Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Never going to Bahia Principe in The Dominican republic again!

From the minute we arrived, it was a mess! Paid extra to be in Golden suite what a joke. Room wasn't ready although it should be by 5 o'clock, that wasn't it we had no towels in room or shampoo so we called and they brought to us, but this went on everyday I guess they wanted to be tipped every time we called. The air conditioning unit did not work for first three days, the mini refrigerator in room did not work at all had it replaced on last day. I just want to say that I had stayed at Bahia Principe at least 7 times prior to this one and have been going to Dominican Republic for 30 years and have stayed at Bahia in different countries too but what happened here its my last. Everything has changed I remember they would put on a nice food spread, not anymore! They have a lot of people employed but its like they don't care, they have cut back on food for sure, quality is not there. To be quite honest I think that management is very poor they did nothing to help us with the room situation although I called 30 maybe 40 times no one would step up to the plate. Oh by the way I had 2 rooms the second had a mosquito, and bugs infestation that could not get rid off. Beach still nice but resort not.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Recent stay at Bahia Principe Mexico

We recently returned from a one week stay at this amazing resort. As with the last time we stayed there; it was exceptionally. We have travelled to many all-inclusives and this by far is one of the best. The private beach area is now bigger and nicer ( lots of space, chairs etc.). The trolleys run continually. We never waited more than a few minutes. The food was exceptional both at the buffet and a la carte restaurants. Use of the other three hotels (Akumal, Tulum, Coba) on this complex just a [... read more]dded to the enjoyment. Every employee we encountered was a joy to deal with. They were helpful, courteous, friendly and genuinely seemed very happy in their work. I would highly recommend this hotel or any of the four in the Bahia Principe Complex.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Amazing resort,home away from home.

We like this hotel,that is why we go there 3 to 4 times per year. The ground amazing,clean and green it is looks like paradise, the food excellent You can find what to eat even if You on special diet or simple have a vierd taste. The people that serves You very friendly every stap You hear"Hi,Haw are You?Haw we can help?What do You need?"Anything You need,Just ask and they will get it for You.Everything in the resort clean and fresh,people working around the clock to make You comfortable.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Beautiful resort

Pros: The grounds and room were beautiful and spacious. Everything is within a short walk from your room -beach, pool, and restaurants. There was a leak in our bathroom and it was fixed quickly. The staff was always friendly and helpful. Requesting scented pillows was a treat. Shuttle to access the other joining resorts was convenient. Cons: the restaurants, pool and bars close early, pool is very warm, room wasn't always cleaned till later in the day

Excellent resort, great food, friendly staff. it was our anniversary and they gave us a free upgrade and at our dinner they gave us s yummy chocolate cake nicely decorated for our anniversary. The activity staff were helpful . It was a great time. We would come again.

Bahia Principe Explore Turquesa: Great resort

The resort is huge!!! Lots to do and lots of walking however there are train trolleys to take you around. Like a mini shuttle. Lots of restaurants. Variety of food was good. Service was good! A la carte restaurants were good!! Lots of fish meals. Fresh! Water park was perfect size. My kids aged 7 and 8 loved it!!!!!! Lots of pools lots of activities. Dance lessons aerobics. If there was one thing I didn't like was housekeeping. Never enough towels always and late the front desk took care of it.

Bahia Principe Explore Turquesa: Beautiful resort.

The hotel was absolutely beautiful and the grounds were very well kept. The food was amazing and we had no complaints with the buffet at all. The only issue was with our check-in and our maid service. When we arrived we had to wait in line to check in for one hour and not because the line was long but because several guests staying at the resort who were Mexican continually budded in front of us, slipped the counter staff some money and got served while we continued to wait to be served.  [... read more]With respect to the maid service, it was terrible. I was continually left with no toilet paper in my room and no towels. Despite advising the desk on numerous occasions, it continued to happen almost every day. Midway through my vacation, the maid took the comforter off my bed and never returned it despite my complaining to the front desk. I also did not realize when I booked this hotel that it was not on the beach and it would have been nice if the person I dealt with at trip central had informed me of that as I did not notice it on the website. As an aside, the bartenders were fantastic, most especially Jose at the lobby bar - he was great.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Absolutely beautiful!

I would recommend this resort to friends and family. The ocean is amazing and the pool was great the people you meet the employees, all wonderful! I have only one complaint and that was Mother Nature forgot to tell me about the mosquito's, remember to bring repellent. Oh and the food, well there was always something good to eat! This was a great vacation.

