered nachos and a quesadilla. His sandwich was pathetic, bread was hard, 1 tiny tomato in the center of all the bread and 1 tiny piece of chicken (I did take pictures) I got about 10 nachos with a huge bowl of guac and my quesadilla was basically an empty fried tortilla. Was pretty disappointing. The late night service was 100x better. Overall we had a nice vacation here. We loved the resort and the staff, but with him getting sick like that we honestly aren't sure if we would return to this resort just for that reason. Vacation time is too precious, and too expensive to get sick while on it., and neither of us have ever gotten sick anywhere else.

Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: Outstanding

Great resort, supurb food, georgeous beach, beautiful rooms, exquisite restaurants, friendly service... honestly everything was wonderful... only thing that would have been nicer would be to have extra lounges at the beach... other that that our trip was Fantastic.. what more could anyone ask for...

The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: time of our lives

We were a group of fourteen neighbors and we had the best time, service was friendly and our rooms were kept immaculate. The pools were great, and lots of things to do at the beach, which again was very clean. The food was outstanding, never a dull moment for any meal. the staff at the pool bar went above and beyond to keep us happy. I would come back to this resort in a heartbeat. Bravo!

Grand Palladium Colonial: Highly enjoyable experience!

Went to Grand Paladium Colonial with my husband and five year old. Greatly enjoyed ourselves. The food at the a-la-cartes was great! The buffet was well-appointed with great variety. The grounds were lovely and well kept. The way the resort was situated was great too! In short distance, we had rather immediate access to the kids pool, the main pool and the ocean. The swim up bar was in its own spot so those who liked to drink a lot had their space. We had access to two other resorts as well whic [... read more]h meant that we didn’t have to eat in the same place twice. It is large but that was not a detractor for us. Having visited a few resorts, this was hands down our favourite so far. We’d definitely go back. Highly recommended!

Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: Valentin - January 15-29/2019

Air Transat to and from - very good Ground Transport - direct, very good. Check In/out - very good Room - central location. Very good. Food and Service - very good. Towel service - very good. Grounds - immaculate. Beach/Pool - Too much competition for a lounge chair and umbrella. Not enough loungers for the number of guests. Staff - very good Bar Service - very good. Entertainment - very good.

JOIA Paraiso by Iberostar: The best

The best vacation ever. Risently we return back from our vacation trip, adjustad with help of Tripcentral. It was above all expectations. Agents help was very professional, highly qualified. I recieved max information and good advices without waist of time, Plus price was very loyal. Hotel and service are exclusively good, above all our expectations.Definitely recommend it for vacation.

Paradisus Playa Del Carmen Roulette: What a great place!!!

My wife and I spent a week at Paradisus Play Del Carmen. This resort is 1st class all the way, from the moment you arrive until you leave, you are treated like royalty. The staff there are really great, they work very hard and they bend over backwards to make your stay a perfect one. The rooms are gorgeous with marble floors, and they are very clean, in fact the whole complex is spotless with granite and marble everywhere. FOOD----- [... read more]-----------The food at this resort is the best (by a large margin) food we have ever had at an all inclusive Resort, and we have stayed at many over the years. BEACH---------------The beach has nice fine sand that is great for long walks, but the ocean has lots of seaweed. They work hard to keep it clean, but there is seaweed in parts of the water. You can pick a section of the water and swim without any seaweed. I found that they could use a few more lounge chairs on the regular (not 1st class) side. One thing that makes the beach extra special is the Beach Concierge, His name is Miguel Agvilar. This fellow makes you feel like you are a royalty. He can't do enough for you. The beach service is also excelente, you won't be looking for service there, because they make sure you are well taken care of . The bottom line is this resort is the best resort we have ever stayed at, in fact we were here last year and booked it again this year, because of the quality. (we haven't ever stayed at the same resort 2 years in a row until now). I would recommend this place without hesitation. We booked through Trip Central (which is my favorite website) and our agent was Sara Zubiak, she is so knowledgeable and is pleasant to work with . The only negative we had on our trip was with Park"N Fly, I found them to be disreputable and I wouldn't park there again.
