Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Wonderful Vacation

Overall, the place was great! The food was phenomenal, staff were very kind and welcoming, and the ameninties were great. Only downsides? The beach isn't very long (only a 5min walk) and the nightly entertainment was repetitive. But otherwise, gorgeous and relaxing. Definitely worth a revisit!

Royalton Negril Resort And Spa: Grand Lido Negril

This Hotel was fantastic. Acces to the ocean was immediate. Beach was fantastic and very clean bottom. The small resort is showing signs of aging but it was very clean and the food was very good. 2 of the 3 restaurants on site were very tasty. Recommend the Japanese restaurant.

Royalton Negril Resort And Spa: Grand Lido is Great!

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time the entire week! The room was besutiful and clean. The food was great (buffet). We also enjoyed the Japanese and Greek restaurants. The staff was very friendly no matter where you were on the resort. We were steps away from our room to the beach which was amazing! Night life was pretty tame but if you want a relaxing vacation with no kids this is the place to go! We have already recommended it to many people!

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Great resort - needs a little facelift

Good resort, definitely worth the money - would come back. Place needs a bit of a face lift. Great service, friendly staff. Don Pablo amenities are great. Some areas need better air conditioning. Beach and pool + bar service is amazing!

Sandals Dunn's River: Very relaxing, small beach

My husband and I stayed from Aug 22-29. POSITIVES: Food was awesome, great variety. All bar and restaurant staff are wonderful. Special thanks to our waiter Kevin at the platinum restaurant, he was truly a jem and made my anniversary/honeymoon special. And amazing drinks and service from piano bar tender Garnett. Aquasize is a must with Junior, what a workout! Volleyball staff on the beach everyday were awesome! steel drum performance was Incredible!!! Japanese restaurant is delicious, our chef  [... read more]was Junior and he is hilarious! DOWNFALLS: Unfortunately, the front desk staff were not especially helpful or kind. Our room was on the fifth floor and was nice until it flooded from the roof due to rain. Front desk staff said they would switch our room, and never followed through. BEACH IS SMALL/rocky, and blocked off from other resorts so walking along the beach is 100meters long at best. construction on boardwalk made for noisy afternoons at the pool. CONCLUSION:Great place for relaxing vacation with mostly couples, very few families. Suggestion for day trip: Blue Hole!! We loved our guide Shamar. Tip well as they make the excursion so enjoyable and memorable.

Catalonia Montego Bay: amazing

Was great especially if you have kids, I felt very secure with my child on the property. Hospitality was great very friendly, always made sure you were taking care of. There were a couple bugs in the room but not a big deal.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Never a dull moment

There were always fun things to do at this resort. There was always some sort of games near the pool, you could take out paddle boats, hit the shops, and just relax. I stayed for 2 weeks and it still felt like not enough time. With all the excursion possibilities, I recommend at the very least a 1.5 week stay. The game staff were awesome, they were personable, remembered our names. They tried to involve you in games, but they were never a bother. The Oasis at Sunset: Good Family Resort

Travelled with my husband and two kids (1 year old and 4 year old). The kids loved the beach and waterpark. The room was a little small with four of us in it and the bathroom was super small. The buffet on the Sunset side was okay, however I much preferred the Terrace Restaurant and all the a la cartes. Sunset Beach Resort and Spa: Amazing family getaway

This was our very first family vacation and it was an amazing one. The staff at sunset beach resort are very welcoming , friendly and overall wonderful people. We had arrange a private 50th Birthday party and the staff went above and beyond to make everything perfect. Alot of activities for the kids including nightly entertainment and after hours for adults. Rooms are very clean. Please try the jerk chicken and fish sandwich from the grill , its the best.

Club Ambiance: A Jamaican resort for Jamaicans!

My background is Jamaican. The last time I visited the country was 20 yrs ago before my previous vacation! I wanted a resort that would make me feel like the hospitality of staying with family with roots and culture and I got exactly that!

Catalonia Montego Bay: Very good hotel

For the first time in Jamaica we didn't know what to expect. It was GREAT. The people were so friendly especially having two little girls the 7 and 4. They made us feel at home the food was really good, the pool and the beach were perfect for my girls. The enteranment was good .

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Hugely disappointing resort!

Nothing good there. Not a 4 star at all. Very disorganized and employees are not like north american hotelrie. When "concierge" has to check w her manager, its a big problem! Did not get my dollar value!

Riu Negril: EXCELLENT RESORTS

The hotels ground was beautiful kept, the food very very good, the service was excellent, the location was very good the pool was very clean and also the room . The staff at the hotel made you feel at home, they go out of their way to made your stay comfortable

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Much appreciated the Luxury sections of the resort

Luxury sections (pool area, beach area, buffet style restaurant, lobby, hotel room) were nice and tranquil. We had a very nice relaxing stay. Excursions organized through the tour operators at the resort were very good. Something we observed/realized while traveling in Jamaica: Workers in the tourism business expect tips (bus drivers, guides, restaurant/bar employees, housekeeping, etc). You pretty much have to have a bit of money on you at all times (even at the resort).

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Should not be called Grand Bahia! Broken!

Everything was broken. No trolleys like at other Bahias. Food was good but the service was slow. Bartenders on the beach are cool but at times limited to mixes. The night club reeked of sewage. Do not go!

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Luxury Bahia Principe

The grounds were very well kept and the staff was amazingly helpful (well, most of them anyways). The food was not very good, unfortunately. One thing I was amazed with (and not in a good way) was that they barely served any Jamaican food. You are in Jamaica so I would expect some sort of their cuisine, at least. Sandals South Coast: Relaxing Trip

This was our first visit to Sandals Whitehouse, we have previously stayed at Sandals Grande Riviera and Sandals Royal Caribbean. The drive from the airport was long (11/2 hrs.) but not as rough as some people have made it out to be. Overall the staff at Whitehouse are very friendly, helpful and want you to have a great vacation. Special thank you to Keon, Henry, Renaldo, Richard, Annakay and last but not least Shanice!, bartenders at the main pool swim-up bar. We never had a bad meal and tried a [... read more]ll but the Asian restaurant. Try and get a table closest to the ocean for a great view of the sunset at Bluefields restaurant. We had a deluxe room and it was bigger than we expected, although it would be nice if all their rooms had bigger bathrooms like the higher level suits. My only other problem with Sandals in general is that in Jamaica you have to stay in a concierge or butler suite to get free wi-fi. We used Club Mobay before returning home and felt it was worth it for the comfort, food and service.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Some issues....

We had a 4 hour wait until our rooms were ready as plane landed before checking time. Found beach was great. But when the group of 20 of us returned fir room, 2 rooms still weren't ready . 2 more hours before room ready. Not fun. Food awesome and all other services great. Except initial check in. Wedding group enjoyed most of the hotel.

Catalonia Montego Bay: beautiful resort

service was awesome , people were extremely friendly always eager to say hello or good morning , food was fantastic . entertainment is a little slow for my taste , but I would very much recommend this resort for singles , couples and families.
