Gran Muthu Almirante Beach Resort: Exceeded all expectations.Great resort. New and Spotless.

We stayed January 16-23 2023 and the whole experience was great. The resort is new and spotlessly clean. The staff are amazing from the gardeners to the wait staff to the lifeguards. The food is excellent but its Cuba and we did run out of things from time to time but nothing that took away from the experience at all. We stayed in a standard king room which was beyond our expectations, new and very modern. Other highlights were the Japanese and seafood restaurants as well as Cuba day where they do an outdoor pig roast. Fantastic.

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Smaller than expected but was amazing.

Half the resort was empty front desk said there was 300 people there. Got to know a lot of staff by name. And they knew our names as well. If you tip well they take care of you. Rudolf made sure my drink was never empty and new all of our drink orders for our entire group of 9. If you participate in the events they’ll love you.

Grand Memories Holguin: A fantastic resort for Cuba

Everything was great. Hotel was at a low capacity which kept a lot of things closed in the hotel which we understand. Staff are new to tourism and most dont speak any english but they make up for it with there smiles and there work ethic. Dont come if you want night life outside of the resort as there is now towns anywhere near the resort. If you want to enjoy the weather and the resort this is a great place to come.

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Great resort!

The hotel was great. All the areas are clean and well maintained. The rooms are big and with all you need for a comfortable stay. Bars are restaurants are well stocked, food doesn't impress but also doesn't disappoint. Overall 4out of 5*

Grand Aston Cayo Paredon Beach Resort: Beautiful resort…!

Very nice and lovely resort, very clean, beautiful pools, my wife and me we had a wonderful time, the rooms are spacious and very clean, the food was ok, the staff do and excelent job, thanks to everyone who help us in everything…!

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Got what i paid for

Grounds were well maintained..Food was good but no variety.Rooms were clean but no hot water most days.Staff was great..Very friendly great service.I would like to add they should get a 15 minute break at least to eat they are starving

Playa Pesquero: Snorkel and Massage are the highlights!

The resort is very inviting and the grounds are stunning. The gardening and housekeeping staff are amazing. The coffee bar and staff are the best! I did not get to know the bartenders at all as they had no mix so not being a wine or beer drinker I was not able to partake. The buffet cooks are great and doing the best they can with what they have but the staff clearing and setting tables were not good any of the nights. Tables were left soiled for a long time and silverware that appeared to be un [... read more]used was always left on the table for the next person. Tables were not wiped down either. I was expecting the food to be repetitive as Cuba always is but they are even more limited since the pandemic than ever before. Be prepared to live off of bread, cheese, pork and yuca. Breakfast was the best meal as the omelettes were always amazing. The pizza on the beach is great but line up is long and they are only open for 2 hours. The pool is stunning and nice and cool. Also, I came home with over 60 bug bites on my legs. I think they are possibly sand fleas? Take your snorkel, SO much to see! AND go for a massage! Book early as you will def want to book another.

Grand Memories Holguin: Very good

Very nice hotel, people there were super kind. No orange juice, no cola, but lots of everything else. The beach was a bit sea weedy but warm salt water. Warmer than the hotel cool pools. Had a pigs ear with the best beer. Perfect trip

Barcelo Solymar: Great resort

The hotel has a lot to offer and grounds are very well maintained. All the staff right from the front desk to the gardeners are always pleasant. Spent a week in a bungalow and was not disappointed at all. The location is a few minute walk to the boulevard and a ten minute walk to the best piñcolada bar!!!

Valentin Perla Blanca: Deceiving

We went to Valentin, because of great reviews about the beach. Unfortunately, big rocks were all over the beach and the start of the sea. We arrived at 1AM, but the room was clearly not ready: fridge was empty, no beach towels, only 2 single beds (we were 3). Half the resort was left to ruin. The other half was good. We moved to Memories, thanks to the Sunwing representative, there we had a wonderful beach, and great service.

Playa Pesquero: Beautiful Resort, Amazing Staff

The beach and ocean were spectacular, the staff were so friendly and helpful. The resort is older but very well maintained and beautiful. in Cuba, the food is not amazing on a good day, let alone in pandemic times. Our expectations weren’t high, we’ve been to Cuba several times pre-Covid, but the food was worse than expected. Either too salty or bland, they offered lots of cabbage, tomatoes, pork, rice, plain spaghetti noodles (sometimes red sauce or white sauce if they had it), fresh pa [... read more]paya, canned fruit cocktail, canned tuna, cheese, lunch meat, eggs, & bread. There was not a variety of any sort of vegetables or fresh fruits, no chicken or salads, no potatoes. There weren’t limes or lemons for drinks, or even club soda, tonic or other mixes for alcohol. This was disappointing. Overall it was a good vacation, but until Cuba is able to offer better food/drinks we won’t be paying $1100 per person again to go there. I cannot recommend this resort at this time, especially at the pricing for a vacation there over $1000.

