Muthu Colonial Hotel: Nice to stay

Beautiful view from my room, clean ,beaches are the most beautiful in Cuba. Shows every evening nice to see, I like salt pool the most as I am not very good swimmer in ocean, Everybody can find something to have a good time.

Hotel Playa Coco: Great Time

Everything was always clean, Staff was great very helpful and always fun. Would go back for sure. Make sure you see Judy at the swim up bar. Went on the catamaran had a blast caught fish while out on it. Food was always good. Breakfast was the best fresh omeletes

Muthu Colonial Hotel: Great Time!

Check in was fast and efficient. The room had a water pressure issue for a couple of hours one day as they were repairing a pipe but that was the only difficulty. The view from the balcony was amazing! I gained 5 lbs. while away so I would have to say there was lots to eat with friendly servers and preparation staff in the buffet. Since we enjoyed the buffet, we decided we didn't need to hit any of the specialized restaurants. Good, efficient service. A great trip!

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: good resort

the best thing about this resort is the beach, the rest is average. I had good time exept for made steeling may sweater that I did not know till the morning we were leaving by then was to late to ask, we check out at 7am.

Hotel Playa Paraiso: Are you a resort person?

Then u would like this one. Are you French Canadian? You will find lots of people to make friends with. If your looking for a laid back and relaxing vacation this would be the place. Adventurist, shoppers, cultural seekers, explorers , adrenaline junkies and naturalists need not apply!

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Not as good as I expected

They like return business and I think they respond well to direct contact with their sales manager. Our standard room was upgraded to a superior ocean view for no extra cost. Grounds and rooms are in good condition. Pillows are not good. Mattress isn't the best. TV and reception is good. Shower is very good. Food is ok but all 4 people in our group experienced minor intestinal issues for the 10 days we were there. This was our first experience with this issue in our 7 previous visits to cuba.  [... read more] The beach was a bit of a disappointment because if you catch high tides during the day you can't walk the beach and there is very little space at the beach to actually sun. The pool wasn't the best. It's small and the prime seats disappear quickly in the morning. I went to get our seats at 7:30 am. The resort wasn't near full capacity and they did not have enough seating on some days. Also crowding was an issue. Noise and behaviour of guests was an issue because of the high number of guests from la belle province. They seem to like to travel in large gruops. It seems like this a popular resort for them. The staff was good but, not exceptional. They weren't as outgoing as they are at other reorts we have visited. The dancers on a couple of nights was outstanding. Costuming was really good. A few weak nights but overall pretty good.

Melia Jardines del Rey: amazing will go back

the staff of this hotel are amazing right down to the grounds keepers.always heard bad things about food in cuba but here the food was excellent.first time in cuba will be back soon.went in off season so hotel was not quite full, but still a good time.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Amazing resort.

Beach was not so good. But unless you have young kids playing in the sand who needs that much sand anyway! All you need is a chair the sun and then ocean!! Resort and staff were amazing!!! Food was excellent.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Will definitely return to Memories Flamenco!

Beautiful resort and people are so friendly. We experienced all 3 ala crate restaurants as well as the main buffet. Although food is not A+, there was always something offered that was quite enjoyable.

Melia Jardines del Rey: Great resort

Overall a beautiful resort. Beach isn't great but still lovely to look at. We were without water two nights in a row so couldn't shower. Mini fridge was never restocked even though we always left a very good tip. I would still go back.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Good but could be much better

Very small resort but it made everything close and easy to get to. I thought they did a great job keeping the grounds up and was enjoyable to walk around. The biggest issue at this resort is the food. Fresh grill stations were great but premade food was terrible. Worst desserts we have had at a resort and breakfast, other then the omelet station was almost dreadful. The lobby area was fantastic other then the wicker seats...very uncomfortable as they are missing all the cushions. Management said [... read more] they were on order so hopefully they will fix this issue because lobby is a great place to hang out. Loved the entertainment in the evenings in the lobby, local musicians were very enjoyable. Shows were terrible other then the Broadway night. With a few tweaks here and there this could be a great resort rather then just ok. They have to correct the quality and variety of the food. Also, I was getting tired of having the cook staff whispering to us that they would secretly sell and cook us up some lobster.

Sol Cayo Coco: would return

food a little disappointment,but great service beds and sheets need updating but very clean maid swept and mopped room daily overall the resort is in great shape all staff very friendly would return again when we save up some more cucs

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Pleasantly Surprised

Our first trip to Memories Caribe we found the hotel reception friendly and prompt. Stayed only 2 nights , nice resort , good food, amazing staff , good nightly shows , but no disco club . nice piano bar for after hours ... wish they would more on entertainment , but over all... nice place.... AMAZING BEACH. Not a fan of the pools and swim up bars. Took the excursion to the reef to see coral and fish, nice distraction but a little overrated.

