Melia Peninsula Varadero: Favorite Varadero Getaway
The Melia Peninsula in Varadero is one we always return to- plantation style buildings, beautiful grounds, amazing staff who are so welcoming. I have been to many all-inclusive resorts, but the Melia is always like going home.
Paradisus Rio De Oro: Excellent Resort
The hotel is not new but renovated a few years ago and well maintained. The room was clean and well maintained. The balcony was great with ocean view. The staff were really great. The food at the buffet was very good, and diversified. The evening entertainment can be improved a little bit.
Melia Las Dunas: The Best
Rooms were big, nice bathroom. Beds and pillow comfortable Complex kept very clean staff helpful and professional. Buffet amazing!! beautiful beach, swimming pools spotless a bit cool. Really enjoyed the entertainment!!
Melia Cayo Santa Maria: relaxing
Great place to relax and enjoy life. Friendly staff. Older guest which is great not too much noise or drunk 20 yr olds. Beach is nice and clean lots of chairs. Beach staff are amazing drinks kept flowing.
Melia Las Dunas: Needs some work
We had a great time even though there were a few problems with the resort. We saw quite a few cockroaches and one very large one in our room. The rooms were clean but everything was old and falling apart. The toilet seat was broken and removed but never replaced. There was no hot water one day and the next day there was no water at all. On the last day the air conditioning stopped working. The staff at the resort were great, especially the waiter at the buffet was very accommodating and helpful. [... read more]
Memories Cayo Largo: Great experience and very nice resort and island
Hotel is older but very quiet. Beautiful location. Beach is stunning and water warm. No issues with the food whatsoever. We've travelled to many resorts in the Caribbean and this is in the top 3 so far. We will definitely be back.
Melia Marina Varadero: Great Hotel
Great resort, all rooms have sea view, lovely staff, food is not wow but better than other hotels. If you like seeing old cars, this is the place you must visit. the whole country is like a museum for old Chevrolet and ford card which are maintained in an immaculate state.
Sol Rio de Luna y Mares: Another great vacation
I have just spent two weeks at Sol Rio de Luna y Mares and as last year we all had a great time. The staff is wonderful and very helpful. Our rooms were always kept clean and the amenities kept up daily. The grounds were also beautifully groomed which relaxed both my mind and body. We enjoyed our daily helping of fresh fish every lunch hour at the beach bar. The buffet also had a great variety of items (this is where we had breakfast and dinner). The night time entertainment was varied, interest [... read more]
Melia Jardines del Rey: amazing will go back
the staff of this hotel are amazing right down to the grounds keepers.always heard bad things about food in cuba but here the food was excellent.first time in cuba will be back soon.went in off season so hotel was not quite full, but still a good time.
Memories Cayo Largo: 16th trip.......will there be a 17th......
We have been to Cayo Largo 16 times, 14 times at Sol Cayo Largo and 2 times at Playa Blanca. Previously we went to Playa Blanca because of price, it was not worth the savings. This trip to Sol Cayo Largo, we were pleased to be back. The food was excellent, the beach was awesome. The rooms and overall resort property are nice, some evidence of tired in need of upgrades. Water was on and off for 5 days, an inconvenience especially when you need a shower. I suspect this is a problem with the island [... read more]
Melia Jardines del Rey: Great resort
Overall a beautiful resort. Beach isn't great but still lovely to look at. We were without water two nights in a row so couldn't shower. Mini fridge was never restocked even though we always left a very good tip. I would still go back.
Melia Marina Varadero: Had a good time, but could be better...
The resort is generally welcoming and we did have a good time, however there were a few things that could be improved. When we first arrived, we found out that the lock to our room was not working, and we had to wait for the technician to fix it although we were super hungry. The room was not very well maintained, the garbage can in the room was broken, and the window over the bath tub doesn't close completely and had a slit in between. What's even worse is that there is no shower curtain at the [... read more]
Sol Varadero Beach: Awesome resort
The service from the hotel was great from the time I got there the staff from the front desk to the lobby staff. The room service by the maids was great and very friendly and always asked if I needed anything. The cleanest of the whole hotel was great there where people cleaning inside and outside everyday. The staff at the restaurants were awesome they looked after your drinks cleared your plates and the food was fantastic everyday. The bar tenders were very good they always made sure I was tak [... read more]
Sol Cayo Coco: would return

Starfish Cayo Largo: Far exceeded our expectations!!!
Fantastic resort, fantastic staff, Spotless, would go back in a minute!! took a car around the island, marina area was a lot of fun, little shops. went to the turtle sanctuary which was really interesting.
Paradisus Cancun: Great resort, depends on room you get
Very clean, service is good but very average if you have a butler, they changed the administration and they were not even able to confirm my airport shuttle in time, lucky we went on our own 30 min prior. Bags sent late to room, breakfast 1.5 hours late, checkin took 1 hour and then 30 min more for bags, thus despite leaving very early we didn't get to do beach time until 4:30 pm. They gave us a basic room despite our luxury booking and then argued that it was the room they typically give, thoug [... read more]
Melia Cayo Coco: Great resort
Everything was good. Resort is getting a little tired but they are improving some things. Italian and Cuban restaurants could improve there food. I found the food in the buffet was better in April than in November. All in all was a good vacation.
The Reserve at Paradisus Punta Cana: Wonderful week away.
The hotel and the rooms were excellent. The staff attentive, we never felt pressured to tip. Ovi our concierge was very professional, personable, attentive and helpful. The Master suite was more than expected, wonderful bed, relaxing hot tub and more space than most single apartments back home. Great selection of food with Lobster and Fillet on the Gabi Beach Buffet every night, did not make going to the restaurants a requirement. Beautiful beach even though mother nature tried to cover it in se [... read more]
Melia Las Dunas: Love it here
It's the people I keep coming back to, the service is impecable. The workers remember you from past trips and it seems that they go out of their way to make you feel even more comfortable. Shout outs to all of them, way too many to list
Melia Las Americas: Trip of a lifetime
The Melia Las Americas was beautiful inside and out. Staff was amazing, food was amazing, never seen anything quite like it and we are definitely going back. Top notch all the way. We made some really great friends there, including some of the staff.
