Secrets St James: Amazing Resort. Best Vacation!!!

We had the most amazing vacation at Secrets St. James. The resort was beautiful, easy layout and everything was within walking distance. The staff went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of. The food in the restaurants exceeded our expectations, even the room service was great. I loved their jerk chicken and pineapple pizza.Our favorite restaurant was the Italian. The rooms were large and the bed was so comfortable. The beach was perfect. Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Awesome time

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay. Friendly staff combined with awesome weather made our stay amazing. We were greeted with dancers and taken to our room with a smile. Wishing I was there each day I've been back.

Riu Palace Jamaica: Excellent resort!

This resort was located on a small beach are. However it is sandy white, no stones, beach with clear blue water. The room was standard but very clean. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I had a terrific time.

Grand Muthu Runaway Bay Club Caribbean: amazing resort

the people was awesome and very friendly, and a great time, the service was very good, pool and the ground were very clean. food was good. the co ordinated made the stay worth it. very well organized.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Great Time but could have been better

We went to Bahia Sept 13 to Sep 20. Weather was great, had a little rain here and there. Resort is huge but laid out very well so not too much walking. Food was amazing at the buffet, the jerk hut, the Italian and the Spanish. Food was ok at the grill but we didn't like the Don Pablo at all. The staff w [... read more]as very calm - not what I am use to from the Jamaican people, but they were ok. There were two beaches - one sand and one rock - both were nice. We hung at the rocky beach mostly as it is referred to the "cool" beach if you know what I mean ;). The snorkelling there was amazing and we had many fish swimming around us even just going in for a swim. The sand beach is large and beautiful but there were so many people! Lots of opportunity on both beaches for loungers. The staff worked very hard maintaining the grounds, the resort was clean. I was surprised that I had to go get my drinks - no one came around the beach to serve you. Overall, I give this resort 4 stars but it could easily be a five if they stepped up their game a bit!

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Awesome Resort

This resort was like a castle, so beautiful, so clean, so big! The age of the resort is starting to show with the carpets in the hallway and some of the door frames. Paddle boats shoud be replaces as they are in rough shape. But the pool was amazing, the sandy beach was equally as amazing and for September the weather was fantastic. The only problem we [... read more] had was in the evening when leaving for dinner, we would come back the bed would be turned down and my husbands sunglasses would be gone, good thing he had a couple pairs, but by the end of our vacation he had none, so note to self, do no leave your sunglasses on the dresser as turndown staff might think they are a gift. But all in all I do highly recommend this resort and plan to go back soon.

Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: Incredible hotel!!!! Staff, food, top notch..

This hotel is amaZing!! My second time there and won't be the last. Nothing but great things to say about hotel. Everyone should give this hotel a try! The staff are amazing fun and friendly. Made me feel so welcome

Sandals Jamaica Dunn's River: Good Resort

I thought that the hotel was nice..needs some upgrades. The service staff was friendly and aimed to please. The resort is smaller than what I am use to but food was good and it was close to all the major attractions. YOU HAVE to reach out to Rusty who took us to the blue hole an amazing experience. Only thing that was disappointing was we didn't feel special being on our honeymoon nothing was in the room upon our arrival; but overall it was a good experience.

Sandals Jamaica Dunn's River: JUST OK. CLEAN but just OK

grounds, public areas, rooms, dining, features, etc were very clean! The beach was small but again clean. Food was just BORING along with the entertainment and night life, actually no night life at all.