Pleasant rooms Plenty of very good food Easy access to a good beach with little trains Wi-fi surprisingly only for 1 hour a day free. Lobby, theatre and dining room uncomfortable and risky licking on natural palm leaves roofs on rainy times that happens often

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Wonderful vacation

This resort is absolutely one on the best I have stayed ... Everything from the room , pool , grounds, food was superb .. Would go back in a heart beat ... Loved it ... The staff at this resort was the best !

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Inconsistent service

We are returning clients to Bahia Príncipe chain( 4 times, first time in Jamaica). Service at this hotel,restaurants and rooms is inconsistent. Food is good , rooms and halls in the hotel could be cleaner. Beach is nice, but looks like is difficult to manage such a huge hotel and provide consistent service, they struggle. Staff is not going the extra step to make a difference.

Not a single complaint! Everything was fantastic...weather, grounds, food, service and drinks! Loved the fact it's 18+ but with that it was a little too quiet in the evenings sometimes but that's just my observation. Worth every penny! Planning our next trip back in a few months!!

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Good resort- 4.5 stars

The resort seemed like a village- which was too big for us. They had golf carts to bring you around the resort. Overall, the food was good but we have had better food at another Mexican resort. They did have premium liquor which was nice. You need to book restaurants right away. Many were booked but when you went to your reservations there were empty seats. The beach is not too great- very rocky and many wave barriers. The pools were nice. The entertainment was good. Our four year old daughter l [... read more]oved some of the activity directors at the pool. Biggest downfall was the weather. There was a tropical storm have the time. Currency- pesos or US.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Hugh resort

We have been to many resorts and this one blows everyone of them. 18 a la cart restaurants 3 hugh pools including a sick infinity pool where you can watch the ocean waves crash onto the shore. If thats not enough,try the cove where its blocked off to make snorkelers have a crazy clam water bay to feed hundreds of fish with bread or bananas. Feeling tired and want to get off your feet? Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Excellent time all around!

We were impressed with the service, the food and the resort In general. The drinks were good and there were lots of choices when it came to food. The beach was great and the beach service was good. You could go up to the bar if you didn't feel like waiting. The shuttle between the resorts was quick, we never really had to wait too long for one. The one key piece of advice we can offer is to make your dinner reservations ASAP. Even using the app we were left with limited choices and without [... read more] a reservation at all on one night. Luckily the buffet offered lots of choice so we weren't too disappointed. Overall, the service was great and the resort wasn't overly large so as to make it difficult to navigate. Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Awesome resort

This was our first time in Jamaica and can't wait to go back some day . The hotel was beautiful ,all areas were immaculately kept. The staff was so welcoming ,helpful, and some staff very entertaining all seem to enjoy their jobs . The rooms were spotless, The food was excellent ! Best we have ever had at an all inclusive . Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Good but not a true 5*

Rooms was beautiful. Food was okay. The Italian at the hotel was not good, but at the Esmerald was very very good. The service was not the best and everything you asked was a no at first until you argue with them.

The Eurostars Grand Cayacoa: Beautiful Resort!

The grounds are beautiful- although the rooms are a little dated. The beach area is small but nice and at no time did I feel like it was lacking anything. The great thing about the beach is there is a lunch time buffet set up everyday so you can eat without going into the hotel. The hotel is a small hotel in the sense that its only 250 rooms so at no time do you feel overwhelmed by people. The food was good and the resort was very clean. Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Looking forward to returning again (and again!)

This was our third time at the Luxury Bahia Principe Ambar. The check-in was super easy although I'm not sure why it takes place at the Ambar 3, where there aren't any rooms, while our room was in the always wonderful Ambar 1. The staff at every station throughout the resort, (housekeeping, gardening, servers, chefs, hostesses) are most gracious, happy and helpful. There were a few burned out light bulbs at the entrance of the room and the soap holder in the shower needed a bit of a repair, but other than that, the room was lovely. The food is delicious! We ate dinner at several a la cartes and enjoyed them equally as the buffet. The beach is beautiful and the maintenance staff work so hard at sweeping the boardwalk and clearing the sand from the lounges! Great job! The only thing that we found to be a little disheartening are the guests who save lounges at the beach and/or pool and never seem to arrive. I'm not sure the resort can prevent guests from being so non-courteous.
