This hotel had the warmest people, always willing to help, and attend to their clients. I had the misfortune of losing some important items and they constantly contacted me to ask if I needed anything else. I recommend this hotel to all! It is however 1 hour from airport...

I loved staying at the bahia prince San Juan, the people were very welcoming and is a amazing for a family vacation. I'm very picky with hotels rooms and I was happy on how clean they are with the whole resort. I will be coming back for next time 😊.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Fantastic Getaway!

Hotel instantly gave us the Wow factor. Hotel is clean and staff is very friendly and courteous. Rooms were very clean and room service is very quick. Large rooms, comfortable beds and pillows. Shuttle service to the beach and other resort make for great rides and opportunity to see other resorts, restaurants and entertainment. Buffet has many options and food is great. Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Great Resort

Great Resort, has everything you could need or want! The beach is fantastic and the water was crystal clear. The variety of food on the buffet is the best that I have seen so far. Looking forward to returning to this resort someday soon!!!!!!!

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Bahia Principe Ambar

We went from June 22 to 29, 2016. This was our 3rd time to the Bahia Principe in Punta Cana. In general, we loved our trip. The only negative was the quality of the buffets. They definately cut down since the last time We were there. Some people told me that it could be because it was the low season???? It wouldn't prevent us from returning, but they need to be carefull that it doesn't continue.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Displeased with my stay.

Some of the staff were unapproachable. I waited 3 house for ice one night and an hour another night. Twice I came back late in the afternoon and my room was not clean and I had food from the night before. I will go to Jamaica again but I will not stay at Grand Bahia Principe Jamaica.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Awesome trip!

The resort is beautiful and felt it was very well maintained. The food was amazing especially at the restaurants. Favorite buffet was by the infinity pool. Staff very friendly there as well. Enjoyed the relaxing experience very much

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Resort is beautiful but has some key issues.

The rooms are nice, resort is beautiful. The beach is beautiful. Very difficult to get reservations at A la carte restaurants. We arrived late around 9:30 pm by the time we checked in all the restaurants were closed at 10pm. Ordered room service and was told it would be 45 mins, it took 2 hours. Since we arrived so late we weren't leaving for the airport until 5pm on the day of departure. It was unbelievable the amount of run around getting a late check out. We had 23 ppl and 10 rooms a [... read more]nd hand to argue with staff for over an hour for 3 rooms for a late check out. In the end we got 3 rooms for 24 ppl with a late check out of 2pm instead of noon, even thought staff admitted that the Air Canada ppl coming in wouldn't get there until 930pm like we did.

Good things: room, service, entertainment (including Tulum Resort and the Hacienda) Mediocre things: food (including a la carte), commuting, Wi-Fi Bad things: beach (rocky, narrow, water limited to waist-deep, sand barriers (ugly, unsafe), got food poisoning

This resort was fantastic. My family enjoyed the food and the ocean was the best that I have been in with all our travels. The only negative thing we experience was the main dining room in the evening, it was hot. Otherwise great resort. Will definitely go back in a heartbeat.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Great Service!

From the moment that we stepped off the bus, the staff at the resort were nothing short of amazing. The service really is top notch. We booked a the penthouse suite with a roof top jacuzzi and we were not disappointed in the least. The room is modern, spacious and was cleaned perfectly each day. We had multiple choices to eat at the a la cartes but we only ending up booking two nights as the buffet was delicious and had many choices to suit all of our needs. The pools were relaxing and h [... read more]ad something for everyone. We would alternate between the quiet pool and the activity pool depending on our mood. In both places we were served pool side. The beach was nice and was only a short trolley ride away. Service on the beach was awesome. All in all it was a great place to stay and we would definitely return. If you are eating in the buffet at breakfast or lunch, please ask for Faustino, he was an amazing server who worked countless hours and never went without a smile. Grounds were kept immaculate Room was standard didn't get what I asked though Great hotel overall The beaches were great and the services were standard. The people were very friendly and courteous. We arrived At 12.30 in the afternoon but our room was only ready at 3.pm and that was not cool at all.

We had a good experience at this hotel where we spent some family time relaxing by the pool, kids played countless hour at the water park, and we enjoyed the nightly entertainment. We left with some great memories and felt fully rested. The food was good and the main buffet had a great selection which varied from night to night. There were, however, things that could have been better. You had to wait for the bus, sometimes it was full and you had to wait for the next one. Also, at times you would not be able to get any towel at the beach since hey had ran out! They also don't have enough restaurants for the number of guests they host. We weren't able to book all of our restaurants since the only available time was at 10:30 pm and that is too late with kids. Overall, we had a good time, but this resort can improve some of its services.

Sensational resort!!!! A fabulous family vacation!!!!!! Would definitely recommend this resort! From the grounds , pool, beach, bars, and variety of foods from the buffets or al a cartes everything was to our liking!!!!!!