Couples Negril: Great Resort for the Money

My wife and I stayed from August 30th to September 6th. Let's get the bad out of the way first. We booked an ocean front room because it was my birthday and anniversary trip back to Jamaica, and wanted the upgrade to make our time special. Instead of a great ocean front room, we ended up with a room in building #5. The view was of the small pool, a hot tub and very tall tropical trees. We complained to the front desk and all they said was they may have room the next day, but it also didn't have  [... read more]an a view of the ocean. What a way to start our vacation! Overall the resort was amazing the food and restaurants was great, the beach and service on the beach was spectacular, the A La Carts were to die for. We believe the employees could be a little more friendly. It seems that you had to initiate the greeting from the majority of them. Also the service in the morning for breakfast was less than good. Many of mornings if we did not make coffee in our room before coming down for breakfast, I would just had maybe one cup at the buffet due to the employees serving the coffee never bothered to refill our cups. The entertainment staff really knew how to get everyone involved in the activities, even if the weather is not cooperating. Cheers to them! I would really recommend going on the glass bottom cruise, experience scuba diving via the lessons, and booking the catamaran trip. One of the things that impressed us was the availability of premium alcohol. My wife enjoys her Grey Goose Vodka, and although they ran out of it one in the piano bar lounge, it was still fantastic to have this choice. If we decide to vacation at this hotel again, we would definitely request building 6, 7, or 9. They are closer to the main area of the hotel, newly renovated, and gives you a great view of the beach and ocean.

Couples Swept Away: Ditto

First time to a Couples Resort and all previous reviews were spot on in their descriptions. Did have a nice surprise thou finding the self serve frozen yogurt dispenser at the vegetarian grill. Note: Sept/Oct is rainy season and you should expect some rain most afternoons but they put umbrellas in your closet.

Coco La Palm: A wonderful vacation at Coco La Palm!

We had a great time at Coco La Palm. Location was good, almost centrally located on 7 mile beach. The resort was just right for us, the staff polite and friendly. Not a busy time of year which suited us. Good value for the money. Room was huge and well appointed. We were able to relax and just enjoy our time. Glad we stayed here and not at one of the big resorts, we got out and about and felt we experienced Jamaica more because of it. Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Far but awesome !

Stayed for 4 nights with my husband & five month old baby. Dislike the distance from the airport ( hard when travelling with a baby) also disliked the ride to the hotel. The bus was clean & confortable temperature but the driver took a long time to leave (over an hour after everyone was boarded ) & made several stops. By the time I got to the hotel my baby & I were super cranky! Check in is a bit hectic people everywhere telling you to go to a special room to check in , I just wanted to go to  [... read more]the front desk ( they are pretty non chalont at the desk dancing & having a good time ) took total about 20 mins (they tried to make it quicker for me as I had the baby. Arriving to the room I was really pleased. It was a really nice size. I liked the bed & the style was not bad. Everything was clean. The fridge wasn't as cold as I wanted for my baby's bottles so I filled up ice at the bar each day to keep them inside the ice inside the fridge. There was also a crib in the room already which was a nice surprise as I had called ahead requesting a room close to the beach ( as I didn't want to walk far with the baby) The room location was pretty good if you want to be close to the beach & I was right outside the jerk chicken beach restaurant. Abit of a walk to the main buffet but it's a beautiful walk! The grounds as very pretty. We stayed in building 18. Had no issues with Mosquitos or bugs. So don't stay on the 1at floor just in case. Also the air conditioning was fine ! Even got too cold at night ! This is coming from someone that is always hot when everyone's cold ! The food was surprisingly good! I like a variety of food but I like high quality & was impressed. Not everything was 10/10 but the items that were good were really really good. My favorites that I'm still craving are the omelettes , bacon , cappuccino & jerk chicken. The cheesecake was good too. Yes sometimes they run out of bacon but you just need to wait a couple minutes & there's more. You just need to go for the bacon the minute you get in there ! I didn't try the mimosas but wish I would have ! They looked good. I was hoping for drinks inside coconuts or pineapples but didn't see any. The alcoholic drinks tasted strong so I didn't really like any too much. There was a cranberry cocktail at the Asian restaurant that was delicious! We were only able to do 2 a la carte meals with our package. 1 was the Asian was ok had seen better in Mexico not much of a show but good flavour. The don Pablo was really good. I had a very tender steak with a blue cheese cream sauce. The entertainment was fun! I didn't see much & only realized the last day that there is an earlier show in the lobby & a late show in the main entertainment area. Lots of shops there also! You can negotiate prices. Lots of souvenirs. Don't wait until you get the airport to buy any because they are ridiculously overpriced at the airport! Went for a massage at the spa for our anniversary & really enjoyed it. I have had massages at many hotels around the world & this was probably my second favourite! Anyhow my husband was told it would be $100 as there was a promotion & it was $130 because the promo was over. The spa said they called our room to let us know but we weren't there. We plan to call & speak to the manager to see if they will honour the price. The prices at the spa are pretty expensive. The spa is clean & nice. Overall everyone is really friendly & it was a nice family environment not as much of a party scene. Good music though !! Pool was nice ! The shady seats are taken early so if you want a good seat put your towel early like before 8am! Also my husband had tried to plan something special for our anniversary he went to the from desk & they said they would take care of if. They insisted. They ended up sending someone to set up the table for room service but they never came with any food lol. They did however send a fruit basket , small bottle of rum& 2 t shirts which was all thoughtful !