Melia Cayo Coco: Great resort

Everything was good. Resort is getting a little tired but they are improving some things. Italian and Cuban restaurants could improve there food. I found the food in the buffet was better in April than in November. All in all was a good vacation.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Exactly right

Now let me start put by saying I'm easy going in my expectations of a trip. I realize I'm going to a different country. Especially a country which has very little USA involvement in its economic structure. So I put all standards away and I just travel. That being said. I would hands down recommend this place. And I would return there again. We did the diamond club upgrade. And I'll say for us totally worth it. We did not see any non members using any of our perks. The lobster dinner was fabulous [... read more]. The beach wait staff - a very awesome benefit. And yes we saw people turned away who weren't club member. The beach when calm. Beautiful. But on the DC side. Coral. So water shoes a must looks like they weren't needed on the other part of the beach. The water when calm was like bath water. Lovely color and clear. However for us. Lots of red flag days as it was pretty windy alot of our stay. The hotel staff. Fantastic. German at the front desk. That guy pulled out all stops to helps us. Even surprised my boyfriend with a cake at the lobster dinner for his birthday. Yes the hotel could use some repairs. But which hotel wouldn't when ur faced with high Temps and humidity as well as moisture all year round. But with that. They were constantly working on something. Trying to keep the life in it. If ur looking for a party place. Not sure this is it. Great place for a family. Or even a couple who just wants to turn everything off and chill. But the entertainment staff were great the shows we caught. You must see the Michael Jackson show. It's a must. Brilliant. The food. Not once did we go hungry. We always found something we enjoyed. Yes some cooks aren't the greatest but you learnt which ones were and they never failed. The smoothie girl is adorable and always upbeat she was a must visit every morning. The foam party. What a blast. For young and old. I'm so glad we hung out for it. Make sure u get involved in it. Totally worth it. Some bartenders were like the cooks. Not the best. But others totally did it up perfectly. We stayed in bungalow 3 which looked over the kids area. It really was the perfect spot. Besides the snack bar. Close to the pool. The beach. I'd recommend this area. Again rooms do need some tlc. Little bit of moisture mold on bathroom ceiling. But I heard if u ask them to clean it they will come in with bleach. I wasn't worried. There was a towel strike on while we were there. So didn't have beach towels but we asked for extra room towels. No problem. Asked for extra pillows. No problem. The kids club my girls went to a few times. Diane is one of those ladies who was meant to take care of kids. My girls and us adored her. She made each kid feel as though they were the only ones in the room. Ala cartes. We kept missing our times. Only one we made it to was the Asian and we enjoyed it. The chicken was to die for. Our friends made it to every meal and said they were all delicious. Our trips out ... Pilar beach. If it's windy don't waste ur time. We went and left within 30 mins. Speed boat. Fun. Girls enjoyed the little boats we drove. And the snorkeling was good time. Dolphin swim. Had to as we have a huge dolphin lover. We're not disappointed. We loved that even though they are penned the dolphins decided how they wanted to be involved and the staff worked around their behavior. The walk to the little market. Not much to buy. But there is a guy named Adrian I think who is a phenomenal artist. We had him do portraits of the girls. In 20 mins time he truly captured each of them exactly as they are. He's worth the time to check out. And worth the time to appreciate. Some tips Bring a flashlight. It does get dark. Not the best lite Bring bug repellent. They loved me but no one else in our party. WiFi totally sucks. Apparently Samsung phones can't connect to their server tried all week. Finally got on at the airport. If u can go longer then 7 days. Do it. We wish we had. Remember your not in ur country. Your on vacation. These people work 12-20 hour days 6 days at week to make that enjoyable for you. Remember to thank them. Treat them as people. Not as servants as some people do :( This is one of the very few places I'd actually return to. I miss it already. Sorry for the long post. If there are any things you want to know ask away. I'd really hate anyone to miss this gem because of a few bad reviews.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Work in progress

The people were great but there were no phones working and the rooms needed some work. There was a lot of maintenance happening to get ready for busy season so I'm sure it will improve. The a la cartes we're not very good and the selection of food was limited.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Beautiful gardens and landscaping first impression

Are room was in unit 9. The farther away no problem exercise was good and walk was beautiful. Then we were on the 3rd floor. Lots of exercise. It was a good thing since numerous guest advised us of cockroaches from the 1st and 2nd floor units. At night the walk wasn't as pleasant since lots of path lights were burnt out. We have read the beach was not the best and was very rocky. That is defeinately true. Went to "pillar beach" very recommended excursion. Nice sand,but not clean. Lots of empty b [... read more]ottles piled all over. Food was good at the snack grill, beach bbq and speciality restaurants. It took a while of flagging down servers to get you water or alcoholic drinks. Very slow. The shows at night were good. It isn't Vegas but definitely worth going to. Unfortunately the small kids entertained us before the show and the parents were not responsible to remove the kids from stage when the preformers started. It is stated not to reserve lounge chairs but numerous vacationers didn't do this. At 10am at the 2 pools with over 200 loungers you can't find any loungers. There isn't that many people lounging or on the pool. Around 230 you will notice vacationers coming for their loungers. I will PLAY differently if this happens next time. There were holes pavement - no staff attended to the problem. Over al this would not change the good time I had with sister but I would seriously think before going to a memories location again. Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Some disappointments

Travelled in Nov 2015 with family and 2 young children. Hotel had water issues. Often our rooms had no hot water or no water at all for hours. A la cartes not worth the time. Food at main buffet and beach bar good. Lighting at night poor on paths and around the pools. Children's pool not clean at times. Our room was well appointed and staff very helpful throughtout the resort. The grounds were very nice.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Average resort.

The grounds of the hotel is good, well maintained, nice and clean. Beach is amazing. Lobby bar is open at 8 AM-late, in most resorts in Cuba bars are open at 6AM-cup of coffee for people living early in the morning for airport. Charge for safety box in room - first time at Cuban resorts-visited Cuba 11 times. Room is nice and clean. Food is monotonous, every day is the same, luck of fruits-surprise?

Hotel Playa Paraiso: perfect getaway

Amazing resort if you are looking for rest and relaxation. Beautiful beach with lots of room and chairs for everyone, fish served on the beach is delicious. The food is the best I've had in any cuban resort. Highly recommend this resort!
