Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: "Respect"

  3 Aug. 2014 Great place, Friendly staff, Good food, Great room, stayed in room 23605. This is a lovely room with a perfect view. Staying in the luxury is a must for this resort and worth it.what they say on the website about luxury is true!! Room was cleaned daily and well done. Great entertainment every night. Special thanks to Maria Benzene Resident mangar DPC and all her staff.They did a great job and made us feel welcome. Will go back! Filippahusam 

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Beautiful Resort!

Overall, the resort was awesome, a couple knocks against it would be the restaurants, you almost need to book before you go because there were never any openings. Buffets were good, but get old quick. Not to sound cheap, but the tipping got a little out of hand, we paid good money to go to a 5-star resort, I'd spend a little more and go to a Sandals and likely end up spending the same amount of money.

Catalonia Montego Bay: Fun Time

We enjoyed our week at Holiday Inn Sunspree. We met a number of great people and the individual beachs were unique although crowded. The small island was a hit with many and the families surely enjoyed this resort. The staff was very friendly and competent;however,we expected more variety in the food served at the buffet.We recommend this resort to families.

Jewel Runaway Bay Resort: The Best Family vacation in a long time

The grounds were impeccably clean. The staff were all very friendly. The rooms were clean and spacious. The kids loved it their and 4 months later are still talking about it. The food was great! They very kindly with no fuss accomodated all our requests. My son has alot of allergies and for every meal made him something special. It was actually waiting for him. He felt very special. SeaGarden Beach Resort: Nice place to stay for first time visit

One needs to remember that this place is still under construction. Not everything has been upgraded yet so there is much that would should be improved. Basically I had always wanted to go to Jamaica and this was priced low enough that it allowed me to visit. I'm glad I went, this hotel served its purpose for me and was good enough for the most part. If money is tight but looking to visit Jamaica and they are still priced so much lower then everyone else then book this hotel, enjoy it for what it [... read more] is and keep expectations low and be happy. If I ever return I would not stay at this place a second time but it was good enough for a first time. The management seems like they do care and are actively working on service, as an example we noticed a handful of servers the first few days that were rude and fairly lazy (when you requested something is seemed like you were putting them out), by day 4 these people were let go and replaced by new employees that had a really good attitude and made the atmosphere much better. I asked one of the managers and they confirmed that they replaced the workers and that they were not just on days off. That being said it was not the best place I've stayed at by a long shot. Food - Let me start by saying I'm not picky when it comes to food at resorts. If I can find a couple of items I can eat daily then I'm happy enough. Their diners were great with usually 3 choices for meats and amazing salad (I'm not a big salad guy but went back numerous times for more as everything was so fresh and full of flavor). On the other hand it is the worse breakfast setup I've ever seen. Almost nothing was edible. I ended up eating yogurt and cereal boxes (well the cereal and not the boxes). It wasn't until one of our last days that we found out you could request an omelette to be made for you, next to no one knew this. Lunches for the most part were decent, nothing great but you could eat. Not much in the way of eating or snacks between diner hours, you could request a burger in the afternoon but they didn't seem too fond of making them. Rooms - Nice and Clean. We had an ocean view with small balcony and it was nice to sit in the morning and watch everything start for the day. NO COFFEE makers, would need to run down and get a coffee and bring back too room, no stocked fridge either, meaning not even water. As far as water - water pressure was something to be desired, to the point that at times the water would stop for a moment when taking a shower and for the most part there was no hot water to speak of, not that you really needed that much hot water but it would have been nice. The bad thing with the ocean view was that this resort is along a main road that runs between the hotel and the beach. So at night you could hear everyone blasting music, racing, and partying, the doors to patio were not sound suppressing in the slightest. Also not really sound proof between rooms but never had an issue with this when there. Beach - Not much for a beach area but what they had was really nice and felt like you were in your own little private area. From what I could see this was the same for most resort beaches there until you went high end. I really enjoyed the beach area and they were working on construction and upgrades for the beach at the time. I've seen some reviews complaining about the planes landing and flying directly overhead but this really was not an issue at all, meaning it happened but there are only so many flights a day and it did not take away from the beach experience at all. Bars - Service was very slow for most part. Really only one bar serving the resort. The staff were caught between providing service and trying to be friendly. They really needed a second bar open or at least another 2 staff members. But you learn to order multiple drinks at a time. For the most part not much for variety in the booze dept either. And this is coming from someone that doesn't really drink.

Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: Beautiful and Fun

The staff is very nice, and easy going the beach was amazing. There were great activities for everyone. We had a lot of fun ! The entertainment was great, they really like to involve the quests at the hotel.

We had the time of our life at this resort! Everything was perfect! We enjoyed the food, cleanliness of the room, as well as the entire hotel. The grounds were clean and well kept. The staff was friendly in all areas of service! We will go back!!!