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Wonderful Vacation

Overall, the place was great! The food was phenomenal, staff were very kind and welcoming, and the ameninties were great. Only downsides? The beach isn't very long (only a 5min walk) and the nightly entertainment was repetitive. But otherwise, gorgeous and relaxing. Definitely worth a revisit!

Royalton Negril Resort And Spa: Grand Lido Negril

This Hotel was fantastic. Acces to the ocean was immediate. Beach was fantastic and very clean bottom. The small resort is showing signs of aging but it was very clean and the food was very good. 2 of the 3 restaurants on site were very tasty. Recommend the Japanese restaurant.

Royalton Negril Resort And Spa: Grand Lido is Great!

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time the entire week! The room was besutiful and clean. The food was great (buffet). We also enjoyed the Japanese and Greek restaurants. The staff was very friendly no matter where you were on the resort. We were steps away from our room to the beach which was amazing! Night life was pretty tame but if you want a relaxing vacation with no kids this is the place to go! We have already recommended it to many people!

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Great resort - needs a little facelift

Good resort, definitely worth the money - would come back. Place needs a bit of a face lift. Great service, friendly staff. Don Pablo amenities are great. Some areas need better air conditioning. Beach and pool + bar service is amazing!

Sandals Jamaica Dunn's River: Very relaxing, small beach

My husband and I stayed from Aug 22-29. POSITIVES: Food was awesome, great variety. All bar and restaurant staff are wonderful. Special thanks to our waiter Kevin at the platinum restaurant, he was truly a jem and made my anniversary/honeymoon special. And amazing drinks and service from piano bar tender Garnett. Aquasize is a must with Junior, what a workout! Volleyball staff on the beach everyday were awesome! steel drum performance was Incredible!!! Japanese restaurant is delicious, our chef  [... read more]was Junior and he is hilarious! DOWNFALLS: Unfortunately, the front desk staff were not especially helpful or kind. Our room was on the fifth floor and was nice until it flooded from the roof due to rain. Front desk staff said they would switch our room, and never followed through. BEACH IS SMALL/rocky, and blocked off from other resorts so walking along the beach is 100meters long at best. construction on boardwalk made for noisy afternoons at the pool. CONCLUSION:Great place for relaxing vacation with mostly couples, very few families. Suggestion for day trip: Blue Hole!! We loved our guide Shamar. Tip well as they make the excursion so enjoyable and memorable.

Catalonia Montego Bay: amazing

Was great especially if you have kids, I felt very secure with my child on the property. Hospitality was great very friendly, always made sure you were taking care of. There were a couple bugs in the room but not a big deal.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Never a dull moment

There were always fun things to do at this resort. There was always some sort of games near the pool, you could take out paddle boats, hit the shops, and just relax. I stayed for 2 weeks and it still felt like not enough time. With all the excursion possibilities, I recommend at the very least a 1.5 week stay.