My boyfriend & I (29 & 32 yrs) just returned home from Mexico yesterday... weather was great!! nice HOT sunny days, occasional rain but not for long. stayed in villa 72 room 21 (7221)... not a bad location .. farther from lobby (7 min walk) but 4 min walk to beach/1 of the pools/snack bar ..etc.. Resort: grounds are beautifully kept, nice/clean. Large resort but shuttles/trolleys come around often to take you to your room ,the beach, lobby, and the other sister resorts. you are able to use [... read more] any of the resorts (beach, pool, food & drinks etc..) my boyfriend and i didn't mind walking most of the time ..but shuttles do come around often. lots of wildlife around the grounds, very neat to see!! -You can use/go to any of other Bahia resorts (Coba, Si' Kian, Tulum) I found Coba had a lot of kids , tulum was a nice mix and good food, Si' Kian was quiet. before booking i was stuck between Akumal & Si' Kian because we did want, adults only...but after visiting Si' Kian im happy we went with Akumal it was a bit more lively & guests were more relaxed Wifi: free all throughout the property/resort ..even on the beach ATM: in the lobby, US $ Beach: lots of beach areas to choose from - i liked the one near the infinity pool- a bit quieter than the others...water was nice and clear..no sea weed/rocks... not too deep .. able to walk out pretty far... I can't rave about the sand/actually beach itself but it was nice ...and just to be on the beach...can't complain -never had a problem getting beach chairs / under a palm tree, or fresh towels , bars on the beach Room: nice clean rooms, bar restocked daily, clean towels, jacuzzi tub, nice shower (good pressure, nice attachments..hair dryer, iron etc..), balcony, AC & ceiling fan (always nice and cool), safe (free) in room Staff: GREAT! no complaints. soo hardworking. very accommodating. language barrier was no big deal..most could understand what you were asking for/ saying Food: lots to choose from...no shortage there, quality of the food was just okay. nothing to rave about but you won't go hungry. you can eat all meals at any of the resorts. room service available 24 hrs, snack bar open 24 hr A la Cartes: book them ASAP of you will end up not getting in or having late reservation (10pm) went to 3, all very good! try to get in as many as you can, nice change from buffet :) Drinks: ALL inclusive& Premium liqour which was nice (Hennessy, Grey goose, nice wines,Jack Daniels, lots of tequila, cocktails etc ... not watered down or cheap tequila self serve bar set up with shot glasses and about 13 different types of tequila (in the bar by the theater) open all day Theater&shows: plenty of seating, some tables, A/C. different shows every night and very enjoyable. beach party on friday nights Trips: went to Coco Bongs on the tuesday night.. 60 US included all your drinks & transportation there&back (about 40 mins each way). the bus picks you up from the hotel around 9:15 but it doesn't come to pick you up from the bar until 4-4:30. a group of us (7) got our own taxi back at 2:30 (cost us 60 US for 7 ppl) if your looking for a fun night out i recommend this. the show is great! very busy (even on the tues night) hard to find somewhere to sit (especially if your a male) they invite a lot of the females on stage / upper dancing area / table area.... bar/show goes on until about 4:30- 5 am ... great show to see if your looking to have some fun/party Trip 2: went to the Coba ruins & then to a mayan village.... great experience. lots of history & you are able to climb the ruins at Coba only. * must see/climb if able. you can rent bikes for 3 US and bike through the Coba ruins .. or you can walk... or they will drive you on bikes "Privilege Club": I read reviews to stay away & that it was a waste of time...however, they got my bf to agree to it ... in the end I was fine with the decision. We didn't agree to what they were selling but they still gave us a bottle of tequila & a 90 US spa gift certificate that my bf used for a massage. it was a 90 min presentation ... they show you areas exclusive to the privilege club (beach area, certain section of rooms - closer to the beach etc..) maybe not a bad idea for some who enjoy travelling often Location: about 1 hr 15 min drive from the airport. 35 mins to playa del carmen not much around walking distance. you can taxi to other beaches/ attractions if you wish. All in all, great vacay! I would definitely recommend the resort. This was my first time to Mexico, I prfer to travel mostly to the Caribbean.. hope this review helped :) enjoy your vacay if you decide on Bahia Principe Akumal :)

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Safe and beautifully landscaped

This resort is very well maintained and has adequate staff. Food was very good with a lot of high quality items in the buffet. The only drawback were the tiny ants in our hotel room, but we were ground floor and I suppose it was to be expected but there was a lot of them. The transportation to and from the airport was well organized and easy to navigate ( I travelled by Transat). The beaches are beautiful but have no waves due to wave breakers installed just beyond the swim areas.

100% worth every penny. We had a great time and were very impressed with staff and services provided. The little trolley could become a bit of an exercise in patience but ...you're on holiday, what's your rush?

Having arrived unsure of precisely what to expect, my husband and I were very pleasantly surprised. Grounds were fabulous...little touches like maintenance painting the outdoor light posts most days (but not in an invasive way) made the difference. Food at Sian Ka'an was delicious and 9 times out of 10 staff went above and beyond to assist. Also worth mentioning...mosquitos aren't nearly as bad as I had expected (for a hotel in the "jungle") plenty of iguanas on hand to control populations. Not sure if I was fortunate due to minimal rain but I used insect repellent twice the entire trip, my husband who is normally mosquito bait, came away with 5 total bites! Overall, very pleased! Can't wait to return!

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Good family resort !

This is a great family hotel, if you don't have kids I would not recommend it as they are everywhere LOL However, the hotel grounds & rooms are very clean. Service in buffets and restaurants is great and there is lots of variety at the buffets although there is no air-conditioning in the main enclosed buffet, with the heat in Mexico and considering there are meats, fish and even sushi left out it is a must !