Brisas Del Caribe: Hotel maximum three stars definitely not four

Hotel was busy and was not ready for so many people. In the all bars was not enough glasses. In dining area was not any cups for coffee or tea. They served beverages in glass. Entertainment very poor. Food was exceptionally good . All areas was very clean. Was not enough beach towels. Three stars max .

Vila Gale Cayo Santa Maria: Amazing resort and service

The resort was very spacious and kept in great condition. The service was amazing and the staff was extremely friendly, the food wasn't the best it was very hard to feel full after every meal but aside from that I 100% recommend this resort to anyone considering visiting Cuba. There is a lot to do no matter the time of day

Vila Gale Cayo Santa Maria: Amazing Resort

The resort was great, clean! The personnel was ok, some are amazing, some are just ok. The food was also ok, every day the same:) Kind of sad, but still ok, can survive. LOL The beach!!!! OMG, loved it. Rooms are great, luck of room service. Wi-Fi very weak, they give the access for couple of hours, and you have to call the lobby to update it, does not work everywhere. Will we go there again?! For sure as for me is more important the ocean and the beach!

Occidental Arenas Blancas: Best resort in Varadero

If you enjoy crystal clear beaches, resort entertainment and walking distance night-life parties, then look no further. This resort is located central downtown so you are 2 minutes from the district and 10 minutes from commercial shopping centre. The most popular cigar store is across the street. There is daily games on the resort and the beach, nightly entertainment and friendly staff all around. Excursion must would be Cayo Blanco cruise where you will have interaction with dolphins and a private island leisure where you can eat the most delicious Lobster tail. This resort is even better than Barcelo Solymar (sister resort next door) and amenities are shared (except for buffet). Great resort for adults and children!

Paradisus Varadero: Great resort friendly people

The hotel was nice rooms were decent and staff was very polite and friendly had a great time relaxing and enjoying the beach! Food was ok I would recommend taking your own spices and hot sauce if you enjoy flavour! would recommend as soon as you get there to book al cart restaurants as they did book up! Drinks were good bahama mama was our favourite! I would suggest taking items you no longer need as staff really appreciate that (baby items,shoes, creams, clothes) vs tips. Beach was beautiful, pools were good but cold water January they mentioned weather can be windy and cold one day and then super hot the next would recommend to pack a light jacket or sweater to have on those days! Overall nice place to visit friendly people all around felt safe going into the town.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Tired Resort

We were unable to book an a la carte. Said nothing available until week after our stay. Yet other people we met went in and got a booking the same day and next day. Messages are very inconsistent. We definitely did not have a superior renovated room. No coffee maker as described in amenities. Air conditioner soooo loud. Requested a coffee maker - took 2 days - friend requested coffee maker after me and received within 2 hours. Hot water 2 out of 7 days. Shortages everyday from eggs to beve [... read more]rages. Feel like if you were not Diamond Club it was very difficult to get any service in dining room or book anything. Will not be returning and would not recommend.

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Santa Maria: Amazing Resort

Well it was my first time at this resort and I must say it’s gorgeous, the grounds were beautiful and well kept , pools were awesome and well maintained. Beach is wow !!!!! We stayed at the Sanctuary side (adults only) and the bungalows were older but clean , ya it could use a new paint job and tighten a few loose screws but overall very comfortable and clean !!!!! The food , well let’s just say I normally have issues with food when I go to Cuba but not this time , the food was delicious, maybe one meal was meh but for me to eat this was by far spectacular!!!!! I can’t wait to go back and I hope to see Rudy and Glendy as they were amazing people!!!!!!

What is written in the annotation of the hotel does not correspond to reality. More than three-quarters of the hotel is closed. Strange as it may seem, the best part doesn't work. The administration explains this as the consequences of the 2019 hurricane, but I would say this is a consequence of the work of the hotel staff. Food - as usual in Cuba. The beach is good, but dirty, for some reason the garbage is not cleaned very well.