I absolutely loved this resort! Hotel, pool, ocean and resort grounds were all awesome the food was great! If I had to complain about something it would say there could be alittle more food options at the night time burger joint they only have hotdogs and hamburgers.

The overall impression was great!! The staff were super friendly, the hotel was impeccably clean and our room was big and spacious. The beach was really nice I just wish it was bigger. I liked the pool entertainment and music. It always made for a great afternoon.

This resort is very nice. It has all the main qualities you look for in a break from work and the cold. The grounds are very beautiful and well maintained. the beach is gorgeous with clean and warm water to swim in. the rooms are nice with great views and very clean. Grand Decameron Montego Beach: Amazing hotel and staff!

The price is very reasonable the hotel is clean, great food and a perfect location. This resort is on the beach five minutes from the airport, within walking distance to everything and has a beautiful beach area. The staff go out of there way to accommodate your needs. It is not a five star as it is an older property but they give you five star service.

Catalonia Montego Bay: Great Resort

It was a very nice hotel. With out standing beaches and a great staff . The sunrise looks nice from the resort. The food was very good and available all the time. The room was clean and had everything we needed.

Sandals Ochi Beach Resort: Not what you would expect from Sandals

Second time to Jamaica, first time at a Sandals. Love Jamaica and I expect we would like other Sandals locations but this one seemed to come up short for us. Ultra all inclusive isn't really accurate. Little things like wifi you had to pay for. We asked to visit the resort adjacent and was told there was a fee. When we went to confirm our visit was told we could not even visit but if we were staying at the other we could come to GR?? just seemed weird. The resort is huge but you do not get that  [... read more]feeling, especially on the beach side. It's very confined when it comes to waterfront with really very little beach front. If you like long beach walks, plain and simple, stay somewhere else. If you have mobility issues, stay somewhere else as there are a ton of stairs on the beach side of the property even to get from one section of the beach to the other. As you can probably tell I'm not a fan but don't let that stop you form Jamiaca or other Sandals in Jamaica but I believe there are far better options...especially at this price point. All the whining aside, the food was good, no complaints there.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Would not go back

Though the staff were friendly they were indifferent to the needs of guests. Towels and face clothes were limited or none ecistant. Great jerk chicken at the jerk chicken bar but every time we went there we had to wait for either cutlery or plates or both. The pool didn't have steps into it unless you belonged to the privileged club, not great for someone with limited mobility. Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Very Nice Resort!

The grounds, rooms, dining facilities were all exceptional. The Italian a la carte, was the best! must try the coffee cart! We had the upgrade bracelet, so the a la cartes wee booked for us, no line ups, however we die change the times. We also found if we had a late dinner, say 9:00, we were able to go to the restaurant early and were able to get right in. The pool was wonderful, as well as the staff were very friendly. The only thing we didn't care for, was the beach area right in front of the hotel; it was quite gravelly, and not at all to our liking. However, a short walk out to the left of the hotel, was their great beach, the beach massage area, as well as the beach restaurant - yummy jerk chicken! and a howling cook - fun stuff!

Riu Ocho Rios: Great time at a great resort!

The layout of the hotel was great - we ate almost every meal with a view of the ocean. The grounds and facilities were also great! The beach was perfect and we never had trouble finding chairs on the beach. The food was amazing and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Royalton Hideaway Blue Waters: incredible! !

Everything was great! The food, the drinks, the service! We were there on our honeymoon and we're treated so well! Upgraded room free of charge! I would go back to this resort again without a doubt! Great for families with children! Water park looked fun and was only 45 minutes from Montego Bay airport. Looking forward to planning a trip back there with the kids.

Moon Palace Jamaica: Sunset Jamaica Grand Ochio Rios

My husband and I with two other couples stayed at this hotel. it was quite nice. we enjoyed how close it was to the town of Ochio Rios. the food was good at all the A-la-cartes and the buffets had good choices. rooms were always clean and hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. I would suggest that you stay in the south tower as it is closer to more and newer remodel.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Beautiful resort , but no air conditioning

We had a room that had room with a malfuncting air conditioning problem, they wouldn't move us and so we laid on top of our sheets until we passed out! We had a basket of fruit delivered , but our "crazy" maid threw it out!

The Oasis at Sunset: So safe! So friendly!

This is a wonderful place - great for families. I've never felt so free travelling in the Caribbean before! From potable tap water to super friendly and courteous staff - it was our most memorable holiday to date! We did not leave the grounds during our 5 day stay and didn't run out of fun things to do. I've never been so often gently and politely encouraged to return to a place before. It was such a pleasure. The property is so close to the airport yet waterfront.
